    Bertram Jacobus: hi lucy :-)
    Lucinda Lavender: HI Bertram
Lucinda Lavender: nice to see you:)
    Bertram Jacobus: tyvm :-)
Lucinda Lavender: I need to check one thing be right back...
    Bertram Jacobus: okay ! ... :-)
    Lucinda Lavender: ah back...
Lucinda Lavender: I am here for Eliza who will take my friday morning session at 7 am
Lucinda Lavender: fountain is kind of high I see.
Bertram Jacobus: sry - i took the chance to check something either ;-9
    Lucinda Lavender: fine by me.
    Bertram Jacobus: high ? normal i guess (?) :-)
Lucinda Lavender: ah just seems high for some reason...maybe others lower it at times
Bertram Jacobus: or the view / perspective perhaps causes that impression ?
    Lucinda Lavender: could be
Bertram Jacobus: i wouldn´t know how to lower the fountain or how to make it smaller ...
    Bertram Jacobus: or taller ...
Bertram Jacobus: and here (germany) it´s 4 pm (!) :-)
Bertram Jacobus: why do you have that stick. were you dancing with it ? :-)
Lucinda Lavender: good time of day for fountain viewing
Bertram Jacobus: yess ! yeah ! i thought something similar : good time ... :-)
Lucinda Lavender: it is a sparkler from Independance day July 4
Bertram Jacobus: ah i see okey - often they are given as "raver sticks" ... ;-)
    Lucinda Lavender: I see!
Bertram Jacobus: i think, i have a quite big collection of those ... ;o)
    Lucinda Lavender: oops
Bertram Jacobus: wow - what was that !? :-)
Lucinda Lavender: that was my skirt
    Bertram Jacobus: okay ... :-)
Lucinda Lavender: accidentally it comes off when I try to detach other things like the sparkler
    Bertram Jacobus: strange ...
Lucinda Lavender: just where the arrrow points
Bertram Jacobus: hmmm - "okay" :o)
Lucinda Lavender: it look like there will be a beautiful day here in Seattle
Bertram Jacobus: wonderful ! here in cologne its nice weather as well ! :-)
    --BELL--
Bertram Jacobus: hello xirana and dash ! :-)
    Bertram Jacobus: [oops]
    Dash Earthboy: hey y'all :)
Lucinda Lavender: I have a bottle of 4711 I think it is called...given to me by my brother who was stationed in Germany some years ago...Hi Xirana and Dash!
    Xirana Oximoxi: hallo everyone:)
    Lucinda Lavender: Hi Storm:)
    Lucinda Lavender: sorry Bell:)
    Dash Earthboy: oops
    Storm Nordwind: Hi all
Bertram Jacobus: hi storm ... :-)
    Xirana Oximoxi: hi Storm:)
Bertram Jacobus: and 4711 - *smile* - yes ! it´s assumed as a quite old fashioned parfume, but from cologne and may be gettin "en vogue" already again ! ... ;-)
    Lucinda Lavender: :))well!
Storm Nordwind: You're talking about cologne from Köln?
Bertram Jacobus: absolutely correct storm ! :-)
Lucinda Lavender: yes...the bottle of 4711 I was given some years ago
Lucinda Lavender: I keep it on a shelf mainly
Dash Earthboy: shelf must smell good :)
Storm Nordwind is old enough to remember its heyday
Lucinda Lavender: :)I am imagining making a poem about it...we could each make a line...
Xirana Oximoxi: ahhh I've been reading the book Bleu recomended 'Infinite reality' and it says that in the near future we will be able to have the feeling of the smell like we have the feeling of hearing known voice through telefon
    Xirana Oximoxi: throug computers:)
    Lucinda Lavender: interesting!
Dash Earthboy: *still waiting for 3D on my computer :)
Lucinda Lavender: right and the robots will be able to sweat I was hearing...to bring comfort to those in surgery
Xirana Oximoxi: I've copied it so I send it here...
Xirana Oximoxi: Indeed, most people are totally unconscious of the simple fact that the voice they hear during a cell-phone conversation is not the other person’s voice but a digital construction that only approximates that voice and is measured and produced nearly in
    Xirana Oximoxi: real time
Xirana Oximoxi: Technology will soon provide levels of visual fidelity (and, later, touch and smell) comparable to the audio fidelity of the telephone.
Lucinda Lavender: wow...I did not know that
Xirana Oximoxi: In other words, virtual worlds encompassing all of the senses… will at some point “feel” as “real” as a telephone conversation does today.
    Xirana Oximoxi: :)
    Bertram Jacobus: touch (!) ... ;-)
Xirana Oximoxi: I've been discussing about it with a friend
Storm Nordwind: Where is the "we" that interprets this sense data as reality?
Bertram Jacobus: a part of "maya" - the so called illusion - if we follow buddhist explanations ...
Lucinda Lavender: it is perhaps just a thing that appears but is not there?
    Dash Earthboy: ohmmmms ohmmms ohmmms
Lucinda Lavender: flickering in and out of existence
Storm Nordwind: Dash is speaking in terms of electrical resistance, it seems ;-)
Dash Earthboy: meditating on energy :)
    Lucinda Lavender: :)
Lucinda Lavender: what shall we meditate on for the next pause?
    Bertram Jacobus: nothingness ? :-)
    Bertram Jacobus: emptyness ?
Bertram Jacobus: i love that so very much
    Bertram Jacobus: so relaxing
Bertram Jacobus: such a nice pause / braek
Bertram Jacobus: going away from all those impressions
Bertram Jacobus: and feelings and thoughts ...
    Lucinda Lavender: ok:)
    Xirana Oximoxi: ok:)
Bertram Jacobus: seems as some have already began with it (?) ... ;-)
    Xirana Oximoxi: hehe
Lucinda Lavender: can you give us an image for this?
Lucinda Lavender: or by definition is that not possible
Bertram Jacobus: no image i guess - "simply nothing (no thing) ? ...
    Lucinda Lavender: nodding
Dash Earthboy: it is difficult for the lactose-intolerant to distinguish between the whole, skim, & goat milk they may try to sell others
Bertram Jacobus: also being, may be - afterwards we can tell, what we felt or thought or experienced - if we like, for example ...
    Bertram Jacobus: soya ...
    Lucinda Lavender: ok:) yes...
    --BELL--
    Bertram Jacobus: emptyness ... ;-)
Dash Earthboy: yes, speak of what you know !
    Dash Earthboy: hey Yaku :)
    Yakuzza Lethecus: hey everyone
    Dash Earthboy: (bell...)
    Bertram Jacobus: hey yaku ! ... :-)
    Storm Nordwind: Greetings Master Yaku
    Xirana Oximoxi: hello Yaku:)
Bertram Jacobus: such a gentle man and clothing ! ... :-)
Dash Earthboy: a regular Johnny Cash :)
Lucinda Lavender: Hi Yaku...was in a moment of emptiness:)
Bertram Jacobus: me either - ty for having it expressed in correct english words lucy ! :-)
Lucinda Lavender: yes..closed my eyes and did not see
Bertram Jacobus: i love that so very much and it means to me to stop to produce always things : thoughts and so on ...
Lucinda Lavender: creates a void of sorts
Bertram Jacobus: but often there are impressions then - for example that yaku arrives, dash writes something, car are to be heared here outside and so on ...
Storm Nordwind became totalled relaxed and saw all was insubstantial, solid forms being a temporary construct of my mind.
Lucinda Lavender: whenever I sit by Yaku while wearing my fancy dress I imagine we are going to the grand ball...
    Bertram Jacobus: :-)
    Yakuzza Lethecus smiles :)
    Xirana Oximoxi: :)
Yakuzza Lethecus: imagines dancing with luci :)
Bertram Jacobus: construct of your mind storm ?
    Lucinda Lavender: everything temporary yes
    Storm Nordwind: yes.
Yakuzza Lethecus: i will jump to a different sim, a friend asked me
Yakuzza Lethecus: bfn, sry for the short visit
Lucinda Lavender: have a good day...
Bertram Jacobus: but what about reality ? apart from our minds ?
    Dash Earthboy: bye Yaku
    Xirana Oximoxi: bye Yaku:)
Storm Nordwind: However, it's convenient for me to see this arrangement of things as a laptop keyboard - or a cup of coffee :)
Lucinda Lavender: can you say more about the question Bert?
Bertram Jacobus: i wait for xiranas text first, okay pls ? ...
Xirana Oximoxi: during the pause...I've been more aware about the sounds of the house... someone walking, birds outside.... I've closed my eyes like Luci, but outside reality was still present
    Bertram Jacobus: :-)
    Xirana Oximoxi: :)
    Bertram Jacobus: nice experiences, i find (!) ... :-)
Bertram Jacobus: and about my question : i´m not sure whether the things are only "constructs of our minds" -
Bertram Jacobus: may be there is something more - but i think : normally, we don´t know all that
Bertram Jacobus: hey zen ! :-)
    Dash Earthboy: hey zen
    Xirana Oximoxi: hi Zen:)
Lucinda Lavender: I sort of sank into a warm blankness...Hi Zen
    Storm Nordwind: Hi Zen
Dash Earthboy: *remembering song: "Living is easy with eyes closed, misunderstanding all you see. It's getting hard to be sum One but it all works out. It doesn't matter much to me...:)
    Zen Arado: Hi all
    Lucinda Lavender: :)
Lucinda Lavender: we just had a puse of emptiness
    Lucinda Lavender: pause
Storm Nordwind: The point - for me - of being able to see things in that way is that it removes all possibility of attachment to anything, and hence removes lots of unnecessary suffering. (I only speak for me, not for anyone else.)
Bertram Jacobus: i see and find that reasonable. but i also find the truth very interesting ...
    --BELL--
Lucinda Lavender: this pause brought awareness of fog horns
    Dash Earthboy: :)
    Dash Earthboy: and leg horns?
    Dash Earthboy: :)
Lucinda Lavender: I say I say
Storm Nordwind: Foghorns have a way of making you aware of them. I guess that's their raison d'être!
Dash Earthboy: i heard it was something about warning ships away from dangerous waters when it's too foggy to see the dangers?
Lucinda Lavender: my conductor used to say a certain phrase was a fog horn leghorn...so give extra stress to the second time you sing something on the line
Lucinda Lavender: yes Bert to help them navigate the waters
    Dash Earthboy: wb zen
Lucinda Lavender: I say I SAY
Bertram Jacobus: i didn´t say that lucy - that was dash ;-)
Lucinda Lavender: thanks Bert...I missed that
    Bertram Jacobus: [ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kqBgn_sN94Y ] ;o)
Lucinda Lavender: was in my reverie...
Zen Arado: drat I used reset avatar in Firestrom and it has given me a weird appearance
Dash Earthboy: *ponders "weird" avatar appearance concept...
Bertram Jacobus: and when you use a basic avatar in viewer 2 again and then your normal appearance again - doesn´t that change it zen ?
Zen Arado: how do I get back to original avatar?
Dash Earthboy: is there an avi that isn't "weird" ?
Bertram Jacobus: in the library ...
Bertram Jacobus: there : clothing ...
Bertram Jacobus: you find many starter avatars - normally it helps to draw a whole folder on the avatar and then you can go from there and then take your normal avatar appearance again - as folder or piece by piece - as you have it stored ...
Zen Arado: I have never changed my avatar excepr adjust appearance
    Bertram Jacobus: in your inventory
Zen Arado: where is my normal av stored?
Bertram Jacobus: but you took new parts, clothing, skin, shape ...
Storm Nordwind: Although when you do that you'll lose any attachments that you were wearing, even if they weren't part of your prior outfit
    Zen Arado: yeh
Bertram Jacobus: when you didn´t store it, it is nowhere, but you can pick the pieces, parts again : chlothing and skin / shape ...
Lucinda Lavender: picking up the pieces...
    Lucinda Lavender: losing attatchments
Bertram Jacobus: and the ruth appearance for sure does not seem the best solution doesn´t it ? ... so - may be you like to try one of the basic avatars - if you like we can go to a sandbox zen to check all that out ?
    Lucinda Lavender: adjusting appearance.
Bertram Jacobus: that is not enough in this case
    Lucinda Lavender: ah...
Zen Arado: can't find any normal avs
Bertram Jacobus: i would appreciate to help you zen if you would like it ! ...
Zen Arado: just animals and robots
Bertram Jacobus: but we should do that elsewhere i guess ...
Lucinda Lavender: I was generally listening to the av situation as a metaphor...
    --BELL--
    Bertram Jacobus grins @ lucy ... :-)
Zen Arado: it's ok I'll work it out
Xirana Oximoxi: have you seen in the Lybrary of your inventar Zen?
    Zen Arado: seen what?
Zen Arado: don't remember where you save an avatar
    Zen Arado: never done that
    Zen Arado: shape yes
Xirana Oximoxi: in Viewer 2, I have the Inventar and also a Lybrary where I can find all the avatars of the first sl
Zen Arado: just animals in mine
Xirana Oximoxi: I mean the ones that comes with the viewer
    Xirana Oximoxi: oh
    Zen Arado: or outfits
    Zen Arado: are they avatars?
Bertram Jacobus: okay - i´ll leave - have a nice day all, ty for the chat / talk / company - and may all beings be happy pls ! :-)
Xirana Oximoxi: in outfits... they are avatars
    Xirana Oximoxi: complete avatars
    Zen Arado: ah ok

Zen Arado: suppose I'll have to start from scratch
Xirana Oximoxi: yes... me too (in Spanish:)
    Zen Arado: nuisance !!
    Zen Arado: ah well
    Zen Arado: ty for advice
    Zen Arado: bye all
    Dash Earthboy: bye Zen
Xirana Oximoxi: bye to all...I go too:)
    Storm Nordwind: Au revoir :)
