doug Sosa: so i'd like to ask,what is happenn with plans, going back to our last berkeley time and the long
vonversation..

Doug was referring to when we met in RL in the end of July and talked about how to fund Play as Being.

genesis Zhangsun: well we are in the process of scouting and submitting grants

genesis Zhangsun: since we last spoke in berkeley there has been a flurry of activity

genesis Zhangsun: we went for a whole virtual interdisciplinary campus concept
Pema Pera: In the last 24 hours we had three meetings with between 10 to 20 avatars each, in the Kira Cafe
doug Sosa: i keep thinking i'velost continuity but i seem to find he conversations easy to be in,s if i missed little that changes the basic sense..
Pema Pera: all three different: "ask an astronomer", "happy hour", "Japanese evening"
doug Sosa: where in he cafe do you meet? Bar, ..?

doug Sosa: I felt like i was falling of the bar stool, just like real life.

genesis Zhangsun: it seemed natural to go interdisicplinary when the participants in PaB come from such diverse background and this sharing adds so much to the whole
genesis Zhangsun: sharing across faiths, across disciplines
genesis Zhangsun: all with a playful spirit :)

Doug relates a very special kind of sharing with us, one that can only take place in SL.

doug Sosa: wol and i arived at the same point yesterday, quite a dance moving through each oher, new sense of "sharing"

doug Sosa: to me, the little fliratious doings and afraid to be doins are one of the more ineresting parts of SL. Seems it is not spoken of much.
genesis Zhangsun: more than in RL?
doug Sosa: good question. he mysey of eal appeaance and he attractiveness of the avatars makes it more comlex.
doug Sosa: ( i am using a very old keyboard, sory for dropped characters.

genesis Zhangsun: in some ways I find that sexuality is more in your face here then elsewhere and I just enjoy as opposed to being threatned by it as I may be in RL

Pema Pera: That was really something, to hear Riddle talk about his APAPB explorations (the ones that Doug started in August!)

Riddle Sideways: each word held such depth
Riddle Sideways: yet had trouble relating to its neighbor
Riddle Sideways: there was a point when I stopped trying to get ONE resolution
Riddle Sideways: and PLAYED with how many combinations
Riddle Sideways: to seed that the next 15min gong I would see something of APAPB
Riddle Sideways: a gong would go off
Riddle Sideways: and one of the words in a new way would throw itself at me
Riddle Sideways: to be attached by a word or the edge effect of 2 words

genesis Zhangsun: hmmm very meta...Riddle seems to be using the words themselves to describe the effect they have
Pema Pera: letting the words lead him, a beautiful approach -- Doug said something similar, I believe, a while ago, no?

doug Sosa: my projections e just an aspect of being, and that here are more presentions, presences, and apperances than i usually take in. Letting it be open and letting the consequences flow (including from my self) makes like much easier.

doug Sosa: i do remember that in the beginning i did let the rammar and the words difereniate and that was an important phase, looking at he meaning of each.

genesis Zhangsun: what I mean by what I said is that appreciation is about presence and being for me is about presence
Pema Pera: yes, it is all facets of Being . . . .
Pema Pera: of what Being Is
doug Sosa: yet appearance,appreciation and presence are quite different

doug Sosa: like he tao syas "theese two are he same and only separate when put into speech"
doug Sosa: take each word and associateto it, he lines of asociation are different. appreciate is my heart, appeance is he patina,resence is an intentional at..
doug Sosa: at = act.
genesis Zhangsun: yes and ultimately there is no separation between those three
doug Sosa: same nd diffeent: hence deep.
genesis Zhangsun: in appreciating the different manifestations of the appearances I am able to appreciate more/be more present with the wholeness
genesis Zhangsun: to appreciate that I too am an appearance
Pema Pera: and each of us is at the same time an appearance (as what appears as us) and Being (which lets everything appear)
Pema Pera: we can play with shifting identifications, like from hand to handpuppet and back

Fael Illyar: yes, the key is realizing the elephant is a figment of your imagination and is exactly where you expect it to be :P
