    Korel Laloix: Heya
    Xirana Oximoxi: hello Korel! Osiyo!
    Korel Laloix smiles
Korel Laloix: What you up to today?
Xirana Oximoxi: I was trying to put order in my inventory:)...
Xirana Oximoxi: how are you? do you feel better? recovered?
Korel Laloix: I just keep being stupid and doing to much.
Korel Laloix: Way over did things yesterday.. so had to take some more meds last night.
Korel Laloix: I try to keep my inventory under 333... but it is a bit fat at the moment.
Korel Laloix: That is how I keep mine in order... smiles
Xirana Oximoxi: ooops! ... must be careful:)
Xirana Oximoxi: yes I know...I have a lot of things... I have to put at least half of it to trash
    Xirana Oximoxi: nice dress:)
Korel Laloix: I have been hiting a few lucky chairs recently so I am accumulating some very silly stuff.
    Xirana Oximoxi: hehe
Korel Laloix: I can't stand the ruffels.
Korel Laloix: The rest of it is nice though.
Xirana Oximoxi: hello San! nice to see you! :-)
    Korel Laloix: Heya
    Santoshima Resident: hey, hello ~
    Santoshima Resident: nice dress, korel
    Korel Laloix smiles
Xirana Oximoxi: yes... a lot of dresses here have a lot of 'ruffles' for my taste too:)
Korel Laloix: Seeing what parts of it I want to scavange.
    Santoshima Resident: necessary
Korel Laloix: The only dresses I own in RL are my bridesmaid outfits that I never where.
    Korel Laloix: wear
Korel Laloix: But I just can't get rid of them.
    Xirana Oximoxi: :)
Santoshima Resident: maybe they can be re-purposed ?
    Santoshima Resident: pillows?
    Santoshima Resident: tea cozies?
Korel Laloix: I have thought about that... smiles
Korel Laloix: Just more the sentimental value really.
Santoshima Resident: all the more reason to turn them into tablecloths
Korel Laloix: At my size, it would be a small table.
    Santoshima Resident: :)
Xirana Oximoxi: is the Dome full of works of art about Motion?...I have to go to visit again:...
Korel Laloix: I need to think of something to do for that.'
Santoshima Resident: it's good ~ set your sun to midnight
Xirana Oximoxi: have the subject inspired your creativity?
Santoshima Resident: yes, but i am lazy
    Xirana Oximoxi: :)
Xirana Oximoxi: ahhhh lazy:)... I know this feeeling too:)
    Santoshima Resident: it's not unpleasant
    Korel Laloix: brb coffee
    Santoshima Resident: ok
Xirana Oximoxi: I am at the end of my semester, must finish two works and I am sooooooo lazy:)
Xirana Oximoxi: but, of course...I'll have to do:)
    Santoshima Resident: paintings?
Xirana Oximoxi: no, I am studying 'Linguistics' :)
Xirana Oximoxi: Philology... centered in Catalan language
    Santoshima Resident: papers?
    Xirana Oximoxi: Hello Bleu!
    Bleu Oleander: hi everyone :)
Xirana Oximoxi: what do you mean, 'papers'?
    Santoshima Resident: hi bleu
    Santoshima Resident: writing projects
Xirana Oximoxi: well... not yet...I am preparing a last work about two Catalan writers
    Santoshima Resident: i see
    --BELL--
    Korel Laloix: Heya
    Santoshima Resident: wb
    Xirana Oximoxi: wb:)
Santoshima Resident: i am working on clearing out boxes and boxes of archives of a former career ~ that and boxes of accumulates stuff left by a former guest ~ that's the spring project ... that and taxes
    Santoshima Resident: fun!
Bleu Oleander: sounds like that will keep you busy!
    Santoshima Resident: yes
Xirana Oximoxi: yes... we keep all our documents in boxes, and probably we will not look at it again
    Xirana Oximoxi: hi Golden
    Santoshima Resident: exactly
    Santoshima Resident: hello golden
    Golden Aura: Hello San...hello everyone
    Bleu Oleander: hi Golden
Korel Laloix: Just like for SL, I keep the mimimum amount of paperwork.
Xirana Oximoxi: plus now with computers, most documents we can keep in so few 'space' :)
Korel Laloix: I do keep a lot of it scanned in.
Korel Laloix: But I do keep paper copies of school and work records.
Xirana Oximoxi: it was difficult for me to read on the screan at first...but now I'm used to it
Korel Laloix: For school books I like to have the hard copy in my hand.
Korel Laloix: Everything else, digital is just fine.
Xirana Oximoxi: I still prefer to read a paper book...but probably will use a ebook reader soon :)
Korel Laloix: Just so much more convenicent, and cheap long term.
Santoshima Resident: still enjoy text on paper much more
Santoshima Resident: not so sure about the cheaper aspect
Santoshima Resident: although it seems so on the surface
Korel Laloix: After about buying 20 books, it breaks about even last time I did the math.
Korel Laloix: If you gte a cheap one.
Xirana Oximoxi: me too:)...but I recognise it's practic...
    Santoshima Resident: { have felt a flood of gratitude to libraries and librarians over the past while }
Korel Laloix: There is a lot more to it than I thought.
Korel Laloix: Dated a librarian for a while.
    Xirana Oximoxi: :)
    Santoshima Resident: :))****
Korel Laloix: And worked in one for a semester a few years ago.
Santoshima Resident: ... golden left ...?
Korel Laloix: Another one of those under appreciated jobs for sure.
    Korel Laloix: I think so.
Xirana Oximoxi: a friend in SL that's librarian has shared this fun video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T8QjjKrEK7Y
Santoshima Resident: this is looking familiar :) ... is it from vancouver, canada?
Xirana Oximoxi: well... I don't know:) I think there are more than one videos, because another time she gave the link to another much more fun...
Xirana Oximoxi: I can not find now:)
Santoshima Resident: i think it was reworked by librarians across north america :)
Xirana Oximoxi: yes, that can be:)
    Santoshima Resident: it's rather upbeat!
Xirana Oximoxi: I'm sure librarians are needed and won't desapear
Xirana Oximoxi: they have also modernised...and have digital books and films, and music...
    --BELL--
Xirana Oximoxi: I find interesting how internet has given the possibility to acces to books all over the world
Korel Laloix: The down side, is that now even a really really bad book can find someone to read it.
Xirana Oximoxi: yes... but they are also in the bookshops:)...so, books for all tastes:)

Korel Laloix: So is there a designated topic now for the week?
Santoshima Resident: isn't it the same as for the last few days?
Santoshima Resident: or does it change on saturdays?
Xirana Oximoxi: yes, sorry...the topic for this week is 'transcendence'
    Santoshima Resident: enough said
Korel Laloix: OH yes... I remember that now.
Bleu Oleander: I think it changes at the sunday guardian mtg
Xirana Oximoxi: yes... I think so, they propose new topics then
    Xirana Oximoxi: for 2 weeks
Bleu Oleander: perhaps we've transcended transcendence
    Xirana Oximoxi: :)
Korel Laloix: I never really got the idea down.
Xirana Oximoxi: Zen has given a notecard with some htoughts about this subjects...for exemple he writes: Transcendence has a meaning of going beyond. Going beyond what? Going beyond the ordinary and mundane routine of our lives? Perhaps it is a dream many of us share of finding some kind of enlightenment state, some kind of blissful state where we don’t suffer any more and can deal easily with any problems in life. Our problems wouldn’t then get us down, we would be able to transcend them.
Korel Laloix: Yes... I have that card..
    Xirana Oximoxi: ok:)
Santoshima Resident: thanks for the card
Xirana Oximoxi: do you want it san, it's longer
    Santoshima Resident: ok
Korel Laloix: When it is framed this way, I have the same opinion about transcendance as I do equinimity.
Korel Laloix: And that is it should be avoided.
Xirana Oximoxi: I have not thought about this subject... probably we humans always look for something more to understand the meaning of our lifes...
Korel Laloix: TO me, it is better to life the moment for what it is.. then get over it and use it.
Xirana Oximoxi: trying to fill our ignorance about a lot of things
Korel Laloix: I do not like the concept that you should desensize yourself to the world.
Bleu Oleander: perhaps its just a desire for connectedness with something larger than ourselves?
Korel Laloix: COuld be, but I don't see the need for either/or.
Korel Laloix: YOu can be both.
Santoshima Resident: some would use dthat description, korel, as the definition of "transcendance"
    Bleu Oleander: yes, not either/or
Xirana Oximoxi: I also feel we can be both..connecting with our more close world...and needing to find something more
    Korel Laloix: Agreed.
    --BELL--
Xirana Oximoxi: the need to find something more is also the engige to progress...to go forward
    Xirana Oximoxi: engine
    Korel Laloix: brb....
Korel Laloix: Back in a min.
    Xirana Oximoxi: ok:)
Bleu Oleander: take care .... have to walk the pups :) bye for now
    Santoshima Resident: bye bleu
Xirana Oximoxi: bye bye Bleu! have a nice day!
    Xirana Oximoxi: :)
Xirana Oximoxi: wonderful hair San! :)
Santoshima Resident: trying on faces and hairs
Xirana Oximoxi: have you changed it....ah yes:)
Santoshima Resident: for lack of anything to say about "transcendance"
    Santoshima Resident: :)
    Xirana Oximoxi: :)
Xirana Oximoxi: maybe it's good to prepare some questions about the topic.... to center the discussion, but I have not done
Santoshima Resident: no problem, at all!

Santoshima Resident: will you make another art piece for the dome?

Xirana Oximoxi: if we think about just a word...even if it's not inspiring...maybe we can connect and find a lot to say about:) all words are just simple...it's always us who fill them with content
Santoshima Resident: it's perhaps problematic to have a one word topic

Xirana Oximoxi: I've done one...motion at the first thought I have related to the speed of our world... but it can be understood in other ways:)
Santoshima Resident: yes, i enjoyed seeing
Xirana Oximoxi: I will try to find some more...I like the challenge of the proposals Bleu make to us
Santoshima Resident: yeah ... many varied approaches in the ones currently showing
Xirana Oximoxi: yesterday I was in Barcelona...and I've also felt the 'motion' of a big city... so much people walking quickly in all senses...
Santoshima Resident: that reminds me that i have something that might work for the exhibit
Xirana Oximoxi: I am sure you can do some wonderful work! I loved the piece you prepared long ago, like a book, with
    --BELL--
Xirana Oximoxi: different layers representing moments of pabbers... I don't remember the 'title of the work :)
Santoshima Resident: my goal was to take less than an hour to make something ~ the last piece occupied me for days of a whole week ... trying to get a handle on designing within this sl environment ... the
Xirana Oximoxi: yes! that's what I was going to say... a lot of time to prepare it
Santoshima Resident: yeah ... a lot of time
    Santoshima Resident: it was interesting
Xirana Oximoxi: yes! and it showed your skills in design:)
Xirana Oximoxi: I would like to see it again:))...
Santoshima Resident: i'm more used to 3-d objects as result ... not so much this ephemeral quality in sl
Xirana Oximoxi: you're used to do 3D objects in RL?
Santoshima Resident: tried to record that ... and the passing nature of thought and feeling
    Santoshima Resident: yes, in rl
Santoshima Resident: have made 3-d books :)
    Xirana Oximoxi: oh! interesting:)
Santoshima Resident: also know as: books
    Xirana Oximoxi: known*?
    Xirana Oximoxi: :)
Santoshima Resident: sl is 2-d, but has an implied 3-d quality
Santoshima Resident: and i'm sure others who come to PaB would have more to say about that
Xirana Oximoxi: yes... the perception of the eye is 3D
    Xirana Oximoxi: but limited
    Santoshima Resident: yes
Xirana Oximoxi: well.... what is nice of PaB is that each one has a different voice:)
Santoshima Resident: has to do with motion and proprioception
Xirana Oximoxi: no one can express it for you
Santoshima Resident: we move about in the world
    Santoshima Resident: true
Xirana Oximoxi: the way you can do is only yours:)
Santoshima Resident: very evident in the current exhibit
Xirana Oximoxi: I will go for a moment to visit before going:)
Xirana Oximoxi: do you want to come?
Santoshima Resident: and in howgoing now?
Xirana Oximoxi: we can take the train:)
Santoshima Resident: ok, but i'm slow to walk ... said so to storm the other night, and that has not changed :)
Santoshima Resident: it's a videogame project ... "learn how to walk smoothly in sl"
Xirana Oximoxi: we must wait a minute for next train:)
    Xirana Oximoxi: come:)
