Eliza Madrigal: the night before, I was amazed to be able to see some of the meteor shower even though the moon was soooo bright
Eliza Madrigal: in Miami it is difficult anyway, to see the stars clearly (light pollution) so it was a rare treat

Eliza Madrigal: I got into the shower yesterday, feeling a little bothered that I hadn't made much time for contemplative things....
Eliza Madrigal: so I was singing mantras, in the shower, but I was bothered by that (is this appropriate- multitasking like this?)

Eliza Madrigal: so I was wrestling with a bit of guilt or something... but the thought came up "just offer everything"
Eliza Madrigal: and it felt so light... what a good idea... so I went through the whole day that I'd sort of run through (one thing after another not very attentively)
Eliza Madrigal: and re-visited in a kind of 'more mindful' way
Eliza Madrigal: in the end, it had the same effect as though I'd been that way all day

Wol Euler: a tale is told of two priests who disagreed on that issue, whether (in their case) smoking prayers were allowed

Wol Euler: they couldn't decide it, despite years of discussion, so they wrote to the Pope for clarification

Wol Euler: when they next met in the pub, they both said to the other "Ha! I was right! the Pope agreed wth me"

Wol Euler: well, it turned out that they had asked different questions.
Wol Euler: One had asked whether it was permissable to pray while smoking. The pope replied, "The urge to prayer is a good one and shold not be resisted because it comes at an awkward time."
Eliza Madrigal: (waves to Stevie and IMs her the beginning of story)
Wol Euler: the other asked, whether it was permissable to smoke while praying. The pope replied "No, prayer should be the focus of your attention and consciousness. To smoke while praying would distract you, and should be avoided."

Eliza Madrigal: I remember a workshop wherein someone was wrestling with smoking cigars, and it was suggested that they really pay attention to themselves smoking when they do... really do it with awareness

FcSeeker Resident: imo to be enlightened is 'only' to be more aware than when is not enlightened, that it is completely an other story if one is a prayer or not, lives responding and reacting or not...that all those things are not based onto being enlightened or not...

Wol Euler: well, there are many parts to it, not just "shoe".

Wol Euler: usually there is a shoe shape, single item, plus at least two prim objects (the left and right shoes/feet)

Wol Euler: and since viewer 2 introduced alpha transparency, sometimes also alpha textures
