The Guardian for this meeting was Adams Rubble. The comments are by Adams Rubble.

We covered a number of different topics this morning, reinstalling an exhibit, checking out experts at a library, and in a session with some quiet periods we discussed the peace sessions coming up.

    FcSeeker Resident: <3
    Adams Rubble: Hello Fc :)

iwandertoo Resident: (apologies, just figured out something that was puzzling for some time)
FcSeeker Resident: having peace inside and in mind <3
    Adams Rubble: :)
iwandertoo Resident: how are you, adams?
Adams Rubble: It has been a busy time for me the past few weeks
Adams Rubble: We are redoing the Hindu wong of the Sacred Art Museum in our spare time for fun
    FcSeeker Resident: <3
    Adams Rubble: wing
iwandertoo Resident: how how did you get interested in doing it initially?
    FcSeeker Resident: hi Arch
    Adams Rubble: Hello Archmage :)
    Adams Rubble: in the museum?
    iwandertoo Resident: hi arch
    iwandertoo Resident: yes, the museum
Adams Rubble: I wanted to do an Art History project
Adams Rubble: the opportunity came to mix it with PaB and so the sacred theme was chosen
Adams Rubble: One of the goals is to increase understanding
    iwandertoo Resident: ty
Adams Rubble: The Hindu wing had some inaccuracies
Adams Rubble: It is the first major reinstallation of a permanent wing
    FcSeeker Resident: hi Eliza
    Adams Rubble: Hello Eliza :)
Eliza Madrigal: Hi Adams, FcS, Arch, Susan :)
iwandertoo Resident: and will be an ever growing body of knowledge. what we know today plus all the things we'll learn through discovery.
    iwandertoo Resident: hi Eliza
Adams Rubble is glad SL eyes are better than RL ones to see Eliza and Susan across the fountain
    Eliza Madrigal smiles
Eliza Madrigal smiles to see FcS's Cultivator tag too :)) Welcome
FcSeeker Resident: thank you Eliza :)
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
    FcSeeker Resident: grins
    --BELL--
    FcSeeker Resident: Hello Dash
    Adams Rubble: Hello dash
Eliza Madrigal reads poem additions... nice
    Eliza Madrigal: Hi Dash
iwandertoo Resident: the comment was related to the art history museum and inaccuricies
iwandertoo Resident: how in time it will evolve as new discoveries are made
    Dash Earthboy: hey y'all
    iwandertoo Resident: hi dash
    FcSeeker Resident: wb
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Dash Earthboy: inaccuracies in the art history museum?
Eliza Madrigal: Inaccuracies with regard to SL comparisons to RL structures?
Adams Rubble: I mentioned earlier that we are reinstalling the Hindu wing in the museum
iwandertoo Resident: adams is completing a re-installment
    Eliza Madrigal: Oh, I see
    Adams Rubble: Correcting inaccuricies there
iwandertoo Resident: i was addding that as our context grows through discovery of new artifacts, or finding like artifacts in new places...as these additional things are discovered it will evolve
Adams Rubble: (It was a bit embarassing)
Eliza Madrigal: it is one of the things about 'growth' and time, that when we look back it can feel embarrassing :)
    Adams Rubble: you betcha
Eliza Madrigal: without that though, it prob means not refining :)
Eliza Madrigal: do you have a hindu advisor?
    Adams Rubble: :)
    Adams Rubble: Some good books
Eliza Madrigal: ah ... Oh! heard that there are library programs starting up where you check out a 'person' for a day....
Eliza Madrigal: someone who signs up with a certain expertise, hah
    Adams Rubble: :)
Adams Rubble: it must require a good bit of time for the experts
Eliza Madrigal: I wonder... it is just in experimental stages
Adams Rubble: It would be nice to bring home a guru for a day :)
    Eliza Madrigal: :))
    --BELL--
    FcSeeker Resident: hi Zen
Eliza Madrigal: Hi Zen :) I'll IM you with the conversation so far
Archmage Atlantis: This session belongs to Adams
    iwandertoo Resident: hi zen
    Zen Arado: Hi all
    Adams Rubble: Hello Zen :)
Eliza Madrigal wonders if one can check out more than one person at a time... interdisciplinary
Eliza Madrigal: stage a dinner conversation last minute, hehe
Adams Rubble: As long as they don;t throw food :)
    Dash Earthboy: hey Zen
    Eliza Madrigal: hehe
Archmage Atlantis: I guess I will not be invited....throwing food is my gift
    Adams Rubble giggles
    Eliza Madrigal: ;-)
    FcSeeker Resident: hi Xirana
    Adams Rubble: Hello Xirana :)
    Dash Earthboy: hey Xirana
    Eliza Madrigal: Hi Xirana :)
    iwandertoo Resident: hi xirana
    Xirana Oximoxi: hi everyone:)
    Zen Arado: Hi Xirana
    Xirana Oximoxi: hi Zen :)
Xirana Oximoxi: are you silent? :)
    Eliza Madrigal: http://www.seattlepi.com/local/article/At-this-library-you-can-check-out-a-person-1289236.php
    Adams Rubble: not officilly Xirana
Eliza Madrigal: Not yet Xirana :) Wednesday
    Zen Arado: just me :)
    Xirana Oximoxi: :))
    Xirana Oximoxi: yes, wednesday:)
Xirana Oximoxi: is it possible to read the poem yet, or we must wait?
Adams Rubble: anything is possible Xirana
    Eliza Madrigal giggles
Xirana Oximoxi: lol Adams:)) maybe not everything...even if in SL all is easier:)
    Adams Rubble: :)
Zen Arado: I have to do a silent session on Wednesday
Eliza Madrigal points to Xirana's right...
    Archmage Atlantis: Read it please
Dash Earthboy: pax et bonum y'all
Zen Arado: wonder fi I can say hi to people?
    Eliza Madrigal waves to Dash
    Adams Rubble: bye Dash
    FcSeeker Resident: waves to Dash
Eliza Madrigal: I think not, Zen
    Zen Arado: P&B Dash
Eliza Madrigal: you could IM if really compelled
Xirana Oximoxi: ohhh !!!! lol.... I've been really 'blind'!!!! :))
Adams Rubble laughs at the thought of a PaB session without hellos and goodbyes
    Zen Arado: ah yes
    Eliza Madrigal: :)) @ Xirana
Zen Arado: that i s still talking though?
    Eliza Madrigal: yes
    Adams Rubble: yes
    FcSeeker Resident: <3
Eliza Madrigal: the bell is the only one allowed to talk
Zen Arado: don't thnk anyone will come
Adams Rubble: the avatars will need a secret waving animation
Eliza Madrigal: (which isn't to say that there won't be slip-ups etc)
    Zen Arado: yeh could wave
    Eliza Madrigal: waving is good
    Zen Arado: a silent wave
Eliza Madrigal: if in RL there would be smiles and giggles probably
    Zen Arado: no rustling
    Eliza Madrigal: silent giggles
    FcSeeker Resident: ...silent tears also...
    Eliza Madrigal: mmmmm
Adams Rubble: everyone can smlle in RL :)
Zen Arado: I have spent plenty of time at silent retreats
Zen Arado: barely notice the silence
Eliza Madrigal: what dooes one 'see' in being silent for a day, is the question...
Adams Rubble: The GOC may have to do lots of IMing to keep everyone silent
Zen Arado: still so much going on
Eliza Madrigal: yes I think so Adams :)
Eliza Madrigal: Zen, you mean inner loops?
    Eliza Madrigal: soundtracks, etc?
    Zen Arado: simpler than that
Adams Rubble: There are many meditation groups in SL where people sit quietly for periods of time
Zen Arado: you just don't notice very quickly
Archmage Atlantis: Soon, the lodge will be
Adams Rubble: It will be easy to do the log Zen :)
    Archmage Atlantis: Going to meditate
    Eliza Madrigal: :))
    Archmage Atlantis: Namaste and Blessings
Zen Arado: I don't think IM'ing is appropriate either
    Adams Rubble: bye Arch :)
    Eliza Madrigal: bye Arch :)
Zen Arado: that could get into a conversation
    Xirana Oximoxi: bye Arch:)
    FcSeeker Resident: bye Arch
Eliza Madrigal: yes but seems unavoidable in an open group Zen
    Zen Arado: bye Arch
    --BELL--
Eliza Madrigal: what are some of the more subtle noticings in a silent retreat, I wonder
Zen Arado: hwo do you glare at someone in SL?
    Eliza Madrigal glares at Zen
Zen Arado: is there a shhhh gesture?
    Eliza Madrigal: big hammer?
    Zen Arado: :)
Eliza Madrigal: or emanations of 'shhhh'
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Zen Arado: could put a sign up?
    Zen Arado: 'No talking please'
Eliza Madrigal: yes, I think we'll do that, and a note to give visitors
    Zen Arado: yes
Zen Arado: a notecars is a good idea
    Zen Arado: notecard
Adams Rubble puts away her hammer
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Xirana Oximoxi: I think a notecard is the best solution... if someone is not aware of the day, it will be easier to understand
    Eliza Madrigal nods
Eliza Madrigal: and the host could have a few set lines to IM
Zen Arado: yes and it avoids being drawn into conversation
Eliza Madrigal: if necessary, that way it is 'utilitarian talking'
Zen Arado: functional speech we call it
Adams Rubble: and the hammer not such a great device for peace day
    Eliza Madrigal: ya think? hahahha
    Adams Rubble: hehe
Zen Arado: 'If I had a hammer'
Eliza Madrigal: maybe we should have a 'get it out of your system' session on tuesday... like a bachelors party
Eliza Madrigal laughs and realizes her ideas this morning are not exactly enlightened
Zen Arado: hey it's only one day
    Zen Arado: :)
    Zen Arado: not a lifetime
Eliza Madrigal: hey its only one lifetime not eternity
    Eliza Madrigal: ;-)
    Adams Rubble: :)
    Xirana Oximoxi: :)
Zen Arado: wonders what an enlightened idea would be like
Eliza Madrigal: 'a thought that is nowhere supported'
Zen Arado: it would just wash over us
Adams Rubble: blowing out a candle :)
    Eliza Madrigal: mmm
    iwandertoo Resident: innovation
Zen Arado: we would quickly move to some thing more sensible
iwandertoo Resident: elegant or simplistic...represent enlightened thinking
    Eliza Madrigal: simple, rings
Zen Arado: it would probably be too obvious
Zen Arado: we would need to complicate it a bit
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Eliza Madrigal: 'does a group have buddha nature?'
    Adams Rubble: sangha?
    Eliza Madrigal: mmm
FcSeeker Resident: thinks that all groups are sangha
Adams Rubble thinks Fc is right although not all are good ones :)
Eliza Madrigal: are they? are they sangha if joined mindlessly? a default?
Adams Rubble notes a value judgement in "good oens"
    Adams Rubble: ones
FcSeeker Resident: thinks that to receive information is unavoidable if joins anyway
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
FcSeeker Resident: there's always mind joining
iwandertoo Resident: what is meant by this, Adams?
iwandertoo Resident: your reference to 'value judgments'
Eliza Madrigal: 'sangha' is a mystery to me... but what a curious phrase FcS 'mind joining' hmm
FcSeeker Resident: receiving information leads always to learning...the question just is that when
FcSeeker Resident: sanga is when people gather together
Adams Rubble: Susan, I had said not all sangha are good ones and that is a value judgement on my part :)
FcSeeker Resident: basicly it's said of gatherings where people take part knowingly in order to learn from each other
    iwandertoo Resident: yes, i see.
    iwandertoo Resident: thank you
    --BELL--
Eliza Madrigal: yes I guess I tend to think of sangha as mindful, supportive of spiritual aims etc
Eliza Madrigal: village hall time, waves
FcSeeker Resident: but to me it's only one word to describe what happenes always when people meet each other , no matter if immediately...like learning usually takes much time...
    Zen Arado: waves
    Xirana Oximoxi: waves
    FcSeeker Resident: waves
Adams Rubble: life learning can take a lifetime :)
    FcSeeker Resident: exactly
Adams Rubble: Guess it is time to draw this session to a close
    Xirana Oximoxi: yes! always learning:)
Adams Rubble: thank you all :)
Xirana Oximoxi: ok... see you all soon:))
    iwandertoo Resident: thank you
Xirana Oximoxi: thanks to you Adamsn and all
    FcSeeker Resident: namaste
Adams Rubble: bye until we meet in the hall (giggles)
    Zen Arado: thanks Adams
