Wol Euler: hello aggers
Agatha Macbeth: Hello Wollers :)
Wol Euler: I shall be drifting in and out, doing packing type thigns
Agatha Macbeth: Is the suitcase all bulging?
Wol Euler: not yet, but close
Wol Euler: I actually started last night!
Agatha Macbeth: Hope you made a check list, so as not to forget anything
Wol Euler: sort of :)
Agatha Macbeth: Hmmm
Agatha Macbeth looks suspiciously at you
Wol Euler looks back innocently.
Agatha Macbeth: (love the hair btw)
Wol Euler smiles.
Wol Euler: thank you
Agatha Macbeth: Tho I think I've seen it before :)
Wol Euler: once or twice, perhpas
Agatha Macbeth: Mmm
--BELL--1315
Agatha Macbeth: Where's the outfit from?
Wol Euler: Graves
Wol Euler: fairly new
Agatha Macbeth: Ah, thought as much
Wol Euler: the patterned transparent latex is something of a brand identity
Agatha Macbeth: Yes, totally
Agatha Macbeth: The boots too I think?
Wol Euler: mmhmm :)
Agatha Macbeth smiles
Wol passes me a pic
Agatha Macbeth: Yay
Agatha Macbeth: ty :)
Wol Euler smiles.
Wol Euler: that was the best of them
Wol Euler: so hard to get good photos of people dancing
Wol Euler: especially when all facing in different diretions
Agatha Macbeth: Aww, can't see Boxy
Wol Euler: he was too far away, couldn't get him in and have a reasonable people size
Agatha Macbeth: But I have some good pics of us, plus the cake....will put them on Flickr
Wol Euler: good idea
Wol Euler: hello zen
Agatha Macbeth: Hiya Zenny
Zen Arado: I hope there is room for me to sit down :-)
Wol Euler: of course
Zen Arado: Hi :)
Agatha Macbeth: You may need the outer circle ;-)
Agatha Macbeth: So how's life Zen?
Zen Arado: waves his union Jack
Agatha Macbeth: I don't see it :p
Wol Euler grins.
Agatha Macbeth: ty Wol [again]
Zen Arado: ty Wol
Wol Euler: yw
Zen Arado: don't tell me I have to make one
Wol Euler: nah :)
Agatha Macbeth: Yay
Agatha Macbeth: Looks that way
Agatha Macbeth: Should be fairly easy I would think
Agatha Macbeth: In theory a flag should be one of the easiest things to make in SL
Zen Arado: yes I guess
Agatha Macbeth: Maybe even I could do it :p
Zen Arado: just upload a pic and stick it on a prim
Agatha Macbeth: ty x 3
Wol Euler: make it a flexy prim that responds to sim wind, and bob's your near paternal relative
Agatha Macbeth: Wol is sending me lots of birthday pics :)
Wol Euler: zen got one, sadly the only shot in which one can see his face and yours :)
Wol Euler: so hard to get a group of people all facing the same way :)
Agatha Macbeth: Aww
Zen Arado: yes they keep turning around
Agatha Macbeth: Yes, unless we synch dance
Wol Euler nods.
Wol Euler: need to sync standing direction too, we were synced just facing different ways
Zen Arado: yes that's true
Agatha Macbeth: We manage it at Fracture ok
Wol Euler: and I didn't want to spoil the mood by giving people directions
Zen Arado: we weren't meticulous enough
Wol Euler: sure, there's a natural focus there, everyone faces the DJ stand and the announcer text board
Agatha Macbeth: Ah, of course
Zen Arado: it's because this place is circular
Wol Euler: yep
Agatha Macbeth nods
Zen Arado: we should stick a board over the fountain
--BELL--1330
Zen Arado: I was just watching some older movies of the Royal family
Zen Arado: quite touching
Agatha Macbeth: Oh poor you ;-)
Zen Arado: I'm not exactly a royalist
Agatha Macbeth: The queen mom was nice I must admit
Zen Arado: this is the big weekend
Zen Arado: 60 years on the throne
Agatha Macbeth: I think I'll miss it somehow
Zen Arado: don't you get a day off on Monday?
Agatha Macbeth: Doesn't seem five minutes since the last jubilee
Wol Euler: wow
Agatha Macbeth: Yes, but that's different!
Wol Euler: I wonder whether she gets the day off?
Zen Arado: that's nothing, I remember the coronation
Agatha Macbeth: The queen?
Wol Euler: mmhmm
Agatha Macbeth: OMG
Wol Euler: well? she is an employee of a state organization
Agatha Macbeth: Which one?
Wol Euler: the Crown, of course
Agatha Macbeth: Never thought of it like that
Wol Euler smiles.
Zen Arado: she has to work hard
Wol Euler nods.
Zen Arado: I think she's going to float down the Thames on a barge
Agatha Macbeth: Yes, I wouldn't want the job
Wol Euler: true
Wol Euler: (not wanting the job)
Zen Arado: she has provided continuity
Wol Euler: and she seems the least appalling of the bunch :)
Zen Arado: perhaps she brings a lot of intangible benefits we don't really acknowledge
Agatha Macbeth: Apalling or appealing?
Wol Euler: down to the grandkids, perhaps, don't know enough about them
Wol Euler: no E
Agatha Macbeth: Ah
Zen Arado: I'm more against the institution than the people
Agatha Macbeth: Me too
Zen Arado: the principal of them being entitled to so much
Wol Euler nods.
Zen Arado: just by inheritance
Zen Arado: that should be principle
Wol Euler: I'm curious how you got your speech typer to make that distinction, zen :)
Agatha Macbeth smiles
Zen Arado: I didn't, I had to correct it :-)
Wol Euler: ah :)
Agatha Macbeth: Aha
Agatha Macbeth: Cheat Zenny :)
Wol Euler: that would be very exciting, and useful, if it could recognize when you were talking to it (to correct a mistake) and when you were talking through it to us (for it to type)
Wol Euler: another two or three software generations will have that down, probably
Zen Arado: it should recognise the right word from the context
Agatha Macbeth: Is that technically possible?
Wol Euler: not yet
Zen Arado: but it doesn't always do that
Wol Euler: but surely not impossible
Wol Euler nods.
Agatha Macbeth: Get Alf on it!
Wol Euler: it might have done better had "principle" not been the second word in the sentence
Zen Arado: oh you just select a word and corrected
Zen Arado: correct it
Wol Euler smiles.
Zen Arado: but that takes time
Agatha Macbeth: Interesting that you still do the typing anim...
Zen Arado: every time you do it learns
Wol Euler nods.
Zen Arado: so it becomes more accurate over time
Zen Arado: it remembers the corrections
Wol Euler nods.
Wol Euler: it would not surprise me at all if AI were to arise out of systtems like this
Zen Arado: I'll have to go, I have an invite to a dance
Wol Euler: enjoy!
Agatha Macbeth: Aww
Wol Euler: bye zen, enjoy the weekend
Zen Arado: thank you byee
Agatha Macbeth: Bye, dance well
Wol Euler: and have a great week! I'll be on relatively seldom next week
Agatha Macbeth: :(
Wol Euler: family being what it is
Agatha Macbeth: Family comes first
Wol Euler nods.
Wol Euler: and I owe myself some sleep too
Agatha Macbeth: Yeh, cash the cheque
Wol Euler: and I want to try to read at least one of ... what's his name?
Wol Euler: "and quiet flows the Don"
Wol Euler: that guy
Agatha Macbeth: Fred Scrott?
Wol Euler: trilogy of russian novels
Agatha Macbeth: Ah
Agatha Macbeth: Dostoyevsky
Wol Euler: was that Turgenev?
Wol Euler: not D, no
Wol Euler: I know that
Agatha Macbeth: Gurdjieff?
Wol Euler thwaps you gently with a pillow
Agatha Macbeth: Ouspensky?
Agatha Macbeth: Trotsky?
Agatha Macbeth: Chekov?
Wol Euler: Sholokov
Agatha Macbeth: 'Fire all phasers captain'
Wol Euler: *Sholokhov
Agatha Macbeth: Aha
--BELL--1345
Wol Euler: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/And_Quiet_Flows_the_Don
Wol Euler: it's the first of a trilogy
Wol Euler: and when we were kids, they were on the bookshelf downstairs. Have to see if it#s still there
Agatha Macbeth: How many altogether then :p
Wol Euler: heheh
Wol Euler: not D. Adams.
Agatha Macbeth: Dawn?
Wol Euler: Douglas
Agatha Macbeth: Ah
Wol Euler: famous for writing a trilogy in four parts
Agatha Macbeth: Watership Down?
Wol Euler: I thought you were referring to that
Agatha Macbeth: Right
Wol Euler: H2G2
Agatha Macbeth: Hmm
Wol Euler: heheh
Wol Euler: Hitch-Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy
Agatha Macbeth: No that was Richard Adams, what am I thinking?
Wol Euler: indeed
Agatha Macbeth: Yes
Wol Euler: but they did look alike.
Agatha Macbeth: Only one is still alive
Wol Euler: in the way of Sonny Rollins and Henry Rollins :)
Agatha Macbeth: Y-e-e-s
Wol Euler giggles.
Alfred Kelberry: you again
Alfred Kelberry: :)
Agatha Macbeth: Alfie!
Alfred Kelberry: purr
Wol Euler: wonders never cease, a purring dogbox
Alfred Kelberry: right
Agatha Macbeth waits for the barking cat version
Alfred Kelberry: so, shall we continue with flexing load?
Agatha Macbeth: Eh?
Wol Euler: nah, we finished that story
Alfred Kelberry: *points to woly*
Alfred Kelberry: hmm
Agatha Macbeth: It's rude to pont ;-)
Agatha Macbeth: Or point even
Wol Euler: unless over a river in France
Alfred Kelberry: not if done with a cute paw
Agatha Macbeth: Right
Agatha Macbeth: Oh ok, you're forgiven
Agatha Macbeth: Hello Zon
Alfred Kelberry: um... tell us something we don't know about construction, woly?
Wol Euler: you'd be seriuosly uneasy if you knew how much of it was done with glue
Agatha Macbeth: Ha
Wol Euler: instead of rivets or whatever
Agatha Macbeth: Looking at my house I can believe it
Wol Euler: we call it "chemical fixative" or even "silicone" but it's just glue
Alfred Kelberry: hmm, some super glue, i imagine?
Wol Euler: nope
Wol Euler: hello zon
Alfred Kelberry: well, at least bearing walls are not glued together, i hope :)
Alfred Kelberry: zon :)
Agatha Macbeth: Hopefully not the foundations either...
Alfred Kelberry: some houses in the u.s. might though
Alfred Kelberry: a lot of them look rather... flaky
Agatha Macbeth: Wonder what the Japanese use for their paper houses?
Alfred Kelberry: bamboo?
Agatha Macbeth: Bamboo glue?
Alfred Kelberry: um
Alfred Kelberry: *looks at woly*
Wol Euler is not Japanese
Alfred Kelberry: :)
Agatha Macbeth: Guess it would be better to ask somebody from Japan
Agatha Macbeth: Snap
Alfred Kelberry: no
Alfred Kelberry: woly must know
Alfred Kelberry: she's smart
Wol Euler: hehehe
Agatha Macbeth: and cute
Alfred Kelberry: that too
Wol Euler blushes.
Wol Euler is off to resume full-time packing at the bell
Alfred Kelberry: ha
Agatha Macbeth: What time's the flight?
Alfred Kelberry: 90 sec packing
Wol Euler: 8:45
Wol Euler: so I have to leave the house at 6:00
Agatha Macbeth: Right
Agatha Macbeth: What time will it be when you get there?
Wol Euler: so if I can get totally packed in an hour, I can have five hours sleep
Wol Euler: 3pm
Wol Euler: local time
Agatha Macbeth nods
--BELL--1400
Wol Euler: which is pretty good, four hours to talk and then collapse into bed not too far from local sleepytime
Alfred Kelberry: yep, works well
Agatha Macbeth: Wow, they go to bed early
Alfred Kelberry: say hi to lufthansa from me
Wol Euler: will do
Wol Euler: goodnight, my dears, speak to you again at some uncertain future time
Agatha Macbeth: Shall I take the log?
Wol Euler: enjoy the weekend, be happy and healthy
Wol Euler: please do, actually
Agatha Macbeth: Right
Wol Euler: I won't have time to write it up
Wol Euler: ty
Wol Euler: ♥
Agatha Macbeth: ♥
Wol Euler: goodnight!
Alfred Kelberry: imagine an announcement in the airport: "miss woly, please, proceed to the business class lounge"
Agatha Macbeth: Have a good flight babe
Wol Euler: ty :)
Alfred Kelberry: yep, fly well and classy
Alfred Kelberry: she's got nice butt
Agatha Macbeth: She undoubtedly will
Alfred Kelberry: so...
Alfred Kelberry: where was i?
Agatha Macbeth: In the fountain
Alfred Kelberry: ah, right
Agatha Macbeth: and still are ;)
Alfred Kelberry: that is correct
Agatha Macbeth: How come your cardboard doesn't get soggy?
Alfred Kelberry: robopup
Alfred Kelberry: water resistant
Agatha Macbeth: They think of everything these days
Alfred Kelberry: let's wait for Storm
Agatha Macbeth: To do what?
Alfred Kelberry: he will tell some stories
Agatha Macbeth: Stormanory
Alfred Kelberry: i see him ignoring this very high profile meeting
Agatha Macbeth: Well, who'd have thought?
Alfred Kelberry: wait, i'll page him
Agatha Macbeth: He's probably building a lamasery or something
Alfred Kelberry: maybe he's lost
Agatha Macbeth: Lost what?
Agatha Macbeth: Horizon?
Agatha Macbeth: Actually I think I'll be off too
Agatha Macbeth: Try turning up at the beginning of meetings for a change Alf ;-)
Alfred Kelberry: you be good :)
Agatha Macbeth: Das vidaniya :)
Alfred Kelberry: da tovarisch :)
I poof and, true to form, Korel and Storm arrive
Alfred Kelberry: kori girl!
Alfred Kelberry: hi :) missed you
Korel Laloix: Heya
Korel Laloix: Guess I missed it.
Korel Laloix: Heya Storm.
Storm Nordwind: Hi guys. busy busy at home
Alfred Kelberry: storm! you missed the enigmatic aga
Alfred Kelberry: she just left
Korel Laloix: Good busy or bad busy?
Storm Nordwind: Not staying long
Storm Nordwind: All good
Korel Laloix: Great...
Korel Laloix: Hope not to be on long either.
Korel Laloix: Boss is almost ready to leave.
Storm Nordwind: And how particularly was Aga enigmatic today?
Alfred Kelberry: as usual
Alfred Kelberry: witty mysterious remarks
Storm Nordwind: Waiting for you guys to add an exhibit to the upper floor of the Dome.
Korel Laloix: Not had the chance to do that yet.
Korel Laloix: But might this weekend.
Korel Laloix: Not a lot to do.
Alfred Kelberry: gah, motion scripting takes time
Storm Nordwind: Great. meeting at Sunday noon
Alfred Kelberry: *boops kori's nose*
Storm Nordwind: motion scripting is easy for experts like you
Alfred Kelberry: muahaha
Alfred Kelberry: not funny
Korel Laloix: I will not be doing anything complicated.
Storm Nordwind: None of the scripting in mine is complicated
--BELL--1415
Korel Laloix: I do like complicated in some ways though.
Korel Laloix: More with people though.
Alfred Kelberry: that's another project, kori :)
Korel Laloix: I hope so...
Korel Laloix: Have a date tommorow night.... smiles
Alfred Kelberry: i think storm is busy cooking
Storm Nordwind: Is there a difference, do you think, between complex and complicated. Either in code or in people?
Alfred Kelberry: kori, have great sex!
Korel Laloix: Big difference I think.
Korel Laloix: At least in people.
Storm Nordwind smacks boxy hard
Korel Laloix: Thanks.. but no... I really don't do that....or try not to do that... especially on the first date...lol
Alfred Kelberry: storm doesn't like when people enjoy good sex :)
Storm Nordwind: He doesn't???!!
Alfred Kelberry: or was it a random smack? :)
Korel Laloix: I really dont do good sex... I do mindblowing outstanding sureal borderline illegal sex.
Alfred Kelberry: good question, btw. re: complex.
Korel Laloix: Complex just mean a lot of components.
Storm Nordwind: Yes. I see it as that
Korel Laloix: Complicated means a lot of overlapping and intermingled aspects.
Korel Laloix: Comiplicated is much more interesting.
Alfred Kelberry: :)
Storm Nordwind: Complex to me can be a lot of interrelationships between different parts, the more interrelationships the more complex.
Korel Laloix: And I find, that complex people tend to be arrogant.... compicated people tend to be engaging.
Korel Laloix: Probably a matter of definitions.
Alfred Kelberry: and perspective
Storm Nordwind: Complicated is often lack of straightforwardness within a syste.
Korel Laloix: And that I like.
Storm Nordwind: By my definition I find complexity interesting and complication just a problem!
Korel Laloix smiles
Korel Laloix: Bymine, I find complexity boring and complication interesting.
Korel Laloix: I wonder how different our thoughts are.... and how poorly our use of words captures our meanings.
Storm Nordwind smiles
Korel Laloix: Maybe we mean the same thing.
Storm Nordwind: yes perhaps! We can cogitate complexity and complication elsewhen on our calendar. Ciao!
Korel Laloix: But I do have to say, that just becuase someone is complicated, I dont equate that with problems.
Korel Laloix: ciao bello
Storm Nordwind waves
Korel Laloix: Almost time to go home...
Alfred Kelberry: yes... right now!
Alfred Kelberry: :)
Korel Laloix: Going to go for a nice long but slow run this evening.
Alfred Kelberry: run well
Alfred Kelberry: i'll go for a nice slow meal
Korel Laloix: Getting back into it is always difficult though.
Korel Laloix: But lovely when I am back.
Alfred Kelberry: so long!
Korel Laloix: CIao
Hmm....looks like I left too soon :(
