stevenaia Michinaga: this weekend our RL Tao study Group is having an open house, no idea what the attendace will be, we've been meeting over 2 years

Lucinda Lavender: it feel like everything goes more quickly now to me
Lucinda Lavender: and that may be why moving slowly seems like a good balancing thing

Lucinda Lavender: I am just thinking about how we appear to save time with our gadgets
stevenaia Michinaga: yes, that past "99 day" thing was about slowing down for me

stevenaia Michinaga: no gadgets involved, except the thing that told me how slow I was or wasn;t going

stevenaia Michinaga: I find it tough to do it every day, this time, but it was good

stevenaia Michinaga: I mean I didn;t do it every day

Lucinda Lavender: takes something special; to do it every day
stevenaia Michinaga: yet, we do so much every day
Lucinda Lavender: seems like life has fewer everyday jobs...but yes we do so much
stevenaia Michinaga: just tough to add one more thing without quite an effort, even 9 seconds at a time
Lucinda Lavender: was your practice one of writing?
stevenaia Michinaga: to bad we jsut can't pass it on to our dreams and have that part of us do it
Lucinda Lavender: or silence?

stevenaia Michinaga: it was one of doing my meditation, CHi Gong and tai chi , only doing it all slower

Lucinda Lavender: without multitasking:)
stevenaia Michinaga: it needs to take more time, by extending everything
Lucinda Lavender: strtching the taffy of time
stevenaia Michinaga: and slowing down, like vsualizing doing it under water, for instance
stevenaia Michinaga: time taffy, how wonderful

Lucinda Lavender: I watched a cool show on PBS about plants and their growth
Lucinda Lavender: how they communicate chemically
Lucinda Lavender: and tho the growth is slow they are doing alot
Lucinda Lavender: sometimes the tabacco plant switches who it attracts for pollination!
Lucinda Lavender: from a catapillar to a hummingbird
Lucinda Lavender: catapillares will eat the plant

Lucinda Lavender: if you have a desk that holds paper and pen...it will just wait for you

Lucinda Lavender: I often think moving creates the breaking of the thread to the dream
Lucinda Lavender: so lying still and speaking into a recorder might work
Lucinda Lavender: ...especially with eyes shut

Lucinda Lavender: so that you are flying back into the dream as if sending a bird back in to capture it
Lucinda Lavender: to recall the situation, the lighting, colors etc

Lucinda Lavender: this morning I was walking into a wood...and off to the side were old appliances and rabbit cages
Lucinda Lavender: I sat to look at a kitten that approached and its owner appeared
Lucinda Lavender: it was an exploratory dream
Lucinda Lavender: i love that
Lucinda Lavender: it wakes me up to noticing

Lucinda Lavender: and it was a happy surprise
Lucinda Lavender: children are in the neighborhood

Lucinda Lavender: but it is gone now
