The Guardian for this meeting was Yakuzza Lethecus. The comments are by Yakuzza Lethecus.

    Yakuzza Lethecus: hey zen :)
    Zen Arado: Hi Yaku :)
Zen Arado: a bit quiet tonight
Yakuzza Lethecus: silent evening so far :)
Yakuzza Lethecus: yes, but it´s been a very nice day
Zen Arado: lots of people are on holidays
Zen Arado: are you going to Venice?
Yakuzza Lethecus: just talking to aph about it
Yakuzza Lethecus: and checking prices for the flight and possible dates
Yakuzza Lethecus: well they only fly on thursday and monday from and too the airport from the airport i would like to fly from in case i would fly
    Zen Arado: that's awkward
Zen Arado: Monday would be best I suppose?
Yakuzza Lethecus: i can only do extended weekends
Yakuzza Lethecus: so friday- monday would be interesting but i haven´t checked the group schedule and don´t know when the rest departs
Zen Arado: it's a beaytiful place
    Zen Arado: beautiful
Yakuzza Lethecus: never been there, but with wol and aph there are a few very culturally and architectually interested beings, it will be nice
Zen Arado: it would not be good for me..old and not accessible
Yakuzza Lethecus: yes, i recall :(
Zen Arado: I would like to take photos and do paintings ffrom tyhem
Zen Arado: Venice is a great place for painting
Zen Arado: old colourful buildings with crumbling plaster and reflections in the water
Yakuzza Lethecus: when you started painting, did you ever watch bob ross ?
Zen Arado: I watched him once or twice on sky
Zen Arado: I didn't like his style very much
Zen Arado: he tried to make it look easy but he had practised those technics a long time I think
    Zen Arado: techniques
Zen Arado: some artists have their own techniques but when you try to do yet it doesn't work
Zen Arado: so it's better to develop your own way of painting I think
Yakuzza Lethecus: when did you start to paint ?
Zen Arado: over 20 years ago
Yakuzza Lethecus: you started to study again after you retired, so that was even before
Zen Arado: I think Bob Ross died a few years back and his son gives demonstrations
    --BELL--
Zen Arado: I did studying and painting
Zen Arado: I try to do too many things
Zen Arado: I should just concentrate on one thing
Yakuzza Lethecus: what ever feels good to you :)
Yakuzza Lethecus: but i have too many shoulds either
    Zen Arado: yes
Zen Arado: We have to do what we have to do
Yakuzza Lethecus: i should read as much as you do :)
Zen Arado: I would get bored if I just did one thing
Zen Arado: I think we should do whatever interests us most
Zen Arado: it's great that I have a choice
Zen Arado: some people have to work long hours just to be able to eat
Yakuzza Lethecus: yes, when we compare us to 2nd, 3rd world countries we usually suffer on very high levels when we don´t have time for hobbys or interests
Yakuzza Lethecus: or considering how much time one can spend on playing
Zen Arado: yes, we are so lucky
Zen Arado: and it's just an accident where we were born
Yakuzza Lethecus: we are so well trained not to be happy about that fact all day :)
    Zen Arado: I know :-)
Zen Arado: I don't think so many people are coming to the meetings lately
Zen Arado: perhaps they will have to close some of them down
Yakuzza Lethecus: wol is still in canada i guess and she brings aga with her
Zen Arado: yes but even other meetings not so many people come
Yakuzza Lethecus: then a specific mass of ppl makes it easier for others to stay then as well
    Zen Arado: this
    Zen Arado: yes
Zen Arado: I haven't seen boxy around this week much
Yakuzza Lethecus: have not seen him either, but i was only in riddle´s session so far
Yakuzza Lethecus: can´t think of anything labbish atm
    Zen Arado: labbish?
Zen Arado: about science you mean?
Yakuzza Lethecus: yes, the current theme
Zen Arado: Maybe the trouble is the way we split all these forms of knowledge into different disciplines
Zen Arado: it was all called natural philosophy at one time I think
Zen Arado: we need to synthesise them again
    Zen Arado: a multidisciplinary approach
    Yakuzza Lethecus: artes liberales
Zen Arado: but that's difficult because there is so much knowledge now
Yakuzza Lethecus: even physics was philosophy :)
Zen Arado: people tend to specialise just to be able to get anywhere
    --BELL--
Zen Arado: Leonardo da Vinci was able to investigate a lot of different subjects and be a great artist as well
Yakuzza Lethecus: i wonder if he was able to enjoy his own work as much was we are able to enjoy his
Zen Arado: they say he should have gone more deeply into some of the areas he studied
Zen Arado: I think he just did what he enjoyed
Zen Arado: I wonder how successful second life is at the moment
Zen Arado: you don't know how many people are online these days
Yakuzza Lethecus: they stopped publishing that number ?
Zen Arado: you used to see it when you start it up Phoenix
Zen Arado: it probably is published somewhere but I don't know where
Zen Arado: I think the guy who started it does other things now
    Yakuzza Lethecus: http://community.secondlife.com/t5/F...1/ba-p/1166705
Zen Arado: I think we forget how much it has improved
Zen Arado: I rarely crash now
Yakuzza Lethecus: only info till 2011
Zen Arado: that doesn't look too bad but that was last year
Yakuzza Lethecus: yes, i bet they also know how to improve stats :)
    Zen Arado: yeah :-)
Yakuzza Lethecus: thinking of good old winston
    Zen Arado: Winston?
    Yakuzza Lethecus: churchil
Zen Arado: damned lies and statistics?
    Zen Arado: :-)
    Yakuzza Lethecus: yes
Yakuzza Lethecus: never trust one that you did not fake urself
    Zen Arado: smiles
Zen Arado: I wonder what would happen if they closed it down
Zen Arado: we would all have to go somewhere else
Yakuzza Lethecus: opensim would take a large core
Yakuzza Lethecus: but ultimatly it´s too complicated and to scattered over the web
Zen Arado: yes it looks complicated to me
Zen Arado: just for a computer geeks
Yakuzza Lethecus: and those even love oldschool irc chat till this day, less is more
    --BELL--
Zen Arado: funny but I never liked that
Zen Arado: Time to go, byee
    Yakuzza Lethecus: bye zen
