Gathering.
Kavi01 Resident: and so another session starts
Kavi01 Resident: greetings storm
Kavi01 Resident: :)
Sfindra Belar: hi storm
Storm Nordwind: Hi there!
Kavi01 Resident: is there any particular subject 2day?
Sfindra Belar: hi lex :)
Kavi01 Resident: namaste lex
Storm Nordwind: Unless you have started one, so far no there isn't! :)
--BELL--
Kavi01 Resident: nope we where just a chilling while every1 got here
Sfindra Belar: how about the topic of having no topic ? lol
Storm Nordwind: Hi Lex. May I ask if you have been here before?
Kavi01 Resident: lol
spiritwarrior Lexenstar: Namaste Kavi
spiritwarrior Lexenstar: Namste Storm, Hi Sfindra
spiritwarrior Lexenstar: :-)
oO0Oo Resident: Hi Storm, Kavi, Lex, and Sfindra.. Good to see you :)
Storm Nordwind: Hi there Sam :)
Sfindra Belar: hello samuo :)
Conveying meaning despite typos.
Kavi01 Resident: namastñe samud
spiritwarrior Lexenstar: Hello Samuo
Kavi01 Resident: ok make it official my spelling sux 2day :)
Storm Nordwind: Duly noted
Sfindra Belar: no problem lol
oO0Oo Resident: :) Typoes.. the body language of SL .. as Wol says
Storm Nordwind: Good morning Dash
Dash Earthboy: hey y'all
Sfindra Belar: hi dash
oO0Oo Resident: Hi Dash
Storm Nordwind: As long as the meaning gets across, then perhaps "variations" of spelling are all right? :)
Kavi01 Resident: well dealing with the clout of perception is already a big issue
Kavi01 Resident: let alone if we add typonese to it
oO0Oo Resident: | @gr33
Storm Nordwind: clout or cloud? (I like both ;)
Sfindra Belar: sa lnog as yuo cna raed it thne thers no prolbme ?
Kavi01 Resident: i meant clout
oO0Oo Resident: lol
oO0Oo Resident: Wunderbar
Kavi01 Resident: well u see sfindra even in correct language perception adds to the problem
Kavi01 Resident: it is already difficult as it is
Kavi01 Resident: at least in my experience
Sfindra Belar: does spelling change perception ?
Kavi01 Resident: even words seem to have their difficulty in putting a point across
Storm Nordwind: Hi there Santoshima!
Kavi01 Resident: at times i believe so
Santoshima Resident: hi storm, slowly moving forward
Dash Earthboy: hey San
Sfindra Belar: hi santoshima
oO0Oo Resident: Hi Santo
Kavi01 Resident: hello santo
spiritwarrior Lexenstar: Hello Santo
Santoshima Resident: hi hi hi sfindra, sam, kavi, dash, lex
Judging a writer by their spelling.
Sfindra Belar: i supose spelling might change someones attitude toward the writer
Storm Nordwind: Like spoken accent?
Sfindra Belar: and so then towards what is being written
Sfindra Belar: yes
Kavi01 Resident: indeed
Kavi01 Resident: if one can easily pass judgement on looks alone why not add to that spelling and vocabulary?
Kavi01 Resident: not that its good
Dash Earthboy: in the bars last night i discerned that even getting fragments of spoken words is sufficient to understand what a person is saying
Storm Nordwind: There are dialects I've heard some people claim to hear and not take the speaker seriously as a result.
Dash Earthboy: hey Susan
Kavi01 Resident: just natural i guess
Santoshima Resident: naturally conditioned
Kavi01 Resident: indeed i mean look at sl u can tell a noob by looking at how and what they type
oO0Oo Resident: Yes , similar in spoken language that is not known well, the speaker can be perceived to be less intelligent than they are
Kavi01 Resident: we developed our own dialect
Sfindra Belar: hi susan
Storm Nordwind: Hi Susan
Kavi01 Resident: hello susan
Dash Earthboy: i've seen research that people generally understand what is written even leaving out most vowels
iwandertoo Resident: waves to everyone
oO0Oo Resident: Hi iwandertoo
Santoshima Resident: good morning, susan
Dash Earthboy: and some consonents
Dash Earthboy: in English anywho
Sfindra Belar: would be interesting to experiment to see just how much can be left out and still be understandbale
spiritwarrior Lexenstar: hello Susan
Pattern matching from perception.
Kavi01 Resident: you know in a way some of the largest prolems with human nature lie in the fact of our brain trying to piece up reality from bits of perception
Storm Nordwind: When i arrived in SL five years ago, I quickly found (though I've lost the knack now) that I could discern an avatar's RL gender and approximate RL age, no matter how they chose to present on SL.
spiritwarrior Lexenstar: apparently a cambridge study shows leaving out vowels is easily understood
Kavi01 Resident: ok try me storm :)
spiritwarrior Lexenstar: or brain fills inthe details
Storm Nordwind: Read what I said!
Kavi01 Resident: ok lost the knack :)
Storm Nordwind: It was a survival thing and part of deliberately getting to know people. Within 6 months I met the woman who was to become my wife. So the need for it is no longer there! :)
Kavi01 Resident: :)
Kavi01 Resident: im happy for you and your wife
iwandertoo Resident: :)
Storm Nordwind smiles
oO0Oo Resident: ♡
Different views of the same event.
Kavi01 Resident: i have found that at least in my personal experience one event will be interpreted differently by 2 people
Santoshima Resident: interesting, storm
Storm Nordwind: Which particular event Kavi? ;-))
Kavi01 Resident: the both might have parts of the reality yet they both choose to piece up reality different
Kavi01 Resident: well for example
Kavi01 Resident: theres this story about the buddha
Kavi01 Resident: he once saw people plowing a field
Kavi01 Resident: as the earth turned
Kavi01 Resident: worms raised
Kavi01 Resident: and birds fed on the worms
Santoshima Resident: storm: would you confirm your guesses at that time? about Sl avitars / RL stats?
Kavi01 Resident: he acknowleged that
Kavi01 Resident: plowing was just an action
Kavi01 Resident: yet it was good or bad depending on perspective
Kavi01 Resident: good if human, bad if worm, good if bird
Kavi01 Resident: events are meaningless until our perception adds value to them based on perspective
Kavi01 Resident: same happens when we piece up reality and choose to assume
Kavi01 Resident: i might assume something is bad while some1 else assumes its good
Storm Nordwind: (San: When I was able to find out for sure, I was always right. But I was not always able to get corroboration.)
--BELL--
Piecing together.
Santoshima Resident: Kavi (kavi01): same happens when we piece up reality and choose to assume
Santoshima Resident: ? When?
Santoshima Resident: kavi, that is the nature of our lives
Santoshima Resident: we piece together
Kavi01 Resident: indeed yet u see that is also the source of unhappiness and sorrow and anger and a whole bunch of other emotions
Lack of "inherent" goodness.
Storm Nordwind: What's good for the eagle may not be good for the rabbit. By that reasoning, what's "good" is relative to an individual's or group's continued survival.
Kavi01 Resident: i for one end up believing a false story i choose to tell myself
Kavi01 Resident: indeed thus existance is devoid of goodness or badness it all ends up being a figment of our own creation
Kavi01 Resident: and my perspective
Storm Nordwind: Lack of "inherent" goodness
Kavi01 Resident: yes
Kavi01 Resident: i had to learn this the hard way im afraid
Kavi01 Resident: and im still trying to learn
Storm Nordwind: Would you care to illustrate?
Kavi01 Resident: hmm ok
Kavi's story.
Kavi01 Resident: i began having marital problems some years ago
Kavi01 Resident: my wife seeked her own independence which was good
Kavi01 Resident: yet i chose to believe she was pushing me away
Kavi01 Resident: i reacted based on fear
Kavi01 Resident: and developed anger
Kavi01 Resident: and ended up hurting her bad
Kavi01 Resident: and generating tons of bad kharma
Kavi01 Resident: i now know i shouldnt over react
Kavi01 Resident: and listen to the voices in my head
Kavi01 Resident: the main issue was
Kavi01 Resident: that i added the missing peices
Kavi01 Resident: and those pieces came from my own fears
Kavi01 Resident: thus i fought myself and not my wife
oO0Oo Resident looks gently at Kavi in appreciation
Kavi01 Resident: my own lacks of self love and appreciation
Kavi01 Resident: where the basis of my fears
Kavi01 Resident: and i projected myself on my own self image of my wife
Kavi01 Resident: thus now im fighting myself
Kavi01 Resident: and learning to be less assuming
Kavi01 Resident: thats pretty much it
Santoshima Resident: wonderful insights
Storm Nordwind: I'm very grateful for the candid story. Thank you!
Kavi01 Resident: lol only wish i had learned sooner
oO0Oo Resident nods
Kavi01 Resident: there was a ton of distruction and bad karma i must mature now
More to learn.
Storm Nordwind: Ah... perhaps we would not be here at all if we had no lessons to learn!
oO0Oo Resident: *
Kavi01 Resident: indeed theres always something to learn
Kavi01 Resident: the toughest part i have found so far
Kavi01 Resident: is doubting the self beliefs
Kavi01 Resident: u see i began an exercise
Kavi01 Resident: a very good one
Kavi01 Resident: every time a story popped in my head
Kavi01 Resident: one that i was sure of
Kavi01 Resident: i would turn skeptic and say no i choose no to believe it
Kavi01 Resident: after a while my mind popped up another one
Kavi01 Resident: equally as convincing
Storm Nordwind: That's its job!
Storm Nordwind waves to Bleu
Kavi01 Resident: i chose not to believe again
Bleu Oleander: hi all :)
Santoshima Resident: hi bleu
Kavi01 Resident: and again and again
Kavi01 Resident: then suddenly
Sfindra Belar: hi bleu :)
Dash Earthboy: hey bleu
Kavi01 Resident: i realized
iwandertoo Resident: (waves)
Stories the mind can tell.
Kavi01 Resident: my mind had told me 7 stories so far
Kavi01 Resident: each different
oO0Oo Resident: Hi Bleu
spiritwarrior Lexenstar: Hi Bleu
Kavi01 Resident: yet in every1 i was equally convince
Kavi01 Resident: convinced
Bleu Oleander waves all around
Kavi01 Resident: thus i began to mistrust my self image
Kavi01 Resident: until....
Kavi01 Resident: i reached a point where my mind offered no more stories
Kavi01 Resident: and for a brief instant the mind quieted down
Storm Nordwind: Every cloud looks convincingly real at it forms and passes - only to be replaced by the next cloud.
Kavi01 Resident: i have had to repeat that over and over
Yakuzza Lethecus: hey everyone
Bleu Oleander: hey Yaku
Storm Nordwind: Good afternoon Yaku
Sfindra Belar: hi yaku
Dash Earthboy: hey Yaku
iwandertoo Resident: (waves)
Kavi01 Resident: hey there yaku and bleu
oO0Oo Resident: Hi Yaku
Advice on skepticism.
Storm Nordwind: What advice would you give, Kavi, to others who found themselves in the same (mental) position?
Santoshima Resident: hello yakuzza
Kavi01 Resident: ok its a bit complex but here goes
Kavi01 Resident: first choose to be a skeptic of your own perception
Kavi01 Resident: dont believe every story your mind choses to place
Kavi01 Resident: dont believe who you think you are
Kavi01 Resident: and dont believe who you think others are
Kavi01 Resident: until you reach a point where
Kavi01 Resident: knowing what to believe is no longer important
Kavi01 Resident: for you see at least in my case
Kavi01 Resident: knowing was a defense mechanism
Kavi01 Resident: to feel in a certain degree of controll
Kavi01 Resident: over my own life
Kavi01 Resident: once i released that controll
Kavi01 Resident: i have found that i can be content
Kavi01 Resident: things just are
Kavi01 Resident: they are neither good nor bad
Storm Nordwind nods and smiles
Kavi01 Resident: and that helps me
Kavi01 Resident: to seek happiness within
Kavi01 Resident: and not outside of my self
oO0Oo Resident nods .. and meditation? part of that journey?
Kavi01 Resident: in essence the way of the buddha
--BELL--
Kavi01 Resident: oh yes
Kavi01 Resident: tons of it
oO0Oo Resident: :)
Living without guilt.
Kavi01 Resident: i have found it also helps out to fight guilt and once disposed of guilt i can move on forward into true and honest change
Santoshima Resident: <3
Kavi01 Resident: guilt is a very nasty sensation as its incapacitating
oO0Oo Resident nods
Kavi01 Resident: lol i should learn not to dominate conversations, once i shut down every1 is silent :)
Storm Nordwind: I have found many people look askance at me, even with contempt, when I've said in the past I feel no guilt. I'm not sure, but perhaps they feel guilt is an essential counterbalance for their whims, at least in their own life.
Kavi01 Resident: well you can and should feel regret
Kavi01 Resident: yet guilt parks u in one feeling
Bleu Oleander: i feel no guilt or regret
Kavi01 Resident: regret will allow you to see what you did as a mistake
Kavi01 Resident: and build upon it as a basis for change
Sfindra Belar feels blessed to be in the presence of so many buddhas :)
Kavi01 Resident: well im not sure im using the right words as english is not my main language
Storm Nordwind: Ah regret, from a Buddhist's point of view, is different. And I am a Buddhist, not a Shouldist! ;-))
Kavi01 Resident: :)
Kavi01 Resident: lol same here storm
Bleu Oleander: i can recognize mistakes and see them as learning opportunities without feeling guilt or regret
iwandertoo Resident: "a Shouldist"...:)
Forgiving oneself.
Kavi01 Resident: so as you can see theres a lot to learn
Kavi01 Resident: i have to forgive myself
oO0Oo Resident: :) @ Sfindra
Kavi01 Resident: and forgive others in order to builld ahead
Kavi01 Resident: as i wish not to be the same as i was
Kavi01 Resident: takes time
Storm Nordwind: Forgiveness benefits the forgiver.
Kavi01 Resident: and tons of patience
Kavi01 Resident: indeed
Kavi01 Resident: its liberating
Kavi01 Resident: of self
Kavi01 Resident: so there u have it my 2 cents of so called learning
Maturing bad karma? Or cleansing it before it ripens?
Kavi01 Resident: i only wish to be strong now
Kavi01 Resident: and learn of those mistakes
Kavi01 Resident: and i am accepting the fact i will have to mature the bad karma
Sfindra Belar: you sound very clear and refreshingly open , its wonderful
oO0Oo Resident smiles and breathes deeply
Santoshima Resident: :))
Kavi01 Resident: well u see sfindra openess is a must
Kavi01 Resident: mostly to self
Kavi01 Resident: as the source of a lot of fears
Kavi01 Resident: raises from trying to hide a bad image of self from one and from others
Kavi01 Resident: it is very easy to put the blame outside
Kavi01 Resident: yet the trick i believe is finding one's own responsibility
Santoshima Resident: always
Sfindra Belar: and loving self acceptance ? is that another way to say responsibility ?
Kavi01 Resident: i believe it comes with the territory if done correctly
Storm Nordwind: As for maturing bad karma, some Buddhists believe it's possible to purify it before it ripens - using techniques such as the Four Opponent Powers - though I'm not sure that's a topic for around the pool!
Kavi01 Resident: as bad self esteem also means u choose to believe the false stories about yourself
Kavi01 Resident: lol i need to look into that pronto!
Storm Nordwind chuckles
Letting go of outside approval.
Kavi01 Resident: my main mistake was that i chose to run away from myself and my life
Kavi01 Resident: 2day im no longer running away
Kavi01 Resident: or such is my aim
oO0Oo Resident: and you mentioned to become stronger Kavi
Kavi01 Resident: well lemme try and explain that strength
oO0Oo Resident: ty
Kavi01 Resident: self acceptance makes you stop seeking outside approval
Kavi01 Resident: makes u own yourself in a way
Kavi01 Resident: looking outside of oneself
Kavi01 Resident: makes you weak and dependant
Kavi01 Resident: on things and actions and people
Kavi01 Resident: u cant controll
Kavi01 Resident: thus fear and anguish arise if u do
Kavi01 Resident: in other words
Kavi01 Resident: if u can do something do it
Kavi01 Resident: if u cant do a thing then stop worrying about it
--BELL--
Kavi01 Resident: in a way ive found that to be oddly empowering and liberating
Storm Nordwind: Welcome back Santoshima :)
Santoshima Resident: ty
Kavi01 Resident: wb santo
Santoshima Resident: crashed ...
Losing control.
Bleu Oleander: are you seeking more control or less control over your "self"?
Sfindra Belar: :)
Kavi01 Resident: im seeking self acceptance
Kavi01 Resident: and
oO0Oo Resident: Thanks kavi. I can see the strength in what you said.
Kavi01 Resident: no control on behalf of my fears
Kavi01 Resident: in a way the one controll issue
Kavi01 Resident: is letting go of the controll my preconceptions have on me
Kavi01 Resident: im not sure if i clear enough
Santoshima Resident: yes, very clear
Sfindra Belar: finding your authentic self ?
Bleu Oleander: so it takes control to let go of control?
Kavi01 Resident: finding it and accepting it
Kavi01 Resident: no it takes skepticism to lose controll
Sfindra Belar: control or discipline ?
Kavi01 Resident: it takes letting go of ancient fears
Kavi01 Resident: i would chose discipline
Kavi01 Resident: more than controll
Letting go using skepticism... or childlike wonder?
Storm Nordwind: Skepticism is not the only method. I prefer to use childlike wonder!
Kavi01 Resident: :) i like that
Sfindra Belar: :-)
iwandertoo Resident: :)
Kavi01 Resident: yet that one escapes me as i had no happy childhood
Kavi01 Resident: i was a 5 yr old cynic
Kavi01 Resident: ok chat lag lol
Santoshima Resident: :)
oO0Oo Resident: ⊙﹏⊙
Kavi01 Resident: lol i suddenly realized i missed this convos
Kavi01 Resident: this was one of the first places i ever visited first time around in sl
Kavi01 Resident: ty santo :)
oO0Oo Resident: ¯\(°⏝°)/¯
Sfindra Belar drifts off into childlike wonder lol
Storm Nordwind chuckles
iwandertoo Resident: (waves quietly...best to everyone)
Storm Nordwind: Bye Susan
Sfindra Belar: waves back :)
Kavi01 Resident: bye susan
Bleu Oleander: bye Susan
Kavi01 Resident: oh btw
oO0Oo Resident: Bye iwandertoo
Enquiring after Pema.
Kavi01 Resident: does pema still come around
Kavi01 Resident: ?
Santoshima Resident: bye, susan ~ nice pictogram, sam
Kavi01 Resident: he was quite cool as i recall
Storm Nordwind: Oh yes. But in RL he is currently in Japan, so the times are different
oO0Oo Resident: Yes, he still comes around and still cool ;)
spiritwarrior Lexenstar waves to everyone
spiritwarrior Lexenstar: Namaste
Storm Nordwind waves
Kavi01 Resident: yes i used to meet him here in the evenings when i got bit by the addictive sl bug
Dash Earthboy: waves
Bleu Oleander waves
Sfindra Belar: namaste lex
Kavi01 Resident waves to lex
Santoshima Resident: bye lex, gtsy
oO0Oo Resident: bye Lex
Yakuzza Lethecus: bye lex
Afraid of domination.
Kavi01 Resident: lol does anyone have insight to share
Kavi01 Resident: ?
Kavi01 Resident: im afraid i dominated the convo
Kavi01 Resident: which is a natural fault in myself
Dash Earthboy: ty for the artwork San :) ... pax et bonum y'all
Santoshima Resident: not at all, kavi
Santoshima Resident: we were all part
Storm Nordwind: Bye Dash
oO0Oo Resident: Bye Dash
Yakuzza Lethecus: bye dash
Santoshima Resident: bye dash, dashing off
Kavi01 Resident: lol
Sfindra Belar: perhaps you guided it rather than dominated ?
Storm Nordwind: When we speak, we speak. When we listen, we listen. :)
Kavi01 Resident: i try to be aware of it as i have been told im 2 dominating
Kavi01 Resident: thus i wish to learn from that
Bleu Oleander: always appreciates listening to different points of view :)
Kavi01 Resident: take it as a security blanket
Sfindra Belar: ah :)
Blame it on the host!
Storm Nordwind: You can blame me if you feel the need to. I encouraged you all along the way! ;-)
Kavi01 Resident: lol no its ok
Sfindra Belar: lol
Kavi01 Resident: u see i do a lot of public speaking
Kavi01 Resident: and found that i was good at it
Storm Nordwind: Same here :)
Kavi01 Resident: yet i tend to do the same and behave the same in 1 on 1 convos
Kavi01 Resident: and well some ppl resent it
Kavi01 Resident: and i understand it
Storm Nordwind: Sometimes you learn more by speaking, sometimes more by listening. :)
Sfindra Belar: probably some times it is more appropriate than others
Winners and losers.
Bleu Oleander: there's a difference to me between public speaking and having a conversation
Santoshima Resident: brb
Kavi01 Resident: and whats that bleu?
Bleu Oleander: a conversation is a sharing of ideas
Bleu Oleander: between people
Bleu Oleander: a give and take
Kavi01 Resident: very wise take on it :)
Bleu Oleander: public speaking seems more one way
Kavi01 Resident: it is
Kavi01 Resident: and lends itself to debate
Storm Nordwind: An invitation to dance on the stage, rather than just sitting in the audience.
Kavi01 Resident: thus theres this inherent sense of there being winners and losers
Kavi01 Resident: ive been told that when i speak i give out lessons to ppl
Bleu Oleander: I don't see winners and losers in a conversation
Kavi01 Resident: and that my ways seem to project that i have an absolute truth
Kavi01 Resident: o me neither
Kavi01 Resident: but thats the message i seem to project
Speaking styles and motivations, and the perspicacity of friends.
Storm Nordwind: The best public speakers listen with every ounce of their being all the time they speak.
Bleu Oleander: absolute truth?
Kavi01 Resident: well as my style is professor like
Kavi01 Resident: ive been told i seem too sure and dogmatic
--BELL--
Storm Nordwind: If your motivation is to help others, then you can choose to change your style. If that's not your motivation, perhaps it does not matter?
Kavi01 Resident: some ppl take that as if i dont take their pov into account. I never believed it yet now i know i might have done that on several ocassions
oO0Oo Resident: so.. perhaps to allow for, and invite unknown points of view, engenders listening and exchange
Kavi01 Resident: well i have learned my inner motivation was one of projecting self security
Kavi01 Resident: and hiding my dark side
Storm Nordwind: People who like you or want to like you with see through you anyway - including all of your dark corners! So it seems to me to be a waste of time to hide your dark side! :)
Controling the uncontrollable?
Bleu Oleander: you seem very much in "control"
Kavi01 Resident: thus i now question my motivation
Kavi01 Resident: yes and that i believe is part of the issue
Kavi01 Resident: i mean why be in control?
Kavi01 Resident: whats the point?
oO0Oo Resident: a journey of healing for one
Kavi01 Resident: indeed thus a false idea
Kavi01 Resident: and my target of elimination
Sfindra Belar: for me control is about feeling safe
Kavi01 Resident: safe from whom?
Sfindra Belar: i dont know, just a sense of safety
Kavi01 Resident: and can u truly be in controll?
Sfindra Belar: no
Bleu Oleander: we just think we can
Kavi01 Resident: ive learned that trying to controll the uncontrollable only gives rise to fear, anguish and anger
Sfindra Belar: like clinging onto the edge of the cliff ... lol
Kavi01 Resident: 4 examply if im insecure of self i can turn into a jealous bastard
Sfindra Belar: lol
Kavi01 Resident: and by trying to act on controll i manage to push ppl away
Kavi01 Resident: and thus fulfill my own negative fantasy
Kavi01 Resident: in a way fear makes u act and the result is fear feeding itself
oO0Oo Resident: clear insights into your patterns, and awareness is the key
Kavi01 Resident: yes and man it takes a lot of work
oO0Oo Resident: :)
oO0Oo Resident: keep going
Dissolving insecurity by attending to others.
Storm Nordwind: Insecurity, micromanagement and control are often linked. But I hear some find that concentrating on developing empathy causes those things to dissolve, or at least take on a sense of proportion.
Kavi01 Resident: though u see it takes more time and effor to believe the lies in your head than to erase your belief system
Santoshima Resident: heard that too
Santoshima Resident: in response to storm
Kavi01 Resident: sounds like very wise words to me
Santoshima Resident: sometimes just going for a walk helps ...
Bleu Oleander: :)
Kavi01 Resident: hmmm i wish i could yet theres an issue there
Kavi01 Resident: when u fight externalities u can always chose to leave
Kavi01 Resident: take a breather so to speak
Kavi01 Resident: yet when u chose to fight yourself and your beliefs theres no escaping
Sfindra Belar: you can listen to the crickets in the grass
Kavi01 Resident: true i should do that more often
Kavi01 Resident: i do it late at nights
Kavi01 Resident: as i smoke my second pack lol
Sfindra Belar: :)
Sfindra Belar listens to the crickets
Kavi01 Resident: btw i wish to thank you guys as this session has been very helpfull and insightfull for me
Kavi01 Resident: :)
Storm Nordwind: Glad to hear it. :)
Sfindra Belar: thank you too kavi :)
Sfindra Belar: for sharing
Santoshima Resident: ty, kavi
Santoshima Resident: hi Corvi
Storm Nordwind: Corvi - welcome! :)
Kavi01 Resident: hello corvi
Sfindra Belar: hi corvi :)
Kavi01 Resident: lol guess not
Corvuscorva Nightfire: good to see you all!
Bleu Oleander: hi Corvi :)
Yakuzza Lethecus: hey corvi :)
oO0Oo Resident: loving kindness toward self.. makes battles with externalities soften and lesson in my experience.. and caring for others.. dissolves sometimes preoccupation with self.
oO0Oo Resident: Hi Corvi
Kavi01 Resident: oyes
When not to give advice.
Kavi01 Resident: and oh btw heres a piece of advice
Kavi01 Resident: always do your best
Kavi01 Resident: and dont get frustrated
Kavi01 Resident: takes time
Kavi01 Resident: a lot of time
Kavi01 Resident: and there are plenty of pitfalls on the way
Kavi01 Resident: u should not choose the path of discouragement
Storm Nordwind: And don't beat yourself up when you fall down one!
Kavi01 Resident: indeed
Bleu Oleander: sometimes good to heed one's own advice :)
Kavi01 Resident: yes if u find that advice arises from a calm mind
Kavi01 Resident: and not based o fear, inner judgement, etc
Santoshima Resident: kindness to one's self
Bleu Oleander: a good rule of thumb for me is not to give advice unless asked
Kavi01 Resident: lol now theres a piece of advice i do need to take
Kavi01 Resident: :)
Bleu Oleander: lol
Sfindra Belar: advice could be like noticing the rain cloud, before the storm lol
Kavi01 Resident: yes albeit be aware that seeing a dark cloud does not necesarilly mean rain will come
Kavi01 Resident: in essence stop assuming it will rain because of the cloud
--BELL--
Storm Nordwind waves to Bleu
Bleu Oleander: must leave .... have a great day all
Kavi01 Resident waves
Kavi01 Resident: same 2 u
Bleu Oleander: take care
Corvuscorva Nightfire waves
Yakuzza Lethecus: bye bleu
Santoshima Resident: bye bleu
Kavi01 Resident: ok i should leave 2 bfore i get hooked on this lil thing again and will just drop by the buddha center for a brief meditation
Kavi01 Resident: ty for your kind words and your ears
Kavi01 Resident: :)
oO0Oo Resident waves too. So nice to be with you all!
Sfindra Belar: ty kavi :)
Storm Nordwind: Nice to see you Kavi. Bye for now
Yakuzza Lethecus: bye sam kavi, everyone
Kavi01 Resident: namasté every1
Sfindra Belar: waves
Santoshima Resident: ty, bye O, bye kavi ~
oO0Oo Resident bows. Gassho _/|\_
Storm Nordwind: Bye Sam
Corvuscorva Nightfire: bye Kavi...and all others leaving...sam...
Sfindra Belar: me too
Sfindra Belar: namaste :)
Corvuscorva Nightfire: sfindra
Santoshima Resident: so long sfindra
What are we listening to?
Corvuscorva Nightfire smiles cause I came so late all must go
Storm Nordwind: I'm staying for a while Corvi. Always nice to have you here, no matter how late!
Corvuscorva Nightfire smiles.
Corvuscorva Nightfire: I'm glad of it, Storm.
Corvuscorva Nightfire: laughs..I'm listening to the doors
Corvuscorva Nightfire: and "riders of the storm"
Corvuscorva Nightfire: has come on
Storm Nordwind: haha!
Corvuscorva Nightfire grins
Santoshima Resident: fantastic
Santoshima Resident: i'm listening to david abram
Corvuscorva Nightfire: are you?
Corvuscorva Nightfire: and you, Storm?
Storm Nordwind: I'm listening to the crickets and owls here - and the Interstate in the background!
