Raffila Millgrove: yeah well I do it like a robot. mentally thinking on something else and the robot does the "work" that I don't much care for.

oO0Oo Resident: Thinking of how relative such things can be. It could be that after a period in an activity deprived place (solitary confinement?), one might find certain "mundane tasks" really a vibrant joy.

stevenaia Michinaga: that too, acceptance is usually painless if you yourself accept
Paradise Tennant: or the mental grumbling that goes with doing something you don't like
Raffila Millgrove: i don't mentally grumble on anything anymore. it sucks up time/energy. my goal. get it done and over so you can do something you like.
stevenaia Michinaga: it usually makes whatever you "dislike" last even longer

Raffila Millgrove: in my house. we have to do chores we don't care for. we turn on music and go faster with music.. and talk about something good we're going to do next.
oO0Oo Resident: wondering about nuances of wholeheartedness
Paradise Tennant: find chores happier and easier to do in the morning if I have to do them late in the day they are harder
Raffila Millgrove: I feel that quote was about.. finding life work. finding your passion.. so you can then commit whole heartedly. so many people do work they aren't happy in it.

Raffila Millgrove: where's the joy to be found. the heart to be happy/committed to a job you "have to do".. I am speaking career.
stevenaia Michinaga: sometimes I get regretfully cranky late in the day

Raffila Millgrove: Para. seriously.. look how it says "discover your work". I cannot imagine ironing or washing dishes a "discovery". you know?

Paradise Tennant: well it would require a very open mind to be sure
Raffila Millgrove: that really is what faces you when you are young. to figure that out--what do I want to do?

stevenaia Michinaga: for example, few people believe they are assholes, yet I know many

Raffila Millgrove: mia. I look at what is a "fake" self? I mean who is a fakey self? most of us.. we are just ourselves.. "true" doesn't cut it for me.

oO0Oo Resident: When you take a long, long bath.. and your body gets all sort of pruney.. and you are really, really relaxed.. and you let the water out of the bath and feel your body gently become held down by gravity.. slowly, slowly.. and your mind is so relaxed it has nothing particular to focus on.. then.. maybe .. there is a glimpse of "true self".. lol
