Still working on my project although it has been tougher to do so far today. Should I be thinking about wu wei on only the second day? (actually third day for me)
A good day to begin this, with doggo having some tests at the vet. Quite preoccupying.
Thankful for the PaB logs, which easily located the timer best-suited for these exercises, after I'd tried a few others: http://www.mindfulnessdc.org/mindfulclock.html
:) A few observations:
Step #1 of the variation of "3 Breaths" I'm doing, which is applying the breaks, takes place again to transition from #2 (the inventory of basic situation/surrounding, self included) to #3. At #3, I find that I'm repeating a few times until having the *sense* of the exploration, rather than just following the 1,2,3 = done.
Used my first cup of coffee of the day for the exercise.
I started while I was making the coffee. Appreciate the presence of a tap with clean water. Appreciate the presence of coffee, and see how much was necessary to get the coffee here: water, earth and sun to make it grow, people who farmed, harvested, shipped it. People and machines to roast and grind it. Etc. I bowed to all that.
When it was ready, I sat down and bowed again. Then I drank, trying to stay mindful of the interconnectedness of me, the coffee and the rest of the world. Noticed my mind wanted to wander quite quickly, wanted to do something instead of all this noticing and appreciating. Stayed mindful for about half a cup, then I allowed my mind to wander.
I remembered to bow to my food a few more times today. Maybe this is something that could actually become a habit.
Attending the Dream session in PaB West Area today for the first time. Sharing dreams is such a wonderful practice for breaking new ground! A mesmerizing ¨steampunkish clockwork train" from someone's dream jumped the train of my imagination and I'm now happily riding on it to wherever it will lead me, delighted at the perspective of a novel destination.

First day is sometimes wobbly. :)
An old friend waves a greeting,
"I believe in you!"
waves back and continues the day with a smiling mind.

At each gong, added "is this a dream?" to the awareness breath.
Funny that the answer is not always a clear Yes or No.
Everything seems to be on spectrum.
Greetings from the future:) I will be here to listen, dream, and treasure this lovely community.
Look for me on day 30:)
