Bruce Mowbray: Yes, when I walked across North Dakota, I visited some of the reservoirs they are trying to use (or should say... USING) to try to control the flooding.

Korel Laloix: Range buffalo is good, the grain fed stuff is like eating grain fed beef.

Bruce's satellite internet connection went down suddenly -- and did not return for over an hour.  That's why he disappeared.

Korel Laloix: She just go really violent when on pot... not like the others... I learned early to stay away from her when she was smoking pot... those where the times I ended up in the emergency room.
Dash Earthboy: ouch....like a mean drunk
Korel Laloix: She was OK when drunk. It was easy to raid her purse or the fridge when she was drunk. But when she was on pot... I hid.
Archmage Atlantis: Korel, I have never heard of anyone becoming violent......I believe you
Dash Earthboy: arch, I saw mean drunks and mean potheads at the biker bars I played
Korel Laloix: When she was popping pills as well, she was calm.
Korel Laloix: But pot really set her off.
Archmage Atlantis: Oy,.........each brain reacts differently
Dash Earthboy: yah
Archmage Atlantis: Did she love you, Korel.......or was she just a mean person?
Dash Earthboy: what's good for the goose is not necessarily good for the gander, nor the goslings :(

Korel Laloix: umm... well.. My mom and I hate each other.
Korel Laloix: But I am working on that.
Dash Earthboy: Korel, from personal experience I'd advise you not to share a bank account with her :(
Archmage Atlantis: So, in accurate response to my question about whether she loved you, then no, she hated you
Korel Laloix: lol... oh heck no.
Korel Laloix: No past tense.

Archmage Atlantis: And agree, not sharing of bank accounts

Korel Laloix: I am working on our relationship though.

Korel Laloix: I have no sign that she is.

Korel Laloix: For my faith and my way of thinking, I need to work on it.

Korel Laloix: I would rather achieve having a mom some time in the future than giving up now.
Dash Earthboy: i really like your attitude Korel ! :)
Zaldaan Sirnah: you could just leave and have a child so you can find how you treat your child similar to the way your mom treated you
Archmage Atlantis: Your true (true in parenthesis) mom may not be the biological mom
Dash Earthboy: not annoying at all :)
Zaldaan Sirnah: or you could stay and have a child and let the association's offering, for your observation, heal
Korel Laloix: I don't ever see using my womb... and I have to admit... one of the reasons is that I am afraid I could turn out to be like my mom.
Dash Earthboy: you know Zaldaan, in my social work I found many women who did what you said
Korel Laloix: But my only soft spot for my mother is that if she treated me like that, then she must have had a rough time of it when she was little as well.
Zaldaan Sirnah: the special case is the later
Zaldaan Sirnah: consider the way you see a grandparent treat their child, and how they treat their grandchild
Archmage Atlantis: The nice thing about having been aware that I am gay since I was around 9 is the acceptance that there will be no children to rescue me.

Korel Laloix: There are other options though.... For Erin and I, she wants to have kids and bear them.
Dash Earthboy: i've been hearing of GLBT's choosing surrogates and other things in addition to regular adoptions

Korel Laloix: I had a private chat with one of my brothers who agreed to "donate"  .. grins

Korel Laloix: One of the reasons I chose Psych as one of my majors... hopefully understanding will let me change the trend as it could effect me.

Dash Earthboy: well, Zon, I do believe my definition encompasses parental, metaphysical, etc.

Korel Laloix: But I am ready to admit that I might have just had seen really really really bad philosophy teachers.
