The Guardian for this meeting was Fael Illyar. The Comments are by Fael.

I waited at the Playgoda for around 15 minutes and then Crusty arrived, followed shortly by Moon. I gave Crusty a short introduction. His profile suggested Buddhist background so I gave him introduction comparing PaB to meditation.

    Fael Illyar: Hello Crusty :)
    Crusty Goldshark: hi
Fael Illyar: It seems you're new. How are yo finding Second Life?
Crusty Goldshark: what is this place?
Fael Illyar: This is the meeting place for my group, Play as Being.
Crusty Goldshark: My thirdvisit - it is fun

    Moon appears.

    Fael Illyar: Hi Moon :)
    Crusty Goldshark: Play as Being?
Fael Illyar: We meet here 4 times a day to discuss a new sort of meditation. Stop for 9 seconds every 15 minutes.
Fael Illyar: It's named Play as Being
Fael Illyar: although, the topics range all over the place sometimes :)
Crusty Goldshark: Oh I meditate - just sit
    Moon Fargis: ahh thats good!
    Moon Fargis: zen then
    Fael Illyar: Yes, that's Moon's style :)
    Crusty Goldshark: no name
    Crusty Goldshark: just sit
Moon Fargis: where do you sit?
Fael Illyar: just sit, empty your mind, drop everything ... would sound like Zen, yes :)
Crusty Goldshark: so this is llike a memory bell?
Crusty Goldshark: on my bum (ass)
    Crusty Goldshark: sorry
    Moon Fargis: ^^ really?
Fael Illyar: Some of us have bells ringing every 15 minutes to remind us to take a 9 second pause :)
Crusty Goldshark: Oh I see - tich nat han (can never spell that) suggested a memory belll
Fael Illyar: Ah, right, almost forgot. This is one of our daily meetings and we record these and post them on our wiki. Can I have your permision to include your lines there?
Fael Illyar: (along with your SL name)
Crusty Goldshark: Anyway this place is cool so I will make it my default home
    Fael Illyar smiles.
    Moon Fargis: ^^^
    Moon Fargis: hmm
Crusty Goldshark: Yes you can record my words of wisdom - but I do not intend to say any . . .
Fael Illyar: You might be surprised sometimes ... although, was that a yes or no?
Crusty Goldshark: yes no - you choose
    Moon Fargis: i chosse "-"
    Crusty Goldshark: fine with me
Fael Illyar: Ok, thank you :)

I was allowed to choose, so I chose yes :P

    Fael Illyar: Have a seat?
Crusty Goldshark: thank you I am new and have only just learnt to sit
    Moon Fargis: just sit :)
    Fael Illyar smiles.
Moon Fargis: right click on one pillow and then press sit
    Fael Illyar sometimes just sits.
Fael Illyar: We have a bell here at this meeting place that rings every 15 minutes.
Crusty Goldshark: Now we are cooking - well sitting

Crusty Goldshark: Nice to meet you
Fael Illyar: Nice to meet you too :)
Crusty Goldshark: What are you Fael?
Fael Illyar: Well, all I know is that ... I am :)
Crusty Goldshark: I am not even convinced I exists
Fael Illyar: well, yes, that's debatable but it would look weird to say "all I know is that ... am"
Crusty Goldshark: You could say YAM
Crusty Goldshark: WhichIbelieve is a mantra
Moon Fargis: hmm YAM is a name of a program i use.. "Yet Another Mailer"
    Crusty Goldshark: must behave

Crusty did something a bit playful and then chided himself.

    Crusty Goldshark: I use gmail
Fael Illyar: We're quite freeform group :)
Fael Illyar: sometimes we just goof around for a whole meeting :)
    Moon Fargis: exactly
Crusty Goldshark: Goofing is my favourite meditation
Moon Fargis: i see we will be good friends :)
Fael Illyar smiles 'Yes, it's kind of similar.'
Crusty Goldshark: In fact in Yinyana Buddhism it is almost compulsory
    Crusty Goldshark: That was nice
Moon Fargis: thats good :) in zen there is also such callled "zen humor"
Fael Illyar smiles 'Thank you, I made it myself some time ago.'
Crusty Goldshark: Oh You program Fael
    Crusty Goldshark: ?
    Fael Illyar: Yes :)
Crusty Goldshark: Zen humour - the buddha started it - he always makes me laff
    Moon Fargis: ;)
    Fael Illyar smiles.
Crusty Goldshark: Thanks for the invite Moon - how soon before I am enlightened?
Moon Fargis: not how soon but maybe how long you realize you are :)
Fael Illyar: The moment you think you are, the moment you're not :)
Crusty Goldshark: Oh goody - is it reversible then?
    Fael Illyar: Of course :)
    Moon Fargis: well mostly healable
Moon Fargis: some empty mind often stays
Crusty Goldshark: Good news - me thinking I might have to enlighten every blade of grass - never be done

Is it just me or doesn't this sound a bit like the opposite of being enlightened?

Fael Illyar: it's relaxing, less things you _have_ to do :)
Crusty Goldshark: These cushions are excellent
Fael Illyar: (doesn't mean you don't do them, necessarily)
Fael Illyar: Yes, very good cushions :)
Crusty Goldshark: I particularly like the x - just so you know where to target yourself
Crusty Goldshark: So Moon any ZZen jokes?
    Moon Fargis: yep
Moon Fargis: i got a favorite i always tell first :)
Moon Fargis: hmm i should write it down
Moon Fargis: alot of typing work
Crusty Goldshark: Do you know the storyabout the tantrist lama the zen monk and the ornage?
Moon Fargis: hmm nope please tell
Crusty Goldshark: well I will do a search - bear with me
Fael Illyar: nope, no so easy to find from the web
Moon Fargis: ah well lets see, i saved my favorite zen joke already

We get around to sharing jokes.

Moon Fargis: A scientist, a Christ and a Buddhist standing on a meadow infront of a Apple tree,
as a wind came up a Apple felt down.
"AHH" The scientist says "Look! Gravitiy!"
"NO Look!" The Christ says "God gave us Food with this nice Apple!"
The buddhist turns to them both and says "What apple?"
Fael Illyar: The Emperor asked Master Gudo, "What happens to a man of enlightenment after death?"

"How should I know?" replied Gudo.

"Because you're a master," answered the Emperor.

"Yes sir," said Gudo, "but not a dead one."
    Moon Fargis: hehe
Fael Illyar: not a joke but funny anyway :)
    Crusty Goldshark: how do I post text or a URl? m m m . . .
    Crusty Goldshark: made me laugh
    Fael Illyar: just copy&paste :)
    Crusty Goldshark: http://www.serve.com/cmtan/buddhism/...womasters.html
    Crusty Goldshark: Myfav story
    Crusty Goldshark: I hear bells
Crusty Goldshark: must be time to meditate
    Moon Fargis: just 9 secs
Crusty Goldshark: luckily I have finished for this life
Moon Fargis: as you heard the bell its was already over:)
    Moon Fargis: your meditation ?
    Crusty Goldshark: Wot meditation?
Crusty Goldshark: I am sure there is no such thing
Crusty Goldshark: When do we sit again fael?
    Fael Illyar: It's a 9 second meditation :)
Fael Illyar: over before anyone answers :)
    Crusty Goldshark: Seems excessive
Crusty Goldshark: In the early days of my interest in Buddhism and psychology,I was given a particularly vivid demonstation of how difficult it was going to be to forge an integration between the two. Some friends of mine had arranged for an encounter between two prominent visiting Buddhist teachers at the house of a Harvard University psychology professor. These were teachers from two distinctly different Buddhist traditions who had never met and whose traditions had in fact had very little contact over the past thousand years. Before the worlds of Buddhism and Western psychology could come together, the various strands of Buddhism would have to encounter one another. We were to witness the first such dialogue.

The teachers, seventy-year-old Kalu Rinpoche of Tibet, a veteran of years of solitary retreat, and the Zen master Seung Sahn, the first Korean Zen master to teach in the United States, were to test each other's understanding of the Buddha's teachings for the benefit of the onlooking Western students. This was
Fael Illyar: there's a limit on the length of text you can say on one line :)
Crusty Goldshark: Time for me to fly - CU you guys - be kind to the fish
