Paradise Tennant: so far the most immediate effect was eyewatering gas .. if I lit a match in the bedroom quite convinced there would have been a flash fire ..

Paradise Tennant: also a compelling reason to move to a larger room
Paradise Tennant: though blue never goes far from my side so the onslaught continues :)

Wol Euler: mostly I walk around in autopilot with my eyes shut, but every once ina while I wake up and look around, and think "wow, this is a great place"

Ramana Sweetwater: I have not really understood yet what to practicie, despite reading the notecard
Wol Euler: in a word, "attention"
Paradise Tennant: smiles mostly it is about paying attention :)) being present .. one of the strategies is to stop periodically and be still for 9 secs or if you have time longer ..

Wol Euler: paying attention to what is around us, instead of what we think is around us :)
Wol Euler: one of our expressions for that is "peeling the labels off things"
Ramana Sweetwater: This would mean that basically I live my life without awareness of the here and now?

Wol Euler: on the contrary, it means that you live in heightened awareness of here and now
Paradise Tennant: yes
Wol Euler: but of what is actually here, not what you think it means
Ramana Sweetwater: It feels strange to me to try to be more aware, actually that's what I am when I wake up and stop when I go sleeping...
Paradise Tennant: hmm how much of your conscious thought it directly in the present moment
Wol Euler: most of my day is spent *not* inthe present moment, but in thoughts and planning and memories
Ramana Sweetwater: most of it, I only have self declared times, where I think about past or future
Wol Euler: I set off to walk downtown, and realize when I got there that I was on autopilot, walking along but thinking about something else
Ramana Sweetwater: I know that for instance from car driving, ok. But often also while driving I focus on what really happens.
Paradise Tennant: what do you thoughts about hte present look like
Ramana Sweetwater: Like pondering about how I always trust tires, if one would break what a big problem that would be

Ramana Sweetwater: At present I am thinking how I am trying to have some intelligent communication on SL :)
Paradise Tennant: that is pondering a what if in the furture :)

Paradise Tennant: the present would be more like noticing each breath, really seeing the colours around you , feeling the textures you touch , finding a still big space within
