missdigitaldiva Resident: I like the fact that SL is so international

missdigitaldiva Resident: I haven't used the google translator yet... but expect to do that as I have met a few that are not English speaking
stevenaia Michinaga: I sometimes attend the 1:00 am session when I wake up early (4:00 am to me)
missdigitaldiva Resident: yes, i thought it was very helpful to see the board and get a copy of the notecard

Xs Andree: I've been able to control mine mostly, some nights though it is just easy to stay up and i don't worry about it unless I'm dragging all the time

Xs Andree: some can be rather chaotic, others very serene.

stevenaia Michinaga: we try to be thematic during the week, but the best part is when conversations take off, they go in all directions
missdigitaldiva Resident: I look at this as a safe place to have discussions and talk openly

Xs Andree: About ten years ago I was working at a place in Arizona, and there was a navajo girl who always took her breaks with me, always found out when they were whenever she could.
Xs Andree: But then, she wouldn't say anything
Xs Andree: I was talking to my mom about her, who studied southwestern archaeology, and she said that Navajo are more than content to simply be in one anotherps presence, and didn't feel the need to fill the silence with each other.
missdigitaldiva Resident: Sometimes it's nice to just be.... know that you are accepted without saying anything
Xs Andree: and for the next few months, that is all we did.

Xs Andree: When I first came to SL, there was a club in the middle of this mall, DeathDealerZ mall, catering to goth stuff. A week here the owner made me the mall manager, which was basically help bring in traffic, clean up the place and keep track f the vendors.

Xs Andree: in a month many of the other crew there started saying that i was an alt of someone else, because I'd learned sl too fast to be truly new.

Xs Andree: i had the traffic numbers over twice what they were before and the owner had to rebuild to make room for the new vendors.
Xs Andree: It happens alot to me.
Eliza Madrigal nods... that's understandable... and I guess also on the others' part... perhaps a rare ability

Eliza Madrigal: have known a few people like that.. sometimes myself... that don't really feel existent until someone else sort of engages them... or hm... well those types get accused of chameleonism as if not a great thing
Xs Andree: And i know when I mistake others intentions, and suspect them of deception...it is usually something within me that causes it.
