That morning at 7 am SLT we had another weekly guardian meeting. I, Pema, was the guardian on call, and posted the log with my comments.

    Pema Pera: Hi Gaya!
    Gaya Ethaniel: _/!\_
Pema Pera: I just saw Wol's email, that she can't take the Tuesday 1 am slot, Gaya
Gaya Ethaniel: No worries I replied saying that I will take both.
Pema Pera: Perhaps you can take the Tuesday 1 am slot, and I can take the Wednesday one?
Pema Pera: Ah, really, are you sure that is okay this week??
    Pema Pera: Hi Doug!
    Gaya Ethaniel smiles. Yes!
Pema Pera: Thank you very much!!!
    doug Sosa: morning ? :)
Pema Pera: Morning here for me, yes :)
Faenik is a hairy black ball with eyes and ears.
    Gaya Ethaniel: np Pema
Pema Pera: It must be rather early for you, Doug, 7 am?
    Pema Pera: Hi Adams!
doug Sosa: well, i was up at 5:30 and the light is fully developed.
    Faenik: could be
Pema Pera wondering at how light develops . . . .
    Gaya Ethaniel: _/!\_

A visitor stops by, from Italy it turned out.

    Pema Pera: hi gia!
Adams Dubrovna: Good morning everyone (afternoon Gaya) :)
    doug Sosa: de-evolve,.. unfolds?
    gianlukino Martian: helo pema
Pema Pera: ah, thanks Doug, I see!
doug Sosa: like out of the envelope?
    Pema Pera: yes, special delivery!
    gianlukino Martian: i am italy
Pema Pera: Hi Gia, feel free to join us
Pema Pera: You are born today, I see!
Pema Pera: If you want to sit down, you can right click on a cushion and choose "sit"
    doug Sosa: bon giorno
Pema Pera: posso parlare l'Italiano un po soltante . . .
    gianlukino Martian: buon giorno
    gianlukino Martian: ok
    gianlukino Martian: di dove sei
    Pema Pera: New York
    doug Sosa: san francisco
    Gaya Ethaniel: UK
    Gaya's translator: Regno Unito
    gianlukino Martian: io napoli
    Adams Dubrovna: US
Pema Pera: ah! I visited Capri recently
Pema Pera: I really enjoyed that
doug Sosa: I have friends who are famers on Capri.. Fun to look up at the tourists.
    gianlukino Martian: ti piace capri
    doug Sosa: "farmers..
Pema Pera: if you right click on a cushion, Gia, you get a pie diagram, and you can then click on "sit"
Pema Pera: mi piace Capri, si :-)
Pema Pera: Adams, I really enjoyed your recent discussion about getting energy out of the 9 sec
    gianlukino Martian: age
Pema Pera: can you say a bit more about how you feel about that now?
Pema Pera: Gia, we have a wiki, http://playasbeing.wik.is/
Pema Pera: and we record our conversations there on a kind of blog
Adams Dubrovna: Well here's hoping it is working this morning. It seems to be
    gianlukino Martian: ok
Pema Pera: is it okay to include your conversation too?
Adams Dubrovna: I started out feeling very sluggish this morning after a good nights sleep
    Pema Pera: Thank you, Gia!
    gianlukino Martian: yes
    Faenik: ah :)
Adams Dubrovna: I am here multitasking away
Pema Pera: so you need the energy :)
Adams Dubrovna: Stopping very 15 minutes

Doug took up Adams' comment about getting energy from the 9 sec, with an new twist.

doug Sosa: i get energy from the 9 sec because..
doug Sosa: i notice that it takes eergy to stay focused
doug Sosa: and to block out much.
    doug Sosa: inthe 9 sec
    Pema Pera: interesting, Doug!
doug Sosa: there is a release of that tension,
Adams Dubrovna: I haven't analyzed where it is coming from
Pema Pera: Yes, relaxing releases energy . . .
    Adams Dubrovna: Just observing it
doug Sosa: and the released focus muscles (I don't know what else to call them)
doug Sosa: are then free and flow, meeting the new openness
doug Sosa: with a dancers embrace.
    gianlukino Martian: anni
Adams Dubrovna: nicely put Doug :)
    Pema Pera: yes indeed
    doug Sosa: blush
Pema Pera: Adams, I also enjoyed what you said, when was it, a couple days ago in a chat log: living a better life is not a question of deciding to live a
better life, but instead more a matter of stopping and seeing
Adams Dubrovna: It is one of the side effects of the gradual awareness of my body's calling for attention from the wakefulness period
Pema Pera: a very nice side effect, it seems!
Pema Pera: Not deciding, but seeing -- does that feel connected with "not-doing" (wu-wei) ?
Pema Pera: actions being led naturally by seeing what is?
    Faenik: なるほど^^
    Adams Dubrovna: Yes

Another newly born avatar stopped by, but didn't stay long . . .

    Pema Pera: Hi Xxx!
    Xxx Yyy: hi
    Gaya Ethaniel: Hi Xxx
Pema Pera: come join us if you like
Pema Pera: born today, I see!
Pema Pera: We gather here a few times a day, http://playasbeing.wik.is/ is our wiki
    Xxx Yyy: bla
Pema Pera: and we talk about the nature of reality, and other topics :-)
    Gaya Ethaniel: _/!\_
Xxx Yyy: oh man this is so boring!
    Gaya Ethaniel snickers
    Adams Dubrovna: LOL

    . . . Can't please everybody, it seems!

    Susi Alcott: _/!\_
    Pema Pera: Hi Susi!
Pema Pera: Nice to meet you here, after reading about you in the blog!
    Susi Alcott: hi Pema
    Faenik loves wells!
    Susi Alcott: ty
Pema Pera: Have you met everybody else here yet?
    doug Sosa: no, hi susi
Adams Dubrovna: Nice to meet you Susi
    Susi Alcott: hi doug, Adams
    Susi Alcott: ty Adams
    Susi Alcott: hi gaya
    Susi Alcott: how r U ?
Gaya Ethaniel waves cheerily at Susi. I'm well, thank you. ^^ Yourself?
    Susi Alcott: I'm fine ty
Pema Pera: We were just talking about something Adams said recently
Pema Pera: a couple days ago:
    Fael Illyar: Hello everyone :)
    Susi Alcott: hi fael
Pema Pera: living a better life is not a question of deciding to live a better life, but instead more a matter of stopping and seeing
    Gaya Ethaniel: _/!\_
    Pema Pera: Hi Fael!
Pema Pera: (Fael, that was a quote by Adams, for Susi :-)
    Adams Dubrovna: Hello fael :)
Pema Pera: (by me, from Adams, for Susi, I mean :)
Susi Alcott: well; to me that is to live better life
Gaya Ethaniel finds the quote very insightful
    Faenik: なるほど^^
    Pema Pera: yes, indeed!
Susi Alcott: sure all the ppl has not opportunity to do that so much
Gaya Ethaniel nods at Faenik. Yes full of insights ^^
Pema Pera: It is hard to explain . . . .
Fael Illyar: it's good to express that way. It won't mislead so much if you say it that way.
Pema Pera: . . . . but easy to recognize once you do it
    Faenik: why not?
Pema Pera: The whole of PaB could be seen as a trick to just do it :-)
Susi Alcott: and even if that is only a dream
    Gaya Ethaniel smiles
    Adams Dubrovna gasps "a trick?"
Pema Pera: "skillful means" if you like :)
Fael Illyar: Adams, trick or a tool ... in this case.
    Pema Pera doesn't like heavy terminology . . .

    From tricks to untricks.

doug Sosa: a trick to get rid of the tricks that trip us up
    Pema Pera: :)
    Pema Pera: well put, Doug!!
    Adams Dubrovna: :)
    Gaya Ethaniel: ^__^ tricksy
Pema Pera: Only a dream, Susi?
doug Sosa: an untrick, the only untrick.
Pema Pera: untrick, I like that!
Pema Pera: untrick or untreat . . .
    Pema Pera: wu-wei
Susi Alcott: just happen to know many ppl who's got the to be the dream
    doug Sosa: wei wu wei
    Pema Pera: yes
Pema Pera: could you say more, Susi?
Susi Alcott: pls give me some question
Pema Pera: about the dream, do you see life as a dream in some way?
    Susi Alcott: ah; no
Pema Pera: (sorry, that's a complex question too -- I could say yes and no, in various ways :-)
Pema Pera: didn't mean to put you on the spot, just was curious what you meant, while mentioning the idea of a dream
Susi Alcott: but ---as I cannot brake my oath ---can speak only generally
Susi Alcott: can so far only repeat what I said that I know many ppl who's got the possibility to be a dream
Susi Alcott: there will, but not found change to make it to come true
Pema Pera: may I ask, are you practicing a form of Buddhism? You meantioned an oath.
Susi Alcott: I am in buddhism and I an the spritual guide and the healer
Susi Alcott: but I understand that also buddhism is the guidence
Susi Alcott: not god or any law
Susi Alcott: we met once before here
Susi Alcott: I had not then yet found 'my own' in SL
    Susi Alcott: now I have
Pema Pera: yes, indeed, we here respect Buddhism very much, but our approach is independent of any particular approach or group.
Faenik is a hairy black ball with eyes and ears.
Pema Pera: Ah, can you remind me when we met?
Susi Alcott: sry there is not time within me so clearly
Susi Alcott: as time is creation of phenomenas
Susi Alcott: I looked more like a gentelman and did not want my name to be published
Susi Alcott: I did carry the 'title' 'free tinker'
Pema Pera: Ah, I see. Sorry, I don't remember, but as you say, that is not important.
    Susi Alcott: true
Pema Pera: We are all free thinkers here in some way or other, I think
Susi Alcott: today is the most important
Pema Pera: Today is the first day of the rest of your life

This was the text on a poster that I bought when I was in high school; I still have the poster, and it still applies to each new day.

    Gaya Ethaniel nods... and ponders
    Susi Alcott: _/!\_
Pema Pera: Are you interested in dzogchen, too?
Pema Pera: (I saw that listed in your profile)
Susi Alcott: I am interested of all possible
Susi Alcott: thankfully learning is right to all and forewer
    Pema Pera: _/!\_
Susi Alcott: I'm sory I must log out my Av again
Pema Pera: nice meeting you, Susi!
    Gaya Ethaniel: _/!\_
Susi Alcott: was nice to met
Adams Dubrovna: Nice to meet you. Bye :)
    Susi Alcott: _/!\_
Fael Illyar: See you later, Susi :)
Fael Illyar blinks 'where did the conversation go?'
    Pema Pera: Hi Mary!
    Gaya Ethaniel smiles
    Faenik loves wells!
Pema Pera: with Susi, it seems . . . .
Pema Pera: And Mary went, too
Pema Pera: Interesting, to be so near the Welcome Center
Pema Pera: boring as we may be!
    Adams Dubrovna: :)
Fael Illyar: well, Mary wasn't there anymore when I checked my scanner :)
Pema Pera: disappeared just while I was typing
Pema Pera: (according to my scanner :)
Adams Dubrovna: We had a good bit of traffic Sunday morning
Fael Illyar: yes, mad traffic on the weekend, generally.
Pema Pera: they seem to come in bursts, probably following each other, like migrating birds
Fael Illyar: looking at SL statistical graphs, the signup rate has been 4-5 times normal for a few days
    Adams Dubrovna: wow
Pema Pera contemplating how odd it must be to stumble upon a PaB session as your very first impression of SL . . . . .
    Gaya Ethaniel: ^^
Pema Pera: wow, wonder why that is, Fael!
Pema Pera: a major newspaper article??
Fael Illyar: and my contact from Mentor group told me they're mostly Spanish or Portuquese
Pema Pera: in Latin America perhaps?
Adams Dubrovna: Yes, Pema. I wonder what i would have thought
    Pema Pera: hehehe
Adams Dubrovna: It is amazing how many stay and chat for awhile
    Pema Pera: yes
Fael Illyar: yes, quite a few stayed and chatted.
    Gaya Ethaniel nods
Pema Pera: we're quite friendly and pretty harmless :-)
Adams Dubrovna thinks warily of the tricks
Gaya Ethaniel: pretty & harmless ^^
Pema Pera: haha, what do you think about them, Adams?
    Adams Dubrovna: yes Gaya :)
    Pema Pera: :)
    Adams Dubrovna: just joking
    Pema Pera: harmlessly pretty
    Gaya Ethaniel: ^^
    Pema Pera: I liked Doug's untrick . . . .
    Adams Dubrovna: yes
Gaya Ethaniel: Seems that you've been collecting some amazing 'tricks' then Adams based on reading your recent logs
    Adams Dubrovna: tricking myself sometimes
Pema Pera: maybe the tricks are collecting Adams!
    Gaya Ethaniel smiles
    Adams Dubrovna: :)
    Pema Pera: and Z-self and **** and . . .

    From tricks to asterisks.

Fael Illyar: one arterisk too much :P
    Fael Illyar: uh, asterisk
Pema Pera: hahaha, I'm stretching the truth, Fael
Adams Dubrovna: Hope the asterik is not an "e"
    Pema Pera: ?
Pema Pera thinking about Asterix and Obelix
Adams Dubrovna: (Inside joke on my name)
    Pema Pera still pondering Adam's insider jokes . . . .
    Fael Illyar smiles.
    Adams Dubrovna: the last asterik
Fael Illyar: take his name, and put 'e' after it
    Pema Pera: AH!
Pema Pera: that took a while . . . . never been very good at puzzles like that
Pema Pera: well, as for puzzles: I'm done for the day :-)
Gaya Ethaniel: Have a good day Pema
Adams Dubrovna: PaB has been a bit of a puzzle for me sometimes :)
    Adams Dubrovna: bye Pema :)
    Faenik loves wells!
Pema Pera: no, Gaya, I meant as ****
Fael Illyar: See you later, Pema :)
    Pema Pera: nono
    Gaya Ethaniel: ooops
Pema Pera: I wanted to show off that I got the **** finally!
Pema Pera: with the e at the end (or not)
Gaya Ethaniel: I haven't... someone IM me please
    Gaya Ethaniel: Got it ^^
    Adams Dubrovna: :)
Gaya Ethaniel wonders... would *** be ***e?
    Pema Pera pondering again . . . .
Adams Dubrovna ponders what is coming out of the sewer pipes
    Pema Pera: !
Fael Illyar: better not I'd think.
Pema Pera: Maybe I'm ***e after all for the day now .. . . .
    Gaya Ethaniel nods
Fael Illyar: Ok, see you later Pema :)
    Adams Dubrovna: bye Pema :)
    Faenik: could be
Pema Pera: See you all soon again!
Gaya Ethaniel: Have a great day everyone ^^
    Adams Dubrovna: bye everyone :)
