2008.10.08 07:00 - I Know this Riddle

I like silly jokes, puns and riddles so when I have a chance to talk to Riddle, I have a soft spot based simply on a name.  On top of that I have thought several times that maybe Riddle and I may have common threads in our backgrounds based on shared humor and stories.  The funny thing is we've never met in person.  I wonder if it's true.  I was pleased to speak to Riddle this morning if only for a short time. - CH

Transitions, new engagements, activism ...

Caledonia Heron: gosh, no kidding
Riddle Sideways: started both a new contract and a new job
Caledonia Heron: that's a lot of new all at once :)
Riddle Sideways: had to finish old products/projects
Riddle Sideways: need to go out of town for a week
Riddle Sideways: Yom Kippor tonight/tomorrow
Caledonia Heron: mmm, do you have kids living at home - always hard for the one that stays home to juggle stuff
Caledonia Heron: ah, and holiday ... you are busy
Riddle Sideways: 1 is still here
Caledonia heron: me too , 1 at home
Riddle Sideways: son is not at university, but in Ohio helping Obama
Caledonia Heron: wow - very cool, I like that so many college age people are engaged in the election process
Riddle Sideways: he has quit engineering/biz school for polical sci
Riddle Sideways: I may be supporting him forever
Caledonia Heron: lol, until he's supporting you
Caledonia Heron: dad, open wide, here comes the airplane into the hanger :)

Caledonia Heron: now isn't that nummy nummy
Riddle Sideways: can't see him doing that
Riddle Sideways: daughter is my last best hope
Riddle Sideways: but she will probably be a starving artist
Caledonia Heron: there is a tradition in other cultures that the youngest daughter cares for the elders
Riddle Sideways: I'm hoping that
Caledonia Heron: be extra nice :)
Riddle Sideways: am getting close to elder status
Caledonia Heron: getting mail from aarp? :)

Caledonia Heron: some of my friends are too
