[01:20] Wol Euler: good morning, rhi
[01:20] Rhiannon Dragoone: hi Wol!
[01:20] Rhiannon Dragoone: You looked lonely on the map, so I thought I'd drop by before I logged
[01:20] Wol Euler: awwwwwww, thank you <3
[01:21] Wol Euler: how is rosalyn?
[01:21] Rhiannon Dragoone: She's better, but was exhausted today
[01:21] Wol Euler nods.
[01:21] Wol Euler: good, better is good.
[01:21] Wol Euler: how are you? it must be veyr stressful for you too
[01:21] Rhiannon Dragoone: I was exhausted today too.
[01:21] Wol Euler nods.
[01:22] Rhiannon Dragoone: I held my discussion, did some target practice and watched movies. Not a productive day *at all*
[01:22] Rhiannon Dragoone: Well, except I had a nice grouping in target shooting
[01:22] Wol Euler grins.
[01:22] Wol Euler: that sounds veyr productive.
[01:23] Wol Euler: productive of usefulness and enjoyment
[01:23] Rhiannon Dragoone: yes, all thirty rounds on the target and a good grouping of 15 around the bulls-eye
[01:23] Wol Euler: well done :)
[01:23] Rhiannon Dragoone: ty. It's not easy on a 2 1/2 in barrell.
[01:23] Wol Euler: I'll stay near you when the zombie apocalypse comes
[01:23] Rhiannon Dragoone: lol
[01:24] Rhiannon Dragoone: yeah, here I prefer a bow and arrow, as you havae unlimited arrows in your quiver.
[01:24] Wol Euler nods.
[01:24] Wol Euler: I can't decide whether that is a weakness of combat games or not
[01:24] Rhiannon Dragoone: But I practiced with a speed loader; can shoot 10 rounds as fast with a revolver as with a semi-auto.
[01:24] Wol Euler: I tend to think it's just a feature, like using the mouse instead of your biceps
[01:24] Wol Euler: wow :)
[01:26] Rhiannon Dragoone: And I prefer revolvers; well, first, I use a .357 and you can't get penetration with a 9mm.
[01:26] Rhiannon Dragoone: Better if you run into a bear
[01:27] Wol Euler: would any pistol really stop a bear?
[01:27] Rhiannon Dragoone: oh, yes.
[01:27] Rhiannon Dragoone: .257 magnum was designed to stop anyting that walks in No. America. In Alaska, they use a .44 Magnum, and the .50 caliber--jeez. But it's too heavy a gun for me.
[01:28] Rhiannon Dragoone: *357
[01:28] Wol Euler: O.O
[01:28] Rhiannon Dragoone: A .357 is like a 9mm, nly weighted and with special pressure and load to penetrate. It can take out an engine block.
[01:29] Wol Euler laughs.
[01:29] Wol Euler: dear gods.
[01:29] Rhiannon Dragoone: Only Level II kevlar can protect against it.
[01:29] Rhiannon Dragoone: oh, ty!
[01:33] Wol Euler: coincidence: I was reading an article in a New Yorker recently about a guy who started a company to make a new kind of body armour, better than kevlar
[01:33] Rhiannon Dragoone: oh, really?
[01:33] Wol Euler: lighter and more bendy, so it can be more easily put into normal clothes, but better stopping power
[01:33] Rhiannon Dragoone: Kevlar is really hot.
[01:33] Rhiannon Dragoone: oh, that would be good.
[01:33] Wol Euler: let me see if I can find that
[01:34] Rhiannon Dragoone: I have a kevlar vest, but it makes me look pregnant.
[01:34] Wol Euler: http://www.newyorker.com/reporting/2...26fa_fact_owen
[01:35] Wol Euler: that's just an abstract, non-subscribers have to wait a few weeks for it to drop into the free area
[01:36] Rhiannon Dragoone: It's interesting
[01:36] Wol Euler: it was :) I love the New Yorker, they specialize in writing well about odd things
[01:36] Rhiannon Dragoone: Yes, hey do; and I like the cartoons.
[01:36] Wol Euler: things that if you asked me without showing me the article, I'd have said "I have no interest in that"
[01:37] Wol Euler: but then you read it, and it#s fascinating.
