Lucinda Lavender: So nice to see you Eliza...
Eliza Madrigal: Hi Luci with balloon :)
Eliza Madrigal: Sorry to be late... was wrapping things up
    Lucinda Lavender: it is fine...
Eliza Madrigal: Curious to know how you are, and to hear about the painting project
    --BELL--
Lucinda Lavender: I am good...my son is visiting for several days:)...of course am thinking about Irene as well.
    Lucinda Lavender: How are you?
Eliza Madrigal: oh, yes of course, with your daughter in NY
Eliza Madrigal: Irene seems to be less powerful than first thought though, thank goodness
Lucinda Lavender: yes...how to evacuate without transportation...
Lucinda Lavender: are you having big wind now?
Eliza Madrigal: I'm just fine, thanks... and no.... when a hurricane is about this far off shore, the skies are GORGEOUS
    Eliza Madrigal: robins egg blue
Eliza Madrigal: later we may have 'bands' as we did yesterday
    Lucinda Lavender: wow!...interesting...ours too
Lucinda Lavender: not the bands tho...
Eliza Madrigal: they are like waves of a storm that come in... we joke in the neighborhood during tropical storms or 'light' hurricanes, that the 'feeder bands' are the time to go in and have a snack
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Eliza Madrigal: then the skies clear and one can go out again
    Lucinda Lavender: :))
Eliza Madrigal: during the eye of a powerful storm it is the same way
Eliza Madrigal: when right in the center, clear clear clear
Eliza Madrigal: impossible to convey how clear, but amazing
Lucinda Lavender: wow...I could see how hurracaine shopping with school shopping would be quite something
Eliza Madrigal: :)) Yes, not a big deal til later in the day when the storm started getting stronger
    Eliza Madrigal: then the crowds....
    Eliza Madrigal: ::jaws sound::::
    Lucinda Lavender: ah..
Eliza Madrigal: So tell me about how the painting project went?
Lucinda Lavender: Ah...super fun and surprising to watch adults play
Lucinda Lavender: it was kind of a dream come true
    Eliza Madrigal smiles
    Eliza Madrigal listens
Lucinda Lavender: seeing the people talk about the colors as they went
Eliza Madrigal: Oh, Hi Santo! :))
    Lucinda Lavender: Hi Santoshima:)
    Santoshima Resident: hello, good morning!
Santoshima Resident: sorry to interrupt, please continue
Lucinda Lavender: we are talking about a painting project I was part of last weekend
    Santoshima Resident: ah, sounds good
Lucinda Lavender: we poured paint down a wood structured and watched the colors swirl and
Santoshima Resident: soudns like a lot of fun
Eliza Madrigal: Did people share about what the colors made them feel?
Lucinda Lavender: I have a few pictures ...
    Eliza Madrigal: Oh, great!
Lucinda Lavender: well lnot really but one fellow spoke about how the pink made him think of the referees
    Eliza Madrigal: referees?
Lucinda Lavender: I have not uploaded to here with photos...any suggestions on the way?
Lucinda Lavender: sprorts refs somethink I guess that was an unusual color for them ot something
Santoshima Resident: Ill try a test here:
Eliza Madrigal: sure... but it does cost lindens...
    Santoshima Resident: didn't work
Eliza Madrigal: in the 'file' menu there is an 'upload' option
Eliza Madrigal: and that is how you access any picture in your computer... as you would to attach in an email
Eliza Madrigal: then it comes in as a texture I think
Eliza Madrigal: if you need lindens let me know... have some just sitting here :)
Eliza Madrigal thinks of how fun that would be to say in RL... 'sure just grab a handful from that pile over there' heheh
    Santoshima Resident: she's gone!
    Eliza Madrigal: Oh... sigh
    Santoshima Resident: ah, wb lucinda
Eliza Madrigal: when internet connection isn't strong the slightest thing like uploading or watching a video can kick one off
    Eliza Madrigal: Welcome back Luci!
    --BELL--
Lucinda Lavender: well that did not work as well as I thought
    Eliza Madrigal smiles
Lucinda Lavender: it is ok tho...
Eliza Madrigal: if you want to send me a pic in email I can upload one here to share/show
Eliza Madrigal: OR maybe attach to the log then we can see :)
    Lucinda Lavender: ah ok:)
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Eliza Madrigal: (oh, sorry bell didn'trealize)
    Santoshima Resident: p
    Santoshima Resident: np
Eliza Madrigal: How are you Santo? Finished traveling for now?
    Santoshima Resident: yes, tahnkfully
Santoshima Resident: getting ready to move into work mode
    Eliza Madrigal: ooo sounds ominous
    Santoshima Resident: nah, it's good
    Eliza Madrigal: :)) glad
Lucinda Lavender: ok...have sent the pic to you Eliza:)
    Eliza Madrigal: great! One sec...
Eliza Madrigal: good to take pleasure in one's work
Eliza Madrigal: oops, lost Luci again just as I have the pic :)
    Santoshima Resident: hmm,
Santoshima Resident: it that how one sends an image? as a texture?
    Santoshima Resident: is that?
    Eliza Madrigal nods
Eliza Madrigal: it makes it easy to make a picture in world
Eliza Madrigal: or to use anything as a texture for building
Santoshima Resident: how did you convert it?
Eliza Madrigal: thankfully I didn't need to... I imported it as a jpg and it converts itself
Santoshima Resident: oh ... easy then
Eliza Madrigal: yes and now I can make a poster...
    Santoshima Resident: wb, luci
Eliza Madrigal: wb again Luci :)
    Lucinda Lavender: hmmm
Santoshima Resident: thanks for the photo!
    Lucinda Lavender: back:)
    Lucinda Lavender: Thanks so Eliza!
Lucinda Lavender: That was the first pour...
Lucinda Lavender: it went on for an hour or so...
Eliza Madrigal: each person pouring what they felt?
Santoshima Resident: where did this paint project happen?
Lucinda Lavender: at my friend's house...she invited about 12 people and they all brough paint, we put them into drink cups and mixed them and then started pouring
Lucinda Lavender: I made some movies with my phone and unfortunately they are in need of rotation...
Santoshima Resident: wood form like skyscraper
    Lucinda Lavender: yes it is!
    Eliza Madrigal: ah, true
Eliza Madrigal: wow Christo is bound to get ideas, lol
Lucinda Lavender: dreated a very balanced pour really
    Lucinda Lavender: Christo?
Santoshima Resident: wrapping , surrounding kind of work
Lucinda Lavender: yes..group decision making as well
Eliza Madrigal: yes if you remember the Miami islands wrapped in pink during the 80s...
Lucinda Lavender: listening to voices of those who wanted to make the choices:)
    Santoshima Resident: http://www.christojeanneclaude.net/
    --BELL--
Eliza Madrigal: ooooooh.... so no one had to pour everything... just what they wanted?
Lucinda Lavender: thanks Santoshima...yes we went by inspiration I think taking turns...very interesting sense that we had as a group...
    Lucinda Lavender: sorry bell
    Santoshima Resident: np!
    Eliza Madrigal: interesting metaphor
Lucinda Lavender: wow Santoshima...I have not seen these before...the work of Christo.
    Santoshima Resident: :)
Lucinda Lavender: it felt very PaB
Eliza Madrigal: that's what I was thinkiing... not looking for any particular result
Eliza Madrigal: seeing what emerges from individual contributiions offered
Lucinda Lavender: And the whote dissapeared
    Lucinda Lavender: sorry shite
    Eliza Madrigal: :))
    Lucinda Lavender: , White
    Eliza Madrigal nods
    Lucinda Lavender: opps...

    Eliza Madrigal giggles
    Lucinda Lavender: :)))
    Lucinda Lavender: me too
    Eliza Madrigal: :))
Eliza Madrigal: I got to see these islands.... was amazing. standing on the bridge ...
Eliza Madrigal: just clicked the Christo link :)
Eliza Madrigal: many offices here still have the framed pictures up - was a big moment and big controversy too
Eliza Madrigal: how playful are 'supposed' to be? :))
    Lucinda Lavender: ah...yes...very contraversial
Lucinda Lavender: which picture should I look at to see thebridge?
    Eliza Madrigal: Hi oO0Oo! :)
Eliza Madrigal: Oh, one can't see the bridge... was remembering my perspective of seeing the islands
Eliza Madrigal: when wrapped in pink :)
    Lucinda Lavender: Hi oOOOo
    oO0Oo Resident: Hello everyone!
    Santoshima Resident: hello Sam
Lucinda Lavender: we are looking at some pictures of art installations:)

    Lucinda Lavender: http://www.christojeanneclaude.net/
Eliza Madrigal: at the start of the project
Lucinda Lavender: cool Eliza:) I did not see that before..you are so adept
    Lucinda Lavender: adults playing
Eliza Madrigal: Oh very easy Luci, now that you have the texture....
Eliza Madrigal: you rezz a box then stretch it flat... then click 'texture' and find the picture and select
    Eliza Madrigal: voila :)
    Lucinda Lavender: very cool!
Lucinda Lavender: the base comes apart to creat 3 frames
Santoshima Resident: oh, just seeing now, it was hidden by the fountain ...
Lucinda Lavender: that she may use for outdoor art
    Santoshima Resident: nicely done!
Eliza Madrigal: oooooooh, at the end when you remove those is it blank or open?
Lucinda Lavender: I have lots of pics on my facebook
    Lucinda Lavender: yes
Eliza Madrigal: ty :) maybe should make it a bit larger....
Lucinda Lavender: and then there is this huge area of blending colors that poured off
    Lucinda Lavender: thanks
Lucinda Lavender: I wish I could show you the others pic that I recieved
Lucinda Lavender: this looks so plain compared to how it ended up
    Eliza Madrigal: can't be uploaded?
Lucinda Lavender: from FB do you think?
oO0Oo Resident: ty.. oh yes! the tall pours.. Can't help but make an association with World Trade Center building.. when put together with Lucinda there. A re-colouring? A revealing?
Lucinda Lavender: oh my O yes! had not thought
oO0Oo Resident: Put in a new light... a rainbow coat
Eliza Madrigal nods... indeed Santo had seen skyscraper and you are right....
    Eliza Madrigal: lovely
Lucinda Lavender: that is quite a striking thought...giving new color to the buildings
    Eliza Madrigal: mmm
Lucinda Lavender: I will look into the fb question
    Santoshima Resident: (what's fb?)
    --BELL--
    Lucinda Lavender: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?f...type=1&theater
    Lucinda Lavender: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?f...type=1&theater
Eliza Madrigal: the page isn't open to share that way Luci
Eliza Madrigal: but you can save the picture yourself
Eliza Madrigal: from their page , by clicking 'save as' then it will be in your personal folder
Lucinda Lavender: is it called tag the photo?
Eliza Madrigal: yes but it isnt open to everyone
Eliza Madrigal: few people have their settings that way
Eliza Madrigal: most select friends to show
Eliza Madrigal: but once they share with you, you can save
    Lucinda Lavender: ok
Eliza Madrigal: technical details take a lot of words to explain but once you know them it is simple
Eliza Madrigal: I remember all the time adams spent with me when I wanted to add picture to the chat logs and was so inept. hah
Santoshima Resident: that has changed, eliza!
Eliza Madrigal: thank you, it has changed a little :))
Eliza Madrigal: still can't build a house :)
Lucinda Lavender: hmmmI sorry to take up so much time with this
    Eliza Madrigal: Hi Susan! :)
Eliza Madrigal: not at all... a picture conveys so much
    Eliza Madrigal: thank you Luci
    Santoshima Resident: greetings Susan

    --BELL--
oO0Oo Resident: [Eliza whips out a sitar? or vena? and starts to play] Question: When one uses a phone or text viewer to come here. How is the landing point determined? Whenever I TP here I always land at the info post, yet when I see others arrive via text viewer for example. The seem to land in the circle here.
    oO0Oo Resident: *they
Eliza Madrigal: interesting question.... I'm guessing that they sign on in the last spot they were in before signing off?
Eliza Madrigal: Is that true for you Susan?
Lucinda Lavender: good question...I also always land somewhere else and have to tp....I think there is aplace to choose this...
Eliza Madrigal: When Eden would come from India she arrived in the circle too... hm... even made a special chair for her spot somehow... think Storm did that
    iwandertoo Resident: last spot
Eliza Madrigal: ah okay, thanks Susan
Eliza Madrigal: so that's one way
iwandertoo Resident: I think u can select home or last position
iwandertoo Resident: and teleport is available
Lucinda Lavender: where is this selection made ?
Eliza Madrigal: even when signing in from a phone?
    iwandertoo Resident: inot sure
Eliza Madrigal: on the regular page there is a drop down menu (for regular sign on)
iwandertoo Resident: will need to look later
    Eliza Madrigal: thanks
iwandertoo Resident: u can tp tho
    oO0Oo Resident: Thanks everyone!
    Eliza Madrigal: hmm
    iwandertoo Resident: nods to eliza
Lucinda Lavender: found it...in Preferences under General
oO0Oo Resident: Nice music too ::listens::
Eliza Madrigal: it is a good question because we could set up spots for our phone particpants
Eliza Madrigal: which would be as natural seeming, etc
    Lucinda Lavender: for entering yes...
iwandertoo Resident: yes...so odd things don't happen
    Eliza Madrigal nods
Eliza Madrigal: it will be more and more common I'm sure
iwandertoo Resident: like landing far away midway in the discussion
    Eliza Madrigal: ohhhh, nods
    oO0Oo Resident: good idea
Eliza Madrigal: more and more people use different devices rather than laptops, etc
Eliza Madrigal: (isn't amazing how my fingers move so fast while I also type)
    oO0Oo Resident: hehehhee yes
    Lucinda Lavender: :))
Eliza Madrigal: Oh Santo, sometimes people levitate on the cushions if they change spots... but I'm not sure what happened with Sam before
    Eliza Madrigal: hah
    Santoshima Resident: weird ... levitated
    Santoshima Resident: ty
    Eliza Madrigal: strange!
Eliza Madrigal: must be the balloon then?
