[07:12] Dash Earthboy: i own a home in hostile territory where I previously worked for the county government
[07:13] Dash Earthboy: found corruption and tried to fix things for the people of the county
[07:13] Dash Earthboy: like good teachers in the Atlanta Public Schools, I was threatened & coerced and ultimately fired...friends dropped away like flies

[07:14] Dash Earthboy: people here have not hired me for nearly a decade
[07:14] iwandertoo Resident: Dash, what is your plan?
[07:14] Dash Earthboy: so the plan is to flee from here like Lot left Sodom...know the story?
[07:16] iwandertoo Resident: i think last time you spoke of going south
[07:17] iwandertoo Resident: of wanting to find a community of musicians
[07:17] Dash Earthboy: i will pack my car like the pioneers packed their Conestoga wagons and head west, probably sleeping in the car...gas must go on credit card as I am bankrupt...price of gas has influenced my staying here among hostile people for so long....lower gas price allows me more mileage before maxing out my credit

[07:29] Dash Earthboy: i'm looking forward to being finished with this AT&T Lite DSL connection
[07:29] Dash Earthboy: their quality has really gone down during the past couple years
[07:31] Dash Earthboy: and the laptop I have is not working as well in general, and especially in SL, as the one I was going to buy before being talked out of it by a Circuit City "expert" department manager who also lied to me to change my purchase plans

[07:32] Dash Earthboy: i was going to get an AMD laptop w/4G RAM and the graphics card that SL works well with
[07:33] Dash Earthboy: it came with Win64 too
[07:33] iwandertoo Resident: next one then
[07:33] Dash Earthboy: he convinced me to get this HP w/faster Intel CPUs claiming it would perform better simply because of the faster CPUs and engineering
[07:34] Dash Earthboy: and he promised it also came w/Win64
[07:35] Dash Earthboy: and guaranteed if I wasn't completely satisfied with his recommendation, he'd give me the one I had wanted for sale price after the the sale :)
[07:35] Dash Earthboy: he lied
[07:35] Dash Earthboy: and that's just one of the consumer problems I haven't been protected from over the years here
[07:36] Dash Earthboy: CarMax even claimed a little disclaimer in fine print on their window sticker relieved them of liability for listing features that were not part of the car
[07:37] Dash Earthboy: features upon which the price was based!
[07:37] Dash Earthboy: and the Georgia Attorney General let them get away with it
[07:37] Dash Earthboy: along with BBB and other consumer protection agencies
[07:38] Dash Earthboy: these things would not have happened in Illinois
[07:38] iwandertoo Resident: Dash, I'm sorry. I need to go. Moving house...and need to pick-up more boxes, etc.
[07:38] Dash Earthboy: i had great success in IL dealing with such consumer issues
