Paradise Tennant: excerpts from their novels
SophiaSharon Larnia: wow I just goggled that and got: http://www.omdc.on.ca/Page3217.aspx

    --BELL--
SophiaSharon Larnia: how great that you could go
Paradise Tennant: some 3o authors giving readings was a long night :)
Paradise Tennant: yes felt lucky to be there :)
SophiaSharon Larnia: quite a lot of a good thing
Paradise Tennant: smiles quite a bit of it was in French and my comprehension is not as strong as it use to be I use it so seldom ..
    SophiaSharon Larnia: ooh
SophiaSharon Larnia: I think of Eden reading poetry while Zen plays the didgeridoo, when you mention that :))
Paradise Tennant: smiles and they had trifle :) have not had trifle in such a long time my nana use to make it .. brought back a host of memories :)
    SophiaSharon Larnia: :D
Paradise Tennant: smiles Eden’s poetry is wonderful I have never heard Zen play the didgeridoo :)
SophiaSharon Larnia: I forgot you hadn’t been there that day, I think it was during a music session, I forget
Paradise Tennant: smiles at all the things I miss.  I would have liked to have listened to him play
Paradise Tennant: there was an event on June 12th which I missed that too what was it about ?
SophiaSharon Larnia: well, it sounds like a lovely time Paradise, with that many authors around
Paradise Tennant: interesting :) evening :) but happy to be home and here with the dog snoozing at my feet.  .. Very fond of short duration events and then coming home .. again :)
SophiaSharon Larnia: the event was to open the new molecular theater, which is located inside one of the molecule balls in the sky
SophiaSharon Larnia: yes :)) sounds perfect
Paradise Tennant: did not know we had molecule balls in the sky
    SophiaSharon Larnia: the molecular structure?
    Paradise Tennant: ?
Paradise Tennant: smiles going to have to do some exploring :)
SophiaSharon Larnia: I don’t have a landmark to the theater there, but the molecular structure in easily visible in the sky if you fly there
Paradise Tennant: okies I will check it out :)
Paradise Tennant: are you still building :)
SophiaSharon Larnia: yes you must :D There is a self guided turn of the theater there too
SophiaSharon Larnia: Some guardians put on several performances
SophiaSharon Larnia: storm flew us to the new theater in a huge spaceship like carpet
Paradise Tennant: sigh so sorry I missed that :)
SophiaSharon Larnia: no I’m not, I really not in SL much, except for pab sessions
SophiaSharon Larnia: and the odd thing here and there
Paradise Tennant: yes same here . hard to find time to do all you want to do
Paradise Tennant: smiles did you have topic you wanted to explore ? Shall we dig around for one :)
SophiaSharon Larnia: I could never build in SL, the field I walked through today during a walk :)
    Paradise Tennant: yes !
Paradise Tennant: rl is infinitely more rich in data :)
    SophiaSharon Larnia: smiles
SophiaSharon Larnia: I actually got a little lost haha
Paradise Tennant: sometimes like the feeling of not actually knowing where I am
SophiaSharon Larnia: me too, the dirt trail went on and on
Paradise Tennant: maybe just a bit lost :)
Paradise Tennant: hmmm sounds so nice love hiking ..
Paradise Tennant: being with trees .. and under a big wide sky
    SophiaSharon Larnia: yes
SophiaSharon Larnia: i took pictures of everything
    SophiaSharon Larnia: and sound recordings
SophiaSharon Larnia: with some idea that I’d use them in sl
SophiaSharon Larnia: but truthfully, I could never make that field
    --BELL--
Paradise Tennant: smiles .. would you want to ?
    SophiaSharon Larnia: maybe i would
    Paradise Tennant: smiles
Paradise Tennant: there are some pretty amazing creations in sl have you been here before ?
    SophiaSharon Larnia: eh?
Paradise Tennant: trying to paste the landmark one sec
SophiaSharon Larnia: I explore a lot, on one hand it makes what I make seem like crap, but then I go look at many others,
    SophiaSharon Larnia: thanks!
SophiaSharon Larnia: I data mine peoples profiles sometimes
SophiaSharon Larnia: if search isn’t helping that day
Paradise Tennant: empyreal dreams Cal mentioned this one at session some time ago.  I love it .. it is the enactment of 3 or 4 works of literature
    SophiaSharon Larnia: oh neat
Paradise Tennant: one of them allows you to walk a windy path to the sky really quite brilliant – the planets move through you J
Paradise Tennant: yes I do too the same thing will jot down names for later when I have time to flit about
SophiaSharon Larnia: I'll have to check that one out too
Paradise Tennant: like the bluebell one too :) sitting in a tree surrounded by the most brilliant blues
    SophiaSharon Larnia: where is that?
Paradise Tennant: that is at the same place there is a hud .. where you can step into .. maybe 4 different enactments
SophiaSharon Larnia: ooh I see now
    SophiaSharon Larnia: ill go soon
Paradise Tennant: yes one of my favorite spots so far in sl
    SophiaSharon Larnia: hi Roger
    SophiaSharon Larnia: wow
Paradise Tennant: There are many that  I really liked which have disappeared
Paradise Tennant: sad to see them go .. when so much work went into them
SophiaSharon Larnia: yes, its really strange to think of that in a way
SophiaSharon Larnia: ephemeral like that :)
Paradise Tennant: smiles and nods precisely .. impermanence :)
    SophiaSharon Larnia: hi Luci :)
Lucinda Lavender: HI SSL and Paradise:)
Paradise Tennant: hiya luci gtsy :)
    Lucinda Lavender: and Roger
Lucinda Lavender: yes good to see you too
Lucinda Lavender: things seem quiet here...
Paradise Tennant: we are talking of many things really .. some little some big :) :)
    --BELL--
    Paradise Tennant: smiles
    SophiaSharon Larnia: smiles back
Paradise Tennant: I have been dreaming lately luci :)
Paradise Tennant: jumbled busy kind of hectic dreams :)
Lucinda Lavender: curious to hear...more I mean...
SophiaSharon Larnia: good night, thanks for the chat, I have to get up early :))
    SophiaSharon Larnia: bye for now
Paradise Tennant: smiles nite nite sophia thank you :)
    Lucinda Lavender: rest well:)
    SophiaSharon Larnia: thanks
    Lucinda Lavender: busy and hectic...
Paradise Tennant: I was sitting at a pab retreat
Paradise Tennant: at a table .. and people kept coming and going :) and I just enjoyed the watching the traffic :) sat there and smiled
Lucinda Lavender: sometimes that how dreaming seems...slower than the flow around us in the dream
    Paradise Tennant: yes
Paradise Tennant: time is so fluid when you are dreaming
    Lucinda Lavender: any other images?
Lucinda Lavender: I had a dream that mentioned a retreat while in NYC...
Paradise Tennant: hmm looked like we were in a school library
Paradise Tennant: ooo can you say more ...
    Lucinda Lavender: well...
Lucinda Lavender: in a house with others the same age...
Lucinda Lavender: I realize that we are congregating to attend a workshop with Deepak Chopra. I express that this will be a perfect workshop. Sitting at a table I see other women approaching that seem to be attending. They seem to have had their eyebrows shaped. One has no eyebrows at all.
Lucinda Lavender: there are more parts to the dream... as well but this was the first part...
Lucinda Lavender: the next part is in a school situation
Roger Ormenthal: Have you ever met Deepak Chopra in RL?
Lucinda Lavender: no...tho I have a favorite book by him called the Spontaneous Fulfillment of Desire.
Paradise Tennant: jots it down for her reading list :)
Lucinda Lavender: In the school part of the dream...a younger woman new to teaching and has red frizzy hair...seems it is her first day.
Roger Ormenthal: I've seen him a few times, including times when he was associated with the TM movement, as I used to be involved with that. He is brilliant.
    Lucinda Lavender: Me too Roger:)
    Lucinda Lavender: TM
Roger Ormenthal: Do you still practice?
Lucinda Lavender: I start asking the girl questions and she seems threatened.
Lucinda Lavender: I finally ask her are you ok?
    --BELL--
Lucinda Lavender: She sees that I am caring for her and that she need not work so hard to present a certain image or to control the conversation. I explain that using intuition in the classroom is important to the running of the school. for smooth functioning. .I say that focus on the truth about how it feels in this moment helps.
Lucinda Lavender: Asking and being curious about what was going on is part of working many years in the field....less fear about communication.
    Lucinda Lavender: end of dream
    Lucinda Lavender: ah...kind of Roger...
    Lucinda Lavender: do you?
Paradise Tennant: like to really reflect on what you just said Luci .. how it is important to use intuition to achieve smooth functioning :)
Lucinda Lavender: :) I guess Paradise
Lucinda Lavender: almost like someone else wrote the dream
Roger Ormenthal: I no longer practice TM, and the reasons are complicated, having to do with the nature of the practice, Maharishi, and movement politics. For those who enjoy it, more power to them. I do engage in modified forms of meditation and inner exploration.
    Lucinda Lavender: same for me...
Lucinda Lavender: meditation happens at yoga class
Lucinda Lavender: a part that sounds wise
Lucinda Lavender: feel perhaps the Deepak Chopra part might have informed that latter part
Lucinda Lavender: going from retreat to work situation
Roger Ormenthal: Re a remarkable story by Deepak Chopra about his time with Maharishi, and a health crisis where his blood was transfused to Maharishi, and Chopra carried him into a hospital after he was thought to be dead, see: http://www.chopra.com/node/335
    Lucinda Lavender: reading...
    Roger Ormenthal: It is long!
Roger Ormenthal: Lucinda, were you a TM teacher?
    --BELL--
Paradise Tennant: what a lovely story Roger thank you :)
Roger Ormenthal: You're welcome. Deepak cared about Mahirishi deeply, as teacher, and man.
Lucinda Lavender: wow...I am a slow reader ...will have to finish in a bit
Lucinda Lavender: No I was not a teacher...
Roger Ormenthal: I was, and was involved for decades. For a couple of years, I was a volunteer at one of the facilities, in an engineering role.
Paradise Tennant: what do you think it added to your life Roger ?
Roger Ormenthal: That is a complex matter. I guess the ultimate success of a guru, is when the student takes flight out of the nest. As with parents, that can be a time of discord. Ready of not, I did leave the nest. Perhaps one of my greatest lessons was the ultimate guru is within, and see first that inner wisdom, before hankering after the external teachers, which involves a kind of giving power away. That is not to say that there are not many from whom we can learn.
Roger Ormenthal: (SEEK first that inner wisdom...)
Paradise Tennant: smiles yes .. we all have perfection within :) love that concept how perfection is perfectly egalitarian between individuals .. species :)
Lucinda Lavender: I am still reading... but..I just want to say that I have always some how heard his voice as similar to Maharishi...soothing for me somehow
    Paradise Tennant: wb :)
    Roger Ormenthal: CRASH
    Lucinda Lavender: wb
Paradise Tennant: kind of think real power is in surrender ...
    Lucinda Lavender: yes
    --BELL--
Lucinda Lavender: really appreciate your words about power Roger...
    Lucinda Lavender: Roger and Paradise...
Paradise Tennant: letting go .. of pretending that you have any real control in such a strange to borrow Druth's wonderful words  “concatenation of circumstance” that life is :) on a basic level
Paradise Tennant: submitting to other people is another story of course
Paradise Tennant: like taking on another dream
Roger Ormenthal: I did also have important experiences in meditation, expansion of consciousness beyond the limits of the body, omniscience (ritam bharya pragya [“that level which knows only truth”]), third eye opening, experience of different levels of the mind, of the transcendent. Confirmed my belief of mind as separate from the brain/body, our eternal nature, and eliminated any remaining fear of death.
Lucinda Lavender: My experience with leaning tm and my experience with that book I mentioned have both been great underlying structures for me
Paradise Tennant: which book sorry ?
Lucinda Lavender: The Spontaneous Fulfillment of Desire
Paradise Tennant: smiles yes thank you already wrote it down was thinking I missed one ;)
Paradise Tennant: what is ritam bharya pragy like :) ...if it can be put to words :))
Roger Ormenthal: It is the profound feeling/experience that you know everything, without a specific piece of  the everything in mind - though, one can focus on something and obtain that information. It is like knowingness without a specific focus. I think perhaps, it is related to plugging into that already existing level of creation, where everything is connected through the same underlying universal substance, and thus, we plug into the "universal database". For me, it was also related to third-eye opening.
Roger Ormenthal: The experience is not overwhelming, it is peaceful, and feels like a natural state one misses after it is gone.
Paradise Tennant: so like the breeze from an open window, it is there and then it is gone ?
Lucinda Lavender: I hope to hear more by reading the log. Thank you for sharing...
Roger Ormenthal: The experience is NOT overwhelming, it is peaceful, and feels natural, and one misses it after it is gone.
Lucinda Lavender: perhaps as if the mind has become like water and flows where ever it is lead?
Paradise Tennant: smiles and thinks of shiny little rivers :)
    Lucinda Lavender: :)
    --BELL--
Lucinda Lavender: was really curious to hear his response
    Lucinda Lavender: wb
    Roger Ormenthal: CRASH AGAIN!
Paradise Tennant: there must be a kind of resonance that stays ?
    Roger Ormenthal: Re your question...
Lucinda Lavender: Roger...I wondered if it was like the mind had become like flowing water and travelled where ever lead..
Roger Ormenthal: That experience is accessed by transcending to a particular deep level of the mind in meditation. In TM, one has the opportunity to experience different levels of the mind. When out of meditation, and back on more surface levels of the mind, the experience is not available - except for the adept, where that delicate level of experience can be maintained in normal waking consciousness. For a completely enlightened person, that would be an all-time reality. But yes, having experience that level, there is a "residue" that remains, a taste - and the knowledge that that level is real, and can be accessed again.
Paradise Tennant: how was it different than feeling your third eye awaken
Lucinda Lavender: must go for now...may both of you have a lovely sleep...thanks for the conversation:)
Paradise Tennant: thank you lucinda .. I always smile when I see you come online :)
    Roger Ormenthal: Bye Lucinda
    --BELL--
Roger Ormenthal: So I would guess my third-eye opening experiences, were like a baby opening eyes for the first time, so the perceptions/experiences were basic... Roger Ormenthal: I think for the adept, there would be great clarity and richness of other dimensional phenomena beings, multidimensional aspects of people, etc... Roger Ormenthal: For me, there was first, a sense of opening new eyes, as if my normal eyes had been closed for my entire life. Suddenly I could see...

Roger Ormenthal: There was a feeling of taking in everything around me, in 360 degree vision, not just limited to the front...
    --BELL—
Paradise Tennant:  Good night, Roger and thank you for sharing.
