Agatha Macbeth: Hello my dear ♥
Agatha Macbeth: Hear you've been stuffing yer face :p
    Wol Euler grins.
Wol Euler: we call it "dining" actually
    Agatha Macbeth: Same difference
Agatha Macbeth: I just had a bowl of nasri goreng with veg meself
    Wol Euler: mmmmmmmmm
Agatha Macbeth: So how's the gondolas?
Wol Euler: never been in one. They look pretty
    Wol Euler: and uncomfortalbe
Agatha Macbeth: Awww, that's the whole point of going!
    Wol Euler: nope
Wol Euler: the whole point of going is to sit in the sun by the Adriatic and drink cappuccino
    Agatha Macbeth sighs
Wol Euler: plus ... what's that called again? ...
    Wol Euler: Art! yes, that
Agatha Macbeth: How is Art these days?
Wol Euler: moving along, seems pretty stable
Wol Euler: Biennale was amusing as usual, not as provocative as some years
Wol Euler: video art is on the way out, you'll be pleased to hear
Wol Euler: very little video this year
Agatha Macbeth: You're missing the oktoberfest then?
Wol Euler: yes, good planning that, eh?
    Agatha Macbeth: Hmm
Agatha Macbeth: So much for the EU
Wol Euler: I've been once, done that, ticked it off the list
Wol Euler: no need to go a second time
Wol Euler: if your shoes have been puked on by one Australian, they count as puked on by all Australians
    Agatha Macbeth: Well, yeh
Agatha Macbeth: I'll consult Miralee on that one
    Wol Euler smiles.
Wol Euler: she'll agree, I'm sure
Agatha Macbeth: Wonder how Rolf Harris is doing?
    Wol Euler: still alive?
    Agatha Macbeth: I think so
    Wol Euler: huh
Agatha Macbeth: I see Herbert Lom died last night :(
    Wol Euler: boo.
    Agatha Macbeth: 95

    arabella Ella smiles
    Wol Euler: hello bleu, ara
    Wol Euler: venice is lovely
    Bleu Oleander: glad to hear!
Wol Euler: warm, mostly sunny, smells like the sea, tastes like Illy cappuccino
    Wol Euler: and limoncello
Agatha Macbeth: Better than Manchester I'll bet
    Bleu Oleander: limoncello ... yum
    Wol Euler smiles.
Bleu Oleander: always keep some in the freezer :)
Wol Euler: hooray, the "real Bleu" is back.
Wol Euler: you look artificial with a normal-human skin :)
Bleu Oleander: yes, I feel the same way
    Agatha Macbeth: Hello K
    Wol Euler: hello korel
    Korel Laloix smiles
    arabella Ella: Hi Korel

Wol Euler: gah, she's as bad as boxy :)
    Agatha Macbeth: Nobody's THAT bad...
Agatha Macbeth: Where is he btw?
    Agatha Macbeth: Bit early maybe
Wol Euler: off burying his bone, perhaps
arabella Ella: yea i was wondering about Boxy too
    Agatha Macbeth: Yeh
Agatha Macbeth: He'll probably appear just as we all leave as always
    Wol Euler nods.
Wol Euler: which reminds me that I think I haven't yet asked for cover for my sessions this weekend
Agatha Macbeth: Oh, can't be there?
Bleu Oleander: sleeping during your sessions :)
Wol Euler: too busy having fun
    Agatha Macbeth: Hmm
    Aphrodite Macbain: GIGGLES
Wol Euler: we have to do the Giardini tomorrow, before Yaku gets here
    Aphrodite Macbain: also giggles
Wol Euler: we'll have to hurry
Agatha Macbeth: What's that, a gallery?
Wol Euler: half of the Biennale
    Agatha Macbeth: Oh
arabella Ella: oh is the biennale on at the moment?
    arabella Ella: the architecture one?
Wol Euler: there are two bits, national pavilions in a garden, and teh generic show in the Arsenale
Aphrodite Macbain: the gardens- where all the countries get to show off their architects
Wol Euler: architecture this year, yes
Wol Euler: ah well, can't be helped
    arabella Ella: cool
    Agatha Macbeth: Can't miss that
    Aphrodite Macbain: Hi arabella
    Aphrodite Macbain: Hi Kori
arabella Ella: i love the installations which the architectural firms design for the biennale in venice
    Aphrodite Macbain: Hi Bleu
    arabella Ella: Hiya Aph!
    Aphrodite Macbain: :-)
    Bleu Oleander: hey Aph
Aphrodite Macbain: wish you were here sitting around our table
Wol Euler: it's a good show this year, less strident than some have been
    Bleu Oleander: would be lovely!
arabella Ella: oh i would love to be there too!
Agatha Macbeth ponders a strident show
    Wol Euler nods.
Aphrodite Macbain: I have taken some great pics and will put them in my blog when \i get a spare minute
    Agatha Macbeth: Yay
    arabella Ella: oh thanks!
    Bleu Oleander: oh nice!
Wol Euler: when she writes it *cough*
    Bleu Oleander: haha
Agatha Macbeth: Didn't know you had one actually :-)
Aphrodite Macbain: great ones of wol
Wol Euler: which will be tonight *cough cough*
Agatha Macbeth: Nasty cough you have there
Aphrodite Macbain: Yes as soon as \i have something there I will let you know
Wol Euler: it's the sea air
Bleu Oleander: and the pigeon poop
    Agatha Macbeth cheers
    Wol Euler: mmhmm
    Aphrodite Macbain: it's thelimoncello
Wol Euler: not to mention seagull dander
arabella Ella: is the ponte dei sospiri still covered with hoarding?
Wol Euler: lots of seagulls around
    Aphrodite Macbain: yecch
Agatha Macbeth: Thought that was something you play
    arabella Ella: (bridge of sighs)
    Bleu Oleander: sighs
Wol Euler: huh, ara, didn't see that. I believe the answer is no, but we only passed by on the boat at a fair distance
    Agatha Macbeth: No binoculars?
    Aphrodite Macbain: lol ara
    Korel Laloix: back
    Agatha Macbeth: WB
    Wol Euler: wb, and no
arabella Ella: oh ok maybe the hoarding if still there is not that obvious from a distance
Aphrodite Macbain: it was the bridge the prisoners took on their way to be killed
Wol Euler: the last time I was here, the fashion in hoardings was to put up a life-size image of the building being restored
arabella Ella: their last glimpse at the outside world before execution
    Agatha Macbeth: Which prisoners?
Wol Euler: this year, they are just advertising images 10 metres tall
    Aphrodite Macbain: convicted ones
arabella Ella: well Wol when I saw the hoarding there it was all chopard stuff
arabella Ella: around 2 years ago
Wol Euler: probably gone by now, then
Wol Euler: but as I say I didn't notice particularly
arabella Ella: have you been to the lovely cafes in piazza san marco?
    Aphrodite Macbain: not yet
    Wol Euler: not yet
    Wol Euler: snap
    arabella Ella: he he
    Agatha Macbeth: Give it time
Wol Euler: been there, of course but had to gt back here for PaB so didn't sit down
    Bleu Oleander: not yet??
      --BELL--1330
    Bleu Oleander: :)

    Agatha Macbeth: Now's a well-placed break then :p

    Aphrodite Macbain: oops sorry
Bleu Oleander: for Art of Being?
    Aphrodite Macbain: yes
Bleu Oleander: teams are working :)
Wol Euler: glad to hear it

    Aphrodite Macbain: :-]
    Agatha Macbeth: Mama mia
    Bleu Oleander: near Rialto
    Aphrodite Macbain: GRAZIE
    Bleu Oleander: lots of seafood!
Agatha Macbeth: Like the sound of that
Aphrodite Macbain: I worry about the seafood...
Wol Euler: sounds good, bleu, thanks
Aphrodite Macbain: you should see the water
Wol Euler: the lagoon water is quite clean now, really
    Bleu Oleander: :)
    Wol Euler: honestly
Agatha Macbeth: I liked the squid in Sardinia
    Wol Euler: very safe. yes.
Wol Euler: no need to worry *nods vigorously*
arabella Ella: have you seen any of the gi-normous cruise liners in the lagoon?
Wol Euler: yes! saw one this evening as we were coming back. 11 storeys tall above the waterline
Aphrodite Macbain: yes one= took over the skyline
    Wol Euler: incredible
    Agatha Macbeth: Eek
Aphrodite Macbain: have pictures- many-both of us
    Wol Euler: mmhmm
    Bleu Oleander: nice!
Agatha Macbeth: When does Yaku arrive?
arabella Ella: i've seen them on TV ... not very much in line with venetian skyline and much too large
Aphrodite Macbain: It was like a monster beside all the little vaporettos
    Wol Euler: tomorrow around 6pm
Agatha Macbeth: Hello ruthed Mick :)
    arabella Ella: Hiya Mick!
    Bleu Oleander: hey Mick
    Aphrodite Macbain: waves at \mick
Agatha Macbeth: First time I saw him with hair
    Aphrodite Macbain: haIR\/
    Aphrodite Macbain: HAIR?
    Mickorod Renard: cheeky
    Wol Euler: hello mick
    Agatha Macbeth grins

Wol Euler: bye aph, write well
Agatha Macbeth: Bye Aph, sleep well
    Bleu Oleander: :D
    arabella Ella: nite Aph
    Aphrodite Macbain: waves energetically
Wol Euler: no breakfast without blog
    Bleu Oleander: bye Aph
    Bleu Oleander: ha!
    Wol Euler grins.
    Agatha Macbeth: Blog and cornflakes
Wol Euler: mushroom omelettes tomorrow morning IF she writes
    Bleu Oleander: hehe
    arabella Ella: yummy!
Bleu Oleander: with cafe lattes :)
Wol Euler: well, not that, no
Wol Euler: we have a plunger style coffee maker but not a proper latte device
    Wol Euler: oddly equipped apartment
    Agatha Macbeth: Good heavens
    Mickorod Renard: nite Aph
Bleu Oleander: I remember my friend ordered a latte and they brought him a glass of milk hehe
Wol Euler: neither potholders nor sharp knives, but two fully equipped bathrooms
    Agatha Macbeth: Slurp
Wol Euler: but only one bar of soap between them!
Agatha Macbeth: Cut it in two
    Mickorod Renard: bathrooms are good
Wol Euler: no sharp knives :)
    Agatha Macbeth: No saws?
Wol Euler: we just bought a second bar. damn the expense
    Agatha Macbeth: You impetuous fool!
Bleu Oleander: step on it with your spiked heels :)
    Wol Euler: hehehe
Bleu Oleander: have you been to the Guggenheim yet?
Wol Euler: yes, lovely place. went there on the second day
Wol Euler: marvelled at her Joseph Cornell boxes
    Bleu Oleander: http://www.guggenheim.org/venice
    Bleu Oleander: oh yes!
Wol Euler: funny, I have no recollection of them from previous visits
    arabella Ella: oh yes!
Wol Euler: they seem to have left no mark
Agatha Macbeth: Maybe they moved them
Wol Euler: but now, I'd say they were collectively the best things of the collection
Bleu Oleander: seeing but not really seeing :)
Wol Euler: I could write a novel about the one that was little bottles of nostalgia
Agatha Macbeth: Or let Aph do it
    Wol Euler: or that
Agatha Macbeth: Nostalgia bottles sounds interesting
Wol Euler: other than that, basically just walking
Wol Euler: visiting my favourite cafes
    Bleu Oleander: http://www.gallerieaccademia.org/?lang=en
      --BELL--1345
Bleu Oleander: have you been there?
Mickorod Renard: are they very expensive Wol,,the cafes?
Wol Euler: more expensive than home yes
Wol Euler: but not absolutely prohibitive
Agatha Macbeth: I bet euros are easier to deal with than lire
Wol Euler: 4 euros for a cappuccino is not too much
Wol Euler: yes but to be honest I miss the lira
Wol Euler: i miss the different currencies
Mickorod Renard: its been about 13 years since i was there last
Wol Euler: probably not much has changed, mick :)
arabella Ella: it is just busier i guess
Bleu Oleander: more touri I'm sure
Wol Euler: well this is almost off-season, the main crowds are gone
Wol Euler: still pretty packed though
Wol Euler: high summer here is unbearable
    Agatha Macbeth: I can imagine
arabella Ella: last time i visited venice was April two years ago and one couyld hardly move with all the crowds
    Agatha Macbeth: Oww
Mickorod Renard: I saw a picture on tv this morning of York,,in england,,under water due to floods,,at first I thought it was venice
    Wol Euler: wow
    Agatha Macbeth: Ha, yes
Agatha Macbeth: Hate to think what Worcester and Tewkesbury are like atm
arabella Ella: oh Wol and if you have a TV there you will see Daniel Craig as James Bond speaking Italian and Di Caprio in Inception doing the same
    Wol Euler: heheheheh
Wol Euler: it's never ocurred to either of us to turn the TV on
    arabella Ella: ah
Agatha Macbeth: Never occurs to me either
Mickorod Renard: its not rained that much here,,so Worcester may be ok,,cos its not far from me
Agatha Macbeth: Unless I watch Dr Who on Iplayer
arabella Ella: here it is still summer and swimming and sunbathing weather
    Bleu Oleander: here too :)
    Wol Euler: heheh
    Mickorod Renard: nice....(envy envy)
Wol Euler: when is it not, though?
    arabella Ella smiles
    Bleu Oleander: endless summer
Agatha Macbeth: I had to finally give in and put the heating on this week :(
arabella Ella: ah we had flash floods beginning of september ... an annual occurance
Mickorod Renard: I have a nice log fire burning now
    Agatha Macbeth: Mmmmmmm
Wol Euler: we have the windows open now, and ate dinner outdoors
Bleu Oleander is fanning herself ... remembers using heat in NYC
arabella Ella: and i hope to be off to the beach to swim in the sea over the weekend
Mickorod Renard: am laying on rug on floor in front of it
Wol Euler: but it's getting chilly, another week and that would probably not be possible
    Agatha Macbeth: Bearskin?
    Wol Euler: dreamy :)
Mickorod Renard: ate dinner outdoors,,Wol thats so appealing
    Wol Euler smiles.
Bleu Oleander: more appealing in Venice :)
    arabella Ella: sounds lovely
Wol Euler: I'll be honest: it is :)
Mickorod Renard: mmmmm,,any people in the masks and costume?
Wol Euler: only people selling tickets to concerts
Agatha Macbeth: Sounds like SL ;-)
    Mickorod Renard: he he
Mickorod Renard: I eventually got my son back from Venice,,after the cancelled return flight and all that
    Wol Euler: good
    Agatha Macbeth: Oh, right
Mickorod Renard: he got 2 extra days in a 5 star hotel
Agatha Macbeth: Did he still have the watch?
    Bleu Oleander: :)
    Wol Euler: heheh
      --BELL--1400
Mickorod Renard: yes, funny dream that one
    Agatha Macbeth smiles
    Mickorod Renard: :)
Agatha Macbeth: Shame you couldn't get back to it
Mickorod Renard: yes, but i guess they have a limited life
Agatha Macbeth: I'm really glad Max has been able to keep the dream workshop going
    Wol Euler nods.
Agatha Macbeth: Nothing much else seems to happen at the cafe any more
Bleu Oleander: never run out of dreams :)
    Agatha Macbeth: Good job!
    Bleu Oleander: take care all
Bleu Oleander: enjoy Venice Wol :)
Agatha Macbeth: Have fun o monochrome one
    Bleu Oleander: ha!
    Mickorod Renard: bye Bleu
Wol Euler: tbank you bleu, take care
    Bleu Oleander: bye bye
Agatha Macbeth: Actually 'monochrome' is a total misnomer isn't it?
Wol Euler: since neihter white nor black is a colour? yep
Agatha Macbeth: Plus all the shades of grey
    Wol Euler nods.
Agatha Macbeth: Or sheds of grey
    Wol Euler: sheds indeed
Wol Euler: today's shed is a blinder.
Agatha Macbeth: I did see it but forgot it
Agatha Macbeth: Think I was too busy reading Stephen Fry
Mickorod Renard: he's interesting,,in a way..isnt he bi polar too?
Agatha Macbeth: Dunno, but he is bisexual :p
Agatha Macbeth: Bipolar is what used to be called manic depressive
Wol Euler: I had to give up on Fry, he was too prolific, drowned out everyone else
    Agatha Macbeth: So funny tho
    Wol Euler: mmhmm
Wol Euler: 'Get down on your hands and knees,' she ordered, 'And I'll take you to a place you've never been before.' This was the weirdest satnav ever.
    Wol Euler: (50 sheds)
    Agatha Macbeth: OMG
    Agatha Macbeth: :DDD
    Wol Euler: https://twitter.com/50ShedsofGrey
arabella Ella bites her lower lip ....
    Agatha Macbeth: Rower rip
Agatha Macbeth feels a sudden urge to polish Mick's head
    Wol Euler grins.
Mickorod Renard: am I bald again?
Wol Euler: so where's boxy these days? apropos polishing
Agatha Macbeth: Yes, ruth is long gone
Agatha Macbeth: About time for him to arrive isn't it?
    Wol Euler looks around
Agatha Macbeth: Haven't seen him for about a week now you mention it
    Wol Euler: huh
Agatha Macbeth: Maybe he's persuing his secret life again
    Wol Euler: I guess
arabella Ella: yes he missed out on dreams on tuesday too
    Agatha Macbeth: Boxy is Boxy
Agatha Macbeth: One of a kind
arabella Ella: maybe he is here as ... me ... or you ... or you?
Agatha Macbeth: Well I know for a fact he's not me :p
    arabella Ella: he he
    Wol Euler narrows her eyes
    Agatha Macbeth: Ah so
    Agatha Macbeth: Vely intelesting
      --BELL--1415
Wol Euler: I'm pretty sure that neither Aph nor I is bosy
    Wol Euler: *boxy
Wol Euler: some of us are bossy
    Agatha Macbeth: Or Bosy

Agatha Macbeth: Are we in Hollywood?
Wol Euler: Oscar and Bosy, I thought you were being clever
    Agatha Macbeth: Er....
    Wol Euler: Wilde
    Agatha Macbeth: remind me
    Agatha Macbeth: Oh
    Wol Euler: and thingy
Agatha Macbeth: Thought it was Bosie?
Wol Euler: ah, yes, quite right
Agatha Macbeth: Also an alternate term for a googlie
Wol Euler: gives a whole new meaning to "leg before wicket"
    Agatha Macbeth: Sure thing
Wol Euler stifles a giggle so as not to distract Aph who is pretending to write her blog
Agatha Macbeth: Reginald Bosanquet's grandfather invented leg spin apparently
Wol Euler: destined for greatness. that one
Agatha Macbeth: With a tennis ball
arabella Ella: writing a blog with a tennis ball? ehrm?
    Wol Euler: very sloppy writing
Agatha Macbeth: Now *that* I would like to see
Mickorod Renard: ok folks,,I am heading home
Agatha Macbeth: Sudden movement from Mick...
Wol Euler: 'night mick, take care
Mickorod Renard: but lovely to see ya all

    Wol Euler: heheh
Agatha Macbeth: Just don't throw the gondolier from the rialto bridge
arabella Ella: not the one with the pot belly
arabella Ella: the one with the smouldering dark eyes covered with men in black style sun specs
    Agatha Macbeth: 'Death in Venice'
    Wol Euler: ah, that one
arabella Ella: enough ... or i may be tempted to write a blog too ... nite nite!
Wol Euler: I'll give him your number
    Agatha Macbeth: Sweet dreams Ara
    arabella Ella: yes pls!
arabella Ella: so kind of u!
    Wol Euler grins.
    Agatha Macbeth: I can imagine....
Agatha Macbeth: Arose by any other name would still mean 'got up'
    Wol Euler: boom boom
Agatha Macbeth: Wonder if K is with us?
Wol Euler: she's pretty quiet back there
Agatha Macbeth: I get this urge to do really naughty things to her while she's afk
    Wol Euler chortles.
Agatha Macbeth: But that's me eh?
Wol Euler: "incorrigible" is your middle name
    Agatha Macbeth: Hmmm....A.I.M.
    Wol Euler: aims to please
    Agatha Macbeth: Hopefully succeeds too
Wol Euler: doing all right so far <3
Korel Laloix: Had a few phone calls.
    Korel Laloix: Tease
    Agatha Macbeth: Aww ♥
    Wol Euler: aha!
    Agatha Macbeth: Wasn't me :p
    Korel Laloix: Details please.
Agatha Macbeth: You didn't hear that....
Agatha Macbeth: So when do you come back Wollie?
    Korel Laloix: lol
Agatha Macbeth: (lost her now too)
    Agatha Macbeth sighs
Wol Euler: did I crash or did the conversation stop?
Agatha Macbeth: Thought you were afk
    Wol Euler: ah, laggggggg
Agatha Macbeth: In the litchen or something
Wol Euler: back on tuesday, midnight
Agatha Macbeth: Or the kitchen even
Wol Euler: in the lichen :)
    Wol Euler: norwegian fun
Agatha Macbeth: First fungi, now lichen

    Wol Euler: heheheh
Agatha Macbeth: So where are you right now, hotel, cafe?
    Wol Euler: rented apartment
Wol Euler: two bathrooms, two bedrooms, internal balcony on an upper level, kitchen
    Agatha Macbeth: Sounds nice
Wol Euler: near the Ca' d'Oro vaporetto stop
    Agatha Macbeth: Oh that one
Wol Euler: newly refitted, quite pretty
Agatha Macbeth: Remember to take a pic for us
    Wol Euler: very quiet
Wol Euler: I'll take a photo of the edge of the door, showing hte amazing variety and quantity of locks
Agatha Macbeth: Don't young Italians ride around on lambrettas any more then?
Wol Euler: not in venice :)
Agatha Macbeth: Suppose they'd get wet
    Wol Euler: mmhm
Wol Euler: they could use jetski's, but somehow they don't
Agatha Macbeth: I hear that's good fun, til the boat stops
    Wol Euler smiles.
Wol Euler: that saying fits so many situations
Agatha Macbeth: 'Hey the boat stopped...glug glug glug'
Wol Euler: "it'll end in tears"
    Agatha Macbeth: And usually does
Agatha Macbeth: My mother used to say that
Wol Euler: actually the restrictions on speed and wake size are probably why they don't use jetskis
    Agatha Macbeth: Killjoys
    Wol Euler: practical reality :)
    Agatha Macbeth: Same thing
Wol Euler: the city is built at the waterline
Agatha Macbeth: Lets hope the water doesn't rise then
    Wol Euler nods.
Wol Euler: even an afternoon of rainfall makes a visible effect in teh water level
Agatha Macbeth: I'm sure I read somewhere parts of the city are sinking
    Wol Euler: highly possible yes
    Agatha Macbeth: Venice becomes Atlantis
Agatha Macbeth: Must drop a line to Plato in his cave
    Wol Euler: with a fishhook?
    Agatha Macbeth: Could do
    Agatha Macbeth: Or a pigeon
Wol Euler: caught by the thesis
    Agatha Macbeth: Nasty
    Wol Euler: mmhmm

Wol Euler: the city is depopulating, that is becomign visible
Agatha Macbeth: By tourists or natives?
    Wol Euler: natives
    Agatha Macbeth: Hmm

Agatha Macbeth: Maybe thay go to bed early
Wol Euler: not that early :) and not in other years
Agatha Macbeth: So where are they going?
Wol Euler: Mestre, on the mainland, where it's dry and stable and cheaper

    Wol Euler nods.

    Agatha Macbeth: I don't have a basement that's why
    Wol Euler: ah
    Wol Euler: stands to reason
      --BELL--1445
Agatha Macbeth: Would be hard to get seawater in it anyway
Wol Euler: you could bottle it, I suppose
    Agatha Macbeth: Could do
Wol Euler: people buy mineral water, why not seawater
Agatha Macbeth: Keep the fish happy
    Wol Euler nods.
