Lucinda Lavender: Hi all
Paradise Tennant: Hiya Luci :)
Paradise Tennant: what should we talk of tonight?
Lucinda Lavender: will be a listener for the moment...
Paradise Tennant: hmm I have a dream all written down ..kind of disjointed ..
Ewan Bonham: Listening..
Lucinda Lavender: Yay!!!
Paradise Tennant: smiles so seldom remember my dreams
Lucinda Lavender: listening...
Paradise Tennant: was at a business dinner function in a hotel .....I had helped organize it .. a speaker was giving a talk
Paradise Tennant: one of the gentleman there had to leave and I got up to show him out
Paradise Tennant: we walked out of the room and into these long corridors
Paradise Tennant: that were under renovation some of them very dark very dusty
Paradise Tennant: he was very elderly which was why I got up to help him. I was getting worried we had somehow gotten lost
Paradise Tennant: eventually another man joined us and steered us to the elevators ...
Paradise Tennant: we got down to the lobby and .. I wanted to see the elderly man to his car
Paradise Tennant: because it seemed we were in a different tower I was not sure he would end up in the right parking lot
Paradise Tennant: the second person .. insisted I could not ..
Paradise Tennant: he had to go .. on his own
Paradise Tennant: told me that he was the former head of Kraft industries and it was his time to go ..
Paradise Tennant: watched as he walked out of the door into pitch black .. kind of wet night
Paradise Tennant: was worried and concerned but he turned and waved at me smiled .. and then stepped out .sort of got swallowed
Paradise Tennant: strange dream
Lucinda Lavender: Hi san...Para is telling a dream:)
Santoshima Resident: good evening
Santoshima Resident: ok
Paradise Tennant: Hiya san
Santoshima Resident: I caught the last part of it
Santoshima Resident: Hiya
Ewan Bonham: Hi San
Santoshima Resident: Hey Ewan
Ewan Bonham: Hi Tess
Santoshima Resident: Hi Tess!
Tess Aristocrat: Hello you all ㋡
Lucinda Lavender: HI Tess...
Lucinda Lavender: Para has just told her dream
Tess Aristocrat: oh!
--BELL--
Paradise Tennant: Hiya Tess
Ewan Bonham: Para...how do you now handle the dream discussion?
Paradise Tennant: hmm well I guess if anyone has comments we talk a bit or if anyone remembers another dream or has one they think of often ?
Ewan Bonham: Hmmm...your dream..
Ewan Bonham: Reminded ,,oops...
Santoshima Resident: brb
Lucinda Lavender: sent copies to san and Tess
Ewan Bonham: OK....
Paradise Tennant: smiles thanks Luci was just going to
Ewan Bonham: I was saying that it reminded me of parts of my character that I could shed..L
Ewan Bonham: Even if I cannot ..'let go'...:)
Lucinda Lavender: which character Luci wonders
Ewan Bonham: Oh...parts of me that are no longer of use..
Lucinda Lavender: :)
Paradise Tennant: smiles and listens
Ewan Bonham: Once they are ready to go, it is easier on me to let them shed off naturally.
Ewan Bonham: My taking them off is actually a form of attachment..
Lucinda Lavender: it takes a certain amount of trust to allow someone/thing to go off
Lucinda Lavender: into the unknown
Paradise Tennant: interesting how we end up with redundant parts :)
Santoshima Resident: *
Ewan Bonham: Yes...like shedding skins..
Santoshima Resident: luminous flux
Paradise Tennant: do you feel lighter when you let go of an old part Ewan ?
Ewan Bonham: Yes, I do...
Lucinda Lavender: the corridors were under renovation...
Tess Aristocrat: brb..relog
Ewan Bonham: Some may say from the absence...but I think it is from the taking away attachment..
Paradise Tennant: often not really sure what makes up "me" .. where the dividing line is
Santoshima Resident: [ quietly slipping out of the circle ] thanks, goodnight all
Lucinda Lavender: night Sant
Ewan Bonham: Bye San
Paradise Tennant: sweet dreams sna
Paradise Tennant: san
--BELL--
Paradise Tennant: what parts of our character can we shed happily ?
Paradise Tennant: ego is the obvious on ...
Paradise Tennant: just difficult to do
Ewan Bonham: Yes...only bits at a time...:)
Paradise Tennant: grinding away at it ..sort of a sanding process :)
Ewan Bonham: Smile ...yes
Paradise Tennant: if we put up with the friction .. we end up smoother
Ewan Bonham: Nice symbolism..
Paradise Tennant: in Buddhism and Bon ..you clean and cook for others as a way of minimizing your ego
Ewan Bonham: I must excuse myself for a bit..:)
Paradise Tennant: by that method .. I guess all the world's mothers gain grace
Paradise Tennant: nite nite Ewan
Lucinda Lavender: maybe the action of choosing what you will attend to brings the smoother surface...
Paradise Tennant: yes focus is important
Lucinda Lavender: thinking about cooking I have recently done...feeling good because it worked out well...
Lucinda Lavender: an offering of sorts
Paradise Tennant: smiles yes an offering of thanks for the now .. the bliss of this day :)
Lucinda Lavender: and of the year
Paradise Tennant: what did you make ?
Lucinda Lavender: 3 pies and sweet potatoes
Lucinda Lavender: and rolls
Paradise Tennant: hmm what kind of pies ?
Lucinda Lavender: took all day yesterday...but there was nothing else I had to do
Paradise Tennant: nice
Lucinda Lavender: one pumpkin with gluten free crust, on fresh pumpkin with half and half and regular crust, and one pecan
Paradise Tennant: sigh .. all the way up the decadence chain
Lucinda Lavender: :)))
Paradise Tennant: such a nice thing dinner together
Lucinda Lavender: for those who grew up with an out house it was food where they were able to create special things
Lucinda Lavender: hard work by the mothers in the kitchen I think...
Paradise Tennant: yes lots of hard work
Lucinda Lavender: not that hard maybe but...they worked at it
Lucinda Lavender: so I have the feeling we are helping keep memories alive
--BELL--
Paradise Tennant: yes ..there is a continuity of action of thought of love
Paradise Tennant: all good
Lucinda Lavender: yes
Lucinda Lavender: I threw in a new recipe...as is my style
Lucinda Lavender: but it was well received
Lucinda Lavender: so it worked ...love wise
Paradise Tennant: ?
Paradise Tennant: what new one
Lucinda Lavender: the fresh pumpkin with half and half
Lucinda Lavender: pumpkin
Paradise Tennant: sounds rich and creamy
Lucinda Lavender: yes
Lucinda Lavender: like love
Lucinda Lavender: remember love
Paradise Tennant: yes there is tangible richness to love .it makes you bigger does it not
Lucinda Lavender: :)))
Lucinda Lavender: certainly does
Lucinda Lavender: wb Tess
Paradise Tennant: smiles Hiya Tess we are talking of high calorie love
Lucinda Lavender: :)
Tess Aristocrat: ohhhh
Tess Aristocrat: yes...well, we must find love where we can
Tess Aristocrat: ㋡
Lucinda Lavender: sometimes I could be happy with a TV dinner
Tess Aristocrat: hehe..me too
Tess Aristocrat: or a bowl of cereal
Paradise Tennant: yes have been working longer hours and reheating is a great option
Tess Aristocrat: or a cup of tea
Lucinda Lavender: Garrison Keillor talked of yes...
Lucinda Lavender: he spoke of it on the Splendid Table this morning...during Turkey Confidential
Paradise Tennant: splendid table ..like the sound of that
Lucinda Lavender: seemed to see that we are headed toward more TV dinners
Paradise Tennant: Hiya stev
Lucinda Lavender: Hi Steve

Lucinda Lavender: he dared to speak of TV dinners to the host...quite interesting
stevenaia Michinaga: as do I
Tess Aristocrat: lol
Lucinda Lavender: it is a Saturday afternoon show for Seattle
Tess Aristocrat: Well, he is quite the comic
Lucinda Lavender: somehow I heard sadness or having let go of the attachment to the feast for the moment
Lucinda Lavender: with our world as it is...
Lucinda Lavender: just interesting...
Lucinda Lavender: On Thanksgiving there will be a call in show with the Spendid Tables Host Lynn...
Lucinda Lavender: how to deal with the details of thanksgiving'
Lucinda Lavender: deal
--BELL--
Tess Aristocrat: ah..
Paradise Tennant: can be a stressful time for some people
stevenaia Michinaga: for some, relatives can do that
Lucinda Lavender: nodding...
Paradise Tennant: would be nice exercise to go round and just talk about one thing we are thankful for
Lucinda Lavender: sure:)
stevenaia Michinaga: a good day for thankful tales
stevenaia Michinaga: I am thankful my cat just joined me at the computer and lays between my arms as I type with his paw and head on my arm
stevenaia Michinaga: purring

Tess Aristocrat: yes
Lucinda Lavender: I thought about it this morning...and of course there are my family members but for me 'music in my family" and access to it.
Paradise Tennant: smiles you are all about harmony Luci :)
Lucinda Lavender: very "spiritual" thing for me...causes awe
Tess Aristocrat: nods.. ㋡
Paradise Tennant: thinks we should let awe shape our lives
Paradise Tennant: what really moves us .. should lead us
Lucinda Lavender: but when the sweet potatoes came out ok they was awe there too:)
Tess Aristocrat: ㋡
Lucinda Lavender: we work toward an awe inspiring foffering
Lucinda Lavender: offering
Lucinda Lavender: :0
Lucinda Lavender: :)
Tess Aristocrat: *wonders who drank her tea...
Lucinda Lavender: could it be goldilocks?

Tess Aristocrat: shivers...
--BELL--
Paradise Tennant: what is black friday shopping
stevenaia Michinaga: insanity
Tess Aristocrat: nods..
stevenaia Michinaga: never experienced it
Tess Aristocrat: Me either..
Lucinda Lavender: Luci is taking this opportunity to drop the idea of black friday shopping( shopping as early as possible the friday after Thanksgiving)
Tess Aristocrat: It's the day after Thanksgiving, Para
stevenaia Michinaga: when people shop
Tess Aristocrat: supposedly a big sale day, etc..
Paradise Tennant: do you have a four day weekend
Tess Aristocrat: People literally lose their minds over it..camping out in the store parking lot!
Lucinda Lavender: yes 4 day weekend
Tess Aristocrat: nods
Paradise Tennant: nice !
Tess Aristocrat: ㋡
Lucinda Lavender: some store will open at midnight
Lucinda Lavender: I think
Lucinda Lavender: pretty serious...
Lucinda Lavender: for some
Tess Aristocrat: Oh, I know..I would advise everyone to stay home.
Paradise Tennant: smiles ...
Paradise Tennant: always a good plan to stay home
Tess Aristocrat: If nothing else, than in protest of the stores making their employees work all night when they could be with their families
Paradise Tennant: yikes
Lucinda Lavender: I have to say tho...I like to go out on christmas eve...and be amidst the bustle of shoppers getting ready to deliver their gifts...I feel it is a special moment...the gifts are about to be given....the moment seems ripe with giving
Tess Aristocrat: yes
Lucinda Lavender: maybe I feel the energy of all gifts of all time...
Paradise Tennant: yes ..really like everything about xmas
Tess Aristocrat: I am tired of putting the tree up...
Tess Aristocrat: is that a bad thing?
Paradise Tennant: smiles my dad had one he kept in a big bag and would just put in the cupboard with the bag on and at xmas take it out and take the bag off :)
Paradise Tennant: instant tree
Tess Aristocrat: lol
Lucinda Lavender: ha ha!
Lucinda Lavender: love the intelligence of it
Tess Aristocrat: it's a guy thing.. lolll
Paradise Tennant: yes think it was a guy thing
Tess Aristocrat: Sometimes I wouldn't mind doing just that
Tess Aristocrat: ㋡
Lucinda Lavender: maybe this is your year to try it...
Tess Aristocrat: Heh!
Tess Aristocrat: It would never work.. :D
Lucinda Lavender: maybe every permutation of the the image of the right way is just as valid...
Paradise Tennant: yes
--BELL--
Tess Aristocrat: *hangs large poster of lit tree on wall ㋡
stevenaia Michinaga: night all
Lucinda Lavender: :)))
Paradise Tennant: think maybe our expectations are .. raised at this time of the year ..we want perfection ..
Tess Aristocrat: night ㋡
Paradise Tennant: nite nite stev ...:) thank you
stevenaia Michinaga: enjoy your travels
Lucinda Lavender: night steve the beautiful...
Paradise Tennant: I should go too .. still have chores and have an early morning ..
Paradise Tennant: thank you lucinda tes ..happy thanks giving :)
Lucinda Lavender: bye to Paradise and Steve
Tess Aristocrat: night ㋡
Paradise Tennant: and happy black friday
Tess Aristocrat: giggles.
Lucinda Lavender: night and sweet dreams Para and Steve
Lucinda Lavender: I had a dream this morning about a lovely pink diamond
Lucinda Lavender: I compared it to other stones and had to say it gave off the most beautiful and pure pink light
Tess Aristocrat: ㋡
Lucinda Lavender: well maybe I shall go too...
Tess Aristocrat: I had a dream the other night of something..
Lucinda Lavender: do you want to say more? listens attentively
Tess Aristocrat: and in the middle of it there was some reference, some sort of object that was also in SL
Lucinda Lavender: interesting
Tess Aristocrat: can't recall exactly what it was at the moment, only that during the dream, I made a note of that..
Tess Aristocrat: I said to myself during the dream .."oh, I'm dreaming of SL
Lucinda Lavender: awareness...
Tess Aristocrat: More and more I'm aware of my dreams, at least on some level
Lucinda Lavender: SL does feel like a dream too...
Lucinda Lavender: at times
Tess Aristocrat: and yes, at times..probably not all the time
Lucinda Lavender: do you write them down?
Tess Aristocrat: The dreams I remember..those are usually the ones
Tess Aristocrat: no..do you?
Lucinda Lavender: yes...most...since 1987
Lucinda Lavender: ask me what happened in a certain year I will not remember that tho
Lucinda Lavender: I have recorded them because someone suggested I do that
Tess Aristocrat: Do you find yourself in your dreams saying "Oh, here I am..dreaming again"
Lucinda Lavender: sometimes
Tess Aristocrat: nods ㋡
Tess Aristocrat: it's better when you can become more actively involved in what happens
Lucinda Lavender: I think watching the dream is fine too...the awareness of being in the dream is one thing...the witnessing of an image is what I find interesting to look at... the object...that shows in both worlds
--BELL--
Tess Aristocrat: nods..I've had dreams where I've watched them go by as well..
Lucinda Lavender: I mainly look at "What is showing up here...."
Tess Aristocrat: I have really vivid dreams
Lucinda Lavender: giving space to the story
Lucinda Lavender: yes I remember that
Tess Aristocrat: and sometimes I think I must be the one that keep them going..as they are like full length movies or something
Lucinda Lavender: hello Bell...I did not forget you:)
Tess Aristocrat: Some I look at with a bit of caution..just in case
Tess Aristocrat: when I dream of people I do know
Tess Aristocrat: I always listen to people on TV programs when they talk about dream analysis
Lucinda Lavender: ah....
Lucinda Lavender: and what do you think?
Tess Aristocrat: I don't really think you can pidgeonhole it that easily
Lucinda Lavender: nodding
Tess Aristocrat: I think it varies from person to person
Lucinda Lavender: yes
Tess Aristocrat: for one person to dream of a horse may mean one thing and something totally different to someone else
Lucinda Lavender: yes
Tess Aristocrat: Dreams are personal..we can only find the secrets they hold by looking inward ㋡
Lucinda Lavender: inward is one way ... I was exposed to teaching about dreaming in which it was a different view....inward is true part of the time and something outside as well...and perhaps the whole world has an influence upon the dream...
Tess Aristocrat: I don't know..there are just so many things I still have to learn ㋡
Lucinda Lavender: this is because of learning to see that we get access to others dreams as well
Lucinda Lavender: did you see my im?
