stevenaia Michinaga: love the built-in spellcheck
Santoshima Resident: frank sit
Paradise Tennant: would make us pabloers :) or we could be pabling :))
Paradise Tennant: find it really awful on my blackberry because it forces corrections
stevenaia Michinaga: or.. set you comment on the Pable
Paradise Tennant: interesting that there is different experience when you can walk about and sit down
Paradise Tennant: think sl is really like a dream of sorts
Paradise Tennant: this morning I walked in the park with the dog and decided to pay attention to that 20 minutes as though I was in a lucid dream it was interesting
Paradise Tennant: walked by two men sitting on bench talking one said .. `everyone brings something to the table `
Santoshima Resident: so true
Santoshima Resident: frank speak
Santoshima Resident: frank philosophize
stevenaia Michinaga: smart dog
Paradise Tennant: then further down the path a young gal was shouting into her phone I guess to a friend who is an artist and trying to sell art . ` you just don`t believe enough to make it reality when you believe in your art it will sell she sounded so mad at the other person so frustrated
Paradise Tennant: lol
Paradise Tennant: frank .. smiles and nod at your mom wisely
Santoshima Resident: this is my 2nd only dog
Paradise Tennant: in sl or in sl and rl ?
Santoshima Resident: combo

Lucinda Lavender: by san:)
Lucinda Lavender: hello miss:)
missdigitaldiva Resident: Hello Lucinda and Para
Lucinda Lavender: how are you Miss?
Lucinda Lavender: This evening I have arrived late...just spending a few moments here
missdigitaldiva Resident: ok
missdigitaldiva Resident: Sorry, I missed the beginning too
Paradise Tennant: hiya miss nice to see you again :)
missdigitaldiva Resident: Thank you Para
--BELL--
Paradise Tennant: luci is interested in dreams and we were just talking about out of body dreams :)
missdigitaldiva Resident: Lucinda, I think this is the first time I'm meeting you... you may call me Arc
Lucinda Lavender: :)
Lucinda Lavender: Thanks Arc:)
missdigitaldiva Resident: nice to meet you by the way
missdigitaldiva Resident: Is there a topic tonight?
Lucinda Lavender: I am a little out of the topic loop
missdigitaldiva Resident: ok
Lucinda Lavender: I have a session tomorrow morning at 7 am...
Lucinda Lavender: as a guardian
Paradise Tennant: well deception is the week`s theme
Lucinda Lavender: deception...hmmm thanks para
missdigitaldiva Resident: Oh, so that applies to all meetings then?
Lucinda Lavender: I guess it does...
Lucinda Lavender: during the week
Paradise Tennant: well just a suggestion
Paradise Tennant: really good to go with the flow too
Lucinda Lavender: yet I go with the flow really
Lucinda Lavender: haha!
Lucinda Lavender: snap
Lucinda Lavender: we are the flowers
missdigitaldiva Resident: hee hee
Lucinda Lavender: flowing like the streams
Paradise Tennant: smiles
Paradise Tennant: it feels better to me
Lucinda Lavender: in out of the turns and hills and flat places
Paradise Tennant: sometimes people have specific things they want to discuss
Paradise Tennant: sometimes it is nice to just sit in silence
Lucinda Lavender: deception feels like a confusing thing to me
Lucinda Lavender: holding back I guess
missdigitaldiva Resident: yes, I am curious about a lot of things... but I don't want to comandier the conversation either
Paradise Tennant: this is a great group of listeners :)
Lucinda Lavender: if you have curiousity ...great to explore
Lucinda Lavender: and explorers
missdigitaldiva Resident: Yes, I am only one month old.... So, I have a lot to learn
Lucinda Lavender: did I read that you are an art therapist?
Lucinda Lavender: I think I was reading this evening that someone new to me is
missdigitaldiva Resident: Oh, I went to college for it....and I practiced for a year afterwards
Lucinda Lavender: ah
missdigitaldiva Resident: but I left that field to make more money and benefits....
Lucinda Lavender: ah
missdigitaldiva Resident: I should have double majored but I wasn't very business saavy at the time
Lucinda Lavender: always interested in what people find important in life
Lucinda Lavender: I love doing art with children in my job
Lucinda Lavender: and exploring there what the children are finding important
missdigitaldiva Resident: well, when you need to eat and put a roof over your head.... money is kind of important
Lucinda Lavender: yes
Lucinda Lavender: yes..
missdigitaldiva Resident: oh, yes that is important not to tell them what is important
missdigitaldiva Resident: but let them explore and determine that themselves
missdigitaldiva Resident: they'll all have different reasons... I'm sure
Lucinda Lavender: I am finding that using the ipad in the classroom is very inspiring
Lucinda Lavender: the drawing in particular
Paradise Tennant: sigh speaking about keeping a roof over my head .. I should say thank you and good nite . .it is 11.35 pm here and I have to be up a 6 am :)) and the dog still needs a stroll
Lucinda Lavender: sleep well paradise:)
missdigitaldiva Resident: Good Night Para
Lucinda Lavender: sweet dreams
missdigitaldiva Resident: bless you
Lucinda Lavender: :)
Paradise Tennant: nite nite Luci Arc :)) sweet dreams
Lucinda Lavender: I will have to go in a bit too but ...have a question...do you remember color in dreams alot?
Lucinda Lavender: rather vividly?
Lucinda Lavender: as an artist...it would seem possibly so...
missdigitaldiva Resident: it depends.... sometimes I dream in black and white.... sometimes in a dull color.... sometimes very bright colors
missdigitaldiva Resident: it ranges
Lucinda Lavender: ah
Lucinda Lavender: do you like to keep track of dreams?
Lucinda Lavender: I do
missdigitaldiva Resident: I used to for awhile
--BELL--
Lucinda Lavender: I guess we are learning and practising alot in dreams
missdigitaldiva Resident: but at present I do not use a dream diary
missdigitaldiva Resident: Yes, that's what I understand too
Lucinda Lavender: I have had a few that felt like I was in 2L
Lucinda Lavender: early on in my time here
missdigitaldiva Resident: in fact, are brain is actually busier when we are dreaming than when we are awake
Lucinda Lavender: isn't that interesting
Lucinda Lavender: it is to me
missdigitaldiva Resident: yes, do you live in the US Lucinda?
Lucinda Lavender: I used to remember more when I was younger
Lucinda Lavender: they are less accessible now
Lucinda Lavender: maybe a few a month
Lucinda Lavender: I write them down tho
Lucinda Lavender: yes
missdigitaldiva Resident: It depends on the amount of sleep that you get and what stage you are in when you wake up
Lucinda Lavender: west coast
Lucinda Lavender: and you?
missdigitaldiva Resident: ok, so have you heard of Charlie Rose at all?
Lucinda Lavender: yes but not much
Lucinda Lavender: why?
missdigitaldiva Resident: I live in Chicago but I am staying somewhere else right now
missdigitaldiva Resident: Charlie Rose has an amazing show on PBS that I love to watch
Lucinda Lavender: really?
Lucinda Lavender: tell me more
Lucinda Lavender: I bet he is on cable which I do not have...
missdigitaldiva Resident: He interviewed a number of experts on the topic of dreams and that is where I heard that our brains are busier at night, when we sleep, than when we are awake
missdigitaldiva Resident: PBS is a public channel.... should be free
Lucinda Lavender: I will look it up...and many of those pbs ones are able to be looked at on computer
Lucinda Lavender: I will do that
Lucinda Lavender: I have studied dreaming as a spritual practice for sometime
missdigitaldiva Resident: Yes, if you go to his website all his shows are available and you watch them at any time
Lucinda Lavender: great
missdigitaldiva Resident: that's interesting.... as a spiritual practice
missdigitaldiva Resident: what do you mean by that?
Lucinda Lavender: well lets see. dreaming for me was a big awakening to information being on beyond personal reality
Lucinda Lavender: and it seems like a place to place good intention into the dreamweave
Lucinda Lavender: as an observer...gathering
missdigitaldiva Resident: So, do you try to guide/control/manipulate your own dreams?
Lucinda Lavender: not really...just act as observer
missdigitaldiva Resident: Hmm... ok
Lucinda Lavender: wishing anything seen there the best outcome possible
Lucinda Lavender: I have had a lot of dreams that included death so that had an impact
Lucinda Lavender: not so much anymore tho
missdigitaldiva Resident: Actually, death does not represent death in dreams
Lucinda Lavender: but on 9/11 had one
Lucinda Lavender: a building melting down and people crushed inside
missdigitaldiva Resident: Death actually means the end of something and could potentially signal the beginning of a new spiritual beginning
Lucinda Lavender: or a new seeing yes
missdigitaldiva Resident: So, it doesn't necessarily reflect something bad as we might think of it during waking hours
Lucinda Lavender: yes...
Lucinda Lavender: I agree yet mind have sometimes coincided with what was about to happen
--BELL--
Lucinda Lavender: so it is nice to have support around that
Lucinda Lavender: and the bigger view as well as you said
missdigitaldiva Resident: I've had a number of preminitional dreams
missdigitaldiva Resident: many.... even confronted my Grandmother about her own death 6 months before she died
Lucinda Lavender: was she ill and you somehow saw that?
Lucinda Lavender: and dreamed of it?
missdigitaldiva Resident: she had cancer and the doctors thought they got it all.... she went on for a long time after that and was doing just fine
Lucinda Lavender: it seems like we see more that can pop up in the dream than we know in waking even
missdigitaldiva Resident: but after my dream.... I was scared of loosing her and so, I told her that I feared the dream might mean something
Lucinda Lavender: ah...so you could cherish her even more
missdigitaldiva Resident: She assured me she was fine
Lucinda Lavender: hold her in your heart perhaps
missdigitaldiva Resident: yes, I think that might have been the reason
missdigitaldiva Resident: yes, I had another dream of her the day she died..... at roughly the same time she died
missdigitaldiva Resident: She was looking beautiful, radiant and she wasn't in the hospital... didn't have any tubes connected to her
Lucinda Lavender: very dear when that happens
missdigitaldiva Resident: and I asked her why she was out of the hospital
missdigitaldiva Resident: and she just said that "They let you out to say good bye to your loved ones before they die."
Lucinda Lavender: wow...lovely
missdigitaldiva Resident: That was all.... I woke up shortly after that
Lucinda Lavender: thanks for sharing that
missdigitaldiva Resident: Yes, very lovely
missdigitaldiva Resident: I know others may not believe it.... but it happened to me
missdigitaldiva Resident: I even made a drawing of her and what she looked like in that dream
Lucinda Lavender: good to remember those kinds of special awarenesses
Lucinda Lavender: great!!!
Lucinda Lavender: the drawing...I have often thought about doing that
Lucinda Lavender: maybe with the ipad I could
missdigitaldiva Resident: yes, it's rare that my premonitions are ever so clear or direct, but they do happen from time to time
Lucinda Lavender: it has been a venue for me
Lucinda Lavender: for drawing and creating
Lucinda Lavender: deep connection of love
missdigitaldiva Resident: yes, that would be a good way of documenting your dreams.... it's so easy to forget things with every waking minute
missdigitaldiva Resident: There is a book I would recommend to you.... let me go get it from the other room
Lucinda Lavender: I was able to sing with a great conductor for years ...he died a few years ago suddenly in a car accident...no heads up for me but I had had many dreams about him and some of the images were interesting
Lucinda Lavender: I should draw the 9/11 dream
missdigitaldiva Resident: yes, those would both be good dreams to document
Lucinda Lavender: thanks for inspiring me about this
missdigitaldiva Resident: I don't have the book that I was looking for.... but I'm sure there will be another opportunity to tell you later
Lucinda Lavender: ok
Lucinda Lavender: it may pop up for you and you can tell me later:)
missdigitaldiva Resident: Yes, I think it is a great book for wellness and if you work with kids at all it may inspire you that much more
Lucinda Lavender: ah!
missdigitaldiva Resident: In what capacity do you work with kids?
Lucinda Lavender: montessori preschool...play based...3 and 4's and 4/5's
Lucinda Lavender: I work in 3 classrooms
missdigitaldiva Resident: ah, they must keep you busy.... they have a lot of energy at that age!
Lucinda Lavender: yes..
missdigitaldiva Resident: I think I would need a good nap after a days work
Lucinda Lavender: it is a great school and came just as I was getting tired of regular daycare
missdigitaldiva Resident: ah, yes that could easily burn you out
Lucinda Lavender: have done it since in my 20's and now am in later 50's
missdigitaldiva Resident: Do you have a teaching degree?
Lucinda Lavender: not per se
--BELL--
Lucinda Lavender: but I have a ba from The Evergreen State College which had a great learning model
Lucinda Lavender: and many years of training
missdigitaldiva Resident: oh, that's good.... and many years of experience too !
Lucinda Lavender: yes:)
missdigitaldiva Resident: I'm sorry.... that may have come out wrong
Lucinda Lavender: not strange to me:)
Lucinda Lavender: it is many years of exp
Lucinda Lavender: but I keep learning so much
missdigitaldiva Resident: I meant that in a very positive way.... that your years working with young children would easily benefit you in your new job
Lucinda Lavender: at this current school...
Lucinda Lavender: yes
Lucinda Lavender: today I got to learn about moustache bats
Lucinda Lavender: never knew about them...
missdigitaldiva Resident: I don't know about them either.... what are they?
Lucinda Lavender: I had the children drawing pumpkins on the ipad
Lucinda Lavender: taking turns
Lucinda Lavender: and tic tac toe
missdigitaldiva Resident: That's great!
Lucinda Lavender: yes!
Lucinda Lavender: last week it was spider webs
Lucinda Lavender: dot to dot...
missdigitaldiva Resident: They are little sponges aren't they?
Lucinda Lavender: creating the web I would create out of dots
Lucinda Lavender: yes
Lucinda Lavender: they have what montessori called the absorbent mind
Lucinda Lavender: yes and so when they show interest I am there to notice
missdigitaldiva Resident: Yes, Montessori is a much different approach isn't it?
Lucinda Lavender: yessort of yes
Lucinda Lavender: lots of ritual...a little quieter...hands on
Lucinda Lavender: simple
missdigitaldiva Resident: And correct me if I am wrong
Lucinda Lavender: we have an art speciast
Lucinda Lavender: and yoga teacher, and lego engineer
missdigitaldiva Resident: but I understand that they don't teach the child something until they are "ready" for it.... so that the children are all learning at different stages.
Lucinda Lavender: yes
Lucinda Lavender: I will demo certain things and if they take to then fine...
Lucinda Lavender: if not it is just a visit with the material
Lucinda Lavender: the lego teacher is a college student who like legs
Lucinda Lavender: legos:)))
Lucinda Lavender: not legs:)
missdigitaldiva Resident: haha
missdigitaldiva Resident: yeah, that might be bad for the classroom otherwise
missdigitaldiva Resident: ㋡
Lucinda Lavender: have you been to the art museum in Chicago?
missdigitaldiva Resident: yes
Lucinda Lavender: I never have but get the catalogue
missdigitaldiva Resident: There's also a museum of modern art there too
Lucinda Lavender: anything special for you there?
Lucinda Lavender: something you study sort of?
missdigitaldiva Resident: If I wanted to pursue art therapy I could certainly pick it up again.... and I may do that again someday.
Lucinda Lavender: some people I know go back again and again...to the museum
missdigitaldiva Resident: But at this point in my life, I am single and I must provide for myself.... it's hard to make a living wage with Art Therapy
Lucinda Lavender: yes
Lucinda Lavender: hard to make ends meet
missdigitaldiva Resident: Life is full of enough struggle.... I prefer to find other ways to support myself, so money is not another stress
Lucinda Lavender: yes...
missdigitaldiva Resident: It's a shame... but I also look at it from the perspective that I have a lot to offer and I can improve myself in many other ways
Lucinda Lavender: my boss always says..see it smell it taste it etc picture everything you are looking for or have as a gift
missdigitaldiva Resident: So, I have worked in many different careers.... and it keeps me on my toes.... keeps me excited about learning new things
--BELL--
Lucinda Lavender: great! I have enjoyed meeting. I should go for now...
Lucinda Lavender: or in a few minutes
missdigitaldiva Resident: Funny how those 90 seconds can sometimes feel like a really long time
Lucinda Lavender: yes
missdigitaldiva Resident: It's been really nice to get to know you a bit
Lucinda Lavender: I was not really thinking about them:)
missdigitaldiva Resident: I think if you have a lot of ppl in conversation, it might be more useful
missdigitaldiva Resident: but with just the two of us now.... it's kind of an annoyance :
Lucinda Lavender: I think I get energized in conversation and then have to take special care to quiet.
missdigitaldiva Resident: yes, that makes sense to me
Lucinda Lavender: yes when more are here I do not talk as much I suppose
Lucinda Lavender: tomorrow morning I will be here at 7 am tho
missdigitaldiva Resident: Well, I was rather quiet in my first meeting.... just trying to get a feel for what happens here
Lucinda Lavender: and I will see who comes. sometimes we do something called dream circle
Lucinda Lavender: where anyone who comes can share a dream or just an image
missdigitaldiva Resident: Yes, I am not usually online so early... but I will try to see if I can make it
Lucinda Lavender: and we go around the circ;le sharing them
Lucinda Lavender: without realy say what personal meaning is behind them.
Lucinda Lavender: more a wider view...and after each dream has one round we weave them together
missdigitaldiva Resident: That's interesting.... I bet that would be a fun one to attend
Lucinda Lavender: yes
Lucinda Lavender: seeing if there is an connection
missdigitaldiva Resident: wow
Lucinda Lavender: the pattern has been the last friday morning of each month at 7
missdigitaldiva Resident: you sound a bit more organized in your approach to this
Lucinda Lavender: I was trained in RL to do it
missdigitaldiva Resident: ah, that makes sense to me
Lucinda Lavender: you should check out the www.turtledreamers.com site
missdigitaldiva Resident: well, thank you for sharing your talents here with us!
Lucinda Lavender: the person there was my teacher for 10 years
Lucinda Lavender: and I did many classes with her. but here in PaB it is a bit looser
missdigitaldiva Resident: Yes, I would imagine so....
Lucinda Lavender: in RL it is like a ceremony
Lucinda Lavender: have been doing that since 2002
Lucinda Lavender: in RL
missdigitaldiva Resident: Yes, I can picture that
missdigitaldiva Resident: wow, sounds like a very unique experience
Lucinda Lavender: We may try one in November that is not being recorded
Lucinda Lavender: and then part of the wiki
Lucinda Lavender: i will tell you once it gets decided
Lucinda Lavender: later november
missdigitaldiva Resident: Oh? Do you think that the recording inhibits ppl from sharing?
Lucinda Lavender: I had thought we might try speaking the dream in voice...then responding in text
Lucinda Lavender: it may influence some
Lucinda Lavender: not sure
Lucinda Lavender: I do not find that a problem but some may
Lucinda Lavender: not sure
missdigitaldiva Resident: I don't use voice at all unfortunately
missdigitaldiva Resident: I am taking care of my elderly Mom full time right now....
Lucinda Lavender: we look for a more universal seeing of the dream...
Lucinda Lavender: wow...good for you!
missdigitaldiva Resident: Well, it is what needs to be done
Lucinda Lavender: I know it can be very hard
missdigitaldiva Resident: But I don't have much privacy, so I don't use voice or sound options
Lucinda Lavender: nodding
missdigitaldiva Resident: I should buy a pair of headphones tho
Lucinda Lavender: they can be pretty cheap I think
missdigitaldiva Resident: At the very least, it would be good to hear what others are saying
Lucinda Lavender: yes...some deep thinkers here
missdigitaldiva Resident: yeah, I'm sure if I look around I can get a good deal
missdigitaldiva Resident: Xs was the one who encouraged me to come here
missdigitaldiva Resident: I'm really glad she did
Lucinda Lavender: yes:0
Lucinda Lavender: :) I meant
missdigitaldiva Resident: haha
--BELL--
Lucinda Lavender: glad to meet you...I will go now...and keep you posted.
missdigitaldiva Resident: Thank you! Love your dress by the way.... very magical
missdigitaldiva Resident: Nice meeting you too!
Lucinda Lavender: hee hee..never wore a formal:)
missdigitaldiva Resident: Now's your chance!
Lucinda Lavender: sweet dreams to you...
Lucinda Lavender: yep!
missdigitaldiva Resident: Sweet Dreams
