Wol Euler was guardian for this session.

    eggsalad Ormstein: wos macht du?
    Wol Euler: good morning, egg
eggsalad Ormstein: good evening, wol :)
Wol Euler: nicht viel, habe tee gekocht aber noch nicht vor mir im Glas :)
    Wol Euler: nice outfit!
    eggsalad Ormstein: nice av!
    eggsalad Ormstein: and thank you
    Wol Euler smiles.
    Wol Euler: ty
eggsalad Ormstein: well, my Geman friend finally showed me his truck
eggsalad Ormstein: it was actually worse than he represented
Wol Euler: the one that is for sale too cheap?
    Wol Euler: ah
Wol Euler: so not too cheap?
eggsalad Ormstein: too expensive... by almost double
    Wol Euler: wow
    Wol Euler chuckles
eggsalad Ormstein: I hated to have to make him such a low offer, but it was all I could do
    Wol Euler nods.
eggsalad Ormstein: as of now, he is searching his files for some receipts of work he claims was done
Wol Euler: sounds a bit messy, friendship-wise
eggsalad Ormstein: more of a friendly co-worker, than an acutal friend. He's being in good spirits about it
    Wol Euler: good
eggsalad Ormstein: musicians, even German musicians, are a different breed
    Wol Euler: how so?
eggsalad Ormstein: they just don't take very much seriously, aside from music
    Wol Euler: ah :)
Wol Euler: hence the qualification "even German musicians" :)
eggsalad Ormstein: the problem with the truck is that it is solid mechanically, but looks like poop.
Wol Euler: damage? or just neglect?
eggsalad Ormstein: yes, because most other Germans of my acquaintance take *everything* too seriously
    Wol Euler: yep
    eggsalad Ormstein: both :(
    Wol Euler: hmmmm
Wol Euler: what will you do? go through wiht it at a much lower price?
Wol Euler: or is the condition so poor youdon't want it now?

    --BELL--

eggsalad Ormstein: if he can find the receipts, I will. I told him, I believe he had the work done, but I would need the receipts to prove it to a future buyer
    Wol Euler nods.
eggsalad Ormstein: I'm sorry. I'm suddenly very tired. I must go. Be well.
Wol Euler: goodnight, egg, sleep well
    Wol Euler: hello rhi
Rhiannon Dragoone: all by your lonesome, Wol?
    Wol Euler: yeah )
Rhiannon Dragoone: And oh, you're a cat? Want a scratch behind the ears?
Wol Euler: egg was here, but was suddenly overcome by tiredness and went off to bed
Wol Euler: cats always want earscritches :)
Rhiannon Dragoone reaches over and scratches Wol
Wol Euler closes her eyes, leans her head over and purrs
Rhiannon Dragoone: Oh, and you've taken your fur off. lol
    Wol Euler: :)
Wol Euler: furries can be nude too
Rhiannon Dragoone: brb My dog just threw up
    Wol Euler: eeeek

    --BELL--

    Rhiannon Dragoone: back
    Wol Euler: wb
Rhiannon Dragoone: Did I ever tell you the story how I got my dog?
    Wol Euler: not yet :)
Rhiannon Dragoone: Well, Rosalyn and I went to the pound to get a dog; she wanted one dog very badly and I wanted another; so we ended up getting both dogs. Only the one I got for me decided she wanted to be Rosalyn's dog, and the one Rosalyn wanted turned out to like me. So we ended up picking out the perfect dog--for the other person
    Wol Euler: heheheheh
    Wol Euler: sweet
Rhiannon Dragoone: Now that we all live together, it's like we're a perfectly functioning pack
    Wol Euler smiles
    Rhiannon Dragoone: All female lol
    Wol Euler: of course
Wol Euler: sorry, I'm a little distracted today
    Rhiannon Dragoone: oh, it's ok
Wol Euler: finding it hard to focus
Rhiannon Dragoone: I will probably be logging soon; i'm on holiday, but it's still alte for me
Wol Euler: ah, right, your summer holiday
Wol Euler: does it feel strange to have time to yourself?
Rhiannon Dragoone: Well, there's Rosalyn, who is very needy; my time to myself is very precious
    Wol Euler: of course, yes
Wol Euler: I phrased that badly, I meant the sense of not having regular fixed working obligations outside the house
Rhiannon Dragoone: oh, right; yeah, it's strange; first real vacation I've had in I don't know how long.
Wol Euler: yeah, you mentioned that. I thought it might be strange :)
Wol Euler: take it as a chance to practice wu wei :) inactive but not passive, awareness
Wol Euler: accept what the days bringh
    Rhiannon Dragoone: Good idea
Rhiannon Dragoone: I try to do that anyway
    Wol Euler nods.
Rhiannon Dragoone: Ever since being on the streets; you sort of focus on getting through the day; never mind tomorrow
    Wol Euler nods soberly
Rhiannon Dragoone: I'm a bit more long range focused now (lol) but I still try to maintain that 'one day at a time' attidue
    Rhiannon Dragoone: Staves off anxiety
    Wol Euler nods.

    Rhiannon Dragoone: Hi Valhala!
    Wol Euler: hello val
Wol Euler: have you been here before?
    Valhala Vollmar: Hey! Rhi
Rhiannon Dragoone: Wol, this is my new friend, Valhala
    Valhala Vollmar: Hey! Wol
Wol Euler: hi, pleased to meet you
    Valhala Vollmar: nope
Wol Euler: okay, I'll give you the 9 second introduction
    Valhala Vollmar: ok, thx
Wol Euler: this is a meeting of a meditation group called Play as Being, we gather here 4x daily to talk about meditation and life, and sometimes just to chat
Wol Euler: though the chat does tend to return to awareness and meditation and acceptance (non-judgement)
Wol Euler: as Rhi and I were just saying about letting holidays bring what they will
Wol Euler: we have a website, http://wiki.playasbeing.org/
Wol Euler: which has mountains of info about us and our practices
Wol Euler: we record and publish these sessions, so that absent members can read what was said.
Wol Euler: may we have your permission to include your SL name and your comments in the published log?
Valhala Vollmar: oh ... do i have to sign anything?
    Valhala Vollmar: o.O
Wol Euler: not literally, a yes or no would do :)
Valhala Vollmar: may i invite Hana to join us?
    Wol Euler: sure
Valhala Vollmar: yes, u may record me
    Rhiannon Dragoone: Hi Hana!
Valhala Vollmar: *:·.✶ Hello Darling! *:·.♥
    Haruka Flores: hello Rhiannon :)
    Wol Euler: hello hana, welcome
    Haruka Flores: hello Wol
Haruka Flores: Hey Val dear :)
Wol Euler: I'll give you the same short intro I just gave Val
Wol Euler: this is a meeting of a meditation group called Play as Being, we gather here 4x daily to talk about meditation and life, and sometimes just to chat
Valhala Vollmar: Wol is about 5 seconds into the 9 second tour
Wol Euler: though the chat does tend to return to awareness and meditation and acceptance (non-judgement)
Wol Euler: as Rhi and I were just saying about letting holidays bring what they will
Wol Euler: we have a website, http://wiki.playasbeing.org/
Wol Euler: which has mountains of info about us and our practices
Valhala Vollmar: letting holidays be what they will ....
Wol Euler: we record and publish these sessions, so that absent members can read what was said.
Valhala Vollmar: what is the next holiday coming up
Wol Euler: may we have your permission to include your SL name and your comments in the published log?
Valhala Vollmar: yes, u have my permission
    Wol Euler: ty
Valhala Vollmar: love ur avie, Wol
    Wol Euler smiles. Thank you
    Valhala Vollmar: spots thrill me!
    Wol Euler: :)
    Valhala Vollmar: and antlers!
    Valhala Vollmar: awesome!
    Wol Euler: I'm a catelope
    Valhala Vollmar: heehee
Wol Euler: and I need more tea. back in a sec
Haruka Flores: oh sorry, was reading the notecard. yes, you have my permission
Valhala Vollmar: as opposed to a CANTalope
    Valhala Vollmar: cute
Haruka Flores: now i want tea too
    Wol Euler: ty :)
Haruka Flores: (^ ^) maybe coffee doesn't suit the meditation mood
Rhiannon Dragoone: I like both--catalopes and cantalopes
    Wol Euler smiles.
Haruka Flores: brb, running downstairs and back
    Wol Euler: fun!
Wol Euler: I'm feeling too twitchy today for coffee
Rhiannon Dragoone: Well, i'd describe this as a contemplative place, not necessarily a meditative place
    Wol Euler: don't know why
    Rhiannon Dragoone: Full moon, maybe
Valhala Vollmar: i had coffee today before the test
Wol Euler: yeah, could be that; and the weather change, warming up after days of rain
Valhala Vollmar: ooh yeah, full moon
Rhiannon Dragoone: Blackenened had to ban three people today at Eternal Desires and Molly the Troll was in full blossom at Philosophy House
Valhala Vollmar: and a lunar eclipse too
Wol Euler: yeah! I missed that though, it was cloudy here that night
Valhala Vollmar: i'm in USA so we all missed it
    Wol Euler nods.
Valhala Vollmar: had to watch it online
    Valhala Vollmar: so ... holidays
Wol Euler: I have a cousin who's a nurse, works late shift in the ER. Her business doubles on full moon nights
Haruka Flores: back with tea :) *scrolls up to read what i missed*
    Wol Euler: wb
Valhala Vollmar: i guess the next holiday coming in this part of the world is father's day
Valhala Vollmar: ooh, what kinda of tea?
Wol Euler: mine is milky darjeeling, not too strong
Valhala Vollmar: i guess father's day will have no meaning
    Valhala Vollmar: i like darjeeling
Rhiannon Dragoone: yeah, the moon looked shiny and bright yesterday and today
    Haruka Flores: just milk tea
    Haruka Flores: :)
Valhala Vollmar: i should go out and look at it now
    Valhala Vollmar: it's 4am here
    Wol Euler: huh
Wol Euler: 11am for me, in Germany
Haruka Flores: i missed out on looking at the real moon :( i have to wait for tonight, and i hope it is still there and visible
Valhala Vollmar: im sure it will be almost full
Haruka Flores: it's 4.58pm friday in malaysia here
Valhala Vollmar: it was full at 3 something pm GMT today
Rhiannon Dragoone: Wow, so you know the future?
Wol Euler: heh, we cover half the world
    Valhala Vollmar: heehee
Valhala Vollmar: where r u Rhi
    Wol Euler chuckles.
    Haruka Flores: (^_^)
    Valhala Vollmar: i'm in texas

    --BELL--

Rhiannon Dragoone: I hear the stars at night are big and bright there, Val
Valhala Vollmar: out in the country, yes
Valhala Vollmar: i'm out about 15 miles from the city
Rhiannon Dragoone: Oh, right, where seldom is heard a discouraging word and the sky is not cloudy all day
Valhala Vollmar: still get some "glow"
    Valhala Vollmar: no, that's oklahoma
    Valhala Vollmar: teehee
Haruka Flores: wait, does this 90 seconds of silence mean i should not type for 90 seconds or just meaning not talking by voice? (^ ^) sorry, i'm new to this
    Wol Euler: no typing
    Valhala Vollmar: oopsie
    Valhala Vollmar: sorry
Rhiannon Dragoone: oh, that's where the wind comes whistling down the plains
Wol Euler: we use text chat here because of the recording
    Wol Euler: can't record/publish voice
Wol Euler: at least not without an unreasonable amount of effort
Valhala Vollmar: so a no typing "silence" every 15 minutes?
    Wol Euler: yep
    Valhala Vollmar: eep, sorry
Haruka Flores: i see (^ ^) no worries val, we're forgiving folks
Valhala Vollmar: i'm flapping my fingers
Wol Euler: a pause to relax the thoughts, drop what we think we are about, and feel what is happening around us
Haruka Flores: i wish we have this in Philosophy House, lol
    Wol Euler: no worries
Wol Euler: yeah, it is really useful to defuse tense conversations
Wol Euler: if people respect it
    Valhala Vollmar: aaaaah, yes...
Valhala Vollmar: it gets a bit harsh and cruel at HP it seems
    Wol Euler nods.
Valhala Vollmar: sorta stunned by the namecalling
Haruka Flores: yes, this place ooze calmness, that place *need* the 90 second break
Wol Euler: I find most "philosophical" discussion distressing these days
    Wol Euler: so cruel
Valhala Vollmar: i think plato would jsut get up and leave
Wol Euler: as though truth were nothing but a blunt weapon
Rhiannon Dragoone: Hanna, well, PH is an anarchy, so it wouldn't work
Haruka Flores: but i guess those people who are mean won't like it if it's implemented and troll elsewhere
Valhala Vollmar: what's so philosophical about calling someone an idiot?
    Wol Euler: exactly
Rhiannon Dragoone: Hana, they tried regulating PH, created Philosophy Island as a regulated version; the island got torn apart by bannings
Valhala Vollmar: but mebbe they are all the existencialists
    Valhala Vollmar: lol
    Valhala Vollmar: (sp)
Haruka Flores: you're right about that Rhiannon. as i said in PH, it reminds me of the people in the commune house i used to live in RL. lol Val
Haruka Flores: they won't like the 90 seconds break and would laugh at the very idea :P
Rhiannon Dragoone: Hana, yes, it reminds me of similr things
Rhiannon Dragoone: No, they 90 sec breaks would allow Molly and others to have tirades while everyone else were silent
Valhala Vollmar: sorry to be so random and digress, Wol
    Wol Euler: no worries
Haruka Flores takes deep breath. noticing lots of anger in me
    Wol Euler: mmhmm
Valhala Vollmar: i totally muted and even derendered her tonite
Wol Euler: it's good to note these things
Rhiannon Dragoone: There's of ten periods of silence actually there at PH, if you don't count the silloqueys; sometimes, one person will hold forth and everyone else will be silent. Does that count?
Wol Euler: to notice what is going on inside
    Rhiannon Dragoone: lol
Haruka Flores: lol Rhiannon, maybe that could count. i can imagine people feeling insecure about the silence too
Valhala Vollmar: if a philosopher talks in the forest ...
    Valhala Vollmar: teehee
Wol Euler: ... does anyone disagree?
    Rhiannon Dragoone giggles
    Wol Euler: probably yes
Wol Euler: without even hearing him/her
    Rhiannon Dragoone: Wol, oh, always
Rhiannon Dragoone: But this morning, actually, I had a conversation with a woman who actually wanted to come to an agreement
Wol Euler: "I disagree, what did you say?" is the motto
Rhiannon Dragoone: We dovetailed our positions; so it does happen
    Wol Euler: ah! nice
    Valhala Vollmar: sweet!
Haruka Flores: that is good (^_^)
Rhiannon Dragoone: Yeah, she's a noob, [redacted], who I suspect has had at least some graduate training in philosophy.
Valhala Vollmar: i would think that at least arriving at an understanding of what the other means would be the assumed goal
Wol Euler: yeah, you'd think so, eh?
Wol Euler: it seems to be the opposite though; to beat the other person down to accepting your viewpoint
Rhiannon Dragoone: The thing is, *everyone* goes to Ph; unlike the other places, which have regulars or keep some people out, and there is a community but it's like the wild west
Valhala Vollmar: i don't have to agree to understand
    Wol Euler: right
Wol Euler: and I can disagree without condemning
Valhala Vollmar: agree without being disagreeable
Rhiannon Dragoone: yeah, it's actually gotten better since I've been going to it. It used to be much worse
Valhala Vollmar: [redacted] was railing against someone when i arrived
    Rhiannon Dragoone: [redacted] would.
Wol Euler: which is the essence of how we try to conduct our meetings here. Respectful, listening; always considering the possibility that we might just perhaps maybe be a tiny bit wrong
Valhala Vollmar: but later she IM'd and sort of apologized
    Rhiannon Dragoone: lol
Haruka Flores: i find it hard to understand what other means through typing sometimes. and yes, people can disagree without condemning
    Wol Euler nods.
Valhala Vollmar: well, that's what questions r for, hana
Wol Euler: the answer there, hana, is to ask for clarification, not to jump to conclusions about what was meant
Wol Euler: certainly not to conclude that the other meant to insult us
Valhala Vollmar: and i'll ask a million
Rhiannon Dragoone: It depends on who's there; there are people from the Govenring Council who really believe in the palce, they try to have a calming influence
Rhiannon Dragoone: Without being authoritarian about it
Valhala Vollmar: i hope i had a calming influence
Rhiannon Dragoone: And when there is an outsider who comes in and threatens somebody, the whole group rallies
Haruka Flores: you so Val :)
Valhala Vollmar: well, total outsider here i guess
    Wol Euler smiles.
Rhiannon Dragoone: Val, you were one of the voices of calm and reason, and in that environment, everyone has to take responsibility to do that
Rhiannon Dragoone: Val, no, you fit right in
Valhala Vollmar: it's all so fresh in my mind being in the philosophy class at school right now and all
Rhiannon Dragoone: There was a Christian--may way or yougo to hell type--there a while ago, and everyone, including the resident, I'm a Christian and youwill go to hell type,' rallied against her. She tried to ge them to turn on me, and instead, they turned on her
Valhala Vollmar: it's amazing to actually talk about it outside of class
    Wol Euler nods.
    Valhala Vollmar: eep
Rhiannon Dragoone: Val, one of the reasons for Philosophy House
Wol Euler: people seem to go to philosophy places to expound, not to learn
Wol Euler: with some honourable exceptoins
Valhala Vollmar: well, i'm a christian but that means i need to be extra respectful
Rhiannon Dragoone: Wol, well,it depends on the person; a lot of egos involved
Valhala Vollmar: at least in my little mind
    Wol Euler: of course :)
Rhiannon Dragoone: Val,yes, ican see you rallaying like the Christian in the group that day.

    --BELL--

    Valhala Vollmar: sshhhh
    Wol Euler smiles.
    Valhala Vollmar: sorry
    Wol Euler: np
Valhala Vollmar: the teacher in me finds it too easy to shoosh ppl
    Valhala Vollmar: lol
    Wol Euler: :)
    Rhiannon Dragoone: lol
Haruka Flores: (^ ^) no worries. you're a good teacher
    Valhala Vollmar: thx, sweetie
    Valhala Vollmar: ^.^
Haruka Flores: the most i've got in my childhood would be the spanking already, hehe
Rhiannon Dragoone: Well, it's something youhave to do.
Valhala Vollmar: i do it in public all the time
Rhiannon Dragoone: Well, here in sl,you only spank people for fun
    Wol Euler: :)
Wol Euler: or for profit :-P
    Valhala Vollmar: not spanking
    Valhala Vollmar: shooshing
    Haruka Flores: profit XD
Valhala Vollmar: so .... holidays, huh?
Valhala Vollmar: what's the next holiday for y'all?
Wol Euler: we just had three long weekends, religious holidays; the next is late summer I believe
Rhiannon Dragoone: Well, I am taking a break during June and July before going back towork
Rhiannon Dragoone: The next holiday,Iguess, is the 4thof July
Valhala Vollmar: i have june and july off too
Valhala Vollmar: but doing some master's classes during all of june
Haruka Flores: i feel more relaxed on my workdays because i freelance at the moment and feel not so relaxed during weekend social outings, lol. but it means less money than when i work full time
Rhiannon Dragoone: Only a month for me.
Valhala Vollmar: yeah, hana, i can imagine
Rhiannon Dragoone: Yeah, don't remind me of the thight money, Hana. Whew!
Valhala Vollmar: what were the holidays that just past, Wol?
Haruka Flores: sorry to remind you of it, Rhiannon >.<
    Wol Euler: easter, pentecost, ascension
Valhala Vollmar: i'm glad they have us on a 12 month pay system at my school
Haruka Flores: the last 2 is something i never heard of, Wol
Haruka Flores: that is good Val :)
Valhala Vollmar: penticost is 50 days after easter
Wol Euler: pentecost is the 50th day after easter, ascension is Christ rising from the cross to Heaven
    Valhala Vollmar: right?
    Wol Euler: yep
Valhala Vollmar: and ascension day is the week before pentecost?
    Valhala Vollmar: is that right?
Valhala Vollmar: they are all catholic holidays, hana
Haruka Flores: then what day is it call when everyone have to eat pancakes for one day or some days? forgot what it was called
Wol Euler: it's in the Apostles, I think, there was a meeting of the faithful and suddenly all could understand each other, as though they had a common language
    Valhala Vollmar: mebbe lent
Wol Euler: shrove tuesday, in England
Haruka Flores: oh yeah, i made pancakes that day :D i was in england at that time
Wol Euler: I'm not particularly well infomred, I must admit
Valhala Vollmar: ooh yeah, i forgot about that one
Rhiannon Dragoone: Hana, I call that Sundays. lol
    Haruka Flores: lol Rhiannon
    Valhala Vollmar: do waffles count?
Wol Euler: I haven't made pancakes in ages ...
    Wol Euler smiles.
Valhala Vollmar: i had a toaster waffle for breakfast yesterday
Rhiannon Dragoone: Well, it's getting late for me; I am heading out.
    Valhala Vollmar: ok,
Wol Euler: goodnight rhi, sleep well
Valhala Vollmar: thx for the invite Rhi
Valhala Vollmar: have a wonderful night
Haruka Flores: have a good night Rhiannon
Wol Euler: actually I must go soon too, the working day is about to begin
Wol Euler: it was nice to meet you both
Valhala Vollmar: yes, wonderful day for u, Wol
Haruka Flores: thank you for the invite too, and see you soon :)
Valhala Vollmar: so nice to meet u!
    Rhiannon Dragoone: goodnight,Wol, ty
    Rhiannon Dragoone: ur welcome al
    Valhala Vollmar: SMOOCH!
Wol Euler: we gahter here 4x daily, 1am 7am 1pm 7pm SL time
Wol Euler: feel free to drop in
Rhiannon Dragoone: See you real soon, Hana, Val
    Valhala Vollmar: okies
Haruka Flores: see you soon Rhiannon. Nice to meet you too
Haruka Flores: it's nice making new friends here
    Wol Euler nods.
Wol Euler: that is what SL is about, to me: people
Haruka Flores: despite in the midst of the bad, hehe
    Valhala Vollmar: yes
Haruka Flores: i agree Wol :)
Wol Euler smiles and shrugs. There are bad people everywhere, just as there are good. It's your choice which you associate with
Wol Euler: whether you let your life be governed by the rude and angry, or let their words flow past you
Valhala Vollmar: wouldn't it be soo cool if u could mute in RL?
    Wol Euler: yeah :)))
    Valhala Vollmar: heehee
Haruka Flores: lol, that would be rad!
Wol Euler: and the inventory! I want a RL inventory
    Valhala Vollmar: and derender too!
Wol Euler: just push everything into it
Valhala Vollmar: i'd settle for a tail!
Haruka Flores: i would pick the muslim extremist sexist first!
Haruka Flores: the whole bunch of them, and probably report them, lol. but too bad they are the authority in my country, lol
Valhala Vollmar: this place .... such possibilities
    Valhala Vollmar: sorry, Hana
    Wol Euler: :)
Haruka Flores: no worries, i learn to take it with a pinch of salt these days
Valhala Vollmar: i suppose i'd just sorta hide away
Valhala Vollmar: either that or get burned at the stake in the town square for mouthing off to them
    Valhala Vollmar: teehee
    Wol Euler nods.
Haruka Flores: why do you think i'm in second life AND planning to migrate to england, lol
Wol Euler: my dears, I must go. Take care, enjoy the day; and perhaps see you again.
Haruka Flores: take care Wol. it's great meeting you too :)
