The Guardian for this meeting was Eden Haiku. The comments are by Eden Haiku.
Teachings from the whales
A whale emerging at Cap du Bon Désir near Tadoussac (Quebec)
Eliza Madrigal: Hi Eden :))
Eliza Madrigal: soft pinks...nice
Eden Haiku: Good morning Eliza;-)
Eliza Madrigal hopes to hear a bit about your time with the whales today :) Relaxing?
Eden Haiku: The whales have been communicative, yes.
Eliza Madrigal: :)
Eden Haiku: I cannot say it was relaxing because it was a lot of work: a lot of meditations and experiences and sharing.
Eden Haiku: But it was exhilarating!
Eliza Madrigal: this was with the same group you went to Egypt with?
Eden Haiku: Same leader, a few people from the group in Egypt but a lot more people: we were 201, including the organization which was fantastic.
Eliza Madrigal: wow
--BELL--
Eden Haiku: With rain gears, sunscreen and mosquitoes nets...
Eliza Madrigal: oh, sure
Eden Haiku: But we have been very lucky: no mosquitoes, just one day of rain and the rest we spent outside on the dunes, for all day long or by the fjord...
Eden Haiku: I have a better tan than after Egypt;-)
Yakuzza Lethecus: good morning
Eliza Madrigal: it seems a wonderful idea though, to weave together your spiritual work with vacation :)
Eliza Madrigal: Hi yaku! :)
Eden Haiku: Ah, Yaku! Thought of you in Sweden on Midsummer day ;-)
Eden Haiku: How was your trip Yak?
Yakuzza Lethecus: it was nice, but too short
Yakuzza Lethecus: went to bed 2 am this morning
Yakuzza Lethecus: had to be at work at 6 am :P
Eden Haiku: oh!
Eden Haiku: You must be tired, but happy right?
Yakuzza Lethecus: i am !
Eliza Madrigal: :)))
Yakuzza Lethecus: well i have to admit i wasn't too excited about the midsommar celebration itself, but still i thought i had to see it
Eliza Madrigal: What did it entail?
Eden Haiku: Oh tell us about the celebration Yak.
FcSeeker Resident: Hello Elixza, Eden and Yakuzzi
The newcomer is a panda: he knew PaB and gave us in IM all permissions to record him
Yakuzza Lethecus: oh, different dances of groups and the ppl around the "midsummer tree" don´t know how that´s called
Yakuzza Lethecus: hello seeker
Eden Haiku: HI Fc Seeker;-)
Eden Haiku: And what about you Eliza, how have you been?
Eliza Madrigal: Wonderful, Ya... I would have loved that :))
Eliza Madrigal: Hi FcS
Eliza Madrigal: Oh, fine, thanks
Eden Haiku: Are your children all in vacation now?
Eliza Madrigal: yes, though it doesn't feel like that... has been rather busy at the house with friends coming and going
Eden Haiku: THEY are in vacation, not their Mom apparently ;-)
Eliza Madrigal: precisely :-)
Basic practice
Eliza Madrigal: it is nice, but I'm also looking forward to Nova Scotia in a few weeks
Eden Haiku: Yes, you loved it so much in the forest last year!
Eliza Madrigal: have been getting back to 'basic' practice
Eliza Madrigal: indeed, yes
Eden Haiku: You mean stopping every 15 minutes?
Eliza Madrigal: that is part of it
Eden Haiku: Tell us more Eliza about 'basic' practice
Eliza Madrigal: strange to describe but it felt like I 'wanted' to be a bit more disciplined for a while, and now that seems to be kicking in ...
Eliza Madrigal: and the way it is expressing itself is going back to first things...
Eliza Madrigal: bit longer sittings and 'waking' practice, logging dreams again, mantras
Eliza Madrigal: that sort of thing
Eliza Madrigal: It did me 'no good' to worry and fret when I wasn't... but am happy
Eden Haiku: oh, very nice yes ;-)
Anchors
Eden Haiku: What I do now every day is what we call "anchors"
Eliza Madrigal: I think preparing to go on retreat does this naturally too... just the idea of it
Eliza Madrigal: Oh? would you feel comfortable saying more? describing?
Eden Haiku: Sure;-)
Eliza Madrigal: ah, thanks... I don't like to pry too much but am very interested
Eden Haiku: No no, (((ELiza))). I LOVE talking as you know....
Eliza Madrigal: :)))
Eden Haiku: I discovered something very important for my poetry in this journey.
Eden Haiku: Silence between words is the key of transmission
Eliza Madrigal: mmm
FcSeeker Resident: Hello Zen and Bleu
Eliza Madrigal: Hi Zen and Bleu (will give you a note) :D
Bleu Oleander: hi everyone :)
Bleu created her outfit from a Japanese contemporary artist's work
--BELL--
Zen Arado: Hello all
Yakuzza Lethecus: hey bleu, hey zen
Bleu Oleander: ty Eliza :)
Eden Haiku: waves in silence
Eden Haiku: Welcome Zen and Bleu ;-)
Eliza Madrigal: :)) waving happily
Eden Haiku: We were talking about basic 'practice'
Eden Haiku: I was sharing with Eliza I now do some practice called "anchors"
Eden Haiku: I stand up, bend my knees to connect to the ground
Eden Haiku: Put my hands in front of my base chakra
Eden Haiku: And ask the telluric energies of the Earth to follow my hands of light through all the centers of energies of my physical and etheric bodies [Editing note: was saying it in reverse kind of: I connect my hands with the earth, then with the sky and then only do I bring my hands down to all my chakras back to the earth then up again a few inches away along the body. I do this again further away from the physical body for the emotional body and much further again for the mental body.]
Eliza Madrigal: *Visitor* Hi Welcome to PaB... have a seat and join us if you like
FcSeeker Resident: Hello *Visitor"
Eden Haiku: Hi *Visitor* Would you like to join us?
Die
After bouncing up and down in the pavilion for a little while, the giant *Visitor* dropped a word which shifted the conversation.
*Visitor*: die
Zen Arado: :)
Eden Haiku: I said something really funny during my initiatic journey
Eliza Madrigal listens :))
FcSeeker Resident: being all ears
Eden Haiku: I said: it might be tomorrow we die...
FcSeeker Resident: what kind of dead you meant ?
Eden Haiku: It was funny in the context... We were going through all cycles of life: our conception, birth, so on... and I suspected the next step was our death.
Eliza Madrigal: ah!
Eliza Madrigal: hehe
Eden Haiku: But I was right, it wasn't the next day: it was that very night that we died.
FcSeeker Resident: still all ears :)
Zen Arado: oh I am speaking to a spirit?
Eliza Madrigal: some of us went through an SL bardo this weekend too
Eden Haiku: And as soon as our hearts stopped beating, the leader said: "wake up now".
Eden Haiku: And we all rolled laughing hysterically...
Eliza Madrigal smiles
FcSeeker Resident: great <3
Eden Haiku: Oh, you had a SL retreat this week end Eliza?
Eliza Madrigal: No, an art installation Bleu brought us to... will give you a LM but dont mean to interrupt, am very interested
Eliza Madrigal: :)
Eden Haiku: Oh, yes, thank you Eliza.
Bleu Oleander: :))
Eliza Madrigal: bardo isn't the right word, but it was a journey :)
Eden Haiku: I see what you mean... bardo starts after, yes, I think...
Bleu Oleander: have another one to take everyone to
Eliza Madrigal: after yes as is 'do you want to wake up?'
Bleu Oleander: maybe do a field trip :)
As I was already typing when Bleu suggested a field trip, I didn't "hear" her, sorry for that Bleu :-)
Eden Haiku: So after asking telluric energies to follow my hands of light thru chakras of my physical and etheric bodies
Eden Haiku: I now open my crown chakra like this...
I now "wear" on my head the beautiful violet lotus Sun made and generously offered to many of us a few sessions ago
Eden Haiku: Like a violet lotus
Eliza Madrigal: :)
FcSeeker Resident: <3
Eden Haiku: And I bring my hands over my head to receive cosmic energies
Eden Haiku: And I ask this violet light to travel with my hands of light through all the chakras of my physical and etheric bodies back to the ground.
Eden Haiku: And then I do the same process for my emotional body
Eliza Madrigal: hmm
--BELL--
Eden Haiku: And a third time for my mental body
Eliza Madrigal: I'm not sure I've ever heard that description before 'emotional body'. That's very interesting. So you relate as though with layers of bodies?
Eden Haiku: Then I put my hands on my heart and acknowledge the fact I am a being of light
All this practice "stuff"
Zen Arado: why do you need to do all that Eden?
Eden Haiku: Yes, the teachings of the Violet Light (that's the name of it) acknowledge all the layers of bodies
Zen Arado: I am wondering about all this practice stuff lately
Eliza Madrigal: hmm
Zen Arado: even meditation
Zen Arado: brb
Bleu Oleander: anchor seems like a heavy word for a being of light
Eden Haiku: I do not need all that Zen, I choose to do it because it brings me peace.
Bleu Oleander: tether might be better
Eden Haiku: A being of light is anchored to the ground by its feet and to the cosmos by its crown chakra ;-)
Bleu Oleander: ah ok
Eliza Madrigal: some teachers talk about a 'pain body' to describe when someone has emotional trauma that projects onto others
Eden Haiku: The whole teachings are about how to expand our creative energies ;-)
Zen Arado: ah ok
Eliza Madrigal: Hi Bruce :)
Bleu Oleander: hi Bruce
Zen Arado: Hi Bruce
FcSeeker Resident: Hello Bruce :)
Bruce Mowbray: Hello, everyone. (Bruce listening.)
Zen Arado: I was reading Nisargadatta and he says: "There is nothing to do. Just be. Do nothing. Be. No climbing mountains and sitting in caves. I do not even say: 'be yourself', since you do not know yourself. Just be. Having seen that you are neither the 'outer' world of perceivables, nor the 'inner' world of thinkables, that you are neither body nor mind -- just be."
Eden Haiku: Ah yes, the emotional body includes a "pain body" but as we anchor it, it doesn't activate the pain body. It quiets it. Most of the times ;-)
Eliza Madrigal: :))
Eden Haiku: Hi Bruce!
Bleu Oleander: what makes you put your trust in Nisargadatta Zen?
Yakuzza Lethecus: hi bruce
Zen Arado: what he says just seems right to me
Eliza Madrigal: we can 'do' just be, as well
Eden Haiku: Do you feel it, that you are beings of light?
Bruce Mowbray waves to everyone and continues to listen.
Bleu Oleander: that's true for anyone who accepts anothers ideas
Zen Arado: since we are enlightened at heart why do we need all these external practices?
Eliza Madrigal: I digest ideas and then see how they show up in my life
Zen Arado: yes exactly Eliza
Zen Arado: they have to resonate
Bleu Oleander: what ever makes us feel happy
Eliza Madrigal: but easy to get the wrong end of the stick, hehe
Zen Arado: or concur with our experience
Bleu Oleander: doesn't mean its right for everyone
Eliza Madrigal nods
Zen Arado: fit in with what feels right
Eden Haiku: This practice takes me about 5 minutes everyday, that's not much. My boyfriend does it with me too. And we both find it very helpful throughout our days.
FcSeeker Resident: or just to check if something new is good for us also
Zen Arado: oh no
Eliza Madrigal: I think it is lovely Eden
Eliza Madrigal: At various points I've tried on many practices
Zen Arado: not saying Eden shouldn't do that
Zen Arado: if she gets something from it
Zen Arado: I still do meditation and body scans
Bleu Oleander: for me it's art and music
Eliza Madrigal: when we do that, often we see we had already been practicing 'something' but we didn't know it... maybe in an unexamined way
Zen Arado: just expressing some doubts I have atm about practice
Eliza Madrigal: yes @ Bleu
Zen Arado: they come up from time to time too
Eliza Madrigal: understood Zen, nods
Eden Haiku: Much better then when I used to wake up at dawn to chant one hour and a half in sanskrit then meditate for one hour before taking the subway to go to work with the "Rudram" playing in my ears...
Bleu Oleander: :))
Eliza Madrigal: :) sounds lovely too
Eliza Madrigal: I have a 'salad' practice at my core 'outlook'
Bruce Mowbray: Dharma Gates are infinite -- I vow to enter them all.
Eliza Madrigal smiles @ Bruce
Eliza Madrigal: Beings are numberless I vow to love them
Eden Haiku: I went thru "spiritual" burn outs before you see Zen, so I only undertake very light practices. That's why I like the 1% time tax of Play as Being
Experiencing what is carrying everything
FcSeeker Resident: I also want to thank you Eden to share this practice because I know some such people that I believe this kind shall help them much :)
Bruce Mowbray: During the 90-second drops, I've been doing a slightly different 'practice' recently: I 'drop' whatever it is I'm 'carrying' to experience what (if anything) is carrying everything.
Eliza Madrigal: "wearing lightly"
Bleu Oleander: never had a "spiritual burnout"
Bleu Oleander: what does that feel like?
Eden Haiku: Dark Bleu, very dark.
Eliza Madrigal: interesting, Bruce (oh I want to follow up on everything can we stay here all day!)
Bleu Oleander: depressing?
Eden Haiku: Yeah, I think my "pain body" kicked in...Took me years to emerge from that darkness
Eliza Madrigal: a 'collapse'
Eliza Madrigal: the universe collapses
Bleu Oleander: wow must have felt awful
Bruce Mowbray ponders the Christian notion of "Dark night of the soul."
Eden Haiku: yeah not caused by the practices itself mind you, just the pain body awakening through it, being allowed to emerge. A healing process.
Eliza Madrigal: mmm, nods
Zen Arado: allowing yourself to emerge
Eliza Madrigal: :)
FcSeeker Resident: <3
--BELL--
Eliza Madrigal pictures pain bodies running into needles' eyes
Eden Haiku: During both initiatic journeys in Egypt and in Tadoussac, the 'pain body' would take its chances to show up but the energies were so strong and the whales so caring, the pain always dissolved in a matter of minutes.
Eliza Madrigal: that's beautiful!
A poem
Eden Haiku: A poem emerged, in French, but I just translated it. A few lines.
Eden Haiku: May I share it with you.?
Eliza Madrigal would love that Eden
Eden Haiku: I will use both voice then text
Bleu Oleander: yes!
Eden Haiku:
My name is Rose
I come from another time
I am here
To reveal secrets
From the House of Dreams
I am a poet
I am Shekmet
Goddess from Egypt
With a lion head
I free from fear
Eden Haiku: (the end for now, it's a work in progress)
Eliza Madrigal: goddess from another time.... wonderful, Eden... a fierce muse emerges ...
Eden Haiku: A fierce muse, exactly ;-))
Bleu Oleander: nice Eden
Eden Haiku: Thanks ;-)
Shekmet solar goddess
Bleu Oleander: Shekmet solar goddess?
Zen Arado: nice poem Eden
FcSeeker Resident: <3<3<3
Bruce Mowbray can't hear voice, so appreciates the text. TY!
Bleu Oleander: I couldn't hear either
Eden Haiku: No, she's the goddess of war but also she delivers from darkness at another level
Eden Haiku: Oh sorry... I didn't have my headset on, I guess that's why...
Bleu Oleander: daughter of Ra
Eden Haiku: And the most precious essence of the poem was in the silence.. gosh...
Eliza Madrigal: I like this multi-dimensional aspect of mythology
Eliza Madrigal: I heard you well Eden
Eden Haiku: Is she Bleu? That would makes sense, she dispels darkness.
Eden Haiku: I met Shekmet on my first trip to Egypt and she unraveld much in my life.
Eden Haiku: And again, now, at another level...
Bleu Oleander: I would like to do her as an av
Eliza Madrigal: so the same that is a villain at one place is hero in another, like Elphaba, ie the wicked witch of the west :)
Eden Haiku: Oh that would be great Bleu!
Eliza Madrigal: wow look forward to seeing her
Eden Haiku: I had a dream about her in Tadoussac, that's why she came up in the poem...
Bleu Oleander:I built my house from images of the sun
Bleu Oleander: she would be perfect
Eliza Madrigal: that's a wonderful line Bleu...
Bleu Oleander: :)
Eden Haiku: I keep seeing her as a black granite woman with a stone lion head ;-)
Bleu Oleander: I see her as light
Bleu Oleander: strong with bright light
Eden Haiku: My relationship with her was with the granite statue in the Karnak temple.
Bleu Oleander: ah ok
Eden Haiku: The first time in Egypt, we got there at the exact moment when a ray of sun illuminates her granite head.
Bleu Oleander: nice
Eden Haiku: She seemed to come alive.
FcSeeker Resident: <3<3<3
Bleu Oleander: I may need a statue of her for my house :)
Eliza Madrigal: oooo
Eden Haiku: She delivers from curses and liberates from fears
FcSeeker Resident: the matter is the treasure of human world through which the spirit can reveal one's self
Eliza Madrigal: just got a timely note from a group "the presence of fear just means that fear is present, and no more"
Eden Haiku: Yes Seeker and the artist who sculpted Shekmet in Karnak was an artist of Light to make stone so vibrant for thousands of years...
FcSeeker Resident: yet the fears makes people to behave weird way
--BELL--
Bruce Mowbray: I need to be going... Chaores call in RL.
Bruce Mowbray: See you all later.
Bruce Mowbray: Have a safe and happy day.
Bleu Oleander: bye Bruce
Eden Haiku: waves to Bruce
Zen Arado: bye Bruce
Yakuzza Lethecus: bye bruce
FcSeeker Resident: have nice time Bruce
Eliza Madrigal: Bye Bruce :)
Zen Arado: I better go too have a visitor in RL
Bleu Oleander: bye Zen
Eliza Madrigal: cute how chores and chaos combined in Bruce's typo
Bleu Oleander: hehe
FcSeeker Resident: wishing nice to to you Zen also
Eliza Madrigal: Ah, okay Zen, good to see you
Eden Haiku: Bye Zen !
Yakuzza Lethecus: bye zen
Zen Arado: bye all
Eden Haiku: chores and chaos ;-)))
Eliza Madrigal thinking that Nisargadatta's no practice, seems like a practice of its own
Eden Haiku: hehe
Bleu Oleander: yes, was thinking the same
Eden Haiku: whatever makes us happy as someone said ;-)
Eliza Madrigal smiles
Eliza Madrigal: viva la diversity!
Bleu Oleander: yes!
Eden Haiku: yeah!!!
A show: "Light and Gravity"
Bleu Oleander: beautiful show "Light and Gravity"
Bleu Oleander: a number of sl artists
FcSeeker Resident: that is very true that it is not always so easy to 'just be'
Bleu Oleander: I have a LM if you want
Eden Haiku: sure Bleu, thanks!
Eliza Madrigal: I loved this line I came across in a zen text about bodhisattvas doing their work happily, because 'it is what they *like* to do' :))
Eliza Madrigal: Oh, definitely Bleu, thanks
Yakuzza Lethecus: thx bleu
Eliza Madrigal is still smiling from the weekend's exploration
Bleu Oleander: fabulous pieces there
FcSeeker Resident: thank you Bleu
Bleu Oleander: my favorite was by Merlino Mayo
Eden Haiku: Will go visit soon, thank you!
Bleu Oleander: and Maya Paris
Eliza Madrigal taking notes
Eden Haiku: What a beautiful name:"Maya Paris"!
Bleu Oleander: very interactive
Eden Haiku: Yes, me too.
Bleu Oleander: she's a wonderful artist
Eden Haiku: I always like recommendations...
Eliza Madrigal: lately I'm following up on them more
Eliza Madrigal: maybe it is the new summer schedule :)
A book: Anna, Grandmother of Jesus
Eden Haiku: Three different people in the journey told me about the same book: Anna, Grandmother of Jesus.
Eliza Madrigal: not so much driving... and also that I'll be taking a break from SL for a week or two
Bleu Oleander: many beautiful pieces based on theme of light and gravity
Eliza Madrigal: hmmm, takes note of that too Eden
Bleu Oleander: a break from sl?
Eden Haiku: Yes, I will try to find the book before moving to the country for the summer.
Eliza Madrigal: Yes, am not going to come in much during the Nova Scotia retreat and just after
Eden Haiku: You mean during the Nova-Scotia retreat Eliza I think?
Bleu Oleander: ah ok
Bleu Oleander: nice time for a break
Eliza Madrigal: it seems positive, from time to time, like a pallate cleanser to come in fresh
Eliza Madrigal: yes :)
Eliza Madrigal: immerse in forest
Eliza Madrigal: :)
Eliza Madrigal: a friend I havent seen in a while
Eliza Madrigal: and all the mosquitoes that may come with, hehe
Art of Being on July 31
Bleu Oleander: will you be here for Art of Being on July 31?
Eden Haiku: I have a technique with the mosquitoes Eliza: I ask them to stay away from my magnetic field and they do!
Eliza Madrigal: !
FcSeeker Resident: <3
Eliza Madrigal: :)
Bleu Oleander: have to try that one!!
Eden Haiku: I will still be connecting from my laptop Bleu but I'm not sure if I will have much time to participate. Unless I do this poem and you play Shekmet in the avatar you are going to make?
Bleu Oleander: ah yes
FcSeeker Resident: many spirits takes the first try to get to know at least something from the human world before enter to life which needs more strength to live
Bleu Oleander: I have a set built already
Eliza Madrigal: I won't be here July 31 so someone needs to get filming skills honed
Eliza Madrigal: hehe
Bleu Oleander: I could read your poem as Shekmet?
Eden Haiku: Oh, you do? What is it? Can you reveal a bit?
Bleu Oleander: not quite finished yet
Eliza Madrigal: Storm gave a wonderful workshop yesterday
Bleu Oleander: may need some changes once I hear your poem
Eliza Madrigal: so entertaining
Eden Haiku: Yes, you could if you would like. Or I could read it. As long as I don't have too much technical stuff to do.
Eden Haiku: It takes me hours for the smallest thing...
Bleu Oleander: if you are here that would be great
Eliza Madrigal knows that feeling
Eliza Madrigal: but once it opens its open :)
Eliza Madrigal: think I will go explore the exhibit...
Eden Haiku: Yes, we can stay in touch about that Bleu. I know I'm organizing a family party on August 2nd so that might be too close...
Bleu invites us to her sun house
Admiring Bleu's magnificent sun house
Bleu Oleander: come see my sun house
Eden Haiku: Wow, gorgeous dress Eliza ;-)
Eliza Madrigal: ty :)
Eden Haiku: yes, I would love to!
Eliza Madrigal: thank you so so much, fascinating session... yes that sounds fun Bleu thanks
--BELL--
Eden Haiku: Would Yaku and Seeker like to visit the sun house too maybe?
Yakuzza Lethecus: of course
FcSeeker Resident: I would like to ...in case the invitation meant for all of us
FcSeeker Resident: so I thought to wait for is she'll tp me also
Eden Haiku: I think so Seeker. Let me check if it's
FcSeeker Resident: thank you dear :)
FcSeeker Resident: thank you :)***
Eden Haiku: Here you are Seeker, please come !
And off we go, Eliza,Yakuzza, Seeker and I, teleporting ourselves from the pavilion to Bleu's magnificent sun house made out of pictures of the recent explosions of the sun!
Yaku, Eliza, Bleu, Eden and Seeker in Bleu's sun house
