    Catrinamonblue Resident: hello Druth
    druth Vlodovic: hi cat
    druth Vlodovic: hey korel
    Catrinamonblue Resident: Hi Korel
    Korel Laloix: Heya
Korel Laloix: At least I did not land on someone today...
    Catrinamonblue Resident: :)
    druth Vlodovic: darn :)
    --BELL--
Korel Laloix: I can put on some stilletos for the next round though....smiles
druth Vlodovic: maybe some nice socks with gripping toes
druth Vlodovic: so you can stay there
Korel Laloix: Would be less painful for all involved I think.
Korel Laloix: Big weekend plans anyone?
    Catrinamonblue Resident: cleaning house :)
Eos Amaterasu: Hi korel druth cat
    Catrinamonblue Resident: Hi Eos
    druth Vlodovic: hey eos
Eos Amaterasu: I'm mirroring my screen to the big screen apple tv, so virtuality is echoing...
    Korel Laloix: Sounds annoying.
druth Vlodovic: neat, you get to see all our avatar's warts
druth Vlodovic: close up and personal
Eos Amaterasu: kind of fun playing with it at the moment
Eos Amaterasu: no, not better closeups
    Catrinamonblue Resident: :)
Eos Amaterasu: but the avatar's reality is now part of the living room
druth Vlodovic: one step closer to SL VR

Eos Amaterasu: but sorry, was there a theme? clarity?
    druth Vlodovic: something like that
    Eos Amaterasu: murky
druth Vlodovic: we're nearing the end of the run,any new thoughts on it?

Eos Amaterasu: I think of snowglobe
Eos Amaterasu: letting things suspend and settle
    Eos Amaterasu: into clarity

Catrinamonblue Resident: Thinking of obstacles as blocks to clarity but they are not really blocks on clarity But potential growth unrealized Clarity is but an illusion transitory

    Clairity- who needs it anyway?

Korel Laloix: I was thinking of my desire for lack of clarity or fear of clarity.
Korel Laloix: on some things at least.
Eos Amaterasu: hmm, think I recognize that
Eos Amaterasu: fear of truth of things?
druth Vlodovic: oh? what do you wish to lack clarity on?
Eos Amaterasu: I recognize the fear that clarity may show more than one wanted
Eos Amaterasu: but that's partly seeing harsh clarity, tinged with fear

Eos Amaterasu: as opposed to clarity so sharp it has no roughness, and is the butter of compassion :-)

druth Vlodovic: often the fear clears up with the illusions, but sometimes it leads into murkier depths that give you more of the same problem :/
Eos Amaterasu: it is a journey, yes
Korel Laloix: Ignorance is bliss in a lot of things... I like that idiom
Eos Amaterasu: sometimes the clarity can encompass the journey and all its twists and turns
    druth Vlodovic: hi san :)
Eos Amaterasu: that's clarity as vision
Eos Amaterasu: which is immovable, in a sense
Eos Amaterasu: it transcends particular characterization

Korel Laloix: And then there are things that you want to know and don't want to know.
Eos Amaterasu: known dont want to knows, and unknown don't want to knows
druth Vlodovic: hmm, clarity as something hard and sharp gets me wondering where you started creating more illusions
Korel Laloix: Lots of things I still wish I did not know about.
    Eos Amaterasu: hmm

    --BELL--

    Dragons of uncertainty

Eos Amaterasu: how do you deal with those "here be dragons"?
druth Vlodovic: go there and see
druth Vlodovic: dragons might be kind of neat
    Eos Amaterasu: okay
Eos Amaterasu: (I imagined myself going down a forest path with a sword in hand...)
Eos Amaterasu: (ah, there's the dragon :-)
Eos Amaterasu: actually quite cheerful, but full of energy
Eos Amaterasu: but might overwhelm me with my own energy
    druth Vlodovic: lol
    druth Vlodovic: eos the adventurer
Eos Amaterasu: that was what Pema calls a "sally"
Eos Amaterasu: a little imaginative adventure,
druth Vlodovic: unfortunately dragons often vanish when you get close, but wonders abound where you seek them
    Eos Amaterasu: aha!
Eos Amaterasu: yes, let us see the dragons in pre-poof! stage
    Eos Amaterasu: let us see
    Eos Amaterasu: touch and go

Eos Amaterasu: dragons tend to be invisible because they speak the natural language of things
druth Vlodovic: maybe sometimes we are afraid of losing our dragons
Eos Amaterasu: (Ursula Le Guin has the greatest wisdom on dragons)
    Korel Laloix looks up ursula
    Eos Amaterasu: Earth-Sea Trilogy
druth Vlodovic: I read that so long ago I forget it

druth Vlodovic: but I do remember the bit that in order to do magic to something you need to name it

    druth Vlodovic: define it
Eos Amaterasu: it's deeper than Tolkien, in a way
Eos Amaterasu: language is a spell
    Eos Amaterasu: a binding
Eos Amaterasu: legein - classical greek for "to bind" = root of logos, word
druth Vlodovic: well, if we look at all the magic that we have done by finding out the true properties of things through investigation then maybe she has a point
Eos Amaterasu: there's magic in science as well
druth Vlodovic: though that hardly binds what we are looking at, just tells us the means
Eos Amaterasu: though the tale of the sorcerer's apprentice applies
Korel Laloix: Don't know that one.
Eos Amaterasu: it's in the "Fantasia" movie
Eos Amaterasu: the sorcerer's apprentice makes spells on mops to do his cleaning
Eos Amaterasu: he gets more and more of them going
Eos Amaterasu: but then things go out of control
Eos Amaterasu: and the master magician has to intervene
Eos Amaterasu: that's the story, and the movie, .... and the reality?
    druth Vlodovic: more dragons :)
druth Vlodovic: I wish I had the link but I saw a comic "sci-fi through the ages"
druth Vlodovic: a caveman invents the wheel and is warned of great disasters, same with fire etc
druth Vlodovic: and in each case suffers the consequences of his arrogance

Eos Amaterasu: the dragon is the voice of heaven speaking in manifestation
Eos Amaterasu: how true, like ice, like fire

    --BELL--

Eos Amaterasu: When you aren't afraid of them you see things more clearly
Eos Amaterasu: When you aren't seduced by them you also see them more clearly
Eos Amaterasu: When you don't ignore them you see them more clearly :-)
Korel Laloix: Sounds like a lot of trouble.

Eos Amaterasu: just stop doing anything!
druth Vlodovic: a lot of trouble not to :)
druth Vlodovic: imagine a life where no risks are taken
druth Vlodovic: life would wash you downstream to some swampy corner and mire you there
Eos Amaterasu: our life has absolutely no foundation anyway
druth Vlodovic: safe as a salamander buried in mud
Eos Amaterasu: we've already kissed our ass goodbye
Eos Amaterasu: the dragon can be outrageous
druth Vlodovic: I wonder what tales it willtell when it comes back
    druth Vlodovic: it usually does

    Korel the dragon

Korel Laloix: I like to face my fears.... but not becuase I want clarity.
Korel Laloix: I just dont like to lose.... smiles
    druth Vlodovic: lol
Eos Amaterasu: you shadow box with your fears?
druth Vlodovic: well, never enter a battle unless you have clear objectives, otherwise you'll never know when you have won
Korel Laloix: That can take the fun out of it though.... smiles
druth Vlodovic: knowing when it quit is a good idea too :-/
    Korel Laloix: Very true.
druth Vlodovic: unless your joy is in the fight itself

    Real vs percieved threats

Korel Laloix: And then there are things you really should be afraid of.
Korel Laloix: vs the silly things.
druth Vlodovic: everyone seems to have different ideas of what those are
druth Vlodovic: should we believe everyone's fears we will be afraid of everything,
druth Vlodovic: if we believe in everybodies "so what?" then we will do nothing
Korel Laloix: I just think it funny that year after year when surveyed, people are more afraid of public speaking than death.
druth Vlodovic: nobody laughs at you when you're dead :)
    Eos Amaterasu: hmm
Eos Amaterasu: you don't get the joke anymore
Eos Amaterasu: or maybe you do
Korel Laloix: If I am afarid of something, I tend to just go and do it.
Korel Laloix: Get it out of the way.
Korel Laloix: Instead of simmering in the dread.
Korel Laloix: Not sure I used that word right.
Eos Amaterasu: you're a useful person to have around :-)
Korel Laloix: Or dangerous... I have been told.... smiles
    Eos Amaterasu: heh heh
druth Vlodovic: we'll go with "bold" :)
    Eos Amaterasu: bold as love
Korel Laloix: And I have little patience sometimes for certain fears in others.
Eos Amaterasu: "seeing clearly with others"
    --BELL--
Eos Amaterasu: well, thank you druth and Korel, I will say good night!
druth Vlodovic: 'night eos, thanks for talking with us
druth Vlodovic: the difference between silly and fearful is how you take it I guess
    Korel Laloix: Persprective is important.
    --BELL--
druth Vlodovic: well, I think I'm off, have fun korel :)
druth Vlodovic: don't let your fears bite
druth Vlodovic: and don't bite them too hard, they might have hard centres
