    Riddle Sideways: medium well, yourself?
    Hana Furlough: good, good

Riddle Sideways: over the years, these little 9+ second pauses have shown to provide an energy recharge
    Riddle Sideways: to a point
Riddle Sideways: that might have been passed
Riddle Sideways: need for actual sleep is still there
Hana Furlough: yeah it can be a nice way to press reset

Riddle Sideways: This weeks special topic, (if we need it), is about Listening.
Riddle Sideways: as described it was supposed to be about deep listening to others
    Hana Furlough: ahh nice!
Hana Furlough: a very difficult gesture indeed
Riddle Sideways: but find the light listening (to these birds, etc.) is happening too
    Hana Furlough: yes!
Hana Furlough: definitely where it's at
    Hana Furlough: thanks : )

    Hana Furlough: yes
Hana Furlough: there's something special about it
Hana Furlough: do you get to enjoy quiet much?
Riddle Sideways: this RL office has a constant hum about the machine-ness
Riddle Sideways: the outside the window sounds can't go over it
Hana Furlough: oh yeah, the sound of machines
Riddle Sideways: unless loud and other
Riddle Sideways: little birds can't be heard
Hana Furlough: that is a bummer

    Hana Furlough: : )
Riddle Sideways: the front yead/hilside has a waterfall-pool feature built a few years ago
Riddle Sideways: they come up to drink
Riddle Sideways: and trash the plants
    Hana Furlough: oh nice
Hana Furlough: that must be a great place to see them
Riddle Sideways: looking at wild turkeys makes it easy to believe in dinosaurs
    Hana Furlough: haha i bet!

Riddle Sideways: listening and hearing are funny words
Riddle Sideways: they some times mean the same
Riddle Sideways: and sometimes are different
    Hana Furlough: yes, for sure
Riddle Sideways: hearing a sound vs. hearing what you mean
    Hana Furlough: ahh yes
    Hana Furlough: there is that
Hana Furlough: as opposed to the intentionality of "listening"
Riddle Sideways: listening to the music
Riddle Sideways: focusing on listening to "Hi San..."
    Hana Furlough: yes
    Santoshima Resident: greetings
    Riddle Sideways: greetings, my friend
    Santoshima Resident: or
    Santoshima Resident: "greetings"
    Hana Furlough: Hi San!
Santoshima Resident: hi hana and riddle

Santoshima Resident: listening to talk about listening?
    Hana Furlough: haha yep!
Riddle Sideways: listening, implies not talking
Riddle Sideways: but, we need to start somewhere
Riddle Sideways: all 3 listening isn't working to good
    Riddle Sideways: :)
Santoshima Resident: we can take turns
    Hana Furlough: : )
    Santoshima Resident: that sometimes works

    Zen Arado: no
Santoshima Resident: no, riddle, that's called something else
Zen Arado: you can examine it though
    Santoshima Resident: sure
Zen Arado: is it one sond or more?
    Zen Arado: is it continuous?
    Zen Arado: which ear?
    Zen Arado: louder in one?
Zen Arado: or is it in the head, not the ear?
Riddle Sideways: was thinking of those Tinnitus moments sometimes sounds like the radio channel has drifted
    Zen Arado: yeh
Santoshima Resident: or all the wifi routers blasting nearby
Riddle Sideways: the Reality show is a little off
    Zen Arado: need retuned
    Zen Arado: :)
    Riddle Sideways: yep
    Zen Arado: auto tune?
Santoshima Resident: what lingers in memory are sounds
Riddle Sideways: nope, tuning in takes effort
    Zen Arado: amazing isn't it
Zen Arado: what is it we are remembering
    Riddle Sideways: echoes?
    Zen Arado: ?

Santoshima Resident: words not easily said in reply also linger
Ewan Bonham: And this can be beyond the dimension of sound?
Zen Arado: yes..the physicla dimension of the pressure waves is gone
Riddle Sideways: oh, those words not said sounds, hmmmmm
Zen Arado: so whatever happened in your brain is all that;s lweft
    Zen Arado: left
Santoshima Resident: the residue of sound
    Zen Arado: yeh
Zen Arado: whatever way it is stored
Ewan Bonham: Is it also the interpretation we have placed upon the sound?
Zen Arado: not an MP3 file I think :)
    Zen Arado: hmmm yeh
    Zen Arado: associations too
    Zen Arado: ?

Riddle Sideways: now have the beach boys stuck in head singing "I'm pickin' up good vibrations ..."
Santoshima Resident: oh no! now so do i

    Ewan Bonham: Bye hana

Riddle Sideways: hearing vibrations that did not come from outside
Zen Arado: incredible how we reproduce music in our heads
Riddle Sideways: that is really good food for thought
Zen Arado: feel myself subvocalizing though
    Zen Arado: ever notice that?
Zen Arado: as if you were singing but not producing any sound
Riddle Sideways: not sure what that means
    Riddle Sideways: please explain
Zen Arado: listen to your beachboys sing and then notice your larynx
Zen Arado: I feel a slight movement there
                     --BELL--
Ewan Bonham: Yes, as if I am singing...but not..
