stevenaia Michinaga: I really enjoy job intervews
Pema Pera: yes, having to present yourself in a nut shell . . . .

SophiaSharon Larnia: yes Pema, and the spotlight being on you
stevenaia Michinaga: yes, personal journey in progress
Pema Pera: yes, can be uncomfortable!
stevenaia Michinaga: you get to make them show you how interesting their job is too
SophiaSharon Larnia: (re: transition, Steve, always in transition)
Pema Pera: but it can be uncomfortable for the person leading the interview too . . . .
    stevenaia Michinaga: :)

    Pema Pera: hehehe
Pema Pera: hungry for your words, Steve!
stevenaia Michinaga: yes, when too focused they make me dissey so I dubmerged the bulk of them
    stevenaia Michinaga: *submerged
    SophiaSharon Larnia: haha
SophiaSharon Larnia: oh i see now, yes
Pema Pera: ah, there is a meditation lesson perhaps? letting go of heavy focus . . . ?
stevenaia Michinaga: they are fish out of water
SophiaSharon Larnia: thinking about that, letting go of your story and having to proclaim your story all over the place
    SophiaSharon Larnia: hi Luci :)
    Pema Pera: hi Luci!
stevenaia Michinaga: all over the place, Sophia?
Pema Pera: yes, Sharon, nice image!

Pema Pera: letting them out in the world . . . .
SophiaSharon Larnia: well, thats different, at least I perceive it that way
stevenaia Michinaga: wondering what they want/expect and what you wnat/expect
    SophiaSharon Larnia: isnt it?
Pema Pera: yes, of course, was just kidding :-)
SophiaSharon Larnia: i see the link though
    stevenaia Michinaga: hi lucinda

stevenaia Michinaga: yes, been practicing on Susan a few times
SophiaSharon Larnia loves Steve's ventialted dress
    stevenaia Michinaga: :)
    SophiaSharon Larnia: ventilated*
Rhiannon Dragoone: sure. Steve. Move me closer
    druth Vlodovic: valet service
Lucinda Lavender: ventilation is such a helpful thing on these hot days...
Rhiannon Dragoone: Yeah. Robinson Crusoe said he made himself a ventilated dress like garment fir that reason
    SophiaSharon Larnia: brb sorry
stevenaia Michinaga: I have a hot furry cat draped across one arm as I type
druth Vlodovic: we need to get you a sleepy kitty typing animation
Rhiannon Dragoone: Must make things difficult
    stevenaia Michinaga: not that energetic
Lucinda Lavender: funny that cats do that in heat...

    --BELL--

Lucinda Lavender: with ac it must be still fun to be next to human friends
stevenaia Michinaga: cats seem to be better at meditation then dogs and possibly humans
    Lucinda Lavender: ...:)
Lucinda Lavender: our fish are moving in a very consistent way:)
Lucinda Lavender: perhaps a swimming meditation
SophiaSharon Larnia: I have to go :( nice to see you all, sorry to leave so early
    druth Vlodovic: have fun sophia
    SophiaSharon Larnia: something came up
    SophiaSharon Larnia: b4n
Lucinda Lavender: have a good eve ssl
    stevenaia Michinaga: bye Sophia
    Rhiannon Dragoone: see you, Siohi
stevenaia Michinaga: I had the stranges thing happen to me today
    stevenaia Michinaga: strangest
    Lucinda Lavender: luci listens...
    Rhiannon Dragoone: strange?
stevenaia Michinaga: I was painting the house and I had a complete daydream
    stevenaia Michinaga: or awake dream
Lucinda Lavender: were you indoors or out?
stevenaia Michinaga: one moment I was painting my windws outside (ver meditative) the next thing I know I was imagining a story as if it was talking place
stevenaia Michinaga: there was no transition or waking state (I was on a short ladder at the time)
Rhiannon Dragoone: You unleashed you "daemon." Awesome.
Lucinda Lavender: do you remember what it was about?
stevenaia Michinaga: hehe, the dream was I went to visit a friend to paint their house
    Lucinda Lavender: :)
stevenaia Michinaga: and the met me at the door
    stevenaia Michinaga: with great suprise
stevenaia Michinaga: gave me a double take as I was not expected
stevenaia Michinaga: I said I was here to paint the house....
    Lucinda Lavender: nodding
stevenaia Michinaga: they agreed, friend and parents, and offered me a place to stay while I work
stevenaia Michinaga: then I ... came back to the un - dreamed state
Lucinda Lavender: wow sort of like going visiting...
    stevenaia Michinaga: nods
druth Vlodovic: sounds like you need to go visiting :)
    stevenaia Michinaga: :)
druth Vlodovic: do you not daydream much normally?

    --BELL--

Rhiannon Dragoone: It could be a form Of astral projection
stevenaia Michinaga: I never did like that, certainly wasn;t because I was tired, I just went somewhere else for a moment
Lucinda Lavender: Cal and I were just talking last night about hearing perople in conversation while resting/dreaming...this happened to me on the plane. He mentioned that sounds can be helpful for our jumping off
    druth Vlodovic: "jumping off"?
Lucinda Lavender: well for the slipping into another dream state
Lucinda Lavender: feels like a switch of channels
stevenaia Michinaga: never felt "other dream states"
    stevenaia Michinaga: this was unique
Lucinda Lavender: I have noticed it in meditation too
druth Vlodovic: I always figured it was more of the mind producing things under a condition of lessened control
Lucinda Lavender: that sounds a true way of putting it:)
Lucinda Lavender: during lessened controll as you said
stevenaia Michinaga: new states are always intreging
    stevenaia Michinaga: hello roger, welcome
    Lucinda Lavender: Hi Roger
    Roger -----: Hello
stevenaia Michinaga: maxine mentioned that dreaming is not just a sleeping activity
stevenaia Michinaga: perhaps things jsut got quiet enough for me to see a dream taking place when concious
Lucinda Lavender: yes and the thought in waking kind of gives one permission to notice it
Lucinda Lavender: it has worked that way for me I think
Lucinda Lavender: sometimes when my head hits the pillow it starts up and there isa brief awareness just before going to a less conscious state
    Rhiannon Dragoone: hi Roger
Lucinda Lavender: interesting language, people talking, ...
    stevenaia Michinaga: bye roger
Rhiannon Dragoone: Hypnogogic states Luke that can be very psychic
Lucinda Lavender: Rhia...I was wondering what you meant about the Daemon....

    --BELL--

Rhiannon Dragoone: oh. From Socrates, who referred to his source of inspiration as literally that--inspired by a Spirit
    stevenaia Michinaga: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daemon_(classical_mythology)
stevenaia Michinaga: Rhi, can you expand upon "Hypnogogic states Luke that can be very psychic'
Rhiannon Dragoone: Sure, Steve. When You're in alpha brainstate, you cab project your mind And increase your awareness, especially When you're at the border if Delta
    stevenaia Michinaga: :) thx
Rhiannon Dragoone: One swami, who could lucid dream, was able to heal and remote view
stevenaia Michinaga: where as I found a painting alpha state
Lucinda Lavender: ...cal was suggesting the sound of dripping water...and I experienced it with the sound of the airplane
Lucinda Lavender: and being a little sleep deprived
Rhiannon Dragoone: Well, being sleep deprived can open your mind to altered states
Lucinda Lavender: I think so too...less controll
Lucinda Lavender: with pinting there is the attention to detail...and the focus
    Lucinda Lavender: and repetative motion
stevenaia Michinaga: although it was hot, it was relaxing
Rhiannon Dragoone: Luc, that occupies the conscious mind and allows the unconscious to come through.
    Lucinda Lavender: yes...
Lucinda Lavender: Rhia do you have experiences of this nature?
Lucinda Lavender: it is very nice to do a job that one can be relaxed doing...
    Lucinda Lavender: not pressure
    stevenaia Michinaga: :)

    --BELL--

stevenaia Michinaga: bed time for me
    stevenaia Michinaga: nigth all
    Lucinda Lavender: :)
Rhiannon Dragoone: Yes, I di, actually. had one similar today; while reading a book was "in" the story I was writing.
    Lucinda Lavender: night steve:)
    Rhiannon Dragoone: nite, Steve
Rhiannon Dragoone: I should go too.
Lucinda Lavender: were you reading and writing ourself into the story?
Lucinda Lavender: ah...ok another time then ...sweet dreams to all leaving
    Rhiannon Dragoone: waves and poofs
Lucinda Lavender: druth...I just noticed you are the fulfiller:)
druth Vlodovic: lol, I was fooling with my groups
    Lucinda Lavender: a nice sentiment...
Lucinda Lavender: I for get how to creat the name...in groups huh?
druth Vlodovic: the groups give you the title
Lucinda Lavender: did you make that group up?
druth Vlodovic: no, I just stole it off of Rhi actually
    Lucinda Lavender: :)
druth Vlodovic: We affirm that the dreams and aspirations of humanity can be fulfilled. Abundance for All, indefinitely long life in perfect health, ever growing intelligence, knowledge, happiness, creativity. And running through it all a deep creative joy.
Lucinda Lavender: a nice and happy sort of intention
druth Vlodovic: do you experience a lot of altered states of consciousness?
Lucinda Lavender: well I do occasonally
Lucinda Lavender: and often in sleep
Lucinda Lavender: I have to be pretty relaxed
    Lucinda Lavender: do you?
druth Vlodovic: I find it a bit hard to focus on what people call "reality" sometimes :/
druth Vlodovic: it is hard to compare between different people if their experiences really are different
    Lucinda Lavender: I suppose so
druth Vlodovic: I suspect the mind spends it's time in many different states, and gives differing amounts of attention to each at different times and stimuli
    Lucinda Lavender: yes
druth Vlodovic: but not all bits of the mind understand each other
Lucinda Lavender: have always thought that consciously I am pretty grounded and attending to certain routines of the day...but at times I get the desire to do certain things that feel mind expanding
druth Vlodovic: people naturally seek balance
druth Vlodovic: I suspect this is why a person will follow a particular mode faithfully for a long time and then turn viciously againsty it
druth Vlodovic: really they are just trying to find the freedom to grow
druth Vlodovic: though I'll admit I find being "gounded" an awful experience
Lucinda Lavender: personally I have like listening to music and moving furniture
    druth Vlodovic: really? :)
    Lucinda Lavender: yes:)
Lucinda Lavender: I like to adjust the lighting of room through moving stuff and then emptying it also helps
Lucinda Lavender: also creating litle assembleges of stones, crystals, colors

    --BELL--

Lucinda Lavender: does that sound strange?
druth Vlodovic: ah, I was thinking physical labour and music, rather than nesting
druth Vlodovic: have you read about fung shui?
druth Vlodovic: shway? however they spell it
Lucinda Lavender: I think you are right...physical labor is part of it
Lucinda Lavender: feng shui yes...have some books
druth Vlodovic: our environment is part of us
Lucinda Lavender: trying to make a beautiful effect
Lucinda Lavender: it must be on a feeling level too
Lucinda Lavender: works with the feelings
druth Vlodovic: we become like our environment, so it is good to make our environment like us, and like we wish to feel
Lucinda Lavender: tending it inside and out
druth Vlodovic: I was listening to some of my daughter's music today
    Lucinda Lavender: ah...which?
druth Vlodovic: some nasty stuff, I was suprised
druth Vlodovic: screamo they call it now, and death metal etc, when I was a kid we just called it heavy metal
Lucinda Lavender: ah... must have some cathartic effect I imagine
    druth Vlodovic: it does
druth Vlodovic: it makes you feel part of the world, because part of the world "feels" like you
druth Vlodovic: the odd thing is that I never imagined she felt like that
Lucinda Lavender: ah...a transfer sort of
    druth Vlodovic: a fitting in
druth Vlodovic: flow back and forth
Lucinda Lavender: the creation and the destruction of energy
druth Vlodovic: a state of consciousness in a way, creating it around us so we can experience it
Lucinda Lavender: both true ...and something to learn through
druth Vlodovic: sometimes I find "soothing" music very jangling
Lucinda Lavender: inappropriate to the time
druth Vlodovic: because it is too different from what I am at the time, it is like being in a foreign universe
    druth Vlodovic: yuo meditate?
    Lucinda Lavender: yes
druth Vlodovic: do you have a special place you do it?
    Lucinda Lavender: do you?
    Lucinda Lavender: not right now
druth Vlodovic: no, it's another "project" I'm afraid
    druth Vlodovic: you did though?
Lucinda Lavender: I know...yes...I have created many spaces for it but I can really do it anywhere
    Lucinda Lavender: yes
Lucinda Lavender: usually sat up in bed
druth Vlodovic: you're in the advanced class :)
Lucinda Lavender: and at yoga class
    Lucinda Lavender: how is that?
druth Vlodovic: you don't need to create the space outside so much as inside, you have greater control
Lucinda Lavender: I find I get too distracted by the project of setting up...same with writing...look for the just right space and distract myself that way
    Lucinda Lavender: :)
druth Vlodovic: funny, the process of altering yourself to start distracts you
Lucinda Lavender: I am pretty visual...hard to sit down and relax when in a mess
Lucinda Lavender: that is why going to class helps
druth Vlodovic: yes, true of everybody I suspect, but many people are "used to it"

    --BELL--

Lucinda Lavender: now I like to just shut my eyes, sit up straight, whereever
    druth Vlodovic: no excuses
    Lucinda Lavender: nodding:)
    Lucinda Lavender: and when walking...
Lucinda Lavender: getting a bit sleepy...better go for now...
druth Vlodovic: ok, it was fun talking to you
Lucinda Lavender: it was! I appreciate it:)
    druth Vlodovic: good night Lucinda
    Lucinda Lavender: goodnight druth:)
