[13:16] Mickorod Renard: it was when they wanted to take me onto the ward that I discharged myself...I came to the same conclusion

[13:20] Mickorod Renard: I was never a big smoker,,just for fun one
[13:21] Wol Euler: that probably makes quitting a lot easier
[13:21] Wol Euler: I watched several friends trying to quit, over decades
[13:21] Mickorod Renard: maybe,but I have smoked cigars for nearly 40 years,,so its a shock to my system
[13:21] Wol Euler: heh, that is a lot of "fun" :)
[13:21] Eliza Madrigal: yes... take good care of yourself
[13:22] Eliza Madrigal: I think smoking might be even harder for someone who thinks it isn't a bad habit for them... especially as built up over 40 years
[13:22] Mickorod Renard: I have lost two dear friends to lung cancer,,already
[13:22] Eliza Madrigal: I watched my mom struggle and struggle and it wasn't until she was in hospital that she actually gave it up

[13:22] Eliza Madrigal: and that with a lot of help, my sister getting rid of everything that was a reminder in the house while she was gone, etc

[13:23] Eliza Madrigal: sad that it takes us a scare sometimes to change things eh

[13:23] Mickorod Renard: I cant avoid it,,and am doing it without help or patches
[13:24] Mickorod Renard: in fact,,,people seem to be trying to stress me out on purpose I think

[13:24] Wol Euler: well, we are coming up to christmas, it is a stressful time even without quitting smoking
[13:24] Eliza Madrigal: I quit a long time ago, and had kids as incentive... but I was a sporadic smoker -  I used new agey techniques :)

[13:25] Mickorod Renard: mmmm I wondered about patches
[13:25] Eliza Madrigal: yes, I realized that I needed to get the image of myself as a smoker out of my mind
[13:25] Eliza Madrigal: write a different story

[13:25] Eliza Madrigal: sort of a self hypnosis
[13:25] Eliza Madrigal: and I did it while walking around a vitacourse
[13:25] Mickorod Renard: I think I do that all the time
[13:26] Eliza Madrigal: would be smoking, but say to myself "I'm not a smoker" and silly things like that :P
[13:26] Eliza Madrigal: but one day it just dropped off

[13:26] Eliza Madrigal: walking is amazing to work things out with

[13:28] Mickorod Renard: one thing hat is wierd at the moment,,is that I am sleeping like a log,,and for much longer

[14:33] Qt Core: i'm not going to to much as i'm not a gift giver, we don't like anymore big christmas launch and my sister loves so much to do the nativity scenes i can't do anything about it
