Bleu Oleander: was just going to ask that :)
Yakuzza Lethecus: well, even been there propably had a lot of conversational value since it was hyped so much afterwards
    Bleu Oleander: hi Xirana
Xirana Oximoxi: hello Riddle Bleu ,Yaku:)

Yakuzza Lethecus: maybe we can learn about what and how our society somehow thinks is preservable for the next generations, so i wonder what made woodstock then that special if noone learned anything ?
    Yakuzza Lethecus: hey riddle
    Yakuzza Lethecus: xirana

    Yakuzza Lethecus: gosh

    Yakuzza Lethecus: hey eliza
    Riddle Sideways: Morning Eliza
Eliza Madrigal: Hi Bleu, Riddle, Ya, Xirana :)

Eliza Madrigal: Nice to see you all
Riddle Sideways: learned that I was not alone
Please to remember or imagine the times.  Teenage has it's own mental illness, alienation, descoveries.  Usually, you think you are the only one that thinks the way you do.  You were raised in the 50's family ethos and all those paradymns broke down.  Went off to university and learned (funny that) and became open.  An "I" saw a "We".  Birth of Woodstock Nation.

    Xirana Oximoxi: hi Eliza
Riddle Sideways: and again learned that new media can not tell you a story like being there can
    Riddle Sideways: *news
Like they said "this stuff ain't in the movie... it is coming to a mind near you".
    Bleu Oleander: hi Bruce
    Riddle Sideways: morning bruce
    Bruce Mowbray: Good morning, folks.
    Eliza Madrigal: Morning Bruce :)
    Yakuzza Lethecus: hey bruce

Riddle Sideways: 500K come together for 3 days of peace and love and the News media reported traffic delays
       Xirana Oximoxi: hi Bruce
Riddle Sideways: so everytime they report more 'traffic problems', you have to wonder if a woodstock is going on in there
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
    Xirana Oximoxi: :))
Riddle Sideways: sorry, it built a dislike of 6pm 'News' shows
Riddle Sideways: reporters can not get to nor stay long at actual news
Riddle Sideways: so reports something else
Eliza Madrigal thinks of the loony tune with the oven ... every time bugs bunny gets thrown in its a party but there is nothing going on when the one throwing bugs in, goes in themself
Riddle Sideways: all in the way you look at it
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Riddle Sideways: what appears when you look across the fence at something
Bleu Oleander: who listens to 6pm new anymore?
Riddle Sideways: what appears when you wade into it
Riddle Sideways: we are so warped that 'news' stories come from Jon Stewart show now
                         --BELL--
Eliza Madrigal: I like CBS Sunday Morning still, though even that has been a while
Bleu Oleander: what's warped about that? hehehe

Riddle Sideways: image of 13 avs sitting here. having read the same 4 pages. each with a different take/points/questions/feelings
Riddle Sideways: then obserum would report on the 6pm news

Eliza Madrigal: Stewart plays too much other news ... had to stop watching him, giggles
Eliza Madrigal: :) but I do think there is a place for shows like the cbs one which give personal and 'town' stories, etc
Riddle Sideways: almost stopped watching too.
Eliza Madrigal: as well as the big events of the day
    Bruce Mowbray: Hi, Boxy.
    Eliza Madrigal: Hi Alfred :)

Riddle Sideways: then caught a show about Gleen Beck
    Alfred Kelberry: wuff!
    Yakuzza Lethecus: hey boxy
    Alfred Kelberry: hi :)

    Riddle Sideways: completely different
Alfred Kelberry: a fine group of people
    Bleu Oleander: hey boxy
Eliza Madrigal: see... I wouldn't have even known about Beck if not for stewart
    Riddle Sideways: HI boxy Alf
    Xirana Oximoxi: hi Boxy:)
    Eliza Madrigal: @@
    Eliza Madrigal: :))

Alfred Kelberry: all look lovely and beautiful
Riddle Sideways: yep, would not have know about Beck either
    Eliza Madrigal: you too Boxy
    Alfred Kelberry: :)
Eliza Madrigal: may have slept better at night, haha
Yakuzza Lethecus: At work we mainly listen to radio, the only news i watch in germany that would be the tagesschau in 5 minutes every morning.

    Alfred Kelberry: umm

Riddle Sideways: a dog can walk in a room and all chat stopps
Bleu Oleander: yes they are :)
Xirana Oximoxi: it happen also the opposite, people sitting in a room not knowing about what to talk and if a dog comes in it gives a lot of chat:)

Alfred Kelberry: i've thought today about the lack of color on a nano scale. it's kind of weird to imagine.
Xirana Oximoxi: may I as what is a 'nano'?
    Bleu Oleander: really, really small
Riddle Sideways: or nano 'scale' not having color
    Alfred Kelberry: 10^-9 m, xir
Alfred Kelberry: really tiny size :)
    Xirana Oximoxi: thanks Boxy!! :)
Riddle Sideways: are we looking at it with B/W cameras?
    Alfred Kelberry: electronic microscope
Alfred Kelberry: visible light wavelength is bigger, so we can't actually see it
Riddle Sideways begs to differ... google finds lots of new stuff about new classes of color sorters and contracting agents
Alfred Kelberry: please tell more, riddle :)
Riddle Sideways: try "nano scale color" in search box
Riddle Sideways: little ones that can bring color to the world of MRIs
    Riddle Sideways: etc.
Riddle Sideways: ah, and the one about "if you have a cube of pure gold and cut it. what color would the peices be
                         --BELL--
Alfred Kelberry: ah, you mean nano scale color detectors?
    Alfred Kelberry: hmm...
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
    Eliza Madrigal: um....

Alfred Kelberry: it's a gift from kit :)
Alfred Kelberry: the wonderful flute maker
Eliza Madrigal: Ah, where is kit these days?
    Alfred Kelberry: no idea :)
Eliza Madrigal: maybe at the rodeo
Alfred Kelberry: hiding in the triangles of virtual space
Riddle Sideways: Kit the flute maker also does hot air balloons?

Riddle Sideways: new thing learned: this new way of tying shoe laces has me re-wiring brain paths

ok, some explaining. and an exercise for you.
Friend mentioned how odd to learn he had been tying his shoe laces ineffectively for 50+ years.
That it was really hard to learn a new way of tying laces.
Look down at your shoe laces.
examine the knot very carefully.  Is it a squ
are knot in there or only a half hitch and a cross-over.
Right over left (like I was doing) will produce a granny knot which comes undone easily.

        See: http://www.fieggen.com/shoelace/slipping.htm
         try this: http://www.animatedknots.com/shoelac...matedknots.com
Even if you correctly tie your laces, try something new and completely different: http://www.fieggen.com/shoelace/knots.htm
