[19:19] stevenaia Michinaga: thinking... I attend a tao study group that get's together in RL once a month, they was this morning, it;s an informal group, then I replaced my glass frames

[19:23] Paradise Tennant: it is time consuming and we were at a great art exhibit too

[19:24] Hana Furlough: i don't know why but i feel kind of weird about the whole holiday season this year
[19:24] Paradise Tennant: smiles and hana and listens
[19:24] Hana Furlough: the hyperconsumerism, the "must buy something, anything" attitude
[19:24] Hana Furlough: also, the fact that i often don't know if people are being exploited to make the things i buy to make others happy

[19:25] stevenaia Michinaga: well, speaking from an observer... I can see how this holiday can affect people opposite of how I would have thought it was intended

[19:26] dranna Tempura: some times when the av income is 500 a year 50 cent an hour is a fortune
[19:26] Paradise Tennant: nicest part of it is having the time to spend with family and friends
[19:26] Hana Furlough: yeah, it's true
[19:26] Hana Furlough: right
[19:27] stevenaia Michinaga: then there's the food :)
[19:27] Hana Furlough: sorry to be a downer
[19:27] Hana Furlough: ahh yes the food is always good

[19:27] Paradise Tennant: you know I think a lot of people get sad at this time of year
[19:28] Paradise Tennant: there is so much build up so much anticipation
[19:28] stevenaia Michinaga: there are some things I never see until I get invited to christmas parties

[19:28] Paradise Tennant: it gets a bit over the top
[19:28] Paradise Tennant: but the simple parts of it are wonderful

[19:28] Paradise Tennant: some good food

[19:28] Hana Furlough: yeah, that's the other thing: the idea that things need to be done now, because it's the holidays
