    Eliza Madrigal: Hi Storm :))
    Storm Nordwind smiles
    Eliza Madrigal smiles too
Eliza Madrigal: What are you up to today?
SophiaSharon Larnia: hi Strom and cute umm, smile in the air
    SophiaSharon Larnia: Storm*
Eliza Madrigal: Hi Sharon :) Morning
    SophiaSharon Larnia: cheshire cat :)
    Eliza Madrigal grins too
    SophiaSharon Larnia: thats awesome
Eliza Madrigal: have to admit it feels fun
Storm Nordwind: Reminds me of Lewis Carroll, yes
Eliza Madrigal: Not sure how it will affect the session though :)
SophiaSharon Larnia: wow it really is cute! It always makes me feel even odder in SL, to see cartoon characters
Storm Nordwind: Also of a goodbye poem I wrote a year ago
    SophiaSharon Larnia: oh?
    Eliza Madrigal: a goodbye?
Storm Nordwind: There was a twitter party for gogyohka
Storm Nordwind: and i wrote around 20 poems for it
    Eliza Madrigal: Ooohhhh
Storm Nordwind: at the end of the evening I signed off with an impromptu poem too

    Storm Nordwind:
this humble poet / bows in gratitude / and walks quietly away / till only his smile / remains

Eliza Madrigal: Yes! I remember that Storm!
    SophiaSharon Larnia: smiles
    SophiaSharon Larnia: nice
    Eliza Madrigal: quite
Storm Nordwind: Yes - your daughter retweeted it!
    Eliza Madrigal: :))
Eliza Madrigal: I miss her, hehe
Eliza Madrigal: boyfriends are trouble, giggle
    SophiaSharon Larnia: hah
    Storm Nordwind: adolescents are trouble
    Eliza Madrigal: :))
Eliza Madrigal: One thing the cheshire smile makes me think about, is 'blinking in and out of existence'
Storm Nordwind: I was born in Cheshire :)
    Eliza Madrigal: how fitting :)
SophiaSharon Larnia: ha! you are a cheshire cat
SophiaSharon Larnia: that cat from cheshire
    SophiaSharon Larnia: hi observerm :)
Storm Nordwind: Loki's Cheshire cat :)
    observerm Resident waves
Eliza Madrigal waves happily to Observerm

Eliza Madrigal: Last week Sharon and I talked about 'flip books of reality'
Eliza Madrigal: and Pema wrote about bubbles
SophiaSharon Larnia: and last night Eos said something about moments not being single like that but more like honey :) the wording is not right there, but havent thought about that yet
Eliza Madrigal: lovely session last night, or so Lila told me ;-)
SophiaSharon Larnia: yes, it was nice to see Lila agaian too
Storm Nordwind: What a delightful friend you have there :)
    Eliza Madrigal: :))
Eliza Madrigal hopes that Observerm will take the tour to see the theater

SophiaSharon Larnia: and since then I've revised my book Eliza haha, since you cant tell when one moment ends or starts, its more like a wave, not a dot ^^
    Eliza Madrigal: ooooo
SophiaSharon Larnia: grins at the floating grin
Eliza Madrigal: I'd love to hear more Sharon... spontaneous explorations are so interesting
SophiaSharon Larnia: how a time wave would go is beyond me, but its fun to think about

    --BELL--

    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Eliza Madrigal: I do wonder 'why' it seems we got the notion that reifying everything was more 'efficient'
Eliza Madrigal: so much so that we work now to let ourselves re-examine that
SophiaSharon Larnia: much of what I think I cant hold onto concretely
Storm Nordwind: Keeps philosophers and saints in business I guess ;)
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Eliza Madrigal: maybe that comes with seeing the thinking too, Sharon
SophiaSharon Larnia: much of what i think is silly too, but thats another story

Storm Nordwind: Silliness is wonderful and much underestimated

    SophiaSharon Larnia: seeing the thinking?
Eliza Madrigal sits up straight and looks dignified
    SophiaSharon Larnia: hehe
Eliza Madrigal: well to notice that you can't hold onto your thinking seems that you see the thinking and the can't hold onto?
SophiaSharon Larnia: waves=honey, just hadnt gotten furthur yet
SophiaSharon Larnia: i have a terrible memory :)
SophiaSharon Larnia: on purpose i think sometimes
Eliza Madrigal: :) so says Storm too and you both are wonderful builders, hmm
    Storm Nordwind chuckles
SophiaSharon Larnia: i havent been in sl to mess around in ages
    SophiaSharon Larnia: hi Yakuzza
    Eliza Madrigal: Hi Yakuzza :)
Storm Nordwind: "you can't hold onto your thinking" ... maybe the problem is in the "your" ... maybe you don't own it, and it's just passing through :)
    Yakuzza Lethecus: good morning everyone
    Storm Nordwind: Hi Yaku
    SophiaSharon Larnia: yes indeed Storm
Yakuzza Lethecus wonders if i should bring my mad hatter :)
    Eliza Madrigal smiles
SophiaSharon Larnia: part of me wonders if it is picked up somewhere else
    SophiaSharon Larnia: like a wave
SophiaSharon Larnia: I love that mad hatter Yaku :)
Storm Nordwind: Some of it at least is, I'm sure
    SophiaSharon Larnia: yes

Storm Nordwind: Probably just as well for a couple of people with such bad memories - that we can draw on other people's knowledge as we go along!
SophiaSharon Larnia: wouldnt it be funny if you do all this thinking, arrive at some conclusions, and then find out that it was all already written in the tao of pooh
    SophiaSharon Larnia: (i digress)
    Storm Nordwind: (a worthy digression)
Eliza Madrigal: I have that experience all the time...hehe "great insight' and then see that I read it 10,000 places
SophiaSharon Larnia: yes! me too Eliza, since my memeory is so iffy, i have a constant "the chicken or the egg" syndrome
Storm Nordwind: Frees up your own brain cells for more constructive things than being dusty archives
Eliza Madrigal nods, this may be a pointer

Eliza Madrigal: Nice of you to join us for tea Sartre
    SophiaSharon Larnia: hi Satre :)
Yakuzza Lethecus: just because of the costume
    Sartre Placebo: hey everyone :)
    SophiaSharon Larnia: I like it6
    SophiaSharon Larnia: handsome fella
Storm Nordwind wonders whether he should dress up as Alice
    SophiaSharon Larnia: hahahhaa
Yakuzza Lethecus: gosh but he´s ruthhed
Eliza Madrigal: try to rebake him :)
    Storm Nordwind: Pas pour moi
SophiaSharon Larnia: he was fine a minute ago Yakuzza

Eliza Madrigal: have been reading Katagiri, on Dogen, expounding on swimming on the surface of the ocean while walking on the bottom
    SophiaSharon Larnia: ohh
    Bleu Oleander: hi everyone :)
    Storm Nordwind waves
    SophiaSharon Larnia: hi Bleu :)
Eliza Madrigal: "Each Moment is the Universe"
    Sartre Placebo: hey bleu
    Eliza Madrigal: Hello Bleu!
    Yakuzza Lethecus: hey bleu
Sartre Placebo: well i put him away
    SophiaSharon Larnia: bye bye Satre
Yakuzza Lethecus: the costume was a gift by sophia placebo
Storm Nordwind is disappointed when Sharon removes one of her wonderful classic hats

    --BELL--

Storm Nordwind beams as the hat reappears
    SophiaSharon Larnia: aww hehe
Eliza Madrigal: :)) Love Sharon's hats too
SophiaSharon Larnia feels like she needs some more sl play time
    SophiaSharon Larnia: oh well :)
Storm Nordwind is exceedingly fortunate to be able to combine both
Eliza Madrigal: I do love that look Obs, like something from Dickens
SophiaSharon Larnia: it struck me once again yesterday how very lucky I am to be able to think about these kinds of topics in general anyway
    Eliza Madrigal: hmmm
SophiaSharon Larnia: yes me too (@ ELiza)
SophiaSharon Larnia: like your hat Bleu :)
SophiaSharon Larnia: love the bird lol
Bleu Oleander: it's a Sharon kinda hat :)
Eliza Madrigal grins at Bleu and remembers Kit saying that the family would wear silly hats for holiday dinners....
    SophiaSharon Larnia: hehe
Eliza Madrigal: "hard to argue in a silly hat"
    SophiaSharon Larnia: yes, hahaha
Storm Nordwind: Yes, Sharon. We're in a society when survival is largely taken care of, where have the luxury of time to think about these things
    SophiaSharon Larnia: :) Storm
Eliza Madrigal: seems people have been thinking of these things all along...

SophiaSharon Larnia: I was concerned about how to sit on the floor properly, when it hit me how luxurious it is to worry about such things

Eliza Madrigal: but setting aside time to, still does seem luxurious!
    SophiaSharon Larnia: hi Zen :
Eliza Madrigal: Oh, yes I read that you'd found a group Sharon, nice
    Eliza Madrigal: Hi Zen :)
SophiaSharon Larnia: a couple of issues came up that I didnt know were there
    Bleu Oleander: hi Zen
SophiaSharon Larnia: well, i did, but ive been ignoring them i guess
    Eliza Madrigal listens
    Zen Arado: Hi all
    Storm Nordwind: Hi!

SophiaSharon Larnia: (gets shyer when someone says listens lol)
    Bleu Oleander: :)
Eliza Madrigal: Oh! Not listening... ignoring you....
Storm Nordwind pretends not to listen
    Eliza Madrigal: heheh
    SophiaSharon Larnia: laughs
Eliza Madrigal whistles and looks around
Zen Arado: (pretends not to listen)
    Bleu Oleander: hahaha
    Storm Nordwind whistles distractedly
Bleu Oleander wishes she could whistle
Zen Arado: did somebody say something?

SophiaSharon Larnia: basically, the issue is whether something is a "problem" such as "sitting incorrectly"... I cant actually do something wrong in that regard, only do what is right for me.
Eliza Madrigal: I still work with that too
SophiaSharon Larnia: and it made me look at my motivation to "sit correctly", is it for me or to please anyone, or to fit in (aka - be invisible)
Storm Nordwind looks around in case the Sitting Police are watching him
    Zen Arado: 'sitting incorrectly' ?
    SophiaSharon Larnia: yes, in meditation
Zen Arado: how do you mean?
Eliza Madrigal: I was very interested to ask people about hand positions and such, in meditation, but most I asked just sort of brushed me off
SophiaSharon Larnia: not on the rocking chair i have done on my porch for years lol
    SophiaSharon Larnia: hmm Eliza
Storm Nordwind applauds the use of a rocking chair
SophiaSharon Larnia: yes its very comfortable
Eliza Madrigal: yes me too, rocking chair meditation, lovely!
Eliza Madrigal: reminds me of childhood :)
Zen Arado: it is very important in Zen though especially if you sit all day at retreats
SophiaSharon Larnia: yes, i rock and watch and see and be, the dust becomes me
Zen Arado: you get too much pain if you don't sit correctly
    Storm Nordwind: Oh wonderful Sharon!
Eliza Madrigal: I like the instructions to hold arms as though you have eggs under them, hehe
SophiaSharon Larnia: birds, winds moving sun, cars, lawn mowers etc
    SophiaSharon Larnia: bees
Eliza Madrigal: beautiful... what could possibly be 'wrong' about that :)

SophiaSharon Larnia: yes Zen, thats what im dealing with
SophiaSharon Larnia: its fixable im sure
Zen Arado: your body will soon tell you if you sit all day
    Eliza Madrigal nods
Eliza Madrigal: I've never done that (all day)
Zen Arado: sitting with back straight and upright
SophiaSharon Larnia: i cant really take more than an hr
Zen Arado: keeps the spinal vertebrae in alignment
    SophiaSharon Larnia: yes
SophiaSharon Larnia: have been thinking of my motivation to do so though.... part of the problem with the rocking chair is that Im not truely in my body completly, i dont think

Zen Arado: if you get sore knees you put up with a certain amount of discomfort but you don't torture yourself

Eliza Madrigal: yes I like to think it isn't about 'fitting in' so much as about people who havee learned some things technologically that they pass along :)
SophiaSharon Larnia: and never really have been
Zen Arado: don't think a rocking chair is a good idea
Eliza Madrigal: ahhh, so maybe grounding is something you are working on Sharon?
SophiaSharon Larnia: yes, one gentleman let me try his pi bench, those are really comfortable
Storm Nordwind only attends groups where chairs are provided for those who prefer them

    --BELL--

Zen Arado: yeh a seiza bench is good
SophiaSharon Larnia: oh yes, i wouldnt attend one that didnt do that Strom
    SophiaSharon Larnia: Strom*
    Storm Nordwind chuckles
    SophiaSharon Larnia: sighs
    SophiaSharon Larnia: and rolls eyes
Zen Arado: sitting near the floor is best but a chair is ok if you can't manage it
    Storm Nordwind: Why best?
Zen Arado: I have no options but wheelchair
Zen Arado: it's warmer for a start
Zen Arado: my legs get cold because they are exposed
SophiaSharon Larnia: again, the luxury to ponder such "problems" (which you can see isn't really a problem)
Zen Arado: on a cushion they are close to you
Eliza Madrigal considers that posture is a larger idea than sitting position
SophiaSharon Larnia: Zen, can you cover up?
    Storm Nordwind nods to Eliza
Zen Arado: yeh but the posture is the foundation
Eliza Madrigal: posture one brings to 'everything'
SophiaSharon Larnia: yes thats the other reason why i have to make a change

Zen Arado: if the posture is right everything else is easier

    Eliza Madrigal: agreed too, Zen
Zen Arado: I don't like blankets and they don't cover lower legs
SophiaSharon Larnia: my back has been aching from the improved posture, i know thats not forever
Storm Nordwind prefers to let the change start on the inside, and manifest outwards - rather than the other way round.
Eliza Madrigal: but 'where' is posture
Zen Arado: my lower legs are like ice sitting in a cold zendo
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
SophiaSharon Larnia: yes Storm, I am conflicted, but ive been in a holding pattern for so long

Zen Arado: well I'm just giving a more or less Zen view
Zen Arado: they seem very strict about posture
SophiaSharon Larnia: :))) I appreciate that Zen
Storm Nordwind: The shock of new things helps us see both the value and the lack of value in old things
Zen Arado: but I can sit on my wheelchair all day and don't have back problems
SophiaSharon Larnia: where Ive been going lately they are not, this is just on me

    SophiaSharon Larnia: hi Sun
    Eliza Madrigal: Hi Sun :)
    Zen Arado: Hi Sun :)
    Yakuzza Lethecus: hey sun
Eliza Madrigal: earlier we were talking about moments, and flip books, and blinking in and out of existence....
Eliza Madrigal: I found a quote I looked for....

Eliza Madrigal: "Dogen said that most people are not able to acquire the way-seeking mind of spiritual awareness without deeply understanding that a day consists of 6,400,099,180 moments"

    Bleu Oleander: hi Sun :)
    SophiaSharon Larnia: wow
Eliza Madrigal: Hm, she blinked out
Storm Nordwind sees a bright (if bald) ray of light appear - and vanish
SophiaSharon Larnia: what constitutes a moment? a second??
Zen Arado: if you read Dogen's Fukazazenki it is all about posture
SophiaSharon Larnia: is that number random?
Eliza Madrigal: I laughed when I saw this because yes what does that mean? hehe
Eliza Madrigal: it is meant to convey something... a very official sounding number
SophiaSharon Larnia: its a ridiculously huge number hahaha
Eliza Madrigal: one could take it very literally or not take it seriously at all
Eliza Madrigal: and both would miss what he's saying I suppose
    Zen Arado: http://www.zenki.com/index.php?lang=...e=Fukanzazengi
SophiaSharon Larnia: i see the literal part of it

Storm Nordwind: There are 74075.221990740 of them in a single second ;)

    SophiaSharon Larnia: wow
    Eliza Madrigal: @@
Storm Nordwind: Dogen had a sense of humor :)
    SophiaSharon Larnia: yes
Eliza Madrigal: seems many of these texts do this... give you these unfathomable numbers
Zen Arado: yeh the Buddha gave them too
SophiaSharon Larnia: I like a gajillion
Eliza Madrigal: hehe yes and Pema's 'squintillion'
    SophiaSharon Larnia: :D
Eliza Madrigal: (which Sharon said sounded very small like one has to squint to see it)

Storm Nordwind: It's koan-like - to try and break obsessive mental habits

Eliza Madrigal: habits of seeing a day 'in tact', Storm?
SophiaSharon Larnia: how many angels on the head of a pin? A squintillion
Storm Nordwind: All sort - habits of breaking things into parts, obsessing on details, wanting "perfect" instructions etc etc etc
Eliza Madrigal: wow we figured it out, amazing
    SophiaSharon Larnia: :D
Eliza Madrigal definitely wants perfect instructions
Eliza Madrigal: :) or like I asked in a dream once "idiot proof'
Storm Nordwind: No one can give them to you
Eliza Madrigal: then my table will always wobble
Storm Nordwind: so speaks a buddha in waiting
Eliza Madrigal: wobbly table might go well with rocking chair

SophiaSharon Larnia: a buddha in waiting, wow, I just had some visual with that

Zen Arado: you are like the Cheshire cat Eliza
SophiaSharon Larnia: a line of them into the distance :)
Zen Arado: nothing left but the smile
Eliza Madrigal smiles and wonders and smiles

    --BELL--

    Bleu Oleander . . . slips out quietly . . . bye :)
    Storm Nordwind waves
    Zen Arado: bye Bleu
Zen Arado: what happened to Sun?
    Eliza Madrigal: Bye Bleu :)
Eliza Madrigal: yes wonder too.... maybe something came up

Eliza Madrigal: Music session can of course, still take place.... maybe someone would like to play?
    SophiaSharon Larnia: bye observerm
    SophiaSharon Larnia: la la la
    Zen Arado: la la
Eliza Madrigal: sing, sing a song... sing out loud, sing out strong....
    SophiaSharon Larnia: hahah
Storm Nordwind will head back to the coast
SophiaSharon Larnia: have to go too, have fun :D
Eliza Madrigal: don't worry if it its not good enough, for anyone else to hear.... just sing, sing a son...
Eliza Madrigal: Bye Storm :) thanks
    Storm Nordwind waves
Eliza Madrigal: Bye Sharon, thanks too
SophiaSharon Larnia: sing like no one's listening
    Storm Nordwind: My pleasure
    Zen Arado: bye Storm
    SophiaSharon Larnia: bye for now!!
    Zen Arado: bye Sharon
Sunshine Vayandar: byebyeee and hellooo ;)

Eliza Madrigal: :) watching everyone blink away
    Eliza Madrigal: Hi Sun :))
    Zen Arado: Hi Sun
    Zen Arado: wb
    Zen Arado: :)
Sunshine Vayandar: took me long to arrive hmm ;)
Sunshine Vayandar: how are you all ;)
    Eliza Madrigal: sneezy and dopey
    Zen Arado: ok ty
    Sunshine Vayandar: hi Zenji ;)
Zen Arado: two of the dwarves?
    Sunshine Vayandar: and Yakuji ;)
    Eliza Madrigal: heheh
Eliza Madrigal: Yaku may be bi-locating
    Sunshine Vayandar: bi-locating?
Zen Arado: he he good name
    Sunshine Vayandar: ;)
Sunshine Vayandar: Liz you look different somehow
    Zen Arado: Satre isn't online
Eliza Madrigal: if Sartre was online he might be quadruple locating
    Sunshine Vayandar: ;)
    Zen Arado: :)
Sunshine Vayandar: this is getting confusing for me ;)
Eliza Madrigal: I thought to take the tour of the theater this morning
    Sunshine Vayandar: yes Me too
Eliza Madrigal: wonder if I can ride the balloon like this
Zen Arado: I was doing that too yesterday
Zen Arado: I used my alt to test a video player
    Sunshine Vayandar: ah really
    Eliza Madrigal: did it work?
    Zen Arado: yeh finally
Sunshine Vayandar: I was testing my alt today too
Zen Arado: worked for me but not for others for a while
Sunshine Vayandar: Liz I can only see your hat
    Sunshine Vayandar: ;)
Sunshine Vayandar: ahh there you are
    Sunshine Vayandar: ;))
    Sunshine Vayandar: so cute
Zen Arado: yeh they are handy for testing things
Eliza Madrigal: am I distracting? hehe
    Sunshine Vayandar: hehe
Zen Arado: but overloads my computer having two on at once
    Sunshine Vayandar: yes mine too
Sunshine Vayandar: I have 2 alts
Sunshine Vayandar: imagine having all of them on
    Zen Arado: me too
Eliza Madrigal: I'm not sure how people manage, even on two computers my alt will be screwy if signed on with regular identity

Zen Arado: but one is secret
Sunshine Vayandar: ;) tell me tell meeee
    Sunshine Vayandar: ;p
    Zen Arado: no
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
    Sunshine Vayandar sighs .... okok
Eliza Madrigal: we won't tell Zen
Sunshine Vayandar: yes we can keep a secret
Zen Arado: you won't be able to :)
Eliza Madrigal: doesn't this seem an honest face?
    Sunshine Vayandar: very very
    Sunshine Vayandar: and mine too
    Eliza Madrigal: yes very
Sunshine Vayandar: yes we are very honest people
    Eliza Madrigal: and cats
    Eliza Madrigal giggles
    Eliza Madrigal: Hi Riddle :)
    Zen Arado: Hi Riddle :)
    Sunshine Vayandar: hi Riddle ;)
Eliza Madrigal: oh, nothing more honest than a blue dragon
    Riddle Sideways: Hi all,
    Sunshine Vayandar: yes ;)
Riddle Sideways: can not chat today, must work, but can listen
Zen Arado: with a maroon dress :)
    Riddle Sideways: :)

Eliza Madrigal: btw, should anyone like a cup of tea, perfect and magical tea, there is a tea set given to me by a dear friend, floating in the fountain
    Sunshine Vayandar: ;p
    Zen Arado: ty Eliza
Eliza Madrigal: listen while you work... la la la la la la la
    Sunshine Vayandar: ty Liz ;)
    Riddle Sideways: :) ty
Sunshine Vayandar: I was thinking of doing the tour

    Sunshine Vayandar: right?

    Sunshine Vayandar: Yakuuu ;)
Eliza Madrigal: yes I'd like to take the tour
    Riddle Sideways: it's too late..

Sunshine Vayandar: hmm Riddle you don't have time to come?

    Eliza Madrigal: ;-D
    Sunshine Vayandar: who changed sex?
    Riddle Sideways: it's not there

Eliza Madrigal: imagines bell pleading "please please observe 90 seconds of silence..." heheh

    Riddle Sideways: the song
Yakuzza Lethecus: sun the liddle dragon :)
    Eliza Madrigal: awwww
    Sunshine Vayandar: lalalaaa

Sunshine Vayandar looks around for herself
