--BELL--
Eliza Madrigal: Hello Lucinda! Glamorous gown this morning ^.^
Arisia Vita: welcome Luci
Lucinda Lavender: HI Everyone:)
Lucinda Lavender: Glad to see ...you
Eliza Madrigal: I am listening to music... lively piano. It is especially entertaining to see the typing animations along with
Eliza Madrigal: gives a kind of sountrack... like a silent film
Lucinda Lavender: :))
Lucinda Lavender: sounds lively!
Eliza Madrigal: "Lazy River" is anything but lazy
Bleu Oleander: 's current display-name is "Bleu".
Arisia Vita: welcome Bleu
Eliza Madrigal: Morning Bleu :)
Bleu Oleander: hi everyone :)
Lucinda Lavender: I am afriad I need to get my glasses...brb:) HI bleu:)
Lucinda Lavender: back
Arisia Vita: wb
Bleu Oleander: back and able to see :)
Eliza Madrigal: :)
Arisia Vita: there is much beauty here to see
Bleu Oleander: just came back from an early morning walk ... lovely
Lucinda Lavender: that sounds wonderful...
Eliza Madrigal: does :)
Bleu Oleander: so many birds
Bleu Oleander: we now have a big "community" of peach-headed love birds
Bleu Oleander: such a sweet song
Arisia Vita: what a lovely name
Lucinda Lavender: yes:)
Hana Furlough: 's current display-name is "Hana".
Eliza Madrigal: they've found a suitable setting in which to play?
Bleu Oleander: http://www.birdchannel.com/bird-spec...ovebird-2.aspx
Arisia Vita: welcome Hana
Eliza Madrigal: Hello Hana :))
Hana Furlough: Hello all!
Bleu Oleander: hi Hana :)
Lucinda Lavender: HI Hannah!
Lucinda Lavender: oops Hana
Hana Furlough: haha both are good
Eliza Madrigal: this morning I was remembering the song Daydream Believer, and that Pema was introduced to virtual worlds by Michael Nesmith
Lucinda Lavender: That is very interesting...
Eliza Madrigal: so a few more steps and PaB came from a Monkee
Eliza Madrigal giggles
Hana Furlough: : )
Lucinda Lavender: evolving as it goes...
Bleu Oleander: hehe
Lucinda Lavender: I am curious...do you all find daydreaming happens for you? ...I do not do that much tho I do take time thinking about things...
Bleu Oleander: I do daydream
Lucinda Lavender: when I have a moment
Bleu Oleander: yes
Arisia Vita: what is the difference between day-thinking and day-dreaming? :)
Hana Furlough: i spend a lot of time daydreaming
Hana Furlough: or some version of that
Lucinda Lavender: good question...
Bleu Oleander: daydreaming seems a bit more detached from what's going on
Lucinda Lavender: does it feel dreamy?
Lucinda Lavender: do you have to jostle your self awke sort of?
Bleu Oleander: dissociation from immediate surroundings
Arisia Vita: A hope is a wish your mind makes, a dream is a wish your heart makes.
Eliza Madrigal: I'm not sure if what I do is daydreaming... there is a kind of daydreaming I'd like to be "better" at, or more fluid with
Hana Furlough: me too
Lucinda Lavender: I like that Arisia...dreaming and the heart
Bleu Oleander: perhaps daydreaming is an escape from boredom or the mundane?
--BELL--
Lucinda Lavender: to allow the mind to let go enough to wander is not always easy...for me it seems to travel through automatic landscapes...the escape feeling is interesting
Bleu Oleander: I develop my artistic ideas by daydreaming
Arisia Vita: to paraphrase Shaw...Some see things that are and ask why. I dream things that could be and ask why not.
Bleu Oleander: lately I've been daydreaming about dreaming lol
Eliza Madrigal: can be... like when one realizes their mind was awandering... or, daydreams can be actively creative (lucid or not, though I think even not has lucid aspects)
Eliza Madrigal smiles at Bleu
Hana Furlough: yes, like letting images come
Eliza Madrigal: me too I think, since we began focusing
Lucinda Lavender: shall we experiment with creating a daydream landscape here and now?
Eliza Madrigal: :)
Bleu Oleander: sure
Hana Furlough: great!
Bleu Oleander: sl feels like a daydream sometimes
Eliza Madrigal nods
Lucinda Lavender: we could randomly suggest elements as if they were part of the landscape
Bleu Oleander: the thought of a sea breeze always starts me daydreaming :)
And so it begins...
Lucinda Lavender: I will start...it will be "In a golden light of morning...sky blue...and I will imagine the perfect tempurature ...
Bleu Oleander: can I add my breeze to that?
Lucinda Lavender: yes:)
Hana Furlough: and ocean with no end
Eliza Madrigal: bits of seaweed tangled in toes
Hana Furlough: smiles
Bleu Oleander: fishy smells
Lucinda Lavender: a fire cracking beside a beach...
Arisia Vita: a circle of friends, holding hands...
Bleu Oleander: sound of sea gulls
Bleu Oleander: fishermen taking their boats out early
Lucinda Lavender: smell of woedsmoke
Eliza Madrigal: girl sits against a large rock, playing a guitar softly
Lucinda Lavender: humming a new tune
Hana Furlough: to the waves
Bleu Oleander: breeze move through her hair ... must be flexy :)
Lucinda Lavender: :))
Eliza Madrigal: child walks up playing a platic bucket, blending in
Eliza Madrigal: little red ringlets bouncing around
Bleu Oleander: interesting how I'm slipping back and forth between sl and rl in this daydream
Lucinda Lavender: nods
Lucinda Lavender: someone opens a basket to reveal...
Bleu Oleander: bagels
Eliza Madrigal: and the makings of mimosas
Bleu Oleander: yay!
Bleu Oleander: such a change in the moods of our daydream
Bleu Oleander: amazing the power of words
Eliza Madrigal: SL reallly is so amazingly dreamy... in another IM, someone sent the following message to a group: "can someone please send me the cloud fixer"
Arisia Vita: is the power in the words? or the one who hears them?
Bleu Oleander: :) Eliza
Eliza Madrigal: :)
Bleu Oleander: both Ari
Bleu Oleander: we probably all "see" a different basket but somehow the meaning gets across
Lucinda Lavender: nodding
Eliza Madrigal: as we're talking, the little girl is still playing, in my imagery... scattering glitter into the sand and sound
Hana Furlough: ooh glitter!
Bleu Oleander: and collecting small shells
Bleu Oleander: for her basket
Lucinda Lavender: and out in the sea the whales have arrived
Bleu Oleander: wow so "west coast" hehe
Lucinda Lavender: :))
Eliza Madrigal: time has disappeared
Hana Furlough: yes
Bleu Oleander: yes
Lucinda Lavender: transported by imagery
Bleu Oleander: yes
Lucinda Lavender: carried by it sort of
--BELL--
Lucinda Lavender: An eagle arrives high in a tree and looks down upon the scene...in curiousity.
Arisia Vita: sand and sea and dreams brings to mind lines from a poem..
Arisia Vita: I stand amid the roar Of a surf-tormented shore, And I hold within my hand Grains of the golden sand— How few! yet how they creep Through my fingers to the deep, While I weep- while I weep! O God! can I not grasp Them with a tighter clasp? O God! can I not save One from the pitiless wave? Is all that we see or seem But a dream within a dream? - Edgar Allan Poe
Lucinda Lavender: amazing choice...
Eliza Madrigal: a few spy the eagle, stopping in wonder
Arisia Vita: also speaks to the march of time
Bleu Oleander: dream within a dream
Eliza Madrigal: blending of eyes
Hana Furlough: : )
Lucinda Lavender: A fine sight...
Lucinda Lavender: Haha! an aside here...
Bleu Oleander: we've created so many visuals here ... one could imagine using many of them in our AoB projects to tell this dream
Lucinda Lavender: on the first day of summer...I decided to post a list from my classroom work
Eliza Madrigal: true... and still proliferaing like particle emitters ^.^
Eliza Madrigal listens
Lucinda Lavender: this list was what we thought we would see at the beach...and then what we actually did wsee
Bleu Oleander: fun
Lucinda Lavender: ...feeling I am in a real dream here
Bleu Oleander: did the list match?
Lucinda Lavender: not exactly...we thought we would see some really wild stuff
Bleu Oleander: ha!
Lucinda Lavender: and the list of what we did see was shorter
Bleu Oleander: ah nice
Lucinda Lavender: it included much fewer sea animals
Lucinda Lavender: more of the small type too
Arisia Vita: welcome Xiri
Xirana Oximoxi: 's current display-name is "Xirana".
Bleu Oleander: hi Xiri :)
Lucinda Lavender: Hi xrir...
Hana Furlough: hello xiri
Bleu Oleander: we're daydreaming by the shore
Eliza Madrigal: Hi Xiri :)
Arisia Vita: I think there is always more to see than we saw. :)
Lucinda Lavender: xiri...we are doing some daydreaming of a beach scene here
Xirana Oximoxi: hello everyone! :-)
Bleu Oleander: for sure Ari
Arisia Vita: I do not know what I may appear to the world, but to myself I seem to have been only like a boy playing on the seashore, and diverting myself in now and then finding a smoother pebble or a prettier shell than ordinary, whilst the great ocean of truth lay all undiscovered before me. - Isaac Newton
Lucinda Lavender: I loved that one child chose...Island Far Away...
Xirana Oximoxi: where is the beach scene?....
Eliza Madrigal: :)
Bleu Oleander: wherever you want it to be
Xirana Oximoxi: ok :-)
Lucinda Lavender: OUr current one here from your imagination
Bleu Oleander: help yourself to bagels and mimosas
Eliza Madrigal: someone spies the hard dark edges of something peeking out of the sand and begins to dig...
Xirana Oximoxi: perfect:) better to dream :)
Lucinda Lavender: and the sunny day with whales, guitars, eagles,
Arisia Vita: ...and friends
Bleu Oleander: carefully moving the sand away
Lucinda Lavender: hmmm a hard edge...
Eliza Madrigal: so heavy.... calls for help are heard...
Bleu Oleander: can you really dig a hole to China?
Lucinda Lavender: digging and digging with effort...
Arisia Vita: you can in your dreams
Eliza Madrigal: seeing a chinese dragon etched into the side of...
Bleu Oleander: a boat of some kind
Xirana Oximoxi: building with the sand...drawing stories...
Eliza Madrigal: could it be...
Lucinda Lavender: nods
Xirana Oximoxi: and seeing how the water delets them
Lucinda Lavender: eyes wide
Arisia Vita: I recall the delightful feel of wet sand dribbling through my fingers to create sand sculptures
Eliza Madrigal: how strange, it IS a boat... can we fit? and you know I never noticed that island before... (sees child off to the side smiling saying "I told you!")
Hana Furlough: : )
Lucinda Lavender: :))
Lucinda Lavender: if we can just free it from the sand
Bleu Oleander: ok who's driving?
Eliza Madrigal: what's the chicken doing here? giggles
Bleu Oleander: haha
Lucinda Lavender: :))good question! wandered in from a nearby farm:)
Hana Furlough: (sneaks out to go to bed... sweet daydreaming to you all!)
Eliza Madrigal: night Hana :) lovely to see you
Bleu Oleander: nite Hana
Eliza Madrigal: maybe we'll sail to you
Lucinda Lavender: thanks for daydreaming haha
Xirana Oximoxi: bye bye Hana...sweet dreams :)
Lucinda Lavender: hana
Hana Furlough: haha yes! please do!
Hana Furlough: good night!
Eliza Madrigal: :)
Arisia Vita: we'll see you in your dreams
Hana Furlough: : )
Xirana Oximoxi: hehe yes,... we can meet there :)
--BELL--
Lucinda Lavender: Thanks everyone for trying this...have you any thoughts about it?
Eliza Madrigal: so much fun, Luci, ty
Bleu Oleander: very nice ... like a mini vacation

Lucinda Lavender: it feels rich and rejuvenating to me
Eliza Madrigal: yes!
Bleu Oleander: yes
Xirana Oximoxi: sorry I've been late and I've missed the big part
Lucinda Lavender: rich and rejuvenating to me...
Eliza Madrigal: would be fun to begin at this end point on another day
Lucinda Lavender: bring back sure
Bleu Oleander: yes
Bleu Oleander: maybe next friday?
Arisia Vita: Yesterday is but today's memory, and tomorrow is today's dream. - Kahlil Gibran
Eliza Madrigal smiles
Lucinda Lavender: I will post and if anyone sees and wishes to continue tonight at 7 pm...I will suggest
Bleu Oleander: yes nice
Lucinda Lavender: or ok..next week is fine too:)
Lucinda Lavender: we shall see what the mood is tonight then
Bleu Oleander: I won't be able to come tonight but will enjoy following how it goes
Eliza Madrigal: what are your thoughts Luci? a bit similar to dream circle isn't it?
Lucinda Lavender: yes...ideas coming together joining and weaving
Bleu Oleander: a dream tapestry
Xirana Oximoxi: I will be sleeping at 7 pm...but maybe I can come dreaming :)
Lucinda Lavender: we are good at that here in this landscape
Lucinda Lavender: yes xiri:)
Xirana Oximoxi: :)
Lucinda Lavender: send in the dreams
Eliza Madrigal: :)
Xirana Oximoxi: ok...I'll try :))
Eliza Madrigal: heard that in the tune of "send in the clowns"
Xirana Oximoxi: but my dreams are chaotic :))
Lucinda Lavender: this sl place is such a place of intersection...almost a dream initself
Bleu Oleander: yes
Eliza Madrigal: maybe we can tame them Xiri :)
Bleu Oleander: like a dream in that sense
Xirana Oximoxi: yes:)
Lucinda Lavender: yes..we will soften them
Eliza Madrigal: offer them goodies
Lucinda Lavender: by pouring sand on
Eliza Madrigal: mmm
Bleu Oleander: strange things coming and going but making a story of it
Lucinda Lavender: trusting
Lucinda Lavender: and allowing
Lucinda Lavender: and including
Lucinda Lavender: building
Arisia Vita: sharing
Bleu Oleander: visualizing
Lucinda Lavender: :))
Arisia Vita: The mind succeeds by dreaming, the heart by loving, the hand by doing.
Bleu Oleander: changing pathways and ways of thinking
Eliza Madrigal: would like to be able to hold objects of imagination longer... it is like, they begin to dissipate but one offers another image or feeling in and gets to stay a while
Lucinda Lavender: a certain flow involved
Lucinda Lavender: movement
Bleu Oleander: objects of imagination are like birds ... they need to fly
Eliza Madrigal: very much so, yes
Eliza Madrigal: :)
Eliza Madrigal: music seems to help me, contain a kind of continuity
Lucinda Lavender: it certainly feel like music stirs my emotional body
Lucinda Lavender: and the mental body
Bleu Oleander: we want to hold on but can't ... can only feel imagination's freedom
Lucinda Lavender: the whole self
Eliza Madrigal: musical body
Lucinda Lavender: I once had a daydream at a dream workshop
Bleu Oleander: :)
Lucinda Lavender: following some instructions
Eliza Madrigal listens
Xirana Oximoxi: / me too
Lucinda Lavender: and shared it with a chjoir frind and learned she had the sam daydream
Lucinda Lavender: choir friend
Eliza Madrigal: *nice*
Lucinda Lavender: it was rather straking
Lucinda Lavender: striking
Lucinda Lavender: sorry for misspell
Eliza Madrigal: particular images?
Lucinda Lavender: a dwelling by the ocean in which water came up into the house
Lucinda Lavender: and it was shaped like arch
Lucinda Lavender: the water coming up to meet the fire place
Eliza Madrigal: unique
Xirana Oximoxi: oh!
Lucinda Lavender: yes
Xirana Oximoxi: oh!
Lucinda Lavender: each side of the arch had a special studio room for work
Lucinda Lavender: one for art and one for thinking
Lucinda Lavender: just interesting
--BELL--
Lucinda Lavender: needed a complete room just for thinking:)
Eliza Madrigal smiles
Xirana Oximoxi: :-)
Bleu Oleander: thank you Luci for a lovely daydream session ... must be going

Xirana Oximoxi: thanks for hosting this dreaming session :-)
Eliza Madrigal: I feel the same really, Luci...
Xirana Oximoxi: bye bye
Eliza Madrigal: we reach the edges of these dreamy places and it is fun to jump in
Eliza Madrigal: feel guards falling, or relaxing a bit anyway
Lucinda Lavender: maybe we are remembering and see further at the same time
Lucinda Lavender: new combinations
Eliza Madrigal: it taps the same place doesn't it... memory
Lucinda Lavender: with new people
Eliza Madrigal: mmm
Eliza Madrigal: one begins to feel like we've done this a million times in different ways
Lucinda Lavender: funny thing...the SL Retreat was by the beach...
Lucinda Lavender: and remembering it was happening
Lucinda Lavender: or...maybe we give ourselves permission...to re-create
Eliza Madrigal: to be what we are...in a sense
Lucinda Lavender: yes
Lucinda Lavender: what better way to play
Lucinda Lavender: ?
Eliza Madrigal: begin to remember being play (ful)
Lucinda Lavender: dive in
Lucinda Lavender: to deeper levels
Eliza Madrigal: mmm and sustain those levels
Lucinda Lavender: yes the form of it kind of sustains the energy created
Eliza Madrigal: I was asking the other day about the level of dreaming that reaches into premonistic vision
Lucinda Lavender: shall we go now? I should check the chickens...
Lucinda Lavender: oh...yes?
Eliza Madrigal: think it is similar... this tapping into memory and imagination at once
Eliza Madrigal: collective memory... pretty wild
Lucinda Lavender: yes...perhaps we go back to a remembered setting and invite in what is coming
Eliza Madrigal: :)
Eliza Madrigal: okay... love to the chickens <3
Eliza Madrigal: will try to come tonight not sure yet , hugs and thanks
Lucinda Lavender: thank you for everything:)
Eliza Madrigal: thank *you*
Lucinda Lavender: hugs to you too
