Alfred Kelberry: hi, kori :)
Korel Laloix: Heya
Korel Laloix: What you up to today?
Alfred Kelberry: one lonely girl on a cushion :)
Alfred Kelberry: working
Alfred Kelberry: i'll be off in a bit. wanted to say hi :)
Korel Laloix: Actually, been around people way too much this week... so I don't mind.
--BELL--
Korel Laloix: OK.
Alfred Kelberry: ok, enjoy the wonderful company of kori :)
Alfred Kelberry: she's good to be with :)
Korel Laloix: I think so... smiles
Alfred Kelberry: bye for now
Alfred Kelberry: be good :)
Korel Laloix: Ciao
Mickorod Renard: hi Korel
Korel Laloix: Heya.
Korel Laloix: I am still waking up.
Mickorod Renard: is there a guardian meeting today?
Mickorod Renard: wakey wakey rise and shine
Korel Laloix: I am not that awake to know yet... smiles
Mickorod Renard: :)
Korel Laloix: The coffee is not done yet.... frowns.
Mickorod Renard: he he
Korel Laloix: And the aroma is killing me...
Mickorod Renard: mmm nice
Korel Laloix: Three mins I think.
Korel Laloix: And grandma is cooking something that smells lovely.
Mickorod Renard: are you expecting a nice sunny day?
Mickorod Renard: wow, its nice to have a grandma
Mickorod Renard: I never had one
Korel Laloix: Well, me neither by blood.
Mickorod Renard: both mine were dead before i was born
Korel Laloix: She is actually my latest step dad's mother.
Mickorod Renard: thats cool
Korel Laloix: But we get along so well.
Mickorod Renard: fantastic
Korel Laloix: She has four boys and they only had boys... so I am the only girl in her family life... so I think that counts for more than my personality.
Korel Laloix: But we are good match to live together.
Mickorod Renard: I suppose I have one now, my daughter in law has several and i get to call them grandma
Korel Laloix: Nice.
Korel Laloix: Family is a strange concept sometimes.
Mickorod Renard: he he , we both have adopted some nice people
Mickorod Renard: yes, a family is something we can take for granted sometimes
Korel Laloix: Not sure I am there yet.....
Korel Laloix: Grandma is lik the only family I have ever had.
Mickorod Renard: lovely
Korel Laloix: I don't want to take her for granted.. but we do drift that way as humans.
Mickorod Renard: were you adopted?
Korel Laloix: No... I just have no idea who my father is. My half brothers moved out before I could really remember them.... and my mom.... well, I was a completely unwanted child, so she was never really my mom. Just someone I lived with.
Mickorod Renard: my mum (now departed) was adopted before records were kept, so i dont know anyone from her side
Mickorod Renard: I doubt you were unwanted, maybe just a complication she couldnt handle at the time
Korel Laloix: << deleated>>
Mickorod Renard: I am now a granddad myself
Korel Laloix: And she made sure to tell me that on a regular basis.... very disturbed woman.
Korel Laloix: Great for you.....
Mickorod Renard: <<deleated>> ? thats a strong description
Korel Laloix: How old?
Mickorod Renard: me? 56
Korel Laloix: No, your grandchild.
Mickorod Renard: ahh..he he
Mickorod Renard: 2 and a half
Mickorod Renard: she lives with me
Mickorod Renard: and at school I have another thousand,,he he
Korel Laloix: It is accurate though.... <<deleated>>
Korel Laloix: Lovely... must be a handful.
Korel Laloix: I am an aunt now... I do love that.
Mickorod Renard: well, that sounds like a complication rather than something planned
Mickorod Renard: I am glad you have an extended family,,and the fact they look after you means you are a very wanted person
Korel Laloix: I would lke to think so.
Mickorod Renard: :) you can be sure of it,,even if at times it may not feel like it
Korel Laloix: I have done a lot to recreate relationships with my half brothers.
Mickorod Renard: thats beautiful
Korel Laloix: But can't seem to break things down with my mother... but I am trying.
Korel Laloix: I want a mother dauther relationship, but it is so hard.... for both of us I think.
Mickorod Renard: I have found that even though I have given alot of love to my son, that the more you give the more you seem to be taken for granted,,its a funny world
--BELL--
Mickorod Renard: if she is still young then she may need more time yet
Mickorod Renard: age has a strange effect
Korel Laloix: She is not young... I was a late one.
Mickorod Renard: he he ..like me then
Korel Laloix: And she has been batteling lung cancer as well.
Mickorod Renard: thats not good
Korel Laloix: She has about 2/3s of one lung left I think.
Mickorod Renard: but the fact she is battling it is a good sign,,I have lost two close friends to lung cancer and they didnt last many months
Mickorod Renard: I am sure if they catch it early there is a good chance
Korel Laloix: They did... but it has come back.. and she beat that as wel.
Korel Laloix: But still smoking...
Mickorod Renard: :)..I suppose the stress of the illness doesnt contribute to giving up a crutch
Korel Laloix: Her husband finally succeeded in gettingher to quit... but it is being hard for her.
Mickorod Renard: I smoke too, not many but a few cigars
Korel Laloix: It took me about two years to quit fully.
Korel Laloix: But I was really into menthols, so that was the first step.
Mickorod Renard: I seem to find that when i am at a place where i feel i am calm enough to quit,,after about two days mayhem breaks out and i have to have one
Mickorod Renard: I think its my raised stress level that is unable to cope with minor stress when i am not smoking
Korel Laloix: I know that feeling.... for me, when I break up from a relationship is when the tempation is the most strong.
Mickorod Renard: so its more me, and my weakness
Mickorod Renard: yes, I can understand that well
Korel Laloix: I think we use our addictions as a crutch for something personal.
Mickorod Renard: although it looks to me at the time like the world is trying to make my stopping fail
Korel Laloix: Not sure that sentance came out right.
Mickorod Renard: yes it did, and i agree
Korel Laloix: OK.. thanks.
Mickorod Renard: :)
Korel Laloix: Yes, things tend to pile up.
Korel Laloix: There are good things about giving up smoking that I realy did not anticipate though.
Korel Laloix: Food tastes better.
Mickorod Renard: yes?
Mickorod Renard: wow
Korel Laloix: Less dry cleaning.
Mickorod Renard: he he
Mickorod Renard: more spending money
Korel Laloix: Some people won't date smokers.
Mickorod Renard: thats true
Korel Laloix: Lots more cash to spend.
Mickorod Renard: supprising how it tots up,,over a year
Korel Laloix: I was two or more packs a day... not cheap on a college job.
Mickorod Renard: yikes
Korel Laloix: I gained about 5lbs as well.
Korel Laloix: So that was nice.
Mickorod Renard: good for some,,thats not alot
Korel Laloix: When I was at about 73... it was a lot.
Mickorod Renard: he he
Korel Laloix: brb... coffee and a plate.
Mickorod Renard: I have always been pretty fit,,but with age I need to aid my fitness as much as posible,,so i would like to oxegenate my kungs more
Mickorod Renard: ok
Mickorod Renard: scuse spelling
Korel Laloix: Yes.. it also cut several minutes off of my 8 miles.
Mickorod Renard: wow, do you run or cycle?
--BELL--
Korel Laloix: I run way too much.
Mickorod Renard: can you run too much?
Korel Laloix: I am down to just one addiction... running.
Mickorod Renard: he he
Korel Laloix: Well, my doctore wants me to cut down....
Mickorod Renard: I can tell you, from my end of the age cycle,,that you do need to preserve some parts of the body for later
Mickorod Renard: grin
Mickorod Renard: I wonder how long my joints will last out
Mickorod Renard: I think cycling is a better long term option
Korel Laloix: Probably... but I can't get the endophine rush out of cycling.
Mickorod Renard: although these days new joints do not seem to be an issue
Korel Laloix: Yes... some do very well... have done some research on that.
Mickorod Renard: he he ,,I find that many years of motorbiking has tended to leave me somewhat subdued when it comes to adren rush in other things that excite people
Mickorod Renard: as you well know
Mickorod Renard: as u r a biker too
Korel Laloix: I know the feeling... I have a bad tendancy to go waaay too fast.
Mickorod Renard: he he
Korel Laloix: Yes... I have a Ninja 650R...
Korel Laloix: But... I am trying to sell it... I am going to end up dead on the thing.
Mickorod Renard: we are both ninjas then
Mickorod Renard: I have the 900
Korel Laloix: My bike is dealer lowered, but I am still on tiptoes on the it.
Korel Laloix: Nice.
Korel Laloix: And with my weight, it can go very fast... but I don't hve the mass to keep it down... frowns.
Korel Laloix: So looking for something that can be lowered more with less power.
Mickorod Renard: mine is quite tall too, the 900 is known as a bit extra on the leg length which is good for longer rides
Mickorod Renard: less cramps
Korel Laloix: I am 4'9, so I have the oposite issue.
Mickorod Renard: yea
Korel Laloix: HD is making some low bikes now, but I don't want that style.
Mickorod Renard: I am not huge but 5'11 if I stand up straight
Korel Laloix: I more like sportbikes... and the position is better for my back.
Korel Laloix: Just 14 inches taller than me.... lol
Mickorod Renard: what about the italian stuff?
Korel Laloix: I dated a basketball player for a bit... that was fun.
Mickorod Renard: monster?
Mickorod Renard: he he
Korel Laloix: Not on a student budget.
Korel Laloix: I am looking at some options to keep the bike though.
Mickorod Renard: many women bikers here use diversions, yamaha
Korel Laloix: Talked to the dealer ther other day... thye are looking for more ways to lower it.
Mickorod Renard: mmm
Korel Laloix: And thinknig about how they could attache some weight up front to keep it down.
Korel Laloix: I think I looked at that.
Mickorod Renard: a classic would be nice but they hold their prices
Korel Laloix: I need cheap and reliable.
Mickorod Renard: like an old bsa or something
Mickorod Renard: yes, classic not reliable
Korel Laloix: I loved my Buell... grrr... but can't find another with the same feel.
Mickorod Renard: well, i cant think of anything
Mickorod Renard: unless you have a trail bike and get a seat on oit
Korel Laloix: Never done the MX thing... but would love to give that a try.
Mickorod Renard: when I was in France they were into super mono,,many of those were basically trail bikes with road tyres,,they went very well
Mickorod Renard: great handling and small and light
Korel Laloix: Interesting idea... I might investigate that.
Korel Laloix: I do like my Ninja.. and I got it for a great price... but...
Korel Laloix: I need something else.
--BELL--
Mickorod Renard: on some of the twisty mountain roads around the pyrenees they blew me away
Mickorod Renard: eek, i have to leave now Kori,,family calling
Korel Laloix: NO worries... take care.
Mickorod Renard: nice to chat,,thanks
Korel Laloix: Thanks for the chat.
Mickorod Renard: and you
Korel Laloix: ciao
