Raffila Millgrove: we meet every day. at 1 and 7. sl times.. 1 am/pm and 7 am/pm. Easy to remember.

Raffila Millgrove: so do you go about making new friends here in SL. i don't make so many as I used to when i was new here.
Secundarius Easterwood: oh, I make some here and there, it's not my biggest thing I suppose

Secundarius Easterwood: so tell me, what is this group? I didn't get a clear idea from the notecard
Raffila Millgrove: i was leading this other group and i asked a lot of questions about making friends in SL.
Raffila Millgrove: oh..
Raffila Millgrove: well the gist is this.
Raffila Millgrove: the founder of this group.... some four years ago.. he open it as an experiment.. in using a nine second meditation technique. Just dropping out of the world for nine seconds.... a few times an hour.. easier than setting up a long mediation period.
Secundarius Easterwood: I suppose it would be, yes
Raffila Millgrove: sometimes they say it is a lab here.. for exploration of Being.
Raffila Millgrove: Play as Being.
Raffila Millgrove: kind of experimenting with being. in the now.
Secundarius Easterwood: hmmmmmm
Raffila Millgrove: the bell rings every fifteen minutes .. to give you chance to close eyes or stop.. and be in the Now.. relax or mediate etc.
Secundarius Easterwood: sort of a zen thing?
Raffila Millgrove: yeah.. it is very zennish tho all faiths are respected here.
Secundarius Easterwood: gotcha I guess
Raffila Millgrove: we hit it from many perspective.
Raffila Millgrove: and sometimes we do this--have a theme.. we could use .. for a week.
Raffila Millgrove: to focus our thinking on it.. share our ideas.
Raffila Millgrove: lot of smart people come.. share fascinating stories.
Raffila Millgrove: two of our people. Today they are in Venice!
Secundarius Easterwood: I don't think it's really my thing, Raffila, but thanks for explaining it to me
Raffila Millgrove: Pab gets together.. real life.. for.. meeting. for inspiration and learning more together.

Raffila Millgrove: yes. Storm made it. you should ride on it.. it has a tour guide even.
Raffila Millgrove: yes.
Raffila Millgrove: real life. we meet.. couple times a year.

Raffila Millgrove: we have a member who belongs to Native American organization. she says First American.
Raffila Millgrove: grasslands.
Raffila Millgrove: she is going to help us learn to dance! and eat the food.. we are so excited.

Raffila Millgrove: i was closing my eyes and seeing us dancing at the grasslands.
Secundarius Easterwood: yes lol, I went to heat up coffee

Secundarius Easterwood: as I said, zen isn't really my thing
Raffila Millgrove: mm. well i think that is more like wishful thinking.. like visualizing it.. hoping it really comes true.
Raffila Millgrove: like wishing for a cadillac. except this seems more positive.. and happy than a car.
Secundarius Easterwood: I'm not sure what you mean, Raffila
Raffila Millgrove: i'd rather go to that meet up.. than get a new car.. quite honestly.
Secundarius Easterwood: oh I think I see
Raffila Millgrove: i was using the time.. to kind of focus on this.. as it's not.. all organized yet. i was doing some.. prayer like.. to help it happen.
Raffila Millgrove: like.. if you really want something--it helps to imagine it's happening. you think that works?

Raffila Millgrove: yeah. well that's not zen i think.. but it's what i was doing there.. during bell.

Raffila Millgrove: we can use bell for anything including warm up of coffee.
Raffila Millgrove: which is important! for me anyway. i hate cold cofee.

Raffila Millgrove: i don't even like iced coffee very much.
Secundarius Easterwood: I don't like it at all
Raffila Millgrove: except i love that iced Vietnamese coffee. you tried that?
Secundarius Easterwood: never, no
Raffila Millgrove: they make strong with evaporated milk.
Secundarius Easterwood: oh, I'm allergic to milk
Raffila Millgrove: bit like the Thai coffee.
Raffila Millgrove: oh well you would NOT want that then.
Secundarius Easterwood: nope, I'm sure I wouldn't
