    Bleu: hey Yaku
    Bleu: hi Eliza
    Yaku: hey bleu :)
Eliza Madrigal: Morning Bleu, Yaku, Samúð
Samúð: ☆*¨¨*:•.•:*¨* hallo hello hi holla *¨¨*:•.•:*¨*☆
    Bleu: hi Sam
    Yaku: hi sam :)
Eliza Madrigal: hmm.... we seem to be covering/occupying the hall lately...
Bleu: I can only stay a few minutes, so if there are any questions about AofB ...
    Bleu: hi Korel, Bruce
    Korel Laloix: osiyo
    Bleu: hi Eos

Bruce skates through the room, then through walls, and offline...

Eliza Madrigal: Hi Korel, um... Bruce?, Hi Eos :)
Eliza Madrigal: Thanks for letting us know Bleu, I'll flip the order of suggested agenda :))
    Bleu: thanks Eliza
Eos Amaterasu: Hi Eliza, Sam, Korel, Bleu, Yak, Bruce?
    Samúð: Eos :)
Eliza Madrigal: :) Bruce's skates seem to have carried him away
    Bleu: ha ha
Eos Amaterasu: (picking a seat here is like playing Go :-)
    Eliza Madrigal: !
    Bleu: hi Bertrum
    Eliza Madrigal: Hi Bertrum
    Eos Amaterasu: Hi Bertrum
    Bertrum: hi everyone
    Samúð: being going?
Eliza Madrigal: and going, and going, and going ... while stopping?
    Eliza Madrigal: Hi Bruce :)
    Eliza Madrigal cheers
    Bruce: Good day!
    Bleu: hey Bruce :)
Samúð: ☆*¨¨*:•.•:*¨* hallo hello Osiyo hi holla *¨¨*:•.•:*¨*☆

Bleu: I had a sneak peek at your ice sculpture .... very nice!
    Bruce: oh, thanks!
Bruce: I've taken it down again.
Bleu: curious to see everyone's starting Dec 1
    Bruce: waiting for another inspiration.
    Bleu: :)
Eliza Madrigal: Just a few days away
    Bruce: :)
    Bleu: upon reflection
Samúð: just around the corner Bruce ;)
    Bruce: yeppers.
Bruce: I'll be carving another one this afternoon, perhaps.
    Bleu: great!

Eliza Madrigal: So you must be feeling confident, Bruce
    Bruce: more like 'manic,' Eliza....
    Bleu: ha ha!
    Eliza Madrigal: hehe,,, fine lines
    Bruce: Hey, Zen.
    Eliza Madrigal: Hi Zen :)
    Bleu: hi Zen
    Samúð: "magic Eliza"
Eliza Madrigal: do those who have a sense that they know what they are doing, mind observers?
    Zen: Hi all
    Samúð: Zen :)
    Bleu: observers always welcomed
Eliza Madrigal: I'm pretty confident of being able to enjoy the ice skating part but do intend a simple project

Eliza Madrigal: Any questions for Bleu ?
Bleu: inspiration may be helped once we see Storm's ice palace :)
    Eliza Madrigal: :)) yay
Bruce: You're welcome to observe me -- the only problem is that most of the carving is done in another application (poser and Vue) - - then it's just a matter of importing images and putting those on prims as textures....
    Eliza Madrigal: ooohhh
    Bruce: yeah.
Bleu: Bruce is other worldly talented!
    Samúð: :)
    Eliza Madrigal smiles
    Bruce: ;-)
Eliza Madrigal: we are not hiding talents under bushel baskets
    Bruce: multi-universed
Zen: I just built something simple
    Bleu: me too
Zen: we don't have to sculpt do we?
    Eliza Madrigal: oh suure
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Eliza Madrigal: good opportunity to learn
Bleu: can definitely use simple prims ... no need to use sculpties or other programs
Samúð waits for impermanence to give rise to Zen Art project with lots of complexity and talking ;)
    Bleu: :)
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
    Zen: Zen would be simple
    Samúð: lOL
    Zen: simpler the better
Eliza Madrigal: thanks also for sharing Storm's building tips via the email group 0

Bruce: well, 0, the thing about ice sculpture is that you only have to wait for summer . . . (presto impermanence).
    Zen: :)
    Eliza Madrigal: :)))
    Samúð: thanks Storm!
Bleu: yes, thanks Sam ... can always learn from Storm!
    Samúð melts
    Zen: everytrhing crumbles
Eliza Madrigal: If no further thoughts, questions about Art of Being (session Dec 11th?) we can begin to move toward the topics topic...
    Zen: just takes longer
Bleu: AofB session Sunday Dec 11 at noon slt
Eliza Madrigal: yay, will be so lovely
Samúð: just Thanks.. Bleu Storm.. everybody
    Eliza Madrigal: Thank you
Bleu: can begin installing sculptures Dec 1
    Samúð: 1, 11, 11:11
Bleu slips out quietly ... thanks everyone!
    Yaku: bye bleu
Eliza Madrigal: :) Thank you Bleu, enjoy the day
    Samúð: best install times..1:11, and 11:11 ;)
    Bruce: TY, Bleu!
    Zen: bye Bleu
    Eliza Madrigal: haha..
    Samúð: ty Bleu

Eliza Madrigal: Well, re the topics, I heard from Pema who would actually like to have a kind of theme session about this....
    Bruce: Hey, Xir.
    Samúð: Xirana :)
    Xirana: hello everyone:)
    Zen: Hi Xirana :)
Eliza Madrigal: Hi Xirana :)) sorry to miss your opening yesterday (grandfather visit) but looking forward to seeing today
Xirana: np Eliza... not a lot of new works:)) you've seen it yet:)
    Zen: I saw it...was great :)
    Xirana: thanks Zen :)
Eliza Madrigal: we're beginning to discuss the idea for a topic board and list, for guardians to draw from when they'd like to focus a session
Eliza Madrigal: the idea is not to have it as a 'rule' but a resource
    Zen: good idea
    Xirana: oh! good idea:)
Eliza Madrigal: This sprang from a session in which some guardians mentioned a sort of 'longing' to return to focus
Eliza Madrigal: actually, a few sessions
Zen: yeh nice to have a focus
Eliza Madrigal: while also appreciating that we're often chatty because as a group we're so close and want to know about one another's daily lives, etc
Eliza Madrigal: so there is a balance :)

Korel Laloix: But our daily lives are rich in topics, we just have to follow those.
    Eliza Madrigal: often very true
Zen: but there is a kind of overall spiritual aim in pab too?

Eliza Madrigal: there are explorations and pab constants that are a little lost in the mix that there is a desire to reaquaint with
Xirana: I usually like spontaneous topics... but it's also good to have a list if someone wants to focus in one
    Eliza Madrigal: right, both

Samúð: I feel torn with this.. I like the idea of letting space, and spontaneity decide, and yet that sometimes seems a que for either silence or friendly chat.. Would be nice to use space to discover somethings about reality, so that a kind of prescription board would not feel to push agenda..

    Eos Amaterasu: http://wiki.playasbeing.org/Frequently_Asked_Questions/Vocabulary_of_Play_As_Being
    Eliza Madrigal: yes

    Zen: can silence be tolerated?

Eliza Madrigal: Thank you Eos. On this note, oO0Oo has begun to unpack a few of these terms so that they don't seem coded...
Eliza Madrigal: and also for new visitors who do often arrive with some desire to know 'ideas' behind the group, etc
Eliza Madrigal: Hope so Zen :))
    Zen: like meditation?
Zen: we have had short meditations sometimes
Eos Amaterasu: joy and pain can both be present in silence, so both enjoyment and tolerance
Zen: depends who is there I guess

Samúð: the edge of space, needing to fill space.. space can be so informative.. and allowing it is wonderful.. for me.. I think consideration of the page Eos linked could help people work with the space more toward PaB view..
Eliza Madrigal: a topic board that included silence or a longer meditation as option of topic, could be an aid toward offering that/engaging that way sometimes
    Eliza Madrigal nods 0
    Zen: nods
Eliza Madrigal: there is a chance for added continuity in sessions by having a grab bag too... and could be rotated possibly
Eliza Madrigal: so not a long list but a short list, that changes?

Zen: silence is so rare these days
Zen: people are afraid of it

Korel Laloix: An item that specifially forbided the onigoco dance thing could also be good.
    Eliza Madrigal: hahah
    Zen: :)
    Xirana: hahaha
    Xirana: :)
    Samúð rummages for onigokko
Eliza Madrigal: that's what happens, sigh, it is saying 'don't think of an elephant'
    Eliza Madrigal: :))
    Zen: onigokko deprivation
    Yaku: :)

Eliza Madrigal: Last night at Pema's session we engaged in pausing while also in the talking/listening of the session
Eliza Madrigal: the pauses are meant to sort of cultivate this less separation of 'meditation' and daily life?
    Zen: yes
Eliza Madrigal: that's the kind of thing that it is nice to come back to, and share about sometimes
Eliza Madrigal: 'why' are we doing this pausing thing? :)

    Zen: meditation spillover into life

Eliza Madrigal: Pema's availability while in Japan is limited but he suggested a 1pm session to share and brainstorm more about this too, including as many as possible timezones

Eos Amaterasu: explicitly pausing is a form of "lipstick on sunyata" (Ann Waldman's phrase: sunyata = openness)
Korel Laloix: What do you mean by that?
    Eliza Madrigal: !
Eos Amaterasu: nice to have traces of lipstick remaining...
    Eliza Madrigal: :))

Samúð: [08:32] Korel Laloix: What do you mean by that?

Eos Amaterasu: Korel, I mean that in principle, or in theory, it's unnecessary, but as we find in the 99 days pages, being explicity is really helpful too
Eos Amaterasu: things as they are don't need extra decoration, but a practice such as Play as Being is actually extra decoration, but it could also be "celebration", so to speak
Eos Amaterasu: like celebrating silence in words :-)
Korel Laloix: OH OK... I think I undertand now.

Samúð: So if we were more constantly 'aware', we might not need a technique? I s that sort of it?
Zen: could be seen as a subtraction
    Eliza Madrigal: yes, listens...
    Zen: an allowing back
Zen: allowing mind chatter to subside
Eliza Madrigal: that sounds as though that is what it would like to do :)
Korel Laloix: Darn RL.. hope to be back in a bit...
    Zen: bye Korel
Eliza Madrigal: bye for now Korel, lovely outfit :)
    Eos Amaterasu: ciao, K
Samúð thinks about the generousity of celebrators.. staying and benefitting practicers..
    Zen: Hi Steve
    Xirana: bye Korel:)
    Korel Laloix smiles
    Xirana: hi steve:)
Bruce: ok, Korel (Wow! What a gorgeous dress she has today!)

Eliza Madrigal: Hi Stevenaia, we're discussing topics, group continuity, silence and words as not two, and lipstick on sunyata
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
    stevenaia Michinaga: thx Eliza
Eos Amaterasu just saw A Week with Marilyn, which suggested lipstick
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Bruce: would "lip balm" work as well?
    Zen: Munroe?
    Eos Amaterasu: Monroe, yes
    Eliza Madrigal giggles Bruce
    Bruce loves options.

Eliza Madrigal: :) OK, speaking of options, are there specific themes or topics that come to mind for anyone, that they'd like to see 'on the list'
    Eliza Madrigal: ?
Bruce: So . . . back to focus - - I think the idea of a suggestions board at the Pavilion is great -- but who would make those suggestions, update them, etc?
    stevenaia Michinaga: list?
    Zen: all of us?
Eliza Madrigal: Boxy was actually considering ideas for the board, and yes the idea I think, would be to have a few different lists... of topics that we'd compile in sessions like this one and also in theme session for instance Wed
Bruce: I'd hope so, Zen. . . but then, someone needs to be in charge of posting and updating (building, etc.)

Eliza Madrigal: drawing from the Vocab of PaB link Eos shared and that Sam is helping to unpack

Eliza Madrigal: yes we really should keep it simple for that reason
Eliza Madrigal: so once we compile a 'list' that's it for a while for the compiling part...

Samúð: Maybe the 'ap' couls scrape entries or urls from a wiki page that we can all add to and edit?
Eos Amaterasu: yes, a wiki page seems like the right collaborative form
    Samúð: *app, *could
stevenaia Michinaga: or perhaps a suggested rotating list if we can't come up with a topic for the next 90 seconds to meditate on
Zen: thinks sublists would arise from list
Eos Amaterasu: pick from a hat
stevenaia Michinaga: likes the hat "app"

Eliza Madrigal: :) there was an idea for a box, but someone felt that it would be clearer for visitors to have a board of some sort
    Zen: yes
Eos Amaterasu: I think it's also okay for a guardian of a session to, for example, have a tablet/notecard with a suggested theme/framing, to hand out....
    Eliza Madrigal nods
Eliza Madrigal: the main thing is not to add to the guardians responsibilities but to give resources
    Zen: nods
Samúð likes thinking outside of the box.. and lucky dip grab bag settings for 90 secondss

Zen: would be good for new guardians too
    Eliza Madrigal: yes
Zen: seems to be a hurdle to actually take a session sometimes
Eliza Madrigal: often the sessions in which we've gone into something that seemed like 'nothing much' on the surface, end up being so satisfying
    Zen: yes
Eliza Madrigal: think so Zen? that people may not feel confident?
Zen: often talks about 'nothing much'
    Zen: yes
Eliza Madrigal: so the 'list' would be a helper

Samúð feels that pavlovian pavilion bell feeling ;)
    Zen: yes
    Eliza Madrigal: :))
    Zen: :)
    Eliza Madrigal: (8:45ish ding)
    Bruce salivates.
    Eliza Madrigal: hehehe
    Samúð: smacks of lipstick
    Zen: looks for food
    Eos Amaterasu: umm, tasty pellet
    Zen: hmmm
Coffee Mug whispers: Ahh! Fresh Hot Coffee
    Zen: not this dog :)
    Yaku: bye everyone
    Zen: bye Yaku
    Eliza Madrigal waves Yaku
    stevenaia Michinaga: bye Yaku
    Samúð: bye Yaku
    Xirana: bye Yaku:)
    Bruce: Bye, Yaku.

Eliza Madrigal: :) I guess before we go I'd like to remind everyone that the retreats discussion is beginning/has begun on a separate list, and that everyone is invited to take part
Eliza Madrigal: in planning the Summer 2012 retreat
    Samúð: ty
Zen: am I on the list?
Eliza Madrigal: hope so, have been writing to you
Eliza Madrigal: let me check, hehe
Zen: my spirit is willing but flesh is weak
Samúð: Zen, I'd like to know more about that.. could be in email or a meeting

Eliza Madrigal: OK there are two open invitations there, Zen and Sam
Eliza Madrigal: and otherwise 29 on the list
Eliza Madrigal: so a nice sized group

Eos Amaterasu: two google group invites unresponded to?
Zen: disability access is difficult for me
    Eliza Madrigal nods
Eliza Madrigal: Zen, I'd thought that there was a location you've used before.. nearby?

Xirana: Could you explain how can one do to go to the different groups, like this one of the retreats, or the PabCafe?...is there a link in the webite of Pab?
Samúð: So, Zen my main question is.. if you had help of some kind would it work possibly?
Zen: yeh but that is difficult too for more than a weekend
Eliza Madrigal: even if you decided you didn't want to attend the week, could be flexible with a few days, etc
    Zen: hmm yeh
Eliza Madrigal: Hi Xirana, it is a good question...

Eliza Madrigal: maybe we could have one page that showed options.. or added to the calendar of events page
Eos Amaterasu: Xirana, there is a google group for people who have attended RL retreats.... it's open also to people interested in future retreats... Eliza can add you
Zen: I was on the old SL retreats group
    Zen: is this different?
Eliza Madrigal: we've had lists also, for each of the individual retreats and also the SL retreats planning
Eliza Madrigal: yes this is different
Eliza Madrigal: now we'll have the guardian-retreats list
Xirana: I know Eos, I am in the group and also in Pabcafe, but I don't know where to find when I want to write something..only answering from another email

Zen: I don't know about pab Cafe
Xirana: it's an Informal email group for Pabbers Zen :)
Eos Amaterasu: hmm, yes, I usually hunt a previous message to get the right address (too many groups!)
Eliza Madrigal: that list started when people wanted to share recipes and play 'games' like 'where in the world'...
    Eliza Madrigal: (pab cafe)
Bruce: Xir, you could copy/paste the group's address and then compose your message -- and everyone in that group would see it.
Zen: well I never heard of it until yesterday

Eliza Madrigal: and some of us feel overwhelmed when there are a lot of emails that just say "OK' etc
Zen: can have too many groups too maybe
Zen: I am finding it confusing

Eliza Madrigal: :) we have quite a few people on the main list who keep up with pab who don't even attend sessions
Xirana: well.. that's what I have done, But I though it was possible to find in another way :)
Eliza Madrigal: so as much as it is confusing in some ways, we can't use the main list for everything or people simply tune out
Samúð: I think I have clicked on links to initiate involvement in email sub groups, but not received the emails :(
Bruce: Another thing, Xir, --- you can make a folder for specific groups in your email application. . . (I have at least ten individual PaB groups there).
Xirana: I agree with you Zen... but it's a way to not filll the email with a lot of messages for people in the group
    Zen: ten? wow
    Xirana: wow Bruce:))
Eliza Madrigal: yes so adding a list of groups to the calendar page or nearby might be a good idea :) with brief descriptions and directions of how to be added/taken off
    Zen: yes
Bruce: sure -- at least ten - - - including Original Face, Ways of Knowing, etc etc.
    Zen: ah I see
Eliza Madrigal hesitates to tell anyone how many lists she's on
    Eliza Madrigal: @@
    Xirana: :)
    Bruce: ;-)
    Eliza Madrigal: disturbing
Eliza Madrigal: don't like to look :)
Samúð: so long as it does not incur spam eh?
    Eliza Madrigal nods

Bruce: perhaps we could use a session for "dropping" of our lists for 90 seconds.
    Eliza Madrigal: heheh
    Zen: yes or deleting some
Zen: they fall out of use
    Bruce: ;-)
Eliza Madrigal: we must hold lists we choose lightly
    Bruce: noisy lists.
    Zen: liast attachment

Bruce: RL calls ---- Thank you, Eliza -- and everyone!
Eliza Madrigal: Bye Bruce, thanks, enjoy the day
    Samúð: Bruce :)
Zen: yes ty Eliza and everyone
    Eos Amaterasu: bye bruce
Xirana: bye bye Bruce, have a nice day:)
    Eliza Madrigal: Thanks everyone
    Zen: bye all
    Eos Amaterasu: ciao all, thnx!
    Xirana: bye all..:)
Eliza Madrigal: Will plan the theme session for Wed 1pm
    Xirana: ok:)
Eliza Madrigal: Eliza Madrigal: seems a good target, an OK time for Pema and it is Fef's session who has thoughts about these things so...
Eliza Madrigal: wow cleared out fast :)
Samúð: don't think fef will mind :)
    Eliza Madrigal: :))
Eliza Madrigal: stevie must be off doing dishes or laundry
stevenaia Michinaga: smiles, no aranging my day ahead
    Samúð appreciates Stevenaia's outfit
    Eliza Madrigal smiles
stevenaia Michinaga: warm for the winter
    Eliza Madrigal: 'to do' list?
    stevenaia Michinaga: not that long
    stevenaia Michinaga: :)
Eliza Madrigal: :) at the end of the day when one feels they didn't do what they set out to, it is fun to write what they did instead
Eliza Madrigal: it is a way of seeing how much is there, appreciation :)
stevenaia Michinaga: add Tai Chi to list
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
stevenaia Michinaga: I am always content even by what I put off to do tomorrow
stevenaia Michinaga: those are the special things
Eliza Madrigal: so good natured stevenaia
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
stevenaia Michinaga: see you later, enjoy your day
Eliza Madrigal: cat is a good influence
Eliza Madrigal: bye for now :)
    Samúð: :)
stevenaia Michinaga: yes, cat sleeps all day a good task
    Samúð: *purrs*
    stevenaia Michinaga: bye
