Being attentive.

Storm Nordwind: I was thinking of moving (and shrinking slightly) the Kira Cafe and putting it on a spare part of the Kuan Yin terraces. To save money: $35 a month. But Lokeshvara says no at the moment... so it's still here!
Eliza (eliza.madrigal): interesting.. I can see why you might think of adjusting proportions with just a few events taking place here

Eliza (eliza.madrigal): I wrote this morning to see if Luci and I can begin to look for a new time for dream circle, but was thinking maybe to use the retreat space for that

Storm Nordwind: I'm wondering if the Kuan Yin Terraces best serves its original purpose too. There are people who use it for a variety of things. Anyway, no rush :)

Enthusiasm without attachment.

Storm Nordwind: Being attentive to new ideas... it's interesting to observe myself getting enthusiastic about something new (football) and be able to do so without any attachment.
Storm Nordwind: I remember how people criticized some Indian gurus, when they arrived in the West 40 years ago, how they could just play with the stuff they found here. People said they should be above such things. (!) But i understand now what was going on

Storm Nordwind: Not sure. There's regular excitement. There's a local feeling of camaraderie. There's the fascination of new stuff. There's watching myself enjoy it. Not sure. I look at the football I was brought up with and it's a little bland by comparison for me. But there again, I've never been a sporting enthusiast before

Storm Nordwind: Yes. It's fun. And I can see the attraction from the passion point of view.
Storm Nordwind: I went to a CU (Buffs) college game last Saturday. (I'm still atrociously sunburned as a result!) The fans there have to be "diehard" - because their teams is awful!
