Pema Pera: hi Maxine!
Maxine Walden: hi, Pema
Maxine Walden: last morning here for awhile (or evening)
Pema Pera: yes indeed!
Maxine Walden: a whole year!
Maxine Walden: hi, Wester, Eliza
Pema Pera: yes, week by week . . . .
Pema Pera: hi Wester!
Maxine Walden: indeed
Pema Pera: hi Eliza!
Eliza Madrigal: Hi Maxine, Pema, Wester :))
Wester Kiranov: hi pema, maxine, eliza
Maxine Walden: we were just thinking about this being the last Time session, after a year
Eliza Madrigal: It is funny, I feel sort of exhilarated... sometimes I don't begin to process until we 'finish' something, hah
Pema Pera: oh, I know the feeling!
Maxine Walden: yes, know what you mean
Pema Pera: another form of "starting at the end" :-)
Pema Pera: hi Bruce!
Maxine Walden: :) !
Maxine Walden: hi, Bruce
Bruce Mowbray: Hi, everyone -- Sorry to be late, but SL made me re-install Viewer 2.
Wester Kiranov: yes, it always does that to me too ;)
Pema Pera: SL made me do it . . . .
Pema Pera: teh latest defense line!
Maxine Walden: :)
Pema Pera: good (early) morning, Bleu!
Eliza Madrigal: Morning Bleu :)
Maxine Walden: hi, bleu
Bleu Oleander: hi everyone!
Wester Kiranov: hi bleu
Eliza Madrigal smiles at Bleu's presentation of appearance
Bruce Mowbray: Hi, Bleu -- Loved the image of the smiling-face-flower-ball!
Bleu Oleander: :)
Maxine Walden: oh, yes, bleu :)
Pema Pera: quite an appearance indeed!
Maxine Walden: loved that image in your report
Pema Pera: yes, another beauty of a report!
Bleu Oleander: Murakami painting
Maxine Walden: ah!
Eliza Madrigal: wonderful google image for solstice
Bleu Oleander: Tokyo artist
Eliza Madrigal: makes one giggle....
Pema Pera: thank you, Bleu!
Maxine Walden: thanks, bleu!
Eliza Madrigal: thanks much, Bleu :)
Bleu Oleander: yw!
Pema Pera: I was really moved by all the enthusiastic notes in the reports, and I want to thank you all for all your thanks :-)
Pema Pera: and for making this possible!
Pema Pera: hi Adams!
Maxine Walden: :))
Maxine Walden: hi, Adams
Wester Kiranov: hi adams
Bleu Oleander: hi Adams
Adams Dubrovna: Hello Everyone :)
Eliza Madrigal: Hi Adams :)
Bruce Mowbray: Hi, Adams.
Eliza Madrigal: Thanks so much Pema, very generous of you to open your process and let us play around with everything
Eliza Madrigal: jump on sofas, etc
Maxine Walden: :))
Pema Pera: and very generous of you all to come along to play with me!
Eliza Madrigal: Hi Riddle :)
Adams Dubrovna: Hello Riddle :)
Maxine Walden: hi, Riddle
Pema Pera: hi Riddle 0 and 1 and 2 !
Bruce Mowbray: Hi, Riddle. . . enjoyed reading your 3 reports this week.
Riddle Sideways: good ____, all
Maxine Walden: yes!
Wester Kiranov: hi riddle
Pema Pera: Riddle Goodall
Maxine Walden: :))
Bleu Oleander: hi Riddle
Pema Pera: (long last brother of Jane)
Riddle Sideways: ty
Pema Pera: I also liked the art work in Riddle 1, very gentle wave
Riddle Sideways: :))
Bleu Oleander likes the image of Jumping on sofas :)
Maxine Walden: yes, like the trace of a wave in the sand
Eliza Madrigal: :))
Pema Pera imaging a vacuum cleaner on the sofa . . .
Maxine Walden: sucking up the jumps, Pema?
Pema Pera: struggling with the sand
Maxine Walden: oh
Wester Kiranov: :)(
Wester Kiranov: * :) (gee, typos in smileys look weird)
Pema Pera: :-)
Maxine Walden: :))
Riddle Sideways: lol
--BELL--
Pema Pera: curling corners of mouth -- a new smiley; picturing a moustace with circles at the end, going with it!
Riddle Sideways: :D
Maxine Walden: hmm, a harmonious gathering of semi-circles?
Riddle Sideways: like bleus
Eliza Madrigal: :)
Eliza Madrigal: Pema, do you have any reflections about the year, about the process... arrangement and treatment of furniture (re sand in sofas, heh) as compared with any vision you may have had?
Bleu Oleander: :)
Pema Pera: hmmmm, that's a big question . . . .
Pema Pera: I enjoyed the process
Pema Pera: even though it entailed a lot of pressure, in terms of deadlines
Pema Pera: but without those, I would never have found the time to write a whole book manuscript
Pema Pera: as for expectations, I had none, really
Riddle Sideways: are we really that hard on you?
Eliza Madrigal: :)
Pema Pera: it just felt like a good thing to do
Pema Pera: didn't know what I would write, or how you would respond
Eliza Madrigal: I like your image of a happy puzzle :)
Pema Pera: but I'm very pleased and grateful
Pema Pera: and quite amazed to see so many of you staying to the end, and continuing to write reports ! ! ! !
Eliza Madrigal looks around at all the pleased and happy faces
Pema Pera: :-)
Bleu Oleander: :))
Riddle Sideways: the beauty of a wiki is that other readers later can write reports too
Pema Pera: ah, yes, hadn't thought about that
Wester Kiranov: i for one am very happy too to have been a smal part of this
Pema Pera: Maxine, do we dare ask you whether you have thought more about a possible follow up ?
Maxine Walden: :) yes, I have been thinking about it, and could envision something I think, if folks are still interested
Pema Pera raises hand
Bleu Oleander: me too
Maxine Walden: Shall I mention some thoughts so folks could veto the idea if they wished?
Eliza Madrigal: very much interested, listening :)
Pema Pera: yes, please!
Bruce Mowbray also raises hand - and tries not to spill coffee on riddle.
Eliza Madrigal: hah
Pema Pera: hehehe
Riddle Sideways listens
Riddle Sideways: :)
Maxine Walden: The book, Regarding Reality suggests that we 'create' different perceived realities according to our states of mind
Maxine Walden: Sort of like lenses upon our perception of reality
Maxine Walden: What I had in mind was that I could excerpt chapters and we could think about them, write about them or just muse about them, and you all could help me 'edit' my thoughts
Bleu Oleander: sounds great Maxine
Pema Pera seconds Bleu
Riddle Sideways: suppose it includes dreaming up reality too
Wester Kiranov: I think that's a good idea to think and talk about
Maxine Walden: ah, dreams are really important in my thought
Eliza Madrigal: I'm in :)
Pema Pera: me 2
Bleu Oleander: me 3
Wester Kiranov: especially if there are drweams in there too
Riddle Sideways: me 4
Adams Dubrovna: me 5
--BELL--
Maxine Walden: well, great
Maxine Walden: There will be Fridays when I will be traveling, but guess we can work around that...oh, is this timeslot what we should count on?
Eliza Madrigal pictures flowery happy faced balls bouncing in through Maxine's front door
Maxine Walden: hahahah, Eliza
Bleu Oleander: haha
Wester Kiranov: :D
Riddle Sideways: happy picture
Pema Pera: for me, this time slot works, though I know it is early for you, Maxine, and for Bleu and Riddle
Maxine Walden: Not sure how long such a workshop would feel creative...shall we just see? Any thoughts?
Pema Pera: for me it's late, 10 - 11 pm
Eliza Madrigal: this is generally a wonderful time for me as well
Adams Dubrovna: it is generally a good time for me too
Riddle Sideways: might sleep through it sometimes :)
Eliza Madrigal: :)
Bleu Oleander yawns
Maxine Walden: yes, it can be an early time or a late time for some
Bleu Oleander: as long as I have coffee i'm ok with this time :)
Eliza Madrigal: :))
Maxine Walden: Maybe we should try to have coffee or tea for us all, virtually
Eliza Madrigal: thankfully, with reports everyone is able to contribute when awake, heh
Pema Pera: so that we virtually wake up?
Wester Kiranov: i am finally getting used to this time - i used to always feel it was one hour later, and miss it
Maxine Walden: :)
Eliza Madrigal: Oh goodness Wester :)
Maxine Walden: thanks, bleu
Eliza Madrigal: hope you can keep that, since we'll begin in a few months , right?
Maxine Walden: When shall we start, September?
Eliza Madrigal: Thank you Bleu :)
Eliza Madrigal: September sounds very nice
Bleu Oleander: sounds great
Wester Kiranov: i'm fine with september
Riddle Sideways: self-imposed deadlines?
Pema Pera: yes, me too
Maxine Walden: have to look at my calendar...would Friday Sept 9 be OK to start?
Riddle Sideways: can't we be more pushy
Maxine Walden: or later better?
Eliza Madrigal: we'll already have a break due to retreat possibly
Eliza Madrigal: 9 seems fine :)
Adams Dubrovna: I probably would have to join you later
Pema Pera: fine with me too
Maxine Walden: yes, Friday Sept 30 will be during Vashon retreat, tho perhaps some of us could come to the workshop, would be early in Seattle
Eliza Madrigal: Ah :)
Maxine Walden: before the retreat day would begin, I imagine
Maxine Walden: Adams, would you need a week or two later?
Bleu Oleander: sleepless in seattle :)
Riddle Sideways: :)
Maxine Walden: :)) bleu!!
Pema Pera: sleepless in Seattle, listening to the rain, watching the SL screen from under bedcovers . . . .
Maxine Walden: (loved that film, know all the places in it, live near some of them)
Eliza Madrigal: yes sweet film
Adams Dubrovna: Yes, September will be a busy time for me
Maxine Walden: yes, Pema, sometimes 'tis true :)
Maxine Walden: Any time you could join us would be wonderful, Adams
--BELL--
Maxine Walden: My mind wandering back to here/now re this wonderful workshop...
Eliza Madrigal: the time we're in is the magical time?
Maxine Walden: yes!
Maxine Walden: the magic moment
Pema Pera: yes, it is . . . .all we have to do is remember to stop closing off for that
Riddle Sideways: this magic moment - (from Adams reports)
Pema Pera: a life time challenge -- for me, and probably for most of us :-)
Bleu Oleander: indeed!
Maxine Walden: agree
Pema Pera: releasing the death grip (from Adams report)
Eliza Madrigal: :)))
Wester Kiranov: the magic is right inside the ordinary
Bleu Oleander: nothing is ordinary :)
Riddle Sideways: finding that out for that first time ... again
Adams Dubrovna: :)
Maxine Walden: :)
Wester Kiranov: maybe i should have put ordinary in quotes
Maxine Walden: :) every moment is magic which makes the ordinary extra-ordinary?
Riddle Sideways: what a strange phrase "extra-ordinary"
Eliza Madrigal: Ordinary Magic :) yes strange phrases
Eliza Madrigal: happy puzzles
Wester Kiranov: the magic is everywhere, but it is easier to notice in the beautiful, less easy in the ugly, least easy in the mundane
Riddle Sideways: in smiling flowers
Eliza Madrigal ponders again 'not rushing by'
Riddle Sideways: remember to stop and smile with the flowers
Maxine Walden: :)
Riddle Sideways: wooooow
Eliza Madrigal: @@
Eliza Madrigal: :::beams::::::
Maxine Walden: here they come!!
