    Alfred Kelberry: wait...
Alfred Kelberry: oh, right. it's 1 pm - worst hour for a pab session.
Alfred Kelberry: and i have a nice topic to discuss
Korel Laloix: Sorry... was AFK.. what is your topic?
    Alfred Kelberry: surprisingly, dreams
Alfred Kelberry: one peculiar fact, actually
Korel Laloix: I have maybe remember five dreams in my entire life.
Korel Laloix: But please go on.

Alfred Kelberry: ok, here it is: blind people from birth can not see images in their dreams. although their auditory, tactile and olfactory senses get increased.
Korel Laloix: I think I knew that... not sure where I read it though.
Korel Laloix: Probably when I was researching my own insmonia.

Alfred Kelberry: i wonder how is it tied with the phenomenon of dream reading that is so popular among the visual ones
    Qt Core: hi korel, mighty
    Korel Laloix: Heya
    Alfred Kelberry: qt :)
Alfred Kelberry: good to see you
Alfred Kelberry: another interesting trivia, which i can't confirm, is that we can only dream of faces that we have already seen in rl.
Korel Laloix: Would be difficult to prove that.
Qt Core: i heard that many times and (for me it make sense)
Alfred Kelberry: i could swear i've seen many that are not familiar to me
Korel Laloix: But would be interesting to try and design the research.
Korel Laloix: But did you just happen to glance at them in the supermarket?
Qt Core: how many people you have seen in the mall last time you were there, ?
    Qt Core: ;-)
Alfred Kelberry: kori, yes... that was my thought :)
Korel Laloix: I dont know why faces would be special though.
Qt Core: until a couple years ago i almost never see recognizable faces in my dreams
Korel Laloix: I have dreampt about things and places with good detail....
Alfred Kelberry: it would mean that dreams are not that creative, being unable to construct a random face
Korel Laloix: I rarely remember my dreams and they are always bad.

    --BELL--

Alfred Kelberry: i used to fly a lot when i was a teen, not in my 20s... :/
Qt Core: i always compare dreaming to the defragging process of an hard disk, so the lack of creativity don't surprise me, the apparence of creativity is just due to the size of our memory
Alfred Kelberry: qt, i also hold a pragmatic view on dreams
Alfred Kelberry: to me they are nothing but random imagery :)
Alfred Kelberry: and a useful interface for computer interaction

Qt Core: but still they may seem relevant to topics we are deep in in the day as those may leave crumbs around
Alfred Kelberry: as in, dream like experience of sl
    Alfred Kelberry: qt, yes
Qt Core: on a technical level the quality of my dream improved since i found SL
Qt Core: better photography and scenery
    Qt Core: so to speak

Alfred Kelberry: although, i think the path to unravel the mystery of dreams is neurological and not meditative
    Alfred Kelberry: qt, interesting
Alfred Kelberry: maybe your monitor contrast is too high? :)
    Qt Core: :)
Alfred Kelberry: i never had a dream about sl. not sure what it may imply.
Alfred Kelberry: maybe cause i think of it more as a chat, rather than the world :)
Qt Core: no lag, probably ;-)

Alfred Kelberry: oh, read about a whale today
    Alfred Kelberry: nicknamed 54 hertz (i think it's 54)
    Alfred Kelberry: ah, 52
    Alfred Kelberry: http://blogs.discovery.com/animal_ne...the-world.html
Alfred Kelberry: thus guy is singing on the frequency that no one is able to hear of his fellow species
    Eliza Madrigal: Hi Boxy
Alfred Kelberry: u.s. navy found him in 1994. he's been swimming the oceans alone since then for 20 years

I arrive to play with the board not realizing interesting topics had been in play...

    board watching_001.png
    Alfred Kelberry: eliza!
    Alfred Kelberry: aha
    Alfred Kelberry: new pic
Alfred Kelberry: did not like the long hair? :)
Eliza Madrigal: yes... and Bleu gave me editing priveleges to try out
Eliza Madrigal: Well, I changed my hair and it had good reviews :)
Alfred Kelberry: i like your longer hair more :)
Alfred Kelberry: oh, sun is up too
    Alfred Kelberry: and zen!
Eliza Madrigal: She jumped into a session this morning :) changing with me
Eliza Madrigal: so you see me now at 7pm on Mondays... we'll see how that goes
Alfred Kelberry: storm doesn't fit in here. he's got a suspicious look :)

Alfred Kelberry: i wonder how empty 1 pm monday is
Eliza Madrigal: it used to be a really full session
Eliza Madrigal: was stim's, then mick's
    Alfred Kelberry: hmm
Eliza Madrigal: now there is original face on mondays
    Alfred Kelberry: ah, when?
Eliza Madrigal: that goes on from 11:30 to 2, I think
    Alfred Kelberry: ok
Alfred Kelberry: bad slot then :)
Eliza Madrigal: :) were you thinking of trying that one?

    --BELL--

    Alfred Kelberry: yea
Alfred Kelberry: others don't work for me well
Eliza Madrigal: those who attend OF are zen, aph bruce cal san druth and darren
    Alfred Kelberry: maybe tue
Eliza Madrigal: tuesday is dream workshop
    Alfred Kelberry: 1 pm?
    Eliza Madrigal: yes
    Eliza Madrigal: at kira
    Alfred Kelberry: haha
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Alfred Kelberry: no wonder these 2 slots are empty
Alfred Kelberry: i'm out of options then
Eliza Madrigal: seems so.... hm...7pms are too late for you
    Alfred Kelberry: yea
Eliza Madrigal: but thank you for looking
    Alfred Kelberry: :)

    Eliza Madrigal: Hi Qt, Kori
Alfred Kelberry: qt, are you going to venice?
    Qt Core: hi Eliza
    Qt Core: no
Alfred Kelberry: wait, i'll go get a nice fresh yummy bun...
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Eliza Madrigal: nice to see you Qt
    Eliza Madrigal: been a while
Alfred Kelberry: qt, ever been to venice?
Qt Core: it is (i'm online scarcely lately)
Qt Core: only for a couple half day for some exhibits
    Eliza Madrigal: ah
Qt Core: some 25 years ago
    Eliza Madrigal: Hi Bertram :)
    Bertram Jacobus: hi friends :-)
Alfred Kelberry: qt, you! some people dream to go there and you live a few km away :)
    Qt Core: hi Bertram

Eliza Madrigal: Alfred, see this session can sometimes be lively even with OF going on... may want to test it
    Alfred Kelberry: well, yea
    Alfred Kelberry: berty! :)
    Bertram Jacobus: a mighty pirate ! :-)
Qt Core: i'm lazy, i know Alf
Alfred Kelberry: when i see berty's av, i feel sense of calmness and peace settling in :)
    Eliza Madrigal smiles
Alfred Kelberry: qt, i think it's the same for any locals
    Qt Core: i agree
Alfred Kelberry: some people live in paris and never been up on eiffel tower :)
Qt Core: i live less than 20 km from Leonardo's Last supper and i never ssen it too (for this i feel at least a bit guilty)
Alfred Kelberry: part of routine landscape
    Alfred Kelberry: qt :)

    board watching_003.png
Bertram Jacobus: hi bleu ! :-)
    Eliza Madrigal: Hi Bleu :)
    Qt Core: hi bleu
Alfred Kelberry: bleu the artsy goddess! :)
    Bleu Oleander: hi all :)
Alfred Kelberry: i think bleu likes being a goddess and worshiped by her loyal flock :)
    Bleu Oleander: haha
    Qt Core: who wouldn't ?
    Alfred Kelberry: qt, indeed :)
Eliza Madrigal goddess of the flock... see a new avie coming....
    Bleu Oleander: oooo
    Bleu Oleander: yes
Alfred Kelberry: how does it look?
Eliza Madrigal: birds emanating from poofer...
    Qt Core: divine ;-)
    Alfred Kelberry: :)
    Eliza Madrigal: :) divine, yes
    Bleu Oleander: :)
Alfred Kelberry: if someone didn't know, this amazing board with pictures is bleu's work :)
    Bleu Oleander: mp :))
Bertram Jacobus: ah - cool , nice !
Eliza Madrigal: soon to have framed pup :)
    Bleu Oleander: yes!
    Alfred Kelberry: perhaps :)
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Bleu Oleander: pup in a box
Alfred Kelberry: oh, i see kittens
    Bleu Oleander: lots
    Eliza Madrigal: hmmm
    Alfred Kelberry: poof
Qt Core: politically incorrect rain, only cats, only one dog
    Bertram Jacobus: lol
    Bleu Oleander: ha!
Alfred Kelberry: qt, leave it to americans. it's a perfectly fine rain for europe :)

    --BELL--

Bertram Jacobus: what did you you say about compassion this week so far ? any insights ? :-)
Alfred Kelberry: i find it odd how people are so careful not to say something distantly upsetting about blacks or jews, or other "politically incorrect" remarks. i think it's nonsense to what degree this has been raised to.
Eliza Madrigal: I don't think it is wrong to learn to be sensitive
Bertram Jacobus: to me, that is again a matter of language boxy : in my own language i can much better handle these things ! ...
Alfred Kelberry: berty, it's about culture, that unfortunately takes its toll on europe and other places
Eliza Madrigal: an aside: I'm happy with the short hair... not sure how I'll manage such busy mondays... will want to go to sun's artsy/music session, and boxy's structured theme session, then mine
Qt Core: the idea my not be wrong but as always pushing it overboard...
    Bleu Oleander: full day Eliza!
Eliza Madrigal: yes will have to play skip stones

Bleu Oleander: so mp, are you going to do the monday 1pm now?
Qt Core: i've read about people speaking about "persons of gender" not to say the offensive (?!) women!
Bertram Jacobus: your avatar looks wonderful eliza (!) ... :-)
Eliza Madrigal: thanks so much Bertram
Eliza Madrigal: re compassion, this morning Bruce shared gazing at the Milky Way and being rather 'taken in' by it... a shift of perspective....

Bertram Jacobus: and alf - i think, the so called "political correctness" should be a matter of the hearts, not matter of politics (!) ... ;-)
Bertram Jacobus: ah - a total new aspect of compassion to me eliza - ty !
Alfred Kelberry: i hope for a shift of perspective in political correctness too :)
    Bertram Jacobus: hehe ;-)
Eliza Madrigal: there will always be 'psychic abrasiveness' in the world :)
    Bleu Oleander: :(

Alfred Kelberry: eliza/bleu: but seriously, don't you think it's a bit over the top?
Eliza Madrigal: but I don't see that being more sensitive has cost me anything
Eliza Madrigal: not really Boxy, doesn't keep me up at night... lots of things do, but not that
Bertram Jacobus: but i find, we can choose, on what we put our focus and what we support and try to let grow : friendship for example or social warmth and such ...
Eliza Madrigal: there was a lot of damage done, for instance, in not respecting various cultures and trying to civilize or school them forcibly & without learning about them
Eliza Madrigal: so why not take the time
    Eliza Madrigal: in little ways

Alfred Kelberry: take time for what?
Bertram Jacobus: ok friends - befor the bell goes again - late for me - ty and byee ! ...
Alfred Kelberry: berty, nice of you to pop up :)
Eliza Madrigal: beneath "political correctness" there is a request
    Eliza Madrigal: ?
    Bleu Oleander: bye bye Bert!
    Eliza Madrigal: Nite Bert :)
Bertram Jacobus: ty again ! :-)
Eliza Madrigal: hugs, thanks for being here
Qt Core: the problem may be in the institutionalization of that, not for the kind gesture of the single

    --BELL--

Eliza Madrigal: yes that may be different
Alfred Kelberry: eliza, this request is biased and overloaded and already been fulfilled by society at large
Qt Core: i have to go too, bye all
    Bleu Oleander: bye Qt
    Eliza Madrigal: bye Qt :)
    Alfred Kelberry: caio, qt
Alfred Kelberry: ok, not a popular topic :)
Eliza Madrigal: don't agree ... political correctness doesn't change hearts ...
Alfred Kelberry: eliza, it does change our minds though, tweaking our mental filters
Bleu Oleander: probably have to come at it in a number of different ways
    Eliza Madrigal nods
    Bleu Oleander: starts young

Eliza Madrigal: :) better go too.. meant to just come play with the board
    Eliza Madrigal giggles
    Bleu Oleander: yes, me too
    Eliza Madrigal: :)) impromptu session

Alfred Kelberry: i will be asking tough questions on my session, eliza :)
    Bleu Oleander: take care
    Eliza Madrigal: Yay! :D
    Bleu Oleander: great mp
Alfred Kelberry: nice to see you, girls
Eliza Madrigal: nice to see you too :))
    Bleu Oleander: bye for now
    Eliza Madrigal: bye for now
Alfred Kelberry: no "all peace and love" rhetoric
    Eliza Madrigal: Namaste :)
    Bleu Oleander: :)
    Bleu Oleander: byee
    Alfred Kelberry: meep!
