The Guardian for this meeting was Eliza Madrigal. The comments are by Eliza Madrigal.

    Eliza Madrigal: Hi Kori :)
    Korel Laloix: Heya.....
Eliza Madrigal: I'm not sure if I've gotten to say how much I enjoyed reading the I-Ching meeting
Eliza Madrigal: thanks so much for doing that
Korel Laloix: Oh.. no worries... smiles
    Korel Laloix: It was interesting....
Korel Laloix: Supposed to do a sort of follow up sometime as well.
Eliza Madrigal: wonderful. Does it surprise you that people are so interested?

    --BELL--

Korel Laloix: At first I guess it did... but I have been learning about Burma recently from someone from there.... so I find that interesting...so a parallell I guess.
Eliza Madrigal: great opportunities we have in our time, to be able to share this way
    Eliza Madrigal: so much 'open'
Eliza Madrigal: and far different to learn from a friend's direct experience than to read about

Korel Laloix: That is very true... just imagine what it was like before even telephones.
    Eliza Madrigal: :) quiet
Eliza Madrigal: I've never gotten the hang of telephones... they still feel invasive to me
Eliza Madrigal: skype rather better when with video
Bruce Mowbray: And cell phones seem especially invasive -- to me.
    Eliza Madrigal: Hi Bruce!
Bruce Mowbray: Good morning, Eliza and Kori.
Korel Laloix: I text more than anything.
Eliza Madrigal: definitely cell phones... especially when/if people think "but I called you..." expecting that you will always answer
Eliza Madrigal: but texting is okay I agree :)

Eliza Madrigal: How are you today Bruce?
Bruce Mowbray: I'm good, thanks. Had a good sleep last night -- and for several nights, now that it's cooler.
Eliza Madrigal: hardly anything better than a good sleep :)
    Bruce Mowbray: ;-)
Korel Laloix: Sleeping well is not one of my tallents for sure.
Bruce Mowbray: There were some raccoons squabbling outside my bedroom window -- about 4 a.m. - and they woke me, but that settled down quickly.
    Eliza Madrigal smiles
Bruce Mowbray: Joys of living in a forest, I guess.
Korel Laloix: They can make a lot of noise for sure.
Eliza Madrigal: am sure there are many
    Eliza Madrigal: joys
    Bruce Mowbray: Yes!

Korel Laloix: We have them around here as well...
Korel Laloix: Not really city.. but close I guess.
Bruce Mowbray: Better raccoons than skunks, though.
Eliza Madrigal: :) have been sprayed before... skunk getting into the house when I was a kid
Bruce Mowbray: My dog won't even defend his food from them.
Korel Laloix: We have those as welll.. but not as common.. we usually see the flat versions here though.
Bruce Mowbray: OHHHH. That's not good.
Eliza Madrigal: had to bathe in tomato juice! hah...
    Korel Laloix: OH ick.
Bruce Mowbray: Yeppers . . . had to bathe the dog in tomato juice once myself.
Korel Laloix: Bet that was pleasant.
    Bruce Mowbray: ;-)
Eliza Madrigal: I grew up in a really grovey area
    Eliza Madrigal grins
    Eliza Madrigal: ah, nature :)
Bruce Mowbray: grovey as in groves of trees?
Korel Laloix: We have lots of critters around here.
Eliza Madrigal: yes.... "old South Miami" near Coconut Grove actually....
Korel Laloix: Bad issues with rabbits and terrapins in the garden.
Eliza Madrigal: far more tame now, I feel a bit unfortunately

Bruce Mowbray: I actually love the critters -- all of them, but some can be a bit problematic . . if I'm trying to sleep . . .
    Eliza Madrigal: aw
Eliza Madrigal: yes that's the thing... coexistence
Korel Laloix: And critter is such a fun word.
Eliza Madrigal: can't negotiate with them
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Korel Laloix: I think you can...
    Eliza Madrigal: yes?
Korel Laloix: Just have to set limits and see if they take them.
Bruce Mowbray: Sure - - one can surely try
Korel Laloix: LIke trying to get a horse in a trailor.. if you try to pull her, she won't go.
    Bruce Mowbray: ;-)
Korel Laloix: YOu give her choices, she will.
Eliza Madrigal: how would you show her choices?
    Korel Laloix: Carefully... smiles
    Eliza Madrigal: :)

Korel Laloix: I am not a horse person... but seeing people that are handle them is amazing.
Korel Laloix: And for our rabbits here.... we plant some thing outside the fence.
Korel Laloix: The seem to accept the offering and not dig.
Eliza Madrigal: do agree... a wonder to behold from the outside sort of otherworldly
    Eliza Madrigal: that's surprising!
Eliza Madrigal: rabbits seem the least easy to negotiate with, next to foxes... so quick and clever
Bruce Mowbray: Our raccoons accept the offering of my dog's food -- from HIM, but since I'm the one buying it, I'm not in a mood to negotiate.
    Korel Laloix smiles
    Eliza Madrigal: :)

    --BELL--

Korel Laloix: A lot of people do not have catflaps here unless they are the magnetic type due to the raccons.
Bruce Mowbray: We also have a few doggies wandering through every morning -- from neighboring farms -- so I bring in Bear's food then, also - although I don't think Bear would care if they ate it.
Bruce Mowbray: Would the raccoons just walk through the catflaps?
Eliza Madrigal: can surely understand that ... I was feeding an outdoor cat and would raise the blinds in the kitchen to see him, but then there appeared a huge opossum with enormous teeth.. hah, quite a shock
    Korel Laloix: Yes.
Korel Laloix: The possums here are very shy.
Eliza Madrigal: he was up on the kitchen window ledge - must have leaped somehow
Korel Laloix: And sort of stupid..
Bruce Mowbray: I found a opossum in my bathroom last year -- have no idea how he got in, unless he came in when I opened a door at night - and didn't see him.
Korel Laloix: Lots more flat ones.. more than skunks.
Bruce Mowbray: Opossums have VERY sharp teeth.
Eliza Madrigal: I feel sort of bad for them... they look SO menacing and don't seem to actually be
Bruce Mowbray: Yes, and they walk slowly, too.

Korel Laloix: Our squirrels are silly smart though.
Korel Laloix: They can and do get anto everything.
Eliza Madrigal: when I was first in SL, I was playing with diff avatars and dreamed I was a squirrel looking down on a rat, but realizing I was a scavenger too
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Korel Laloix: I think the term might be forager... smiles
    Eliza Madrigal: yes, forager :)
Bruce Mowbray: Isn't it neat when you realize that you're part of the very thing you're thinking about?
    Eliza Madrigal: "critters" all
    Bruce Mowbray: ;-)
    Eliza Madrigal: indeed Bruce
Bruce Mowbray: That's what our Art as Being Lab project will be about . . .
Eliza Madrigal: How is it going? Care to give us a teaser?
Bruce Mowbray: San and I -- and Kori too, if she's interested. . . working it up.
    Bruce Mowbray: Sure!
Korel Laloix: Schedule just not working out this time.
Korel Laloix: Sort of working on something myself though... when I get the chance.
    Eliza Madrigal: great

Bruce Mowbray: It's like "What happens in the shift? -- The shift when your idea begins to include yourself?
    Bruce Mowbray: Example?
    Bruce Mowbray: Great, Kori!
    Bruce Mowbray: Like this:
Eliza Madrigal: HI Szavanna! Bruce is about to share a teaser to upcoming Art of Being project
Korel Laloix: Well.. we will see if it s great.

Bruce Mowbray: I'm outside at night lying on my back looking up at the Milky Way....

    Bruce Mowbray: Hi, szav
    Bruce Mowbray: Hi, Bleu.
    szavanna Resident: hi Brucey :)
Eliza Madrigal: Hi Bleu, will give you a note :)
    szavanna Resident: Bleuji :)
    Bleu Oleander: hey all
    szavanna Resident: hi Korel :)

Bruce Mowbray: and at some point, the "idea" of the Milky Way becomes something that includes me . . . swallows up the thinker.
Bruce Mowbray: and there is a shift with that.
Bruce Mowbray: So, the "lab" would be investigating other instances of that same shift.
    Bruce Mowbray: [done]
    Eliza Madrigal: oh my

    Korel Laloix: Heya
Bruce Mowbray: How are you today, szavanna and Bleu, and San?
    szavanna Resident: hi San :)
    Bruce Mowbray: Welcome all!
    Santoshima Resident: hello :)
Eliza Madrigal: >knows< that sort of shift - looking forward to the project Bruce!
Bleu Oleander: great Bruce, you all?
szavanna Resident: oh I am well ty - how are you Bruce :)
Bruce Mowbray: San is also working on it.
    Eliza Madrigal: Hi San :)
    Santoshima Resident: hi
    Korel Laloix: brb
Eliza Madrigal: Bruce was giving a teaser about the upcoming Art of Being project
Bruce Mowbray looks at Bleu's board with all the mugshots.
szavanna Resident: Do you have a notecard about it Liz?
    Bleu Oleander: :)
Eliza Madrigal: yes... will IM you with what Bruce said before you arrived
    szavanna Resident: ty :))
    Bleu Oleander: hi Zen :)
Bruce Mowbray: Notice that Wol has three sessions but only one mugshot.

Eliza Madrigal: maybe during the next pause we can consider when we've felt those kinds of shifts before.... do feel there is the taste of "compassion" there

    Bruce Mowbray: Hey, Zen!
Eliza Madrigal: Hi Zen :) will IM you
    Zen Arado: Hi all
Bruce Mowbray notices that Zen hasn't done a mugshot yet.
    szavanna Resident: hi Zenji °͜°
    Zen Arado: Hi Zsaji:)
    Zen Arado: Szaji
    szavanna Resident: ;))
    Zen Arado: :)
    Santoshima Resident: hi Zen :)
    Zen Arado: Hi San :)
    Zen Arado: nice hair Eliza
    Eliza Madrigal: ty :)
szavanna Resident zooms in on Liz
    szavanna Resident: wow °͜°
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
    Eliza Madrigal: :::beams::::
    szavanna Resident admires °͜°
    Bruce Mowbray: very nice, indeed.

    --BELL--

Bleu Oleander: nice new look for you Eliza :)
Eliza Madrigal: ty :) feels fresh
    szavanna Resident: it does :)
Bleu Oleander: need a new pic for the board hehe
Santoshima Resident: there is a spinning vehicle to the South of the pavilion, owned by Zakonex (killokid)
Santoshima Resident: anybody know that person?
    Eliza Madrigal: not at all...
    Bruce Mowbray: not I.
    Bleu Oleander: nope
Eliza Madrigal: SL allows this kind of shift in many ways potentially - looking at something from outside then finding oneself inside
Zen Arado: no good I need to crop still and can't download pics on Firestorm
Bruce Mowbray: Yes, Eliza! That was my "inspiration" for the project, actually.
Zen Arado: shifts can be gradual though
    Eliza Madrigal nods
Eliza Madrigal: or sudden and disorienting

Bruce Mowbray: It's a bit like "letting yourself be seen...."
Bruce Mowbray: a shift in perspective.
Eliza Madrigal: very much so Bruce, yes!

Eliza Madrigal: is self 'lost' in these shifts?
    Santoshima Resident: hopefully
Bleu Oleander: in some sense self is always there
Santoshima Resident: into the "lost and found'
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Bleu Oleander: otherwise "we" wouldn't know it was a shift

Bruce Mowbray: At one moment, looking at the Milky Way as an object . . . and the next moment BEING [part of] that Milky Way --- There is some identity-thing "dropped" and another identity "gained" perhaps.
    Eliza Madrigal: ah
    Bruce Mowbray: or expanded, shifted....
Bleu Oleander: perspective of how we see ourselves and enlarge our container?
Bruce Mowbray: Yes! The container thing is a great metaphor...
Bruce Mowbray: Being contained by what we formerly thought we contained as an idea in our minds.
Bruce Mowbray: (fingers are still too cold to type this morning... sry).

Bleu Oleander: can "reduce" the size of self by exploring beyond ourselves
    Eliza Madrigal: held in awe
    Santoshima Resident: {must go ... bye ~ peaceful day everyone}
Bruce Mowbray: yes, reduce the "self" container through enlarging the "awe" container
    Eliza Madrigal: peaceful day, San
Bruce Mowbray: Bye for now, San.

Bleu Oleander: Mars pics make me feel at once smaller and yet somehow at home in the universe
    Bleu Oleander: bye San
    szavanna Resident: take care San
Eliza Madrigal: very much so Bleu!
Eliza Madrigal: so familiar somehow yet knowing so distant
    Bleu Oleander: yes
Bruce Mowbray: I LOVE the Mars Curiosity Rover pics! -- looking forward to seeing YEARS more of them!
Eliza Madrigal: over the last few months I seem to be in places where people are sharing 'awakening' stories... these moments when they have that Copernican shift...
    szavanna Resident: :)
    Bleu Oleander: http://www.youtube.com/embed/XRCIzZHpFtY?rel=0
    Bleu Oleander: great video
    Eliza Madrigal: ty Bleu
    Eliza Madrigal: :) pause approacheth
Bleu Oleander has an awakening story every morning :)
    Eliza Madrigal: :)

    --BELL--

    szavanna Resident: Bleu ;o)
Eliza Madrigal: ty :) Held by the bell
    Eliza Madrigal: Hi Xirana :)
    Bleu Oleander: hiya Xiri
    Bruce Mowbray: Good day, Xir!
    szavanna Resident: Xiriji °͜°
Eliza Madrigal: Zenji what are you trying to show us?
    Zen Arado: Hi Xiri:)
    szavanna Resident wonders too
    Xirana Oximoxi: hello everyone:)
    Bleu Oleander: me too
Zen Arado: I'm trying to take a snapshot and download it
Zen Arado: it is crashing me even in Phoenix now
    szavanna Resident: sigh
Eliza Madrigal: perhaps you need someone to be your photographer, or, are you able to take a snapshot to texture?
    Bleu Oleander: aww
szavanna Resident: you can take a print screen also
    szavanna Resident: may be
    Eliza Madrigal: true, screen capture
    Zen Arado: good idea
Zen Arado: I used the sniping tool
Bruce Mowbray: I just took one of you Zen.
    Zen Arado: snipping
Bruce Mowbray: Will have it to you in a sec.
szavanna Resident: you can usually use your "prtScn" button
Bleu Oleander: sent you one too
Zen Arado: but they won't download Bruce is the problem
Eliza Madrigal: what is the floating shoe about? :)
Zen Arado: snipping tool is great
    szavanna Resident: shoe?
Eliza Madrigal: am I the only one seeing that?
    Bruce Mowbray: I use SnagIt - -
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
    Eliza Madrigal: nice pic!
szavanna Resident: wow I love it
    szavanna Resident: °͜°
Xirana Oximoxi: me too!! :))....muy guapo!! :-)
szavanna Resident: cool looking dude :)
    Bruce Mowbray: I agree.
Bruce Mowbray: But Bleu has put up a place to have your photo taken behind the board...
szavanna Resident: is it for the board there?
Eliza Madrigal: well it would achieve the same effect as this
    Bleu Oleander: oops lost Zen
szavanna Resident: oh he is gone again
Xirana Oximoxi: ahhh then... is it to put on the board behind me?
Bruce Mowbray: seems to be a bad connection.

szavanna Resident: I would love to have my name there too hmm
    Bleu Oleander: yes
Bleu Oleander: that's what I said Sza
Zen Arado: can't upload photos either :)
Bruce Mowbray: Give your photo to Bleu, and she puts them in the proper places on the board.
Eliza Madrigal: :)) want a session Sza? I'll give you this one and take Monday night maybe :)
Bleu Oleander: now I'm hosting on Sundays haha
    szavanna Resident: :) Bleuji
    Xirana Oximoxi: ok:)
    szavanna Resident: hmm so tempting
Zen Arado: I need to be able to do this for other things
szavanna Resident: hope you can fix it Zenji
Eliza Madrigal: Luci and I are discussing moving dream circle to monday nights at the retreat center, so for me it might make sense, but no pressure :)
    szavanna Resident: °͜°
Bleu Oleander: lots of empty spots Szaji hehe

szavanna Resident: what do I have to do?
    szavanna Resident: any special requirements?
Eliza Madrigal: be you, if there are visitors introduce them to the group, and post the session after - fancy or not :)
szavanna Resident: apart from posting it
szavanna Resident: ok so nothing changed really °͜°
szavanna Resident: no specific themes to consider?
Zen Arado: oh I didn't know I could be me :)
Eliza Madrigal: there is a suggested topic but no host is obligated to it

szavanna Resident: can it be artsy?
    Eliza Madrigal giggles Zen
Bleu Oleander: be like Eliza ... welcoming and a good host :))
Eliza Madrigal: yes it could be Sza!
    Eliza Madrigal: ty (((Bleu)))
    szavanna Resident: :)
Bleu Oleander: I plan to make my session more "artsy"
szavanna Resident: ok so lets do it :)
    Eliza Madrigal: yay :)
Zen Arado: wonders how he is so he can be that
    szavanna Resident: Monday 7am then
    Bleu Oleander: yay!!
    szavanna Resident: hehe
    Zen Arado: yay
Eliza Madrigal: that's one thing that came out of the recent guardian meeting - desire for diversity of sessions
    szavanna Resident: ;o)
    Xirana Oximoxi: wonderful!!! :-)
Eliza Madrigal: so this will be so nice :)
    szavanna Resident: oh great
    Zen Arado: musiczy?

szavanna Resident: and now ... I must give you a picture?
Bruce Mowbray: Time for morning walk with the dog now. THANKS Eliza and everyone.
    szavanna Resident: ;p
    Eliza Madrigal: yup!
    Bleu Oleander: yes
    szavanna Resident: hehe
    Xirana Oximoxi: bye bye Bruce:)
Eliza Madrigal: Thank you Bruce.... very much for the beautiful shift sharing :)
    szavanna Resident: enjoy Brucey
Bleu Oleander: take a pic in the photo booth behind the board
    szavanna Resident: hugs :)
    Zen Arado: byee Bruce
Bleu Oleander: send it to me and I'll add your name
    szavanna Resident: wow booth?
    Bleu Oleander: yes
Xirana Oximoxi: ahhh there is a plce to take the fotos?
    Eliza Madrigal: glamour shot
    Bleu Oleander: exactly
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Bleu Oleander: pic your best look
Eliza Madrigal: since I will move day maybe I will take a pic with new hair
    Bleu Oleander: yes!
Bleu Oleander: so what's your new day Eliza?
    Zen Arado: :)
    Eliza Madrigal: Monday night
    Bleu Oleander: great
Eliza Madrigal: sometimes I'm sleepy then... but maybe when on schedule it will be okay
Bleu Oleander: and sza on Mondays at 7am?
    Eliza Madrigal: yes
    szavanna Resident: yes :)

    --BELL--

Eliza Madrigal: I won't start til next week though :)
Eliza Madrigal: do you ever take a picture of one thing, but then when you look at it other things have jumped in there? once I took a picture of my daughter in a tree, and a separate one of her in her halloween costume with a tiara. Afterward, it was clear that the one in the tree made nearly an identical shape to the tiara photo...
Eliza Madrigal: it was an uncanny moment... such a wink
    Bleu Oleander: yes!

Zen Arado: your brain looked for the shape again
Eliza Madrigal: yes... and it was indeed there....
Eliza Madrigal: the tree branches in the background with the light
Eliza Madrigal: I suppose artists notice things like that all the time... particular shapes used in works of various periods, hidden themes
Eliza Madrigal: winks from one artist to another
Zen Arado: Mondrian paintings are supposed to be derived from trees and leaves shapes
Eliza Madrigal: interesting, didn't know that
    Xirana Oximoxi: me either...

Eliza Madrigal: okay...am taking another picture too :) :::hops up::::
    Bleu Oleander: haha
    szavanna Resident: hehe °͜°
szavanna Resident: what did I start
    Bleu Oleander: its contagious

szavanna Resident: I am an art curator now
szavanna Resident: collecting artists for the commune
    szavanna Resident: really fun
szavanna Resident: and we put a photo booth there for a while
Zen Arado: Gracie Kendal gave a good talk yesterday
    szavanna Resident: everyone loved it
Xirana Oximoxi: wow,...art curator!! where do you have your gallery?? :)
szavanna Resident: oh it's in the commune Xiri
Xirana Oximoxi: oh yes...very interesting art talk...
szavanna Resident: would love to show you - it's a small space
Eliza Madrigal: maybe we can pop over there?
    Bleu Oleander: yes!
szavanna Resident: we can :) when ?
    Eliza Madrigal: now?
    szavanna Resident: yay lets gooo
Xirana Oximoxi: oh yes... I would love to visit it! I don't know whre the 'commune' is:)
    Zen Arado: so impulsive :)
    Eliza Madrigal grins
szavanna Resident: yes it's a famous place
szavanna Resident: ok I tp you
    Eliza Madrigal: great, ty

Xirana Oximoxi: moment I take a foto too
Eliza Madrigal: Oh, thought you did that Xri.. didn't mean to jump ahead)

    Bleu Oleander: ok great
szavanna Resident: Zenji went to the commune?
szavanna Resident: wow Bleuji is so fast
    Bleu Oleander: hehe
Bleu Oleander: Eliza ... you and Luci should sit together?
Eliza Madrigal: Oh that would be nice, except Luci will only be hosting once a month with me, and that week we'll be in the retreat place
    Bleu Oleander: oh ok
Eliza Madrigal: btw, I will need feedback on this photo... it actually may look a bit depressed... hah...odd
Eliza Madrigal: just seeing that in the editing space :)
Bleu Oleander: hmmm take another then
Eliza Madrigal: I may be influenced by something someone said to me a few days ago... that the lashes I was wearing seemed sad.... suppose a bit clownish...hm
Bleu Oleander: gave you a copy of the booth ... can play at home then ... hehe
szavanna Resident: [08:11] Zen (zen.arado): I'm at commune [08:11] Zen (zen.arado): where are you?
    Eliza Madrigal: oh, hah, great
    szavanna Resident: °͜°
    Eliza Madrigal smiles
szavanna Resident: just talking to Mel also
szavanna Resident: she will show her work in November
    Eliza Madrigal: excellent
szavanna Resident: this way I learn a lot about art
    szavanna Resident: :)
    Bleu Oleander: nice
Eliza Madrigal: seems a natural fit, Sza
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
szavanna Resident: I enjoy it °͜°
Bleu Oleander: are we going there now?
