    Gaya Ethaniel: Hello sophia :)
    sophia Placebo: morning gaya
    Gaya Ethaniel: How are you?
sophia Placebo: fine how about you ?
    Gaya Ethaniel: Hello Visitor :)
Gaya Ethaniel: I'm good too thanks.
    sophia Placebo: hello Visitor

A visitor and SophiaSharon join us.

    Gaya Ethaniel: Hello SophiaSharon :)
    sophia Placebo: hi sophia :)
Gaya Ethaniel: Visitor, welcome to PlayasBeing discussion. Have you been here before?
SophiaSharon Larnia: Hi Gaya, Hi Sophia :))
    SophiaSharon Larnia: HI Visitor
SophiaSharon Larnia: Wow Sophia that is lovely :))
    sophia Placebo: thank you ^^
Gaya Ethaniel: You can right click and sit on a cushion if you'd like Visitor.
Gaya Ethaniel: Yes a lovely flower :)
Gaya Ethaniel: How are you SophiaSharon?
SophiaSharon Larnia: very good thanks, holiday weekend in the usa, I am stuffed :)
    SophiaSharon Larnia: you??
Gaya Ethaniel: It's a bank holiday weekend in UK as well so having a good time :)
SophiaSharon Larnia: what is a bank holiday?
Gaya Ethaniel: It's a name handed down from long time ago, means public holidays when banks used to be closed.
    SophiaSharon Larnia: ok
Gaya Ethaniel: What US holiday is it?
    SophiaSharon Larnia: memorial day
    SophiaSharon Larnia: weekend rather
SophiaSharon Larnia: technically when the ocean 'opens' which I always find odd
Gaya Ethaniel: Memorial day when the ocean opens?
SophiaSharon Larnia: like it was closed or something
    Gaya Ethaniel googles ...
    SophiaSharon Larnia: ocean
SophiaSharon Larnia: the beginning of summer season
SophiaSharon Larnia: that not what the holiday is but it ties into other things as well
    Gaya Ethaniel: ah :)
Gaya Ethaniel: We had a wonderful weather yesterday, felt like summer too.
SophiaSharon Larnia: yes it’s been in the 80's here, and it thunderstormed tonight
SophiaSharon Larnia: I love that, just worry about losing power
    Gaya Ethaniel: ah ... ok

SophiaSharon tells us about her dreams.

SophiaSharon Larnia: do you have a topic in mind for this session?
Gaya Ethaniel: No :) Anything you'd like to suggest?
SophiaSharon Larnia: I’ve been having a lot of dreams
    Gaya Ethaniel listens.
    sophia Placebo: listens
SophiaSharon Larnia: the meanings of the dreams don’t matter so much to me now as what they remind me of
SophiaSharon Larnia: ive been 'obsessed' i guess you could say, about non-duality
Gaya Ethaniel: mm ... when did this start? [being obsessed]
SophiaSharon Larnia: if it can be said that to view what I see, duality, as a dream, then can this dream be influenced, like a lucid dream can
SophiaSharon Larnia: oh I don’t know, Gaya, it has come and gone for a long time
    Gaya Ethaniel: ah ok
SophiaSharon Larnia: there is more but i talk to much :))
Gaya Ethaniel: I'm curious about the actual dream now :)
sophia Placebo: I’m waiting for the more :)

Pema joins us. It’s nice when he can make 1 am sessions :) We had another visitor – another Dutch - but she had to leave soon after.

    Gaya Ethaniel: Hello Pema :)
SophiaSharon Larnia: they are dreams like I am living my life, like having conversations with people etc, and then have to think if i actually did these things, when I’m awake
    sophia Placebo: hi pema
    SophiaSharon Larnia: Hi Pema!
Gaya Ethaniel: So you are asking if you are dreaming while dreaming?
Pema Pera: Hi Gaya, Sophia and Sophia!
SophiaSharon Larnia: well, I’m not sure what you mean
Gaya Ethaniel: ah ok I misunderstood ... you asked when you are awake.
sophia Placebo: do you mean that dreams gives you new insight to your attitude with people?
SophiaSharon Larnia: a common thread is that to view duality as a sort of dream, or falsity that we tell our egos
Gaya Ethaniel: Hello Another Visitor :)
    sophia Placebo: hi Another Visitor
    SophiaSharon Larnia: Hi Another Visitor
    Pema Pera: Hi Another Visitor!
SophiaSharon Larnia: sometimes Sophia, but being the sort of person I am, I can’t ask them when i have seen in it, it is just impressions
Pema Pera: Dag Another Visitor, kom er bij zitten als je wilt
Gaya Ethaniel: Another Visitor said she had to get back to RL.
SophiaSharon Larnia: and also, why does the one need to be the many
Pema Pera: ah, okay; I just saw that she was Dutch, so I invited her in Dutch :-)
    SophiaSharon Larnia: to play?
    Gaya Ethaniel: ah :)
SophiaSharon Larnia: How does it go with you Pema??
Pema Pera: oh, I'm fine, a bit busy
Pema Pera: In a few days I'll be leaving Tokyo
Pema Pera: for a three-week visit to Europe
Pema Pera: so I'm tying up loose ends now
Gaya Ethaniel: Sounds busy :) Where about in Europe you're visiting Pema?
Pema Pera: a week France, a week Germany, and a week Holland :-)
    Gaya Ethaniel: :)
Gaya Ethaniel: [1:29] SophiaSharon Larnia: and also, why does the one need to be the many - I don't understand this bit SophiaSharon [catching up now]
SophiaSharon Larnia: if duality is a dream that we operate under, then why is this
SophiaSharon Larnia: i dont think i can ever answer this and i get discouraged
Gaya Ethaniel: Perhaps the point is the asking bit ...?
    SophiaSharon Larnia: perhaps
sophia Placebo: by duality you mean?
SophiaSharon Larnia: the stops actually brought this question on again, at first i hear One One One with the stops, then people here reminded me it was One Many, and I was brought to the question again
Pema Pera: Perhaps I missed an earlier part, but I am not sure what you mean about One and Many?
SophiaSharon Larnia: I’m sorry I babble.... one as in 'being', and many as in each individual egos (humans)
Pema Pera: ah, yes, I see
Pema Pera: what is interesting about Being is that it may seem at first like One
Pema Pera: but in fact, Being is beyond the distinction between One and Many
Pema Pera: like it is beyond any pair of dualities
    SophiaSharon Larnia: yes
Pema Pera: So Being is not something that is outside of our world of Many, not a single source from which everything flows forth . . . .
Pema Pera: . . . though it may at first perhaps help to think about it that way, that kind of picture can then become a trap
Pema Pera: But perhaps this is not related to what you mentioned -- you talked about your experience during the 9-sec breaks?
SophiaSharon Larnia: yes it is exactly related to what I was thinking
SophiaSharon Larnia: yes, at first I hear in my mind 'one one one' I don’t know why
    SophiaSharon Larnia: like a gong
SophiaSharon Larnia: until it became unbearable
SophiaSharon Larnia: talked about it, and was reminded it was not one but many, I did misunderstand
    SophiaSharon Larnia: misunderstand*
Gaya Ethaniel: Sorry I'm just listening here SophiaSharon.
SophiaSharon Larnia: im babbling talk too much
Gaya Ethaniel: Not at all, it's interesting, just don't have anything to add :)
Pema Pera: Oh no, Sharon, I think I have a sense of what you mean
Pema Pera: Anything we experience is Being, in fact all of Being, in what it really IS . . . but what that means is not easy to put into words
SophiaSharon Larnia: and your right, it is a trap, I need to think about that some more
Pema Pera: so instead we "play as Being"
Pema Pera: as if we already know what Being is
Pema Pera: and while playing as Being, we find out little by little :-)
Gaya Ethaniel: Pema, how do you 'play'?
Pema Pera: well, at first when I was searching for the truth, I was not very playful :-)
    Gaya Ethaniel: :)
Pema Pera: I was trying to reach and find something, like I guess most of us when we start
Pema Pera: but over the years and decades I have learned more and more that there is nothing to obtain, but that instead the challenge is to celebrate what already IS
Pema Pera: but of course, such a brief sentence can be rather misleading . . . .
    SophiaSharon Larnia: :)
Pema Pera: . . . even so, the bottom line is: we don't lack anything, fundamentally, we already ARE what IS
Pema Pera: but we don't seem to know what that means, so we playfully explore what it means
Pema Pera: and little by little, everything then falls into place
    Pema Pera: that's the basic idea . . . .
Pema Pera: And I'm happy to share this exploration, especially today, with a rabbit and a bright flower :-)

    Play as a flower.jpg

    Gaya Ethaniel: :)
    sophia Placebo: =)
    SophiaSharon Larnia laughs
Pema Pera: play as rabbit, play as flower, all forms of play as Being
SophiaSharon Larnia: bye everyone, have a great day :))
    Pema Pera: Bye Sharon!
    sophia Placebo: bye sophia
Gaya Ethaniel: Have a good day :)
    SophiaSharon Larnia: thank you :))
Pema Pera: I also should be going, dinner time or me here
Gaya Ethaniel: Enjoy your evening Pema :)
    sophia Placebo: bye pema
    Pema Pera: thanks, Gaya!
Pema Pera: See you both soon again!
Gaya Ethaniel: Have a good day sophia. I need to get back to RL too.
    sophia Placebo: bye gaya :)
