    Wol Euler: especially on friday
Bleu Oleander: was not a girlscout :)
Wol Euler: well, I skipped the whole scouting experience too.
    Bleu Oleander: :)
Eliza Madrigal: hesitates to admit she was indeed a girlscout and always wore the right socks
Wol Euler: preparation is just my natural caution and pedantry, I guess
    Darren Islar: hi all
Alfred Kelberry: i was scouting a bit
    Bleu Oleander: very impressed Eliza
    Alfred Kelberry: it was fun
Eliza Madrigal: Hi Leapin :)) Ltns

    Darren Islar: hi Santos :)
    Santoshima Resident: hi everyone
    Santoshima Resident: checking the signage
Alfred Kelberry: woly! i know part of it (re: cheering) is the fact that in a 2 weeks time there will be the meet up! :)
Darren Islar: I'm glad to see you're nuts Wol :)
    Wol Euler: heheh
    Alfred Kelberry: san :)
Alfred Kelberry: me likes woly's boots

    Eliza Madrigal: wow
    Santoshima Resident: ak
Alfred Kelberry: um, too big :)
    Wol Euler: spiky :)
    Eliza Madrigal tucks in toes
    Santoshima Resident: i mean WOW!
    Alfred Kelberry: testing?
    Alfred Kelberry: not working?
Santoshima Resident: you could spearfish with those
Wol Euler: just adjusting the listener, never mind.
    Eliza Madrigal: hahah
    Alfred Kelberry: ah
Wol Euler: pay no attention to the avatar behind the curtain
Eliza Madrigal: the 6 am session didn't come to me though I recorded and claimed, but the 7a was fine
    Alfred Kelberry: *looks*
    Eliza Madrigal: *am
    Wol Euler: hmmm
Alfred Kelberry: i see no curtain avs
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
    Wol Euler: 6am today?
Eliza Madrigal: Maxine's Regarding Reality session
Bleu Oleander: how is that session?
Bleu Oleander: too early for me
    Wol Euler: was that here?
Eliza Madrigal: I think it is fantastic
    Eliza Madrigal: yes
Bleu Oleander makes note to read the log
Wol Euler: um, it was not recorded, there is no 6am in the database
Eliza Madrigal: I've been gathering the sessions onto one page
Eliza Madrigal: let me get the link, though I haven't added today's yet
Santoshima Resident: does it take place here at the pavilion?
    Eliza Madrigal: yes
Bleu Oleander: how long will it continue?
Wol Euler: this is a little bit worrying. I got a notice when I logged on that the listener had been restarted
Eliza Madrigal: It will take a break next week but I think will go on for a while yet
    Eliza Madrigal: http://wiki.playasbeing.org/PaB_Books/Regarding_Reality/Sessions%3a_Regarding_Reality
    Bleu Oleander: ty :)
    Santoshima Resident: thanks, eliza
Wol Euler: wow, I hadn't heard of that.
Eliza Madrigal: these are the sessions but Maxine's intro is well worth reading: http://wiki.playasbeing.org/PaB_Books/Regarding_Reality
Wol Euler: perhaps I'll be able to join in when it starts again
Eliza Madrigal: think so? would be great
Darren Islar: Liza walked over the pavilion at a weird time, yesterday or the day before, the listener started
Bleu Oleander: I may try also
Eliza Madrigal: the sessions have been quite warm, easy breezy feeling
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Bleu Oleander: although very dark at that time for me :)
Darren Islar: is that on the Friday Eliza, instead of time?
Eliza Madrigal: :)) yes exactly Darren
Darren Islar: Wol, you get a dry tongue doing that
    Wol Euler: heheheh
    Wol Euler: furballs!
    Bleu Oleander: ha!
Darren Islar: more pieces of dry box in your mouth
Darren Islar: ai.... I need to go again already
    --BELL--
    Yakuzza Lethecus: take care darren

Yakuzza Lethecus: do you also have to do the ai class test on tomorrow bleu ?
    Bleu Oleander: what class?
Bleu Oleander: oh the online class?
    Santoshima Resident: artificial intelligence?
    Yakuzza Lethecus: yes :)
Bleu Oleander: not doing the tests
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Bleu Oleander: the lite version only
    Wol Euler: low-fat education :)
    Eliza Madrigal: hahah
    Bleu Oleander: non-fat
    Eliza Madrigal: tailored to fit
Alfred Kelberry: um, wrong button :)
Alfred Kelberry: sorry, a bit distracted
Wol Euler admires Santo's wild hair
    Alfred Kelberry: agreed
    Alfred Kelberry: clicky you :P
Alfred Kelberry: woly, have you been at nationalpark hainich?
    Alfred Kelberry: purr
Wol Euler: nver heard of it
Alfred Kelberry: the canopy walk looks awesome!
    Alfred Kelberry: http://www.nationalpark-hainich.de/u...-walk-way.html
    Alfred Kelberry: half a km
    Eliza Madrigal: very pretty
    Alfred Kelberry: primeval forest
    Santoshima Resident: looks very beautiful
Wol Euler: oh, that's hours away from berlin though.
    Alfred Kelberry: yea
Wol Euler: it would take a whole day to get there and back
Alfred Kelberry: i'm thinking to make a trip there. off the meet up days.
    Wol Euler: ah :)
Wol Euler: looks great, it would certainly be worth seeing
Alfred Kelberry: yes, would be a waste for a weekend meeting
    Alfred Kelberry: i guess
Alfred Kelberry: but! something to consider for a week retreat next time :)
Wol Euler: sure, organize it :)
    Alfred Kelberry: :P
Wol Euler: the organizer gets to decide stuff like that
    Alfred Kelberry: oh, really?
    Alfred Kelberry: cool
Alfred Kelberry: me the organizer then. order around and stuff.
Wol Euler: sure, who did you think would organize the retreat, if not the organizer
    Santoshima Resident: :)
    Wol Euler: hello aph, zon
    Wol Euler: a & z, nice
    Santoshima Resident: hi aph
Alfred Kelberry: woly, bring these suitcases upstaires
    Bleu Oleander: hey Aph, Zon
    Alfred Kelberry: :)
    Alfred Kelberry: aph!
    Aphrodite Macbain: Hi
Eliza Madrigal: Hi Aphrodite, Hi Zon :)
    Alfred Kelberry: zon :)
    Santoshima Resident: hi zon :)
    Yakuzza Lethecus: hey zon
Aphrodite Macbain: Nice group of avis here
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
    Bleu Oleander: :)
Aphrodite Macbain: a warm place - it's cold outside
    Bleu Oleander: lovely here
Alfred Kelberry: *rubs aph's hand to warm them up*
Eliza Madrigal: warm and muggy here... has rained most of the day :)
    Aphrodite Macbain: aww. thanks alphie
    --BELL--
    Alfred Kelberry: :)
    Bleu Oleander likes boxy's bleu-box
    Alfred Kelberry: :)
Eliza Madrigal: :)) pedestal of bleu
    Wol Euler: heheh
    Bleu Oleander: ha!
Bleu Oleander: more comfortable as the pedestal not on it :)
Alfred Kelberry: also, a roboseat :)
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
    Eliza Madrigal: onigokko
    Alfred Kelberry: ha!
    Zon Kwan: sighs
    Eliza Madrigal: heheh
    Eliza Madrigal: stop
Bleu Oleander: sighs too, gotta love fridays
    Aphrodite Macbain: onigokko
Eliza Madrigal: so cute, Boxy :))
Santoshima Resident: mised that ... head down reading
Zon Kwan: cant we just be sad and serious
    Aphrodite Macbain: stop
    Wol Euler: ack
    Wol Euler: ah
Santoshima Resident: some folk are born for oniggoko, and some are not :)
    Alfred Kelberry: :)
    Alfred Kelberry: refreshing
    Aphrodite Macbain: :_)
Bleu Oleander: sad and serious... that's thursdays right?
Eliza Madrigal: :) onigokko is perhaps best for those of us who resist it
    Eliza Madrigal: hehhee
    Alfred Kelberry: sadly serious
    Santoshima Resident: so thursday :)
    Alfred Kelberry: seriously sad
    Bleu Oleander: :) Eliza
Alfred Kelberry: yep, friday is good
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Wol Euler: I'm curious about the desirableness of sad and serious?
    Zon Kwan: its fun
    Wol Euler: O.O
    Wol Euler: sad is fun?
Alfred Kelberry: woly, maybe it's related to the wish of being social and being alone?
Zon Kwan: makes one feel intellectual and important
Yakuzza Lethecus: i think we have to have the contrasts we can´t fill ourselves with just happyness and consumption
    Wol Euler: oh dear :)
    Eliza Madrigal: :) Yaku
Bleu Oleander: sad can be inspirational sometimes
    Wol Euler: agreed
    Eliza Madrigal: yes
    Eliza Madrigal: 'a good cry'
Alfred Kelberry: yaku, true. sadness is how we distinguish joyfulness.
Bleu Oleander: inspired a few paintings
Wol Euler: actually what Zon said is a common meme in western culture: happy people are presumed to be stupid and/or naive compared to sad ones
    Alfred Kelberry: hmm
    Eliza Madrigal: only western culture?
Wol Euler: well, I don't presume to speak for others; may well be universal
Alfred Kelberry: *thinks of enigmatically intellectual nick cave*:)
Eliza Madrigal: I think it is the 'overly happy' thing... smiley people very suspicious
    Eliza Madrigal: :))
Eliza Madrigal: <-- overly smiley generally
Alfred Kelberry: i'm not sure about desire for sadness, but i do have desire to be alone sometimes
    Zon Kwan: alone is peace
    Bleu Oleander: sometimes
Alfred Kelberry: yep, recharge your batteries
Alfred Kelberry: especially for introverted types :)
    Eliza Madrigal nods
    Santoshima Resident: yes !!
Wol Euler remembers Eliza's smiles from Halifax, and smiles. They were restorative
Eliza Madrigal: for the extroverted alone/quiet can be really hard
Alfred Kelberry: unlike extroverts they do not feed on social interaction
    Eliza Madrigal: ((((Wol))))))
Wol Euler: okay, but what does alone have to do with sad and serious?
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
    Zon Kwan: nothing
    Bleu Oleander: :)
    Wol Euler is puzzled.
Eliza Madrigal: usually when sad one doesn't seek to be around a lot of people
Wol Euler is trying to do too many things at once.
Alfred Kelberry: mmm, smiles from halifax. sounds like a title for a nice weirdly sad nick cave song :)
Bleu Oleander: what happend to misery loves company?
    Eliza Madrigal: good question
Wol Euler: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vxDATUU2L1I <- lovely sad Nick Cave song
Santoshima Resident: and, company loves a crowd :)
    --BELL--
    Zon Kwan: sad song yes
Bleu Oleander: sad song ... bookmarked for next time i'm sad :)
    Alfred Kelberry: me likes
Zon Kwan: but he seems to be enjoyuing it
    Wol Euler: oh yes, indeed
    Zon Kwan: the feeling
    Zon Kwan: of sadness
    Alfred Kelberry: i don't think it's sad
    Alfred Kelberry: it's beautiful
    Alfred Kelberry: sadly happy maybe...
    Zon Kwan: sadly beautiful
Bleu Oleander: we could have a sad song session
    Wol Euler smiles.
Bleu Oleander: everyone bring a song
Wol Euler: yes, good idea. we had a favourite songs session some time ago, two years maybe?
    Wol Euler: it was fun
Aphrodite Macbain wipes away a tear
    Eliza Madrigal: http://www.blackbookmag.com/tv/somet...ele-ok-1.41217
Zon Kwan: Sadness is emotional pain associated with, or characterized by feelings of disadvantage, loss, despair, helplessness, sorrow, and rage. When sad, people often become outspoken, less energetic, and emotional. Crying is an indication of sadness.
Santoshima Resident: alas, eliza, video removed from the viewer
    Eliza Madrigal: such a bummer...
Aphrodite Macbain: Sadness is usually the result of the awareness of loss
    Bleu Oleander: :(
Alfred Kelberry: it's like mark kozelek. a lot of folks think he's depressing, but he actually fills me with joy. not a jump and scream joy, but quiet and soothing one.
    Eliza Madrigal: nice point Aph
    Wol Euler nods.
    Alfred Kelberry: well said, aph
Aphrodite Macbain: loss of a variety of things
Bleu Oleander: maybe the result of extreme awareness
    Aphrodite Macbain: yes,
Alfred Kelberry: but also, a sense of new findings, no?
Aphrodite Macbain: depression, perhaps, comes when it is not reolved
    Aphrodite Macbain: resolved
Aphrodite Macbain: feeling of loss returns over and over again
    Alfred Kelberry: *nods*
Eliza Madrigal: part of the natural process of integration perhaps
    Aphrodite Macbain: yes. Inside work
Alfred Kelberry: me likes clarity of aph
    Alfred Kelberry: :)
    Aphrodite Macbain: me likes Alfred
    Alfred Kelberry: heh
Santoshima Resident: depression is a numbing, protection
Aphrodite Macbain: inwardlooking,a winter of the soul
Eliza Madrigal nods... I find a huge difference between sadness which seems like dealing with the things that cause depression
Aphrodite Macbain: then spreing eventually resurns
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Eliza Madrigal: found a working link
    Eliza Madrigal: http://jezebel.com/5859220/the-adele...g-in-your-soul
    Santoshima Resident: thanks!
Aphrodite Macbain: but not my spelling
Alfred Kelberry: aph, you're striking today again :)
Alfred Kelberry: "inwardlooking, a winter of the soul" - brilliant
    Aphrodite Macbain: blushes
    Eliza Madrigal: indeed beautiful
Wol Euler: yes, a tasty turn of phrase
Aphrodite Macbain: also described as the black dogs
Eliza Madrigal: sorry to be multitasking looking for the silly link :)
Bleu Oleander: gtg bye all :)
    Eliza Madrigal: or dementors
    Eliza Madrigal: Bye Bleu :))
    Aphrodite Macbain: Bye
    Aphrodite Macbain: Bye! bye bleu
Wol Euler: bye bleu, enjoy the weekend
Santoshima Resident: bye bleu, good to see you
    Aphrodite Macbain: demetors Eliza?
    Aphrodite Macbain: demntors?
    Aphrodite Macbain: dementors
Eliza Madrigal: that's what JKR calls depression in the harry potter books
    Wol Euler nods.
    Wol Euler: wb zon
Eliza Madrigal: cured by chocolate temporarily
Eliza Madrigal: but then requiring deep work
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Alfred Kelberry: ohhh! friday night lights! i haven't seen the movie, but the sound score is written by one of my fave bands. so wonderfully sad, you might say.
    Zon Kwan: thx
Aphrodite Macbain: how is it used? I have a dementor coming on?
Eliza Madrigal: no, they are are creatures described as 'draining all the hap;iness from the world'
    Aphrodite Macbain: what band?
    Aphrodite Macbain: ah. good word
    Aphrodite Macbain: like tormenters
    Eliza Madrigal: yes
    Aphrodite Macbain: demented tormenters
    Aphrodite Macbain: the fures
    Aphrodite Macbain: furies
Alfred Kelberry: aph, explosions in the sky
Aphrodite Macbain: as opposed to furries
    Santoshima Resident: funnee, ty eliza
Eliza Madrigal: :)Yw thought it was cute
Alfred Kelberry: eliza, creatures in harry potter books?
    Wol Euler: :)
    Wol Euler: demons, rathetr
Eliza Madrigal: to dispell them the skill learned was to conjur a deep happy memory.. (dementors)
Eliza Madrigal: Boxy, no dementors aren't cute...
Eliza Madrigal: the SNL skit was :)
Eliza Madrigal: and you were, running around in the pond... a happy memory sure to ward off dementors
    Eliza Madrigal giggles
    Wol Euler smiles.
Santoshima Resident: we need pictures! :)
    Alfred Kelberry: :)
    --BELL--
Aphrodite Macbain quietly giggles at the video
Aphrodite Macbain: I'm off to me new abode. See you all soon I hope
Eliza Madrigal: OH, APh... I saw your house... very cute
    Yakuzza Lethecus: bye aph

    Santoshima Resident: bye all
Eliza Madrigal: NIght Yaku and San
Wol Euler: goodnight all, take care
    Santoshima Resident: bye yaku
    Wol Euler: enjoy the wekeend
    Zon Kwan: waves to all
Eliza Madrigal: for some reason the power has been going off after hard rain pours here so if I poof that's it)
    Eliza Madrigal: Oh, bye Zon
Eliza Madrigal: I do love the rain though
Alfred Kelberry: someone asked for a pic
    Alfred Kelberry: http://up.keep.se/lake.jpg
    Alfred Kelberry: :)
    Alfred Kelberry: a random one
    Eliza Madrigal: beautiful!
Alfred Kelberry: from a walk 2 weeks ago
Eliza Madrigal: I wasn't sure if she meant of dementors or of boxy playing in fountain...was going to ask
    Wol Euler: nice
    Alfred Kelberry: heh
Eliza Madrigal: :) that's in your back yard Boxy??
    Alfred Kelberry: well, close :)
    Eliza Madrigal: *lovely*
    Alfred Kelberry: a short session
Alfred Kelberry: friday is a busy time, i guess
Eliza Madrigal: today for once I was trying not to push any topics and let friday be friday, hehehe
    Wol Euler smiles.
Alfred Kelberry: how did the experiment go? :)
    Eliza Madrigal: um
    Alfred Kelberry: frydish? :)
Eliza Madrigal: quite a mixture of topics today
    Wol Euler: mmhmm
Eliza Madrigal: with a bit of onigokko
    Alfred Kelberry: yep
Wol Euler: a good range, from silly ot serious and back again
Alfred Kelberry: *looks for other random pics*
Wol Euler: speaking of random pix, I think That Other Place needs a photo of Paranoid Man ... :)
    Alfred Kelberry: what place?
    Eliza Madrigal: me too... looking....hahaha
Eliza Madrigal: my camera isn't working so it is only on my phone
    Wol Euler: nevermind, boxy :)
Eliza Madrigal: and I cant seem to move pics from it...
    Wol Euler: awwww, boo
Eliza Madrigal: Paranoid Man is how my son went to school this morning, Boxy
    Wol Euler grins
Eliza Madrigal: he wore safety goggles, anti-bacterial wipes, a fan for heatstroke, garlic...
Eliza Madrigal: pillow on his back..
Wol Euler: / me grins broadly.
Eliza Madrigal: it was for "Super Hero" day
    Eliza Madrigal: heheheh
Eliza Madrigal: he is good at making statements, came home beaming so I suppose he received positive feedback
    Wol Euler smiles.
Wol Euler: good, glad to hear taht
    Eliza Madrigal: I was relieved
Eliza Madrigal: when he word the hug me cactus, they took it from him
    Wol Euler: o.O
Eliza Madrigal: so I always get nervous
    Alfred Kelberry: ahhh!
Eliza Madrigal: tell me about it
    Alfred Kelberry: gee, awesome
    Eliza Madrigal: :))
    Eliza Madrigal: he's inventive
Wol Euler: presumably because it was a dangerous weapon?
    Wol Euler: "might hurt somebody"
Eliza Madrigal: YES it covered his face and encouraged other kids toward mischeif
    Eliza Madrigal: *mischief
    Wol Euler: ah

    Alfred Kelberry: traditional dress?
Eliza Madrigal: my favorite dress of all time

    Eliza Madrigal: talk about sad
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
    Alfred Kelberry: aww
    Eliza Madrigal: South Miami
    Wol Euler nods.
Eliza Madrigal: it is funny to wonder how much we romanticize in memory
Alfred Kelberry: oh, eliza, you should do that picture thing!
    Alfred Kelberry: um...
    Wol Euler: yeh, really
Alfred Kelberry: oh yes! so true
Eliza Madrigal: such a small house compared with my memories
    Eliza Madrigal: :) Boxy
Eliza Madrigal: I could make an ice picture
    Eliza Madrigal: hahah
Eliza Madrigal: I did think it might be fun to hang RL pictures in an SL house and visa versa, and then take pics of that
Wol Euler: heh, yes, nice idea
Alfred Kelberry: the movies i awed at as a child looked kind of dull years later. it's better to keep them in the past, i guess :)
    Alfred Kelberry: oh yes, eliza
Eliza Madrigal: :) well or watch them with child's eyes
Wol Euler: Adams has a "life-sized" image of Adams Rubble on her desk at work :)
Alfred Kelberry: there's an artist in sl who does that sort of
    Eliza Madrigal: does she???
    Eliza Madrigal: haha. fantastic
Alfred Kelberry: wow, didn't know it
Eliza Madrigal wonders if the listener is still being stubborn

    Alfred Kelberry: huh?
Eliza Madrigal: the recording is working, Boxy
    Alfred Kelberry: ah
    Alfred Kelberry: good :)
Wol Euler: it sometimes isn't working.
Wol Euler: which is not good
Alfred Kelberry: this is how a-students sit
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Wol Euler was an a-student and usually slouched
Alfred Kelberry: i think it might be sl realted
    Alfred Kelberry: heh
Eliza Madrigal: ooh, restarts and such, or glitches
Eliza Madrigal: oh, wait... mixed persons talking
Eliza Madrigal: :) I used to do that as an experiment in PaB when I first came... wanting to see if I was influenced by 'people' or ideas...
Eliza Madrigal: I'd take a statement and imagine I'd heard it from someone else...
    Wol Euler nods.
Eliza Madrigal: to some extent its all mixed together anyway :)
    Eliza Madrigal: anyway, I'm babbling....
    Wol Euler: hush :)
    Wol Euler: it#s called "conversation"
    Alfred Kelberry: hi :)
Eliza Madrigal: so what is planned for weekend?
Wol Euler: some scripting, some reading, some laziness; a few dungeons in WoW, dancing in Fracture ... the usual
    Alfred Kelberry: shopping!
Alfred Kelberry: dungeons of wow :P
    Eliza Madrigal: :))
    Wol Euler: yep :)
Eliza Madrigal: and sharing wild ideas for PaB on Sunday
Alfred Kelberry: i don't get this fantasy thing
    Wol Euler: oh yes
Wol Euler: that's fine, boxy :) no reason why you should. It's optional :)
Alfred Kelberry: i like your boots though
Wol Euler: and I myself didn't get it until fairly recently, a year ago
Alfred Kelberry: oh, what made you reconsider?
Wol Euler: well, it's a longish story.
Wol Euler: a friend recommended watching Wil Wheaton#s keynote speech at the opening of PAX 2010
Wol Euler: I knew the name vaguely, but nothing more than that
    Alfred Kelberry: um... ok :)
Wol Euler: so I watched it, and was fascinated
Wol Euler: he talked about games and gaming, naturally enough given that it was at PAX
Wol Euler: and among other thinigs quite a bit about WoW and Dragon Age: ORigins
Wol Euler: so I bought dragon age and played it, and then after a while tried WoW
Wol Euler: until that point I would have said that I was not a gamer :)
    Alfred Kelberry: he enchanted you
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Wol Euler: but I enjoyed both, and still play WoW
    Wol Euler: yep
Alfred Kelberry: ok, me not watching this talk :)
Wol Euler adores and admires Wil Wheaton.
Alfred Kelberry: just to be safe
    --BELL--
Eliza Madrigal: hahah me too Boxy
    Wol Euler smiles.
Eliza Madrigal: wow has a social component which makes it interesting
    Wol Euler: indeed
    Wol Euler: not just creature-slaughtering
    Wol Euler: teamwork, cooperation
Wol Euler: to slaughter creatures *together* :)
    Eliza Madrigal: heheh
Wol Euler: the game enforces cooperation, you cannot get far without joining teams of other players
Eliza Madrigal: I do like that... seems something that needs to evolve...
    Eliza Madrigal: group dynamics
    Wol Euler nods.
    Eliza Madrigal: is there building?
    Wol Euler: nope
Wol Euler: that is the maiin difference to SL, wow is entirely pre-packaged
Wol Euler: none of it is user-made, nothing at all
Wol Euler: well, ok, there is an API and people write addon-tools for improving the display of game statistics etc
Wol Euler: but apart from that, no
Wol Euler: and poor narcoleptic boxy has again left us :)
    Eliza Madrigal: hahaah
    Alfred Kelberry: hi :)
Eliza Madrigal: I finished the Jobs biography today... seeing everything in gates/jobs dualities
    Alfred Kelberry: heh
Eliza Madrigal: haha so open/closed systems.... wow/sl
    Wol Euler: heheheh, nice
Eliza Madrigal: but what is interesting is that theyre both what they are
Eliza Madrigal: in their own contexts make sense
    Wol Euler nods.
Eliza Madrigal: I'm not sure what kind of game might entice me... have to think about that
Eliza Madrigal: not a big creature slaughterer
    Eliza Madrigal: hahah
    Wol Euler: heheeh
    Alfred Kelberry: try a quest
Wol Euler: minecraft, then, perhaps? not that I've ever played that ...
Wol Euler: or the Sim City franchise
Eliza Madrigal: Oh that's what son loves Minecraft
Wol Euler: city planning/building, keep the populace happy
Alfred Kelberry: yes! she can do that
Wol Euler: I loved Sim City, in its day, I spent ages playing that, until 4am
Eliza Madrigal: years ago I actually did play Sim City... and Harvest Moon :) kids wish I'd do that again but lost its flavor
Alfred Kelberry: eliza's sim city is pab :)
Eliza Madrigal: really enjoyed doing the plumming and roads...hehe
    Wol Euler: mmhmm
    Eliza Madrigal: :) Boxy
Wol Euler: I found it really interesting to see how all the bits interacted
Wol Euler: I tried to make cities I'd like to live in, lots of schools and libraries and parks, low crime, high happiness ...
    Alfred Kelberry: heh
Eliza Madrigal: yes me too :)) level up the happiness and parks
    Alfred Kelberry: brothels?
    Eliza Madrigal: hahah
Wol Euler: also played The Sims for a while, but never really got on with that
Wol Euler: my sims never made any friends :) they were really happy though, pottering around at home with their fish and plants
Eliza Madrigal: I'd sort of like to see more depth of activites possible in SL... like farms you have to 'keep up'
    Alfred Kelberry: ha! :)
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
    Alfred Kelberry: farmville fan?
    Eliza Madrigal: no
Wol Euler: try the meeroos, then, you have to feed them :)
    Eliza Madrigal: haha
    Wol Euler: farmville? boo!
Eliza Madrigal: I mean like here on my guardian spot...
    Eliza Madrigal: could grow tomatoes...
    Wol Euler smiles.
Alfred Kelberry: i'm pretty sure someone did that
Wol Euler: mmm, that should be easy enough ... it must exist somewhere
Eliza Madrigal: I've been watching to see how they work with things on perfect paradise
Eliza Madrigal: but it seems one really just 'has' the food
    Eliza Madrigal: or plant
Eliza Madrigal: and then mixes imagination
    Eliza Madrigal: take awa/build
Eliza Madrigal: so continuitiy maybe not so much
    Alfred Kelberry: has in inventory?
    Eliza Madrigal: yes
Eliza Madrigal: and shares, etc... they have some cute basket weaving animations and such
Eliza Madrigal: but it stays pretty much in the same phase
    Eliza Madrigal: never ending basket
Wol Euler: heheh, like Penelope's mourning shawl
    Alfred Kelberry: huh?
    Alfred Kelberry: cruz?
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Wol Euler: no :) wife and presumed widow of Odysseus aka Ulysses
    Alfred Kelberry: ah
    Eliza Madrigal: she waited forever...
Wol Euler: to delay the moment of his burial in absentia she would work by day on knitting a shawl to wear at the funeral
Wol Euler: then at night unpick what she had done
    --BELL--
Alfred Kelberry: i liked to watch cartoons about greek gods as a kid, but the family intricacies bored me :)
Eliza Madrigal: the subtleties only unpack when older I think
    Wol Euler: yeah
Eliza Madrigal: how can a kid relate to something like the above sentiment?
    Alfred Kelberry: hmm
    Wol Euler nods.
    Alfred Kelberry: ding
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Alfred Kelberry: um, time to go for me
    Eliza Madrigal: sorry bell
Wol Euler: bye boxy, take care
    Eliza Madrigal: yes me too..
    Eliza Madrigal: TKD upcoming
Alfred Kelberry: you be good and grow well
    Wol Euler: bye eliza
    Alfred Kelberry: tomatoes
Eliza Madrigal: :) Be good Boxy
    Wol Euler: oh?
    Alfred Kelberry: :)
Wol Euler: enjoy the weekend, perhaps we
Wol Euler: we'll meet again :)
    Alfred Kelberry: yep
Eliza Madrigal: :)) will not say be good because that might not help in game
    Alfred Kelberry: wuff!
    Eliza Madrigal: heheh
    Eliza Madrigal: @Wol
    Wol Euler: heheh
    Wol Euler: "slaughter well!"
    Eliza Madrigal: yeah! haha
    Wol Euler: heheheh
    Wol Euler: bye, eliza
Eliza Madrigal: oh goodness...now have to act as wig wearer for daughter to trim...
Eliza Madrigal: what a day :)) Bfn
    Wol Euler: heheh :)
    Wol Euler: bye! enjoy
