    Eos Amaterasu: hmm....
Eos Amaterasu: a quality of embrace/embraced
Eos Amaterasu: would you like to pick one for the upcoming 90 seconds?
Lila Darkmatter: :) 28.Composing wild, undisciplined, pure, coming in from under, crazier the better

    --BELL--

Lila Darkmatter smiles, and be back in just a moment
Bertrum Resident: In praise of Character in the Bleak inhuman Loneliness...
    Eos Amaterasu raises a glass
    Bertrum Resident: Cheers!
    Eos Amaterasu: Hip hip hooray!
Eos Amaterasu: every moment falling down dying, toasting the moment rising
    Bertrum Resident: hi Steve
Eos Amaterasu: stevenaia's red is so confident, flashing trophies of war, and ribbons of euphoria
    Ewan Bonham: Hi Steve..
    Lila Darkmatter: Hello Stevenaia :)
stevenaia Michinaga: smiles, thanks Eos, I think
    Eos Amaterasu: (who knows?)
Bertrum Resident: the dead bell. the dead bell. someone's done for...
    Bertrum Resident: Plath.
    Lila Darkmatter: :)

Eos Amaterasu: Another suggestion for (framing the) upcoming 90 seconds of being?
    Bertrum Resident: Being There,
stevenaia Michinaga: the edges between awake and asleep :)
stevenaia Michinaga: or... Being There :)
    Lila Darkmatter: a nice embrace
Eos Amaterasu: the mouse in the teapot
    Bertrum Resident: Peter Sellers waving?

    --BELL--

Bertrum Resident: The Mouse That Roared.
Lila Darkmatter: out on the ledges, the edges, in the whistling fog... wandering away from and back into sleep...
stevenaia Michinaga: sometimes between awake and asleep, between RL and meditation there is a tug of war between stares of mind some times into a deeper state of perception, a nice dialogue to sense
Eos Amaterasu likes "stares of mind" :-)
Ewan Bonham: Yes...I enjoy those brief moments...
stevenaia Michinaga: it isn;t always one direction of "slipping from one place to another

Ewan Bonham: Rl call now unexpectedly...:)
    Lila Darkmatter: bye Ewan :)
    stevenaia Michinaga: bye Ewan
    Ewan Bonham: Thank you folks...:)
    Bertrum Resident: bye Ewan
    Eos Amaterasu: bye Ewan

Eos Amaterasu: can you say more about that deepers sense, that dialogue?
    stevenaia Michinaga: hi Roger
stevenaia Michinaga: sometime when breathing into meditation you feel the stepping of your mind sinking into another state, and when tired and nodding out, you slip into the sleep state and slip back as you wake yourself back up, if only for a moment, like being on the edge of a cup and loosing balanace... falling in
    stevenaia Michinaga: without feeling offbalance
    Lila Darkmatter: interesting
stevenaia Michinaga: like a gentle mud slide
    Bertrum Resident: the mind's gravity
stevenaia Michinaga: remembers a similar place at the end of the yoga classes I used to take when you rest... and sometime a bit too deeply
Eos Amaterasu: the deep beneath the water and the waves
    Eos Amaterasu: sharks being time
Lila Darkmatter: not off balance Stevenaia... so it is clear, though you slip?
stevenaia Michinaga: stevenaia Michinaga: like a gentle mud slide
stevenaia Michinaga: you can go wither way at a moment (and you do)
    stevenaia Michinaga: *either
stevenaia Michinaga: so you are at an in between place
    Eos Amaterasu: resting in motion?
stevenaia Michinaga: I think it is worthy of more experience,
    Lila Darkmatter: seems so
Lila Darkmatter: between but maybe not between anything?
stevenaia Michinaga: to see this between place as a connection between both places
Eos Amaterasu: in transitions between seeing this and seething that
stevenaia Michinaga: not awake, and not asleep, a place to linger

    --BELL--

Lila Darkmatter: during the bell considered the in between can seem a place of exchange
    stevenaia Michinaga: yes, at times
    Eos Amaterasu: with interest
stevenaia Michinaga: and When I meditate... standing and breathing, there is one breath that takes me smewhere other than where I was, parts drop away, clearity arises, things becomes more clear
    stevenaia Michinaga: more emptiness
    Lila Darkmatter: one breath?
stevenaia Michinaga: one different breath in a group of breathing

    Eos Amaterasu: Hi Paradise
    stevenaia Michinaga: Hi Paradise
    Lila Darkmatter: Hi Paradise :)
Paradise Tennant: smiles hiya eos lila stev .. bertrum :))

Eos Amaterasu: outbreath takes you out and drops you
    stevenaia Michinaga: nods
Eos Amaterasu: only noticing is left
    Bertrum Resident: hi Paradise
    Eos Amaterasu: noticer forgot
stevenaia Michinaga: having not meditated very long, and assuming others have, is this typical?
Lila Darkmatter: so many ways of meditation aren't there... does seem nice that you can linger there
Paradise Tennant: smiles like layers of breathing feeling .. seeing .. stillness
    Lila Darkmatter: :)
Eos Amaterasu: go with the outbreath and let go
Eos Amaterasu: "give up everything, that's the whole point"
Eos Amaterasu: the observer is last to go
    Eos Amaterasu: no color commentator
Eos Amaterasu: "No time for poetry but exactly what is"
    Lila Darkmatter: :)
    Eos Amaterasu: ( kerouac's 30 essentials )

    stevenaia Michinaga: hehe
    Paradise Tennant: smiles
Bertrum Resident: His body of work is powerful. I think it will stand the test of time
Paradise Tennant: often think of poetry as a thinner veil to what is real ... maybe like a bit of gauze
Paradise Tennant: maybe because it cuts out the unecessary :)
Bertrum Resident: I agree... ANd I think the same can be said that all art functions in that way.
Bertrum Resident: But poetry seems more concise...
stevenaia Michinaga: concise in what way, I view poetry as art and cloudlike use of words
Bertrum Resident: Can you expand a bit on cloudlike?
stevenaia Michinaga: but I am relatively knew to poetry in tems of appriciation
stevenaia Michinaga: words that evoke emotion and passion which are sometimes hard to define
Bertrum Resident: Ah, I see what you mean..
stevenaia Michinaga: the boundries of feelings are cloudlike

    --BELL--

Bertrum Resident: There are different forms of poetry. Some aim to distill experience and emotion. On the other hand, epic poems and some narrative poems are not as tight in that way..
    Paradise Tennant: http://gawow.com/roethke/poems/220.html
Paradise Tennant: his poems are wonderful
Paradise Tennant: they take you into his life .. so aptly

    --BELL--

Bertrum Resident: One of my most favorite American contemporary poets is Jane Hirshfield. She was featured in the PBS program on The Buddha with another wonderful poet W. S. Merwin.
    Paradise Tennant: hmmm
Bertrum Resident: Both are strongly influenced by Buddhism.
Paradise Tennant: smiles will read them .. they both look intriguing
    Paradise Tennant: http://www.theatlantic.com/past/docs/unbound/bookauth/jhirsh.htm
Bertrum Resident: For example, I love her poem The Stone of Heaven.
Bertrum Resident: The tanslations in Ink Dark moon from the ancient Japanese are also wonderful.
Paradise Tennant: This pine tree by the rock must have its memories too: after a thousand years, see how its branches lean towards the ground Izumi Shikibu
    Paradise Tennant: http://www.simplyhaiku.com/SHv4n4/reviews/Hirshfield.html
Paradise Tennant: good description of the sensitivity of her translations
    Bertrum Resident: Yes.

    --BELL--

Bertrum Resident: Have a good evening, Paradise.
Paradise Tennant: Kobayashi Issa is considered the last of the great masters of haiku and the many misfortunes he faced in life led him to be a strong believer in Buddhism. His work was tremendously influenced by his beliefs in Zen. The main idea in Zen-Buddhism is belief. A sign of blessing The snow on the quilt From the Pure Land
Paradise Tennant: smiles thank you Bertrum :) namaste my friend :)
