    Eos Amaterasu: Absence

    ...

    Eos Amaterasu: Hi Sheryl
    Sheryl Loxely: Hi!
    Sheryl Loxely: Strange place here
Eos Amaterasu: Welcome to Play as Being

    --BELL--

Sheryl Loxely: I have walked here some times, but never really talk with anyone
    Eos Amaterasu: Ah, okay
Eos Amaterasu: There are 4 sesssions per day held here, every 6 hours, 1am, 7am, etc
Eos Amaterasu: have been doing this for 4 years
    Sheryl Loxely: 365 x 4 x 4... many :-)
Eos Amaterasu: the sessions here are recorded, and the logs end up on our wiki, at http://wiki.playasbeing.org
Eos Amaterasu: we discuss how we know what we know, and try to have personal, first-person explorations
Eos Amaterasu: (not just theory, or at least not someone else's theory - your own theory based on your own observations is what makes a difference)
Eos Amaterasu: did you get the notecard?
Sheryl Loxely: I afraid I dint't... oh, now I do, sorry.
Eos Amaterasu: every 15 minutes during sessions here there's a 90 second gap
Sheryl Loxely: I've noted one; and even tried to comply :-)
Eos Amaterasu: idea is to pause, maybe with some sort of "framing", and experience first-hand an approach to whatever the topic of the session is
Eos Amaterasu: for example, "appreciate the sheer presence of appearance"
Eos Amaterasu: which really is appreciating how we experience appearance
Sheryl Loxely: I have read this idea of regular interrupts... on your website, or notecard, or elsewhere.
Eos Amaterasu: a way to stop the rush of thoughts, and experience what happens then
Eos Amaterasu: as opposed to immediately rushing on to something else

Sheryl Loxely: I think it may be good sometimes... but some other times, it just will ruin the "flow", isn't it?
Eos Amaterasu: that's a good question
Eos Amaterasu: maybe we could consider that in the next 90 second gap
Eos Amaterasu: ie, what happens to flow when you relax
    Eos Amaterasu: let it flow?
Eos Amaterasu: don't push the river?
Riddle Sideways: sorry to Be late
Sheryl Loxely: When I am it the flow, it's much safer to follow, then to try to hold a rock (not always, but usually)

    Riddle Sideways: Eos poofed
Riddle Sideways: Hi Sheryl, have we met before?
Sheryl Loxely: this happens here in SL
Sheryl Loxely: I believe we haven't; I do walk here sometimes, but never have had any real talk with anyone
Riddle Sideways: did Eos introduce to the group
Sheryl Loxely: this place seems lonely most of the times
Riddle Sideways: or explain that we record our chats for a wiki
    Sheryl Loxely: yes, he did
Riddle Sideways: we meet her 4 times dayly
Riddle Sideways: but it seems to be usually only be an hour
Riddle Sideways: bet Eos did not explains that correct speeling is optional
    Sheryl Loxely: ?

    --BELL--

Sheryl Loxely: definitely I do have spelling problems: English is not my native language
Riddle Sideways: spelling problems can come to English first language tooo
Riddle Sideways: if chat slows to a crawl we have a suggested topic-o-the-week
Sheryl Loxely: In fact SL is a very good for language learning; of course RL is even better, but not everyone can afford it :-)
Riddle Sideways: but, ummm don't know what Dark matter matters is about
Riddle Sideways: yes, travel is expensive
    Riddle Sideways: and time consuming
Riddle Sideways: what country are you from?
    Sheryl Loxely: Russia
Riddle Sideways: well, shall not be even trying to speak Russian
Sheryl Loxely: and I am here in large part to learn English (also some other languages)
Riddle Sideways: years ago, had contractors in Russia. They tried different words on me
Riddle Sideways: maybe I hurt myself
Riddle Sideways: This Play as Being group tries to discuss what-if things
Riddle Sideways: what-if we were Being
Riddle Sideways: What would it Be to Be Being
Sheryl Loxely: I am rather a book kind of learner, so I read English much better than talk... or talk much worse than read.
Sheryl Loxely: Being? From a capital letter?
Riddle Sideways: sort of religion neutral way to talking about the capital letter Being
    Riddle Sideways: brb
    Sheryl Loxely nods
    Riddle Sideways: back
Riddle Sideways: there that is a slightly better seat
Sheryl Loxely: being a Being? like Heinlein's "you are god"?
    Riddle Sideways: yep
Riddle Sideways: many ways of looking at it
Riddle Sideways: maybe relax the dogma and just play as if you are Being
Riddle Sideways: contain it, are it

    --BELL--

Riddle Sideways: what would you Be, see, feel, sence
Riddle Sideways: 90-sec seems like a long time doesn't it
Sheryl Loxely: I can imagine an enormous power, or, say, an enormous intellect...
Riddle Sideways: can you imagine you as part of that
Sheryl Loxely: But I cannot imagine an enormous attention! My imagination just doesn't work this way!
Riddle Sideways: now, that is tough
Sheryl Loxely: I can say words, but there is no picture behind them
Riddle Sideways: easy to imagine an all powerful, but having that amount of attention span
Riddle Sideways: because of language translation or the concept is too large
Sheryl Loxely: I can play as-if I have a lot of power on my fingertips... to hold a thousands of things...
Sheryl Loxely: But I can't play as-if I do care about all that things
Riddle Sideways: that is a very good start
Sheryl Loxely: I can play as-if I remember million facts about them, by heart - but not as-if all that facts are important to me
Riddle Sideways: many here have talked more about dropping away the things they hold to gain more freedom, lightness, wholeness
Riddle Sideways: indeed, all the facts are not that important.
Riddle Sideways: play as-if you know them all
Riddle Sideways: and some are not that important
Riddle Sideways: The really big hook here was when we were asked "Who are you"
Riddle Sideways: not 'what do you have'
Riddle Sideways: strip away all your possessions, degrees, families, etc. etc.
    Riddle Sideways: Who are YOU
Riddle Sideways: and please do not answer that within the next 10 minutes
Sheryl Loxely: I have been in such practice in RL once (only once, this is usually not my "thing")
    Riddle Sideways: take 10 years
Sheryl Loxely: and I've learned one important thing:
    Riddle Sideways: and that is?
Sheryl Loxely: "don't forget to say <<thank you="">> for an answer"
Riddle Sideways: ah yes, Thank You
Riddle Sideways: ummmm, do you ever say Thank you to yourself
Sheryl Loxely: if someone (even is "someone" = "yourself") gives you an answer to such a question, he deserves at least a "thank you"... even if "he" is ypiself
Riddle Sideways: we were saying the same thing
Sheryl Loxely: it was the lesson: you deserves a "thank you" from youself sometimes
Sheryl Loxely: at least for spending a time for answering such... silly? strange? hard? questions as "who are you?"
Riddle Sideways: meant to go to our Dream
Riddle Sideways: workshop here and say about that same thing
Riddle Sideways: got up this morning and said thank you to self

    --BELL--

Riddle Sideways: yes, try that a while... "Who are YOU"
Riddle Sideways: will be amazing the answer you'll go through
Riddle Sideways: good to write some of them down
Riddle Sideways: from the middle of a pile of paper scraps. here is a napkin piece that says "I am the center, off-center"
Riddle Sideways: wonder what was going through head on that one.
Sheryl Loxely: hm... ask the question several times, write down the answers on a cards, and... shuffle them?
    Riddle Sideways: :)
Riddle Sideways: there is a practice that is hard but fruitful here
Sheryl Loxely: oh... a phantom on mono-rail train :-)
Riddle Sideways: take just 9-seconds every 15 minutes during your life
    Riddle Sideways: and
Riddle Sideways: then write that down
Riddle Sideways: in 4+ years there is a mountain of single words or 5 sentence papers here
Sheryl Loxely: I've said this to Eos before you've came: sometimes it works, but sometimes it just ruins the "flow"
    Riddle Sideways: yep, understand
Riddle Sideways: sometimes it is that the 15 minute gong just reminded us to say thank you for the last flow
Sheryl Loxely: and sometimes it is "patient, wake up! it is the time for your sleeping pills!" Ж-)
Riddle Sideways: The builder of the mono-rail named it the NDR - Non Dualistic Railroad
    Sheryl Loxely: :-)
    Riddle Sideways: :)
Riddle Sideways: ha, was reminded of Miss Ratcheted today
Sheryl Loxely: No-one call the usual train "bi-rail"
Riddle Sideways: the nurse in "one flew over the coochoos next"
Riddle Sideways: time to wake up and ...
Sheryl Loxely: Thank you! I've just googled it (and yes, I haven't know before)
    Riddle Sideways: whatever

    --BELL--

Riddle Sideways: one of the few good American authors
Riddle Sideways: seems Russia has had a disproportionate number of great authors
Riddle Sideways: just a point of view
Sheryl Loxely: well, thank you, but it becomes late here; in fact it becomes *early* :-)
Sheryl Loxely: I hope I'll return at some 1PM event, at 7PM SLT I usually sleep (today is not usual)
Riddle Sideways: ok, and thank you
Riddle Sideways: Riddle does not make it to 7pm often
Riddle Sideways: but, Be seeing you
Sheryl Loxely: thank you again... this is an interesting place all around
    Sheryl Loxely: bye!
    Riddle Sideways: by</thank>
