Santoshima Resident: tai was so happy to have sun today ... lies on his back and stretches all limbs out
Santoshima Resident: not sure how he manages to stay on his back
Santoshima Resident: but it seems quite ecstatic
stevenaia Michinaga: nods, the confusing cat pose, they all know how to do it
    Santoshima Resident: hmm
Santoshima Resident: you're going to hear music?
stevenaia Michinaga: nods, on Satruday, Roger Waters of Pink Floyd is doing "The Wall"
Santoshima Resident: oh ... will look up later, as I don't know it (alas)
    stevenaia Michinaga: nods

    --BELL--
stevenaia Michinaga: Hi Luci, how are you?
    Lucinda Lavender: hi Stevenaia
    Lucinda Lavender: I am well
Lucinda Lavender: a busy day of elder care but a sunny one
stevenaia Michinaga: nods, just plane hot here
    Lucinda Lavender: and for you?
stevenaia Michinaga: cat seems attracted it the heat
    Lucinda Lavender: hmmm
Lucinda Lavender: what sort of temperature?
    Lucinda Lavender: 90's 100's?
    stevenaia Michinaga: 90's
stevenaia Michinaga: in A/C most of the day
    Lucinda Lavender: nodding
Lucinda Lavender: no clouds in this sky
Lucinda Lavender: which is kind of special in this part of the world
stevenaia Michinaga: you in a perpetual rainy area?
    Lucinda Lavender: yep...or cloudy anyway
Lucinda Lavender: summer does not start till July
stevenaia Michinaga: does it last long, sounds like Montreal, a short intense summer
Lucinda Lavender: yes...sometimes lasts until October
    stevenaia Michinaga: hi Eos
    Lucinda Lavender: hi eos
    stevenaia Michinaga: welcome
Eos Amaterasu: Hi stevie & luci
    stevenaia Michinaga: been quiet here
    Eos Amaterasu listens
Lucinda Lavender: perhaps a good catch up moment in the day?
Eos Amaterasu: the pavilion is timeless
stevenaia Michinaga: yes, a sepecial place
    Lucinda Lavender: place without/outside of...time?
stevenaia Michinaga: it seems to be more and more
Eos Amaterasu: to rephrase Boxy's question, how do we bring the pavilion into Real Life?
Lucinda Lavender: Luci thinks...well for me it would become real if...we could be rather honest about what was the hardest part of the day...
stevenaia Michinaga: that is a very interesting question, I thing we each carry a bit of it
    stevenaia Michinaga: *think
Lucinda Lavender: not sure that is what he meant tho:)
Lucinda Lavender: in my basket of reality...I carry...
stevenaia Michinaga: there is a presents we give this place that becomes part of us when we leave
    stevenaia Michinaga: presence
    Lucinda Lavender: nods
stevenaia Michinaga: as we do with every new experience
Eos Amaterasu: yeah, funny it comes from us and returns to us
stevenaia Michinaga: and is given to everyone we meet
    Lucinda Lavender: presence...
stevenaia Michinaga: whether we know it or now
Eos Amaterasu: micro spirit being shared
    --BELL--
    stevenaia Michinaga: why micro
    Eos Amaterasu: little moments
Eos Amaterasu: but they could be big and long as well
Eos Amaterasu: 9 seconds is micro; 90 seconds is pretty micro too
Eos Amaterasu: but little blips from many people creates something.....
stevenaia Michinaga: nods, but the spirit is infinite
Eos Amaterasu: the resting spirit of the universe is immense
Eos Amaterasu: But what boxy said...
Eos Amaterasu: Topic, Week 1 - application of spiritual practices in real life (e.g. vipassana in dharma is a way to calm down our thoughts and increase awareness of self. its rl application is lessen stress, normalize breathing, settle down. another example is feng shui, which is a play on energies in a closed system. in rl its manifestation is in keeping the house tidy and uncluttered :)
Eos Amaterasu: I think something like keeping the house tidy and uncluttered is also a way to invite
stevenaia Michinaga: it all has an affect on yourself and others
Eos Amaterasu: it's not the tidyness itself; it's the clearing of a space of invitation
Eos Amaterasu: yes, affects you and others
    stevenaia Michinaga: permiates conciousness
stevenaia Michinaga: like drops of water in a pond
Eos Amaterasu: such feeling needs to permeate the body politic
    stevenaia Michinaga: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Body_politic
Lucinda Lavender: remember something about a "saltfilled pancake on the body politic"...
Eos Amaterasu: so, application of pavilion type practices to real life is necessary ingredient for sanity
Eos Amaterasu: (this is Eos's personal mythology)
Lucinda Lavender: stopping briefly with awareness
    Eos Amaterasu: yes
    Eos Amaterasu: just that
stevenaia Michinaga: a candy store for growth
Eos Amaterasu: "all the world is birthday cake, so take a piece but not too much"
Lucinda Lavender: no stuffing oneself on any one experience
Eos Amaterasu: all power does not come from the barrel of a gun; rather, power comes from the eye aiming down the barrel of the gun
    stevenaia Michinaga: nods
Eos Amaterasu: we're really good at making gun barrels
Eos Amaterasu: not so good at improving the right aim
stevenaia Michinaga: seems we figured out the easy things first
Lucinda Lavender: thinking about being receptive as well
    Eos Amaterasu listening
Lucinda Lavender: one practice for me is allowing others to approach
Lucinda Lavender: whether it be plants, stones, dreams, humans, ideas
Lucinda Lavender: watching...what is surfacing in the envioronment now
    Eos Amaterasu awares
    --BELL--
Eos Amaterasu: (speaking of aware-ing, time to sleep....)
    Eos Amaterasu: thanks, stevie, luci
stevenaia Michinaga: nods, night Eos, thanks
    Lucinda Lavender: thanks eos:)
Lucinda Lavender: I will go too...
    stevenaia Michinaga: night Luci
Lucinda Lavender: haveing experienced a blooming stillness here...
    stevenaia Michinaga: or evening :P
    stevenaia Michinaga: see you soon
    Lucinda Lavender: sweet dreams...
    stevenaia Michinaga: thx
