Pema Pera: what is your impression of Play as Being so far, if I may ask? I noticed that you have attended a few sessions recently

Pema Pera: I'm not sure what's what :-)
FcSeeker Resident: not easy to give the answer because I've got so different experiences
Pema Pera: but I guess eggsalad left
Pema Pera: oh yes, I can imagine!
FcSeeker Resident: she seeme to be gone to me too
Pema Pera: each session is different
Pema Pera: even though we've had several thousands sessions by now
FcSeeker Resident: and some people are very different on the other day
Pema Pera: yes :-)
FcSeeker Resident: it could be good to compare PaB to be just as the world is...human world I mean
Pema Pera: yes, the world here is virtual, but everybody's concerns are very real
FcSeeker Resident: like when one openes his/her door in RL going out with no special reason to see what the day brings

And here the title of the session was born:

FcSeeker Resident: it is much like that to attend PaB meeting
Pema Pera: and the adventure here may help realize more of an adventure side to RL as well
Pema Pera: aspects we tend to overlook
Pema Pera: and that can blossom here more easily
FcSeeker Resident: hmmm...
Pema Pera: I have learned here to listen more, before giving my own opinion, for example
FcSeeker Resident: I would prefere say that a bit different way because in RL you have true eyecontact to all
Pema Pera: yes, that is true
FcSeeker Resident: so problems to communicate are just different imho
Pema Pera: but at the same time, the lack thereof can make you focus more on what is said, rather than on how somebody looks or behaves
Pema Pera: pros and cons
FcSeeker Resident: ah...but in that I see no difference because I do not so much look the Avatars
FcSeeker Resident: and it is also that in RL people create much of their looks
Pema Pera: to some extent, yes
FcSeeker Resident: if you stair those you may not see so widely

Pema Pera: one clear advantage is that everyday you can meet people here from all over the world, without traveling
Pema Pera: so in a few months you can experience far more diversity in conversations than you can do in the same time in RL
FcSeeker Resident: that is the special treasure of SL

Pema Pera: do you have special topics that you like to discuss or explore?
FcSeeker Resident: I know about such people who's culture was that they couldn't understand people outside their own culture at all

Pema Pera: One thing I like is that when we come here regularly, we get to know each other quite well
Pema Pera: personalities and quirks
Pema Pera: like visiting a neighborhood cafe
FcSeeker Resident: thought a lot of those people that if they would nowadays be curious to learn to understand other people

Pema Pera: yes, the world would be a much better place . . .
FcSeeker Resident: there is an other sangha I attend much, but there is not so much discussions
FcSeeker Resident: ...I think you know what sangha means ...
Pema Pera: yes, a Buddhist group

FcSeeker Resident: I try to be more specific
FcSeeker Resident: that is Buddhist expression to meetings in which people wants to learn from each other...

Pema Pera: ah yes, he came regularly to our meetings here, the first year, three years ago
FcSeeker Resident: but I would've have interest to some other people's events also I've met here, but I yet have not been invited
FcSeeker Resident: but if I may say...as you told that you have learned here something, that is because you have learned
FcSeeker Resident: but sure learning here of cultures and other countries is much more possible than in neighborhood cafe
Pema Pera: you are always welcome to visit here, Fc, you don't need any invitation to join us
Pema Pera: yes, it is a global cafe :-)
FcSeeker Resident: I was guided here and told that this is open sangha
Pema Pera: it is not specifically Buddhist
Pema Pera: not even spiritual or following any tradition
Pema Pera: but quite a few people coming regularly have Buddhist interests
FcSeeker Resident: what more there's possible to learn here imo is that people are people all ower the world no matter of culture
Pema Pera: perhaps about half
Pema Pera: yes
FcSeeker Resident: Buddhism has spread much and I understand much why
FcSeeker Resident: but already I have learned that there is much such that is said to be Buddhist even same things are in other philosophy and cultures just as the same
Pema Pera: oh yes, there is a lot of overlap
FcSeeker Resident: as well there is much such in Buddhism that is used to bad like it is with all religion type things
FcSeeker Resident: and my heart has got a bit more heavy for all such things
Pema Pera: can you give an example?
FcSeeker Resident: there are so much such teachings that do not serve the base what Buddha wanted to teach
FcSeeker Resident: you know for example that Buddha asked people not to make statues of him ?
Pema Pera: is that so?
FcSeeker Resident: yes
FcSeeker Resident: equality is not such that somebody is made to be above others

FcSeeker Resident: also that is that there is always the truth of the moment and Buddha gave much advises to one person in certain moment, but those advises are made to be teachings to all
Pema Pera: yes, . . . the most direct teachings are by speaking one to one
FcSeeker Resident: do you know what Buddha himself learned in his incarnation which he came to learn ?
Pema Pera: well, I wouldn't know, since I'm not Buddha . . . .
Pema Pera: (by the way, I see that I have to leave now, sorry about that!)

I felt a bit bad to leave so suddenly, especially with the intriguing new twist that Fc provided, but I just realized that I had to leave, right after the first half hour; I had taken this slot because there was nobody else to be the guardian for this session, even though I had only half an hour to spare.
