    Wol Euler: hello qt
    Qt Core: hi Wol
    Wol Euler: sorry I'm late
Qt Core: np, came here just a few seconds before you, almost still rezzing
    Wol Euler smiles.
Wol Euler: how are you today?
Qt Core: sleepy as usual but with a srtange freshness feeling, i think due to having been under a big thunderstorm with no umbrella yesterday
    Wol Euler: wow :)
Wol Euler: did it wash you clean?
Qt Core: even in places i didn't remember i had
    Wol Euler laughs.
Wol Euler: well, that's good then!
Qt Core: even better not having got a pneumonia ;-)
    Wol Euler nods.
    Wol Euler: brb

    Qt Core: hi O
oO0Oo Resident: Hi Qt , Wol
    Wol Euler: hello sam!
Wol Euler: sorry I was away
    Wol Euler: happy Sunday
Wol Euler: so the opening party at La Sakura last night was great fun.
Wol Euler: it's a very pretty place, Storm has done some good work there
Qt Core: i should visit it then
oO0Oo Resident: I'm sorry i missed the party., but some good pics were sent, so was happy to see those in email. Happy for Kiremimi, Storm & Eliza.
Wol Euler: it's worth a visit, and the discussions will probably be wide-ranging and interesting
Wol Euler: I'm trying to free up a group slot so I can join :)
Wol Euler: do yuo have the invitation, qt?
    Qt Core: the email, yes
Wol Euler: okay, but there's also a texture and landmark in-world, I'll give them to you
Wol Euler: sam, do you have them?
Wol Euler: (and if not, do you want them? :)
    oO0Oo Resident: I do have .. thanks Wol !
    Wol Euler: good :)
Qt Core: ty, i'm quite curioous about the "La" part of the name
    Wol Euler: hmmmmmmm
Wol Euler: I'm not sure. perhaps it was just pretty?
oO0Oo Resident: Did Kiremimi give a talk about the vision of the project?
Wol Euler: she did, yes. Let me copy that out of my chat log from last night
    Wol Euler: sec
Qt Core: :-) it could but it could be the note or the singular female article an italian would use (if sakura was italian)
oO0Oo Resident: Do Ray Me Fa So La Sakura
    Wol Euler: heheheheh

    --BELL--

Wol Euler: this is going to take a bit, talk amongst yourselves
Qt Core: Pema's email endig with his mention of "quality" rolled in my mind for a couple days that is the word quality
    Wol Euler listens.
Qt Core: or better, it tome me a couple days to remember where i've read about quality
    Wol Euler: ?
Qt Core: and then i remembered: zen and the art of motorcicle maintenance
Wol Euler: ah. I vaguely remember that, can you remind me please?
Qt Core: i remember it vaguely too... maybe this can help: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zen_and...le_Maintenance
Qt Core: may have to reread it,
Wol Euler: what do you remember about quality frm it, though?
Qt Core: this struggle about knowing what it is but the inability to define/describe it
    Wol Euler listens.
Qt Core: (i may mix in some of my own ideas, as i read it long time ago)
    Wol Euler smiles.
Qt Core: the doubt about not being able to reach it
    Wol Euler: that#s fine
Qt Core: like the garbage example of pema, if we let the forst impression of the garbage block us, or maybe that impression is the second ?
    Wol Euler nods.
    Wol Euler: I see, I think :)
Wol Euler: the garbage is a fine example of how categories and previous knowledge can prevent us seeing
Wol Euler: I think for example of many of Picasso's sculptures, which were made from garbage, junk he found on the beach.

A tiny visitor appeared, running in circles. Finally she stopped and I spoke.

    Wol Euler: hello Tinyvisitor
    Tinyvisitor: hello!
Wol Euler: have you been here before?
    Qt Core: hi Tinyvisitor
    Tinyvisitor: yes, UI kit
Wol Euler: lovely avatar, by the way
    Tinyvisitor: ty
Tinyvisitor: this has always struck me as a strange gathering place of many I see in SL
Qt Core: i would put strange after many ;-)
Wol Euler: so you have been here before?
    Tinyvisitor: its up there
Qt Core: and even the g after the n ;-)
oO0Oo Resident: Strange in what way Tinyvisitor?

    --BELL--

Tinyvisitor: it makes me think of cults and other strange things
Tinyvisitor: or perhaps some strange aimless drug induced topics
Tinyvisitor: the oddest part was the person who uses a crasher to remove the topics, or those bringing up the topics he or she does not like
Tinyvisitor: that was the last time I was here
Wol Euler: are you sure it was the topics and not the presentation, Tinyvisitor? we practice non-confrontational and non-violent discourse here
Wol Euler: many people aren't used to that
Tinyvisitor: oh I am sure :D
    Wol Euler: okay :)
Wol Euler: I won't disagree with your memory, certainly not without knowing what you remember :)
oO0Oo Resident: Do you know about the logging of our discussions to a public wiki Tinyvisitor?
    Tinyvisitor: yes
    Tinyvisitor: I've seen it
oO0Oo Resident: and you are OK with having your name and words included?
Tinyvisitor: what happens if I say no?
oO0Oo Resident: then we will omit them
Wol Euler: the guardian has a bit of work replacing your name in the logs
Wol Euler: and everybody's answers to you
Tinyvisitor: find and replace is a handy tool!
Wol Euler: if everyone referred to you as "Tinyvisitor" it would be perfect :)
    Tinyvisitor: lol they don't
oO0Oo Resident: if you do not wish to participate in that way.. it may be better to simply listen and observe, as the record becomes a bit strange otherwise.
    Wol Euler: indeed
    Tinyvisitor: what is its purpose?
Wol Euler: so that absent members can read what was said here
Qt Core: to help people from other timezones and memory ;-)
Wol Euler: there are four meetings a day, nobody can attend them all
Tinyvisitor: what is the purpose of this location?
Wol Euler: it was built to give the group a permanent home
    Tinyvisitor: strange
    Wol Euler raises an eyebrow.
oO0Oo Resident: I have given Tinyvisitor a LM and notecard.. The wiki explains the view of the group and location Tinyvisitor.
    Wol Euler: ty sam
Tinyvisitor walks over and pushes it back to a more normal eyebrow position
    Wol Euler: thank you
Tinyvisitor: the wiki just makes me more confused
oO0Oo Resident: If it feels strange and cultlike to you, you know, you need not stay.
Tinyvisitor: no, but I do not see a requirment to go either
Qt Core: maybe if you tell us what you find strange we can explain it
Tinyvisitor: what aspect of the life is being experimented on, is it following some kind of scientific formula if it is not a cult?
oO0Oo Resident: Qt there is some memory i have also of Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenence.. that feels similar. Asking questions of life that are hard to answer with words etc.
Tinyvisitor: is any of it drug related?>
Wol Euler: no drugs that I know of, certainly none are required
Qt Core: that depend,. is knowledge a drug ?
Wol Euler: the experiment is on perception, to examine the difference between what happens and what seems
Tinyvisitor: and what is the end? what is the desired information or desired knowledge
Qt Core: rl is calling me, need to go
Wol Euler: bye qt, enjoy the day
Wol Euler: nice to see you again
oO0Oo Resident: Bye Qt.. best wishes
    Tinyvisitor: bye bye UI set
Qt Core: i'll try, and have fun you all

    --BELL--

Tinyvisitor: can I request my name be replaced?
Tinyvisitor: I want it replaced with the mighty super hampster of monkey land
Wol Euler: no, we won't do that
Wol Euler: if you don't want your real name used, we will anonymize it
Tinyvisitor: aww I'd rather have it be a funny name!
    Tinyvisitor: \ttfn
Wol Euler: funny how some people expect conversation to revolve around themselves
Wol Euler: and how others are so polite as to allow that
oO0Oo Resident: Looks like visitor X has left
    Wol Euler: indeed
    oO0Oo Resident smiles
oO0Oo Resident: yes.. people like testing the boundaries
Wol Euler: as babies and small children do
    oO0Oo Resident: and some puppys
Wol Euler: we do them a disservice by not showing them where the boundary is, as parents do to their kids and pets
Wol Euler: I'd love to know whose alt she is, and whether I banned that person. Seems to have a bee in her bonnet about it.
Wol Euler: and the banning is almost always silent as far as the log is concerned, it happens in IM.
Wol Euler: so unless it happened to her, she's very unlikely to know of it
    Wol Euler: anyway.
    oO0Oo Resident: Hard to know
Wol Euler: fancy qt bringing up "Zen and the art of motorcycle maintenance", I haven't thought of that book in ages.
oO0Oo Resident: some people are just naturally rude
    Wol Euler: that too! heheheh
Wol Euler: and expect the world to make room for their rudeness
oO0Oo Resident: especially when i feel stressed
oO0Oo Resident: I can be rude too
    oO0Oo Resident: but
oO0Oo Resident: I do not try to be
    Wol Euler nods.
oO0Oo Resident: it is not my ultimate aim
    Wol Euler nods.
Wol Euler: answering rudeness with rudeness is like mudwrestling with a pig
    oO0Oo Resident: lol
Wol Euler: you both get dirty, but the pig enjoys it
    oO0Oo Resident: lol
oO0Oo Resident: not sure the pig enjoys it deep down.. but I know what you mean
Wol Euler: oh, pigs love mud!
Wol Euler: they have no sweat glands, so they roll in mud to cool themselves
oO0Oo Resident: On that note... ::: laughs ::: I will wander along. Hope your day is a vivid and unique one Wol.
    Wol Euler: awwwww
Wol Euler: thank you sam, what a lovely blessing
Wol Euler: same to you, dear one
    oO0Oo Resident: bfn
