Bleu Oleander: have you seen the recent UWA exhibitions?
Storm Nordwind: No not yet - not had the opportunity. How are they?
Bleu Oleander: they have all the winners displayed from the past year
Storm Nordwind: Oh cool! That will be good. Any special reason for that?
Bleu Oleander: going to choose the grand prize winners in a few weeks
Storm Nordwind: Ah of course, I see
Bleu Oleander: so fun to look around
Bleu Oleander: I think about 70 works of art
Storm Nordwind: Need to set enough time aside to do so
Bleu Oleander: yes
Storm Nordwind: I wondered about entering but... ars longa vita brevis... I never seem to do so.
Bleu Oleander: me too
Bleu Oleander: next year maybe
Storm Nordwind: There will always be something.
Storm Nordwind: And in a way that's good

Appearance.

Yakuzza Lethecus: you look nice elegant bleu, but not as artistic as usual

Yakuzza Lethecus: maybe more like an artcollege teacher, instead of an artist :)
Yakuzza Lethecus: but really u look great bleu, sry, that just crossed my mind somehow :)
Storm Nordwind: I wonder if people expect us to look certain ways. Of course there's habit, but knowing what you do in advance and then meeting you for the first time.
Bleu Oleander: yes I find that's true
Yakuzza Lethecus: i hope nobody will ever expect me wearing a tux :P

Storm Nordwind: Of course people here expect me to have bad teeth, because I'm English, and are surprised when I don't! ;-)
Bleu Oleander: ha ha!
Storm Nordwind: Instead they are charmed by the accent, which is something else I wear without being able to change it much. :)

Reality.

Yakuzza Lethecus: today at work i was thinking on ,,how to find information about the reality we see ourselves and the reality in which others might see us
Yakuzza Lethecus: and how conflicts are created between these different concepts of ppl
Bleu Oleander: the best way to know about yourself is to ask others :)
Storm Nordwind: Yes asking is an oft forgotten but simple way
Bleu Oleander: often difficult for us to "see" ourselves
Storm Nordwind: Though we don't find out how they see us. Instead we find out how they would like us to think they see us! :)
Bleu Oleander: yes!!
Bleu Oleander: so amazing we see each other at all

Being messy.

Yakuzza Lethecus: well it´s for instance that i am a bit messy and conceptless in most of the things i am doing, and sometimes i ppl mentioned that i would do that intentional
Bleu Oleander: concepless?
Yakuzza Lethecus: well, when i am working on workpieces that i haven´t done or done in a long time i often don´t know how to start right and with which tools
Storm Nordwind: I used to get that kind of thing: "If you really cared about me/us/the project/etc you wouldn't do things that way"
Yakuzza Lethecus: which cuttingspeeds and wheels to set it
Storm Nordwind: You may be someone, like me, who learns by trying. Other people who work with you need to allow for your initial mistakes. People learn and work in different ways.
Yakuzza Lethecus: yes, ppl projecting negative intentionality into unintentional behavior and seing oneself in a strange situtation but even partially understandable in the framework of another person
Yakuzza Lethecus: hard to put in words
Storm Nordwind: I lived with someone like that. No more words needed! :))

Dissonance.

Storm Nordwind: Now you have me thinking... there is often a situation in a work environment, when our performance is appraised by our boss. It can be very difficult if that boss has does not have the wish or the capability to really understand you.
Yakuzza Lethecus: well, it´s not an issue with my boss even it´s about the frameworks in which a coworker might frames things and how dissonaces create conflict
Yakuzza Lethecus: well, wonder how to find literature on ,,as possibly exactly that issue"
Storm Nordwind: Dissonances can create conflict if people don't know each other's intentions, don't have a mutual common intention, or don't trust that the other will act in accordance with that common intention.
Yakuzza Lethecus: and actually sometimes i even think of myself a bit strange i have habits like opening the wrong drawer nearly everytime i want to grab something i use every day
Yakuzza Lethecus: somehow i open the wrong drawer first
Storm Nordwind: There are many ways of getting to the pub. The important thing is to drink when you get there! ;)

Storm Nordwind: No. Both time and inspiration seem to have dried up at the moment.
