    Bruce Mowbray: Good morning, Xir!
    Bruce Mowbray: Good day, Yaku!
Xirana Oximoxi: morning Eliza and Bruce:)
Eliza Madrigal: Hi Xirana :) Hi Yakuzza :) Hi Piet Pema :)
    Yakuzza Lethecus: hey everyone
    Bruce Mowbray: Good morning, Pema!
    Xirana Oximoxi: hi Yaku:)
    Xirana Oximoxi: hi Pema
Pema Pera: hi Xirana, Eliza, Bruce, Yakuzza!
Pema Pera: oh, thank you, Eliza!
    Eliza Madrigal: most welcome
    Bruce Mowbray: Hello, Riddle!
Pema Pera: nice to see seven reports that popped us as mushrooms overnight :-)
Pema Pera: hi Riddle! and Maxine!
Eliza Madrigal: Hi Riddle:), Hi Maxine :)

    Pema Pera: http://wiki.playasbeing.org/PaB_Books/Magic_of_Time/Time_Sessions/Weekly_Reports/2011%2f%2f05%2f%2f06%3a_Reports

Maxine Walden: hi, Pema and all
    Yakuzza Lethecus: hey riddle
    Yakuzza Lethecus: hello max
Eliza Madrigal thinks of the bright pink mushrooms in the Windhorse forest
    Pema Pera: :-)
Pema Pera: I loved reading Riddle's comment "Love that a Maxine can write this" (^_^)
    Xirana Oximoxi: hi all newcomers:)
    Eliza Madrigal: hahah, yes
    Riddle Sideways: good morning
Maxine Walden: hi, Yaku, Eliza, Riddle...
Riddle Sideways: well did awaken today
Pema Pera: ah yes, 6 am for you, right?
Maxine Walden: have not read the reports since late last night....maybe I will take a peak...
    Pema Pera: 10 pm for me . . .
Riddle Sideways: yes, 2 kitties thought we needed to be up
Pema Pera: go kitties go !
Riddle Sideways: am reading them now
    Riddle Sideways: too
    Pema Pera: hi Sun!
    Bruce Mowbray: Hello, Sun!
    Xirana Oximoxi: hi Sun!
Sunshine Vayandar: hi Bruce, Xiri, Liz ;)
    Eliza Madrigal: Hi Sun! :)
Sunshine Vayandar: and everyone that rezzes ;)
Sunshine Vayandar: hope you are all well ;)
    Bruce Mowbray: You too, Sun!
    Sunshine Vayandar: ;)
Eliza Madrigal: such wonderful reports... smiled and laughed so much reading them
    Pema Pera: YES!
Pema Pera: cutting the thread of time seems to liberate creativity
Sunshine Vayandar: Eliza can you post the link to the reports please
Pema Pera: (I think Maxine and Riddle, for whom it is 6 am) are still reading
Sunshine Vayandar: 5am wow very early
    Sunshine Vayandar: 6 I mean
    Sunshine Vayandar: ;)
    Eliza Madrigal: sure, Sun...

    Pema Pera: http://wiki.playasbeing.org/PaB_Books/Magic_of_Time/Time_Sessions/Weekly_Reports/2011%2f%2f05%2f%2f06%3a_Reports

    Sunshine Vayandar: ty ;)
Riddle Sideways: back, read to quickly
    Riddle Sideways: hi Sun
    Sunshine Vayandar: hi Riddle ;)
Bruce Mowbray: we speak of 'cutting the thread of time' and also of time zones, in the same sentence....(?)
Eliza Madrigal nods... could hear such liveliness in the writing... can one hear no effort? :)
Eliza Madrigal: Thanks Pema (for the link)
    Bruce Mowbray: Hey, Fef!
    Eliza Madrigal: Hi Fefonz :))
Bruce Mowbray: (Here's yet another time zone!)
    Fefonz Quan: hey timers :)
Maxine Walden: nice to see everyone
Pema Pera: I hope that Bruce will tell us the rest of the story, about the alligator in the bar
    Pema Pera: hi Fef!
Maxine Walden: :) yes, re alligator
Riddle Sideways: hi fef of another time thread
Pema Pera: A troubled alligator walks into his neighborhood pub, sits at the bar, and orders a beer. His barkeeper friend asks, "Why so long in the mouth today?"
    Pema Pera: and then?
Eliza Madrigal: I saw some of my inner alligators in Bruce's report...
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
    Sunshine Vayandar: hi Fef ;)
Maxine Walden: :)) agree, Eliza, me too
    Bruce Mowbray: ;-)
    Sunshine Vayandar: Liz ;))
Riddle Sideways: that was the whole story, wasn't it?
Fefonz Quan: (I dodn't get the joke, sorry)
Bruce Mowbray: Perhaps it was a long-in-the-mouth horse, not an alligator. . .
Bruce Mowbray: yep, that's the whole story -- unless you write your own endings.
Maxine Walden: :)) we look so deeply, await the next moment and do not get the joke!
    Pema Pera: :-)
    Eliza Madrigal: :))

    --BELL--

Curiously "idioma" actually means "language" ...

Maxine Walden: that is, miss the moment
Fefonz Quan: guesss it;s a langauage issue
    Bruce Mowbray: "Long-in-the-mouth" is an idiom for being sad/depressed (but, if taken literally, it might refer to the length of the alligator's mouth) . . {Does that help?}
    Bruce Mowbray: ;-)
Pema Pera: ah, I didn't know that idiom either :-)
Maxine Walden: we seem pretty thick-headed right now, Bruce!
Fefonz Quan: yes, idioms are the greatest obstacle in foreign languages I found
    Sunshine Vayandar: ;))
Sunshine Vayandar: being a hungarian zulu I can relate to that ;)
    Pema Pera: hahaha
    Sunshine Vayandar: ;p
    Eliza Madrigal: :))
Riddle Sideways: hmmmm, need an idiom's guide to PaB
Maxine Walden: our many descriptions (languages) of our various realities
Pema Pera picturing a square dance of hungarian zulus
Sunshine Vayandar pictures it too ;)
Maxine Walden: hahaha, Pema, great image
Pema Pera: I enjoyed Eos' "This is nowhere near as serious as it sounds in words :-)"
    Maxine Walden: yes!
Eliza Madrigal: Riddle! giggles.... so much laughter today
    Pema Pera: an alligator antidote
    Riddle Sideways: L))
    Sunshine Vayandar: ;)
    Riddle Sideways: :)
Pema Pera: perhaps sadness needs a past?
Pema Pera: in the moment it might be hard to be sad
Maxine Walden: maybe right now we are also coming together after a couple of week's break...needing to share and just amble about with each other
    Eliza Madrigal: ambling and gamboling
    Sunshine Vayandar googles
Maxine Walden: :) ambling, but not gambling
    Maxine Walden: or maybe so...
Riddle Sideways: am still back thinking how easy/hard we all have cut the time ZONE stringsy
Fefonz Quan: we could be rambling too
    Maxine Walden: right, fef
Pema Pera: I guess we have 7 time zones among the 9 of us . . .
Riddle Sideways: so some times that matters and then it doesn't
Sunshine Vayandar: so its 6am for Maxine?
    Maxine Walden: yep
    Sunshine Vayandar: not sleepy?
Maxine Walden: always a bit sleepy :) but not too bad
Sunshine Vayandar: (_)> here is something refreshing ;)
    Sunshine Vayandar: ;)
Eliza Madrigal: Maxine is the earliest bird I know :) , ah, and now I remember the two tiny woodpeckers I saw this morning playing on a fence
    Riddle Sideways: ah (_)>
Sunshine Vayandar: Riddle - one can also say : (_)?
Maxine Walden: :)). eliza tell us about the woodpeckers...
Eliza Madrigal: Hm, not sure what the word is for woodpecker play....
    Pema Pera: peckering?
Eliza Madrigal: but they have a way of winding up a tree so fast
    Sunshine Vayandar: ;)) Liz
Eliza Madrigal: hah, don't think so Pema...
Eliza Madrigal: but they have a different way than other birds because they hold on upright
Eliza Madrigal: I said we should walk slowly, but my son said that would tip them off "act naturally" ;-)
Riddle Sideways: those little anti-gravity shoes
Eliza Madrigal: think that's it, Riddle :)
Riddle Sideways: you tell the story so well, can almost hear the woodpeckers
Eliza Madrigal: :)) amazing what is all around us
    Maxine Walden: thanks Sun!
Riddle Sideways: some inventories over floweth :)
    Eliza Madrigal: :) Sun
    Sunshine Vayandar: ;)

    --BELL--

Bruce Mowbray: Some close-up photos I took of a woodpecker- a couple of weeks ago at my living room window.
    Bruce Mowbray: http://hermitdog.com/woodpecker.htm
Maxine Walden: alligators...woodpeckers...what's next? Ah, thanks, Bruce
    Sunshine Vayandar: TY Bruce ;))
    Eliza Madrigal: wow Bruce, sweet
    Pema Pera: hahaha
    Xirana Oximoxi: VERY NICE bRUCE:)
Bruce Mowbray: So -- woodpeckers and alligators can also be "pearls" yes?
Eliza Madrigal: quite different from the sort of thin ones we have here, also...
    Riddle Sideways: yes
Pema Pera: (how many people have their sound on?)
Maxine Walden: I can see it in the woodpecker's eyes: 'gotta do it, just gotta peck at that wood, can't help it....'
    Riddle Sideways: yes, hear them
Sunshine Vayandar: I love your report Eliza ;)
Bruce Mowbray: I have sounds on - and hear the woodpeckers clearly, (thanks to Sun!)
    Eliza Madrigal: :) ty Sun
    Sunshine Vayandar: I can hear
Pema Pera: I guess the connecting element between alligators and woodpeckers is the strength of their jaws . . . . .
    Pema Pera: or nearby muscles
Bruce Mowbray: (both are long in the mouth, too!)
Sunshine Vayandar: I have a friend that also talk in "pearls" when it comes to being aware of beauty around us ...
    Maxine Walden: yes!
Eliza Madrigal: yes it would be frightening to see an alligator holding on to the side of a tree, but then hm, lots of huge lizards here too...
    Pema Pera: nice, Sun!
Eliza Madrigal: :) Sun... like dewdrops , mm
Sunshine Vayandar: "yet also a vivid appreciation and noticing of pearls showing up in unlikely places I couldn't have planned. "
    Sunshine Vayandar: ;)
Sunshine Vayandar: yes Liz like dewdrops
    Maxine Walden: lovely images...dewdrops, pearls
Eliza Madrigal: one thinks of walking on the beach again perhaps.... how one might miss the pearls blending with sand....
Riddle Sideways: when the string of pearls, that was so tightly strung is cut the pearls can be loosed and found in the most unlikely places
Eliza Madrigal: I have to leave early today, but thanks everyone for your company and such a lovely playful session
    Pema Pera: :-)
    Maxine Walden: thanks Eliza
    Bruce Mowbray: Bye, Eliza!
Riddle Sideways: ok, go have fun Eliza
    Xirana Oximoxi: bye Eliza:)
    Pema Pera: bye Eliza!
    Eliza Madrigal: :)) Waves warmly
Pema Pera: I enjoyed reading Eos's email about: Do not search for the truth, only cease to cherish opinions.
    Sunshine Vayandar: byebyee Eliza
Pema Pera: not searching is related to staying in the moment
Bruce Mowbray: yes, I found a quote for Gaya's Ways of Knowing group - just this morning - that talked about not searching for Truth, but letting Truth find you.
Yakuzza Lethecus: If you meet the buddha on the road, kill him ?

Bruce Mowbray: Discard every self-seeking motive as soon as it is seen and you need not look for truth; truth will find you. Sri Nisargadatta Maharaj

    Bruce Mowbray: There it is.
Pema Pera: yes, dropping opinions and motives . . .
Bruce Mowbray: Methinks that cutting the necklace thread is a way of letting "truth" find us --
Bruce Mowbray: yes, dropping the insistance upon opinion
    Bruce Mowbray: not cherishing self-interest

Pema Pera: Here are the first six lines of the song from which Eos quoted: The Great Way is not difficult for those who do not pick and choose. When pref'rences are cast aside the Way stands clear and undisguised. But even slight distinctions made set earth and heaven far apart.
Bruce Mowbray: not getting "locked" in the threads of form, schedule, tradition, opinion. . .

    Riddle Sideways: "this magic moment"
Bruce Mowbray: That's the 3rd Patriarch of Zen.
Riddle Sideways wishes could write as short and distinct as Adams
    Pema Pera: :-)
Pema Pera: your first page was shorter, Riddle !
Maxine Walden: Afraid I have to leave early as well. Very nice to be back together...see you all soon
    Maxine Walden: bye for now.
    Xirana Oximoxi: bye Maxine:)
Sunshine Vayandar: take care Maxine - have a great day
Riddle Sideways: see you soon, Maxine
    Pema Pera: bye Maxine!
    Bruce Mowbray: Bye, Maxine.
    Fefonz Quan: bye maxine

    --BELL--

Bruce Mowbray: Hey, Pema -- Do you think folks are grokking Chapter 12 better now -- I mean, understanding the chapter - - as you understood its themes when writing it?
Pema Pera: I certainly enjoy the outpouring of fun and creativity
    Bruce Mowbray: ;-)
    Sunshine Vayandar: ;)
Pema Pera: as for understanding . . . I feel I'm only beginning to get my own toes into the water
Riddle Sideways: probably helped a lot that you wrote it all down
Bruce Mowbray ponders writing as a vehicle to understand better.
    Riddle Sideways: and shared it
Pema Pera: what I really would like to write about is "looking time straight into the face"
Pema Pera: oh, yes, writing helps
Pema Pera: but not yet sure how to write about "facing up to Time"
    Pema Pera: perhaps this weekend?
Pema Pera: for next week's reports
Pema Pera: maybe I'll finallly face up to facing up to Time now . . . .
Riddle Sideways: put it on the todo list?
    Bruce Mowbray: :)
Riddle Sideways: when you get time... look at time
Sunshine Vayandar: ;)) "hey Time - how are you "
    Pema Pera: hahaha
Pema Pera: letting Time look at you . . .
Sunshine Vayandar imagines Pema sitting down with Time for a coffee
Bruce Mowbray: If Time "gives" us apperances, is it a good idea to look the gift-horse in the mouth?
Pema Pera: the alligator you mean?
Bruce Mowbray: (sorry for these continuing obtuse idioms).
    Sunshine Vayandar: ;)
Pema Pera: we haven't talked about a cuckoo yet
Xirana Oximoxi: NP bRUCE, THAT WAY WE LEARN THEM:)
    Xirana Oximoxi: sorry
Sunshine Vayandar: yes I usually understand everything literally ... lol - it gets very funny
    Pema Pera: hi Lucinda!
Sunshine Vayandar: "don't beat around the bush" for example
    Bruce Mowbray: Good morning, Luci!
    Sunshine Vayandar: hi Luci ;)
Pema Pera: we always look at what happens in time -- we rarely look at time . . . .
    Riddle Sideways: hi luci
    Xirana Oximoxi: hello Luci:)
Bruce Mowbray: A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush.
    Xirana Oximoxi: :)
Sunshine Vayandar: Bruce can't stop ;)
Riddle Sideways: yes, the African bush is not to be beat around in
    Lucinda Lavender: Hi Pema:)
    Lucinda Lavender: HI Everyone:)
Sunshine Vayandar: yes Riddle - you might get some suprises in the African bush while beating around ...
Bruce Mowbray: Ahhhh! Can't beat the Afircan bushes!
    Sunshine Vayandar: hehehe
    Yakuzza Lethecus: hi luci
Bruce Mowbray: They have such great bushes in Africa!
    Pema Pera: :-)
Pema Pera: that sounded very realistic
    Xirana Oximoxi: ahhh :)
Pema Pera: a very short beating around the bush
Riddle Sideways: oh dear, looking at TIME now has Pink Floyd soundtrack
    Bruce Mowbray: ;-)
Bruce Mowbray: Is there anybody OUT there?
    Sunshine Vayandar: ;)
Riddle Sideways: time is time is time is ...
Bruce Mowbray wants not to be "comfortably numb" with the necklace threads.
Sunshine Vayandar: The Wall used to play on SL
Bruce Mowbray: I've agreed to lead the Soul's Journey meditation this morning - so much be off now.
    Bruce Mowbray: Thanks everyone!
    Pema Pera: bye Bruce!
Sunshine Vayandar: nice to see you Bruce ;)
    Xirana Oximoxi: bye Bruce:)
    Riddle Sideways: buy bruce
    Yakuzza Lethecus: bye bruce
    Fefonz Quan: bye Bruce
    Lucinda Lavender: bye Bruce!
Riddle Sideways: the time zones are slipping away
Pema Pera: I'll let myself slip away too, time to get some sleep :-)
Pema Pera: nice to see you all here!
Sunshine Vayandar: sleep well Pema ;)
    Riddle Sideways: niters
Yakuzza Lethecus: good night pema, do you dream lucid ?
    Xirana Oximoxi: bye Pema:)
    Sunshine Vayandar: nitenite ;)
    Fefonz Quan: night Pema!
    Pema Pera: sometimes, Yaku
    Xirana Oximoxi: sweet dreams:)
Pema Pera: easier to day dream lucidly though
    Pema Pera: bfn
